Agitation Free sind die meistumjubelte Band des Krautrocks Remastered auf 180 gr Vinyl mit Original Artwork Die Band entstand 1967 durch den Zusammenschluss zweier Berliner Rockgruppen.

Im April 1972 ging die Band in der Besetzung Lutz Ulbrich, Michael Günther, Jörg Schwenke, Michael Hoenig und Burghard Rausch auf Einladung des Goethe-Institut auf Tournee durch Ägypten, Libanon, Zypern und Griechenland.

Die vielfältigen Eindrücke dieser Reise fanden ihren Niederschlag in dem ersten Album ,Malesch'.

Umfangreiche Aktivitäten verschafften der Band in ganz Europa einen stetig ansteigenden Bekanntheitsgrad.

So trat die Gruppe im Sommer 1972 im kulturellen Programm der Olympischen Spielen in München auf, tourte Anfang 1973 zwei Monate durch Frankreich, trat im Mai beim ,German Rock Super Concert" in Frankfurt auf, produzierte das zweite Album ,2nd" und ging anschließend auf Tournee durch Frankreich und deutsche Großstädte.

Sowohl der SFB, als auch der WDR strahlten Portraits und Live-Konzerte aus. 1974 machten sich bei der Band Ermüdungserscheinungen breit, die Ende des Jahres nach einem Abschiedskonzert zur vorläufigen Auflösung führten.

Im Rückblick zeigte sich, dass der Experimentier-Zirkel Agitation Free eine der wichtigen Bands der ,Berliner Schule" und darüber hinaus Karriere-Sprungbrett für einige Deutsche Musiker war.

So verhalf Christopher Franke der Band Tangerine Dream zu weltweiter Anerkennung. Michael Hoenig arbeitet mit Klaus Schulze und Tangerine Dream, ehe er nach einem Soloalbum in Hollywood als Filmkomponist bekannt wurde (unter anderm die Filmusik für 9/12 Wochen).

Axel Genrich wechselte zu Guru Guru, Burghard Rausch wurde Gründungs-Mitglied bei Bel Ami .

Gustl Lütjens, tourte mit Shirley Bassey und Nena und fand später mit seiner New-Age-Band Living Mirrors vor allem in den USA ein großes Publikum.

Lutz ,Lüül" Ulbrich schloss sich Ashra an, arbeitete mit Ex-Velvet Underground-Sängerin Nico, produzierte neben Theatermusik Soloplatten und feiert seit Ende der neunziger Jahre mit den 17 Hippies Erfolge.

Recorded in a shed at Taieri Mouth between 1998 and 2000, Mie's vinyl reissue of ALASTAIR GALBRAITH's Cry CD (Emperor Jones 2000) looks directly into the furthest recesses of the mind of one New Zealand's most admired yet habitually overlooked underground musicians. Next up on Don’t Get It Twisted, a collaboration between Blacks and Coki. The Don’t Get It Twisted EP features the original Coki DMZ version of a remix that features on Blacks’ ‘Disturbing the Peace’ mixtape. Bedouins on the flip side is a straight up slice of Coki madness with twisted horns, hypnotic eastern vocals and sub bass to rattle the speaker stacks.

Organism is the Swiss techno label owned by Yan Stricker. Since 2008, it has dealt in a stripped brand of minimalism releasing artists like the boss himself, Mylo Salte and Tom Laws, who returns once again here alongside Bodyscrub aka Italian producer Roberto Bonetti. It’s no wonder the pair have picked up support from tastemakers like Adam Beyer and Cari Lakebusch on the evidence of new single ‘Eagle Eyes’. It is a buried deep piece of smooth and streamlined techno with frictionless rhythms, pin point digital FX and a very real sense of tension. The kicks roll unhindered from start to finish and a sense of sci-fi alienism rises throughout this minimum effort maximum impact production. The original comes back with two remixes, the first from RedHead, a lifelong techno enthusiast with EPs on labels like Zync and Primate. His version canters much more, with a thick sub bass undercurrent and more textured synths searching across the face of the track’s horizon.It’s another !Organism artist, Subfractal, who tackles the final remix and opts to transform it into a haunted, textured offering rich with occult atmospheres, weird sounds and distant hit hats that eventual come to form and consume you in a rampaging, stomping groove. This album is the follow-up to his 2009 debut LP ‘Everybody’s Talking, Nobody’s Listening!’ and provide the most decisive musical statement Caspa has made yet. Running through the gamut of sounds and scenes that inspire him with the help of a selection of like-minded contemporaries, those who have pinned him down as simply a dubstep artist will quickly be re-adjusting their viewpoints. Italian rising artist Dario Tronchin a.k.a. Chevel made a name for himself in the 2012 techno scene thanks to his unique mixture of experimental dub oriented techno sounds. After being signed by Lucy´s Stroboscopic Artefacts, Chevel´s need of pursuing his own sound aesthetics brought him to launch his first music platform, Enklav. Enklav is a label founded by Chevel himself in 2012; its aim is to release both his friends´ and his own vision on electronic music, with tracks and sounds that move from minimalistic techno to ambient via noise or classic acid house. "Rediscovery" will be the very first vinyl released by Enklav, after having grown up through digital market thanks to tracks by Von Tesla, Evn, Mudwise and the recent Quatremont College project,a moniker hiding the identities of the Enklav collective (Von Tesla, Evn, Mudwise and Chevel). The ep consists of seven tracks featuring both recent and old recordings made by Chevel, a package where Dario shows the best of his sound palette, mixing up old and new techniques of composition. The use of analogue hardware and modular systems are predominant both in harder acid tracks like "Isolation" and in the smoother melodic ones like "The Hills" or "Rediscovery". Expect much more from Chevel in the next months, with his further committment to Non Series (an album planned to be released within the end of the year) we´re sure this upcoming italian artist will have much more to say in the next future.

