Dub Echoes is an amazing newly produced documentary about Dub and its influence on the development of contemporary electronic music worldwide. Three years in the making and featuring an incredible array of artists - both Jamaican legends (U Roy, King Jammy, Lee Perry, Sly and Robbie, Bunny Lee, to name a few), alongside a similarly awe-inspiring array of artists who have taken Dub into new directions in electronic dance music in the 21st Century (Kode9, Roots Manuva, Howie B, Adrian Sherwood, ) and many more.

Diese Dokumentation feiert das 40jährige Jubiläum von Dub und zugleich den 20. Todestag des Pioniers King Tubby, der einst mit seinem Sound eine musikalische Revolution auslöste. Gleichzeitig wird der Einfluss von Dub auf zeitgemäße elektronische Musik herausgestellt. Drei Jahre dauerte die Vorbereitungszeit zu dieser DVD, was auch ein Beleg dafür ist, dass hier akribisch gearbeitet wurde, damit alle Aspekte dieser aus Jamaika stammenden Musikrichtung abgedeckt werden. Mit dabei sind Legenden wie U Roy, King Jammy, Lee Perry, Sly & Robbie, Bunny Lee u.a., aber auch diejenigen, die dem Dub zum nächsten Level verholfen haben, wie Kode9, Roots Manuva, Howie B oder Adran Sherwood sind mit am Start. Regie führte bei diesem Award-prämierten Streifen Bruno Natal, veröffentlich wurde das Ganze von Soul Jazz Records. Spielzeit: ca. 75 Minuten.
