Up My Alley presents

More than two years after the first two Beatnicks Samplers (which received overwhelming Feedback from all over the
place) Up My Alley strikes again with Volume 3, showcasing only the freshest output of a new beatmaking generation.
It's a balanced mix of known and new cats, stuffing this release with both the floor-friendly and deeper
sides of Beat production.

Side A kicks off with a banger if there ever was one – german producers and former neighbors fLako & Berghem (both
featured on Beatnicks 1 & 2 already) team up for “Put Chur Hand Up”, making sure what to do here is clear. Put Chur
Hand Up that`s what you need to do - produced in 2007, still fresh in 2010! Where were you three years ago?
Powell (Paris) and O.Boogie (Amsterdam) complete Side A with their contributions somewhere in between HipHop and Electro, chopping things up heavily to great effect. Powell just remixed Up My Alley`s latest signing Shuanise, O.Boogie was featured on the groundbreaking Beat Dimensions Sampler and just started a project for more dancefloor oriented stuff with his partner in crime Ebokai.

Side B holds the deeper side of production which we love just as much, welcoming finnish Dubstep producer
extraordinaire Desto, Texas based whizzkid Rez and former RBMA participiant Ki En Ra from Tallinn / Estonia to the evergrowing family of Beatnicks producers. Desto`s “Lost Bits” was cooked up in the Helsinki University Soundlab cutting up analogue tape next to using some other oldschool maneuvers, resulting in a dubstep electronica hybrid we simply won`t get tired listening to. Rez contributes “Sunday”, a laidback bleepy affair that has been sitting in our vault for quite a while now and simply had to be put on vinyl. Last but not least, Ki En Ra from Tallinn completes Volume 3 with “Ghanacondor”, deep and beautiful
headphone material.