Dominik Eulberg, of Traumschallplatten, Cocoon and Kompakt notoriety, presents the next installment of the Hertzblut Recordings EP series in the form of ‘Backslash’. The EP opens with ‘Opel Tantra’, a delectable example of a living, breathing techno orchestra in full effect. B-side ‘Noch Ein Bass im Ärmel’ sees plucked strings and key stabs pick out an alluring groove, as distant chimes twinkle evoking the enchanted forest ever-present in Eulberg’s thoughts.

Harlem-based producer Nathan Broaddus is the latest addition to the Friends of Friends roster, originally hailing from Virginia. Evenings makes slow and subtle beat music with his own guitar and vocals, which fits in with other laid-back back interpretations of hip-hop on the label from artists like Shlohmo and Ernest Gonzales. "Yore" is his first full release on the imprint, following an appearance on January compilation "Show Me the Future".

After hearing ‘Tubular’ turn the Samurai Music room at Cable in October 2012 inside out at the hands of Skeptical, Samurai Music’s Presha contacted Dutch producer Fre4knc (pronounced “frequency”) the very next day and signed the tune for a 12? release on the label.

An analogue jam session, where the producer used only his beloved Minimoog Voyager, an old Sequential Circuits drumtraks and the classic TR 909. This EP is not purporting to be anything but a sincere, superbly executed homage to a classic era.

The title track, >Rascal< returns to Garys more familiar sound with swelling pads and synths clad in fading loops and textures. The track varies in intensity but maintains the groove, as it balances a peak time feel with an almost reflective ambiance. >Video Siren< is stripped and straight-up techno.

Ten unreleased slices of finest Cool and Modern Jazz from Germany, played by one of the best baritone saxophonists and arrangers of his generation. Compilation of lost tracks from the Helmut Brandt estate, mainly recorded at AFN and SFB studios in Berlin and at the German jazz festival between 1956 and 1958, with original material - "Nordlicht", "Bami", "Sum" or "Berlin Calling" - plus great versions of "Yesterdays" or "Love For Sale". Truly distinctive arrangements with Conny Jackel on trumpet in a beautiful "four brothers" style, played in the spirit of the Miles Davis Capitol Orchestra - remastered, with unknown photos and a story that shines a light on an unjustly forgotten talent.

Tabla Records is a new record label from Nürnberg, Germany, run by esteemed club promoters and DJs, Micha Klang (also a producer for labels like Off, Safari, Clap Your Hands) and Serdal Dincer. The first release comes from established house producer and Dutchman Ion Ludwig. Labels like Meander and Tenth Circle have released his reductive and minimalist jazzy brews before, and the man himself is soon to launch his own label. Ahead of that though he serves up two new tracks for Tabla. The first is Spuren das Speed, a tightly woven tapestry of wonky synth lines bobbling beats. Up-lit by typically jazzy chords, it grows ever more out of itself, surging then receding and pulling you with it at every turn. The remix comes from another exciting Dutch talent in the form of young Alex Jansen. He sees fit to pull everything back into a sunken deep house march. Sheets of steel seem to gentle whip and snap as the track rolls forwards with lasting feeling coming from the downbeat chords that dampen down the whole thing. The second and final original from Ion Ludwig is stuffed with real world ambiance – the sound of a party going on in another room seems to form the backdrop as exquisitely designed and itchy hi hats shimmer in the foreground. Of course the whole thing is propped up by a chunky underside and when you listen closely, all manner of pattering toms, waify melodies and distant voices seem to hang in the air like smoke, drifting too and fro of their own accord.

