Tujurikkuja—the duo of Joshua Kit Clayton and Chris Dixon (Earth Jerks, ex-Death Sentence: Panda!—produces (emits) broken-down not-music. An improvised assemblage of tape hiss, sine-waves, reverb and an unnecessarily oppressive amount of compression, wires cross to create tracks with no real beginning or end. Something akin to randomly turning the dial on an old transistor radio while sneaking around an old, abandoned power-plant. Both sides are cut from much longer sessions recorded in San Francisco, CA. and Portland, OR., the devices left to their own machinations with very little physical engagement. This 10" EP is cut at 45rpm but sounds equally engaging when played at 331/3. Limited edition of 250 white label copies housed in old-timey green paper sleeves.
