A well-respected documentarian, photographer Martha Cooper has captured many a subculture in a time when few would actively explore the landscapes which included both graffiti and hip-hop. In her most recent project which began six years ago, her fascination with the use of postal/courier stickers as a form of communication has led to her latest publication, “Going Postal”. The book includes works predominately seen in New York and Philadelphia but also features other samples from Baltimore, San Francisco, Berlin, Tokyo and Amsterdam.

Man kennt diese Teile, die einen ansehnlichen Gegenpol zu den öden Designs der Standardaufkleber von Dienstleistern bilden. In diesem Buch hat die Frau mit den geschulten Augen eine attraktive Auswahl zusammengestellt, die aus New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, San Francisco, Berlin, Tokio und Amsterdam stammen, wobei es keine Rolle spielt, ob dahinter bekannte Künstler stecken oder ob die Herkunft nicht mehr zurück zu verfolgen war - das Design muss einfach rocken!
