When the Forum was introduced by adidas in 1983, it was considered to be the most technological basketball shoe of its time, because the added heel cup and the velcro strap resulted in best ankle protection. Now, more than a quarter-century later, the adidas Forum is still one of the most wanted retro shoes of the early 80s.

Als adidas 1983 den Forum einführte, galt dieses Modell als der technisch versierteste Basketball-Schuh auf dem Markt, weil die integrierte Fersenschale und der Velcro-Strap dem Fuß eine deutlich höhere Stabilität als vergleichbare Modelle verlieh. Und heute, ein gutes Vierteljahrhundert später, gilt adidas´ Forum als einer der beliebtesten Low-Tops im Früh-80er Design.
