Das Label Rhymesayers aus Minneapolis, Minnesota war stets ein Gütesiegel und White Van Music bestätigt dies erneut. Während die meisten Releases hier eher ein Underground-orientiertes Publikum ansprechen, schafft Jake Ones Debütalbum den Schulterschluss mit dem Mainstream. Der Producer aus Seattle, Washington ist kein unbeschriebenes Blatt, sondern hat in der Vergangenheit für Größen wie De La Soul, 50 Cent oder Snoop Dogg produziert. Sein Album präsentiert eine gelungene Mischung aus Berühmtheiten und Untergrund-Sternchen: MF Doom, Little Brother, Busta Rhymes, Evidence, Prodigy, Black Milk, Casual, Alchemist, M.O.P. oder den Rhymesayern Slug, Blueprint und Brother Ali. Favoriten sind Trap Door mit MF Doom und Oh Really mit Slug & Posdnuos. Doch man braucht sich nicht festzulegen, denn das Album kann und will man durchhören. Und genau das macht ja einen guten Longplayer aus. Außerdem spricht es für Jake Ones Haltung und guten Geschmack, sich für Rhymesayers entschieden zu haben. Mit MF Doom gibt es gleich zwei Tracks auf dem Album – was ebenfalls für sein Urteilsvermögen spricht.
