Acrylick about the Untraditional artwork: "Tradition is something that is prevalent and customary in many households and relationships. It is found in many different areas of life, and creates a sense of unity. It makes people respect their culture and ancestry. Despite this, some tradition may lead to predictability, blandness, and a monotonous life. We base our design on evolving, while still respecting tradition. We take tradition and customize it to our lives. This leads to growth rather than just stagnant being. We respect what was given in the past and use it to better ourselves. We take our already existing traditions and use it as a tool to expand on our art; taking our art to the next level. We used a geisha for this design and gave her a modern touch. Geishas were part of Japanese custom, and known as entertainers, each having to learn a musical instrument or art. We used this traditional imagery and added in a modern instrument or art: a set of turntables. We choose the untraditional approach."
