Item Description

Jaki Liebezeit and Ian Tregoning present the debut album by Magnetiknorth - ‘evolver’. Magnetiknorth is a fusion of live drums, acoustic instruments and electronic sequencing. Drum performances are fed through processors, samplers and sequencers to produce layers of rhythmic patterns that interact with each other. The sounds from other instruments are melted into different textures so that only the harmonic content remains.
A hypnotic blend of industrial, classical, Krautrock and Detroit electronica. Like listening to a ‘raga in an earthquake’. Live dates in London are planned for later in the year.
