Item Description

Despite a production career as Dollkraut some five years deep, Dutchman Pascal Pinkert remains one of his country's most under-rated producers though the reception to a recent 12" for Permanent Vacation suggested the wider world was ready to embrace his talents. Ahead of a debut LP for Brandt Brauer Frick's label THE GYM, Pinkert lines the first release on Charlois a new label from friend and Pinkman boss Patrick Marsman which will focus more on weirder strands of disco, electro, wave and more. Blackbox is a fine way to commence proceedings with "Loose Ends" a fine vocoder addled electro number that doesn't sound restricted to any era. Complementing this, both "Hier Soll Es Toller Sein" and the title track are delightfully odd B Side gems that add credence to Pinkert's under rated status.
