Pumpkin Silence Radio EP

Silence Radio, the new EP from the silky voiced French-Spanish emcee-poetess Pumpkin, is a contemporary Boom Bap gumbo expertly seasoned to knock out Soul Food connoisseurs of all cuts. The release was formulated as an intimate storytelling session – packaged in seamless, melodic, and in the original meaning of the word Jazz, word acrobatics. Native French speakers will be blessed with layers of subtle wordplay and thoroughly honest musings about this thing we call life. The rest of us will just have to live with the compulsively induced head nods, and a beautiful, hypnotic voice well dipped in all types of blues.

Silence Radio was crafted and finessed by beat smith luminaries such as DJ Vadim, 20syl (Hocus Pocus/C2C), Vin'S da Cuero, Josh Fontan of Beatspoke, Pater Jacob, Supafuh, Quiet Dawn and DJ Lyrik. It also features a thick host of international vocalists representing the progressive end of the contemporary Hip Hop Paradigm: Metropolis of Foreign Beggars, Ty, Pugs Atomz, and Sarah from Beatspoke.

This EP is definitely a journey – on the surface perfect for a nasty sound system, but it also conceals a depth more than suitable for late night headphone consumption.