Frank Music proudly presents Johannes Albert's Debut LP "Hotel Novalis". Emerging from the deep-down Spessart woods in southern Germany, he is doing his thang since the mid 90s as a charming House DJ. Remember the golden days of NYC, Strictly Rhythm, Masters at Work and the likes? That's where we at. After some years of dropping the records he loves he decided to add some more spice to the soup, starting to work on his own house trax. Released on vinyl by the WHITE label and through his own imprint ‚Frank Music' amongst others. A couple of Twelve Inches later and another move to the bold B his first album is ready to hit the game. It's a ride full of any take on happy house music: refreshing piano accords ("Temptation & Fries"), bumpin drum machine rhythms ("Copa Systems feat. Iron Curtis") and almost friendly acid lines ("Acid Queen" feat. Monosoul). Johannes is not afraid of going into the deep ("Basic RY Patterns", "In A Ferris Mood") as well as sending the dancers into a rave mode ("BNT"). To take things down the Frank Music caretaker uses beatdown-ish elements on "Muskrat Susie" or "Symptoms of the feel good" which own a hint to Flying Lotus and STL. Don't forget some cheesiness between the lines on "Where The Green Sings". I know what you thinking. But no retro trap needed in here but just a warm summer vibe. "Hotel Novalis" is like a good night out probably. You start slowly, get into the mood, raise your hands during a climax and get home safely with a smile in your eye. So press play and enjoy the trip!

After the unanimous global acclaim of 'Glass Eights,' John Roberts returns with 'Fences,' his second full length offering on Hamburg's Dial Records. From elegantly dusted chamber pop and semi-psychedelic acoustic musings to turgid orchestral dance floor fillers, Roberts creates a beautifully collaged symphony of recorded violins, cellos, cracked guitars, detuned pianos, faded samples, broken drum machines and manipulated answering machine cassettes.

'Fences' is informed by the effects of travel on the brain: produced over the span of a year in various countries, it is in large part a recollection of what the mind chooses to imprint upon itself, and what physical sensations are dragged to the surface during a re-examination of those particular experiences. It is a deeply personal recorded exercise in free association resulting in a sort of sedated fever dream: Plucked and bowed strings reverberate densely through thick air against weighted persian rugs, while the voices of white-lacquered synthesizers cry out along the marble tiles of empty palace corridors, yellowed nylon guitar strings are rhythmically pounded against microphones between the mirrored walls of a hotel bathroom, their distorted signals captured and warmed on VHS cassettes before being ejected and thrown into the brackish water of a worn bathtub. Gathered and dried off, these aural relics are patched together into a delicate piecemeal - patent leather next to cashmere next to plastic next to lace - with visible seams but impeccable stitch work.

With 'Fences,' genres are either disregarded completely or shredded and re-sculpted into unfamiliar amalgamations. Pop songs are gutted and disemboweled before eventually being given a new skin of collaged features stretched tightly across their frames, the tired bones of dance music are stamped and shattered into shards, melted and re-pressed into pleasurable moments of introspection spotted with outbursts of anthemic extroversion. Roberts chooses to focus here on the unpredictable nature of the mind, weaving recalled experience with minor works of fiction. This is music from the forgotten film scores of discarded laser discs, the sound of memories re-quilted into slabs and thin-sliced into patterns which, when played back, conjure visions of the past and materialize impossible moments of Déjà vu for instances of the future not yet experienced.

Lee Perry’s time at WIRL Records, later to be renamed Dynamic Sounds Studios, was a very productive time
in his career. A run of great singles and the shaping of a new sound, the beginning of what we know today as
Reggae .

Four raw, gritty tracks make up the first release from the mysterious Lordamercy Edits series. With links to the 2000Black family this release is certifiably dope. Lots of requests for all the tracks from dj’s and dancefloors across the globe after selection by Dego, especially when he played Plastic People not so long ago.

Following on from the floor filling delights of his last effort, Ragazzini / Diavolo Di Un Disco (played by almost everyone from Dimtri From Paris to Todd Terje, from Prins Thomas to Justin Vandervolgen via Tensnake), the Italian born Federico Costantini might well have decided to replicate the same formula for his next EP on Hell Yeah. But no, the man has more about him than that, and instead turns in three wildly different cuts that touch on a wide array of influences from broken disco to soul, post rock to African rhythms. As a resident at Rome party Exe-Cute, Luminodisco knows how to work a dancefloor in style and does so again with the tracks here. Burundiness for example, which grows from the delicate rattles of cow bells and muffle of distant voices into a predatory disco crawl, laden down with xylophone sounds, squelchy claps and melancholic piano chords - it sounds alive, organic and like a field recording of some African savannah come sun down.

Hypno Bomb! Martin Patino belongs to the generation who have enhanced house music with a new vibrant sound design. His track >Michal< is a spiritual and breathtaking experience, a mesmerizing encounter into the deeper and psychedelic side of the soul.
