This is a contemporary update of the legendary Air Jordan 6 high-top basketball boots by Nike-sub Brand Jordan with a few differences based on the original 1990 release: The nubuck upper has been replaced by premium suede, and the original infrared color on some details made way for a fresh tone entitled varsity red, while the construction keeps it as authentic as possible. Nevertheless it's a great reminder of the good old days when every kid and his moms were sporting basketball high-tops with the world-famous Jumpman logo.
Features include partially perforated premium suede upper, a padded and big hole perforated collar, soft and breathable fabric lining, various lacing options, and improved Air cushioning technology for perfect comfort and shock absorption. Originally designed by Tinker Hatfield.

Dass der Air Jordan 6 des von Nike initiierten Jordan Brand bereits 20 Jahre auf dem Buckel hat ist eigentlich unfassbar, denn dieses Modell hat locker jede technische Pseudo-Innovation des Basketball überlebt und stellt immer noch gefühlte 98% aller BBall-Treter in den Schatten. Liegt es an der sehr eigenen, durch diverse Overlays verursachte Linienführung, dem perfekten Laufkomfort, der idealen, durch eine integrierte Air Unit hervorgerufenen Dämpfung, der Popularität des Namensgebers oder am Ende doch nur der geschickten Marketing-Strategie des Mutterkonzerns Nike? Wer weiß das schon, und am Ende des Tages ist es auch völlig egal, denn was zählt ist der unglaubliche Kultfaktor, der dieses Modell umgibt und hauptverantwortlich für den immensen Hype ist, den Nike mit jeder Neuauflage provoziert.
Und hier issa wieder, der jute Jordan 6 Retro! Abgesehen von der Tatsache, dass das Nubukleder durch Suede ausgetauscht wurde und sich das Rot ein wenig verändert hat, bleiben diesem unsterbliche Style Updates erspart - und das ist gut so!
