The Koliphones are a moog funk super group from Tel Aviv, consisting of Kutiman (drums), Kalbata (moog) and Mix Monster (producer). The Koliphones sound is 100% analog. Koliphones statement: “The Koliphones project was born in the summer of 2007, in the boiling heat of the south Tel Aviv neighbourhood where we live. Joined by our love to rare psychedelic grooves, dusty 45’s and hard hitting bass, we teamed up to create an all analog experimental funk project, recorded on tape, using 100% analog gear, with mostly moog and drums as instruments.
