A/jus/ted is the musical concept of veteran producer Justin Strauss and analog aficionado Teddy Stuart, better known as Eddie Mars. The pairs inaugural release comes in the form of "A brighter light" featuring the incandescent vocals of Jeremy Glenn for London based Under the shade records. Adhering to the current trend for all things Jersey circa 90's is the Lars Vegas (more commonly known as one half of Detroit Swindle) remix. Going straight for the jugular with tight stabs and punchy percussion its manifesto is set out clear to see from the outset. What makes this different from the run of garage productions currently swamping the scene is its tight pairing with the vocals. Rather than chopping into a garbled nonsense, Glenn's vocals are allowed free reign and are used in there entirety to provide the extra musicality to move Vegas' remix into a standout weapon. Make no mistake this will destroy a dancefloor. Rounding up a/jus/ted show there versatility by remixing themselves, weighing in with a track brimming with ideas.

Although singer/guitarist/songwriter Aalon Butler is far from a major name in either soul or rock, serious connoisseurs of soul music remember him for four recordings released on the independent PKC label out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Butler was the lead singer of the New Breed Band with which he released two outstanding 45rpm singles. Their first release (It's Got To Be Something b/w Please Give Me A Chance) is a favorite in Northern Soul circles while their second release (Gettin Soul Pt.1 b/w Pt.2) has become a Deep-Funk anthem over the years. In 1969 the New Breed Band changed their name to A Different Bag and moved to Los Angeles, California, after a short stint in Memphis, Tennessee. They kept releasing 45s under their new name until they split up in around 1977. Key-selling points: limited to 300 copies, original label artwork, officially licensed

Geno presents it’s first record from label head, Aaron Hedges. Aaron has been very busy dj’ing in Berlin’s best venues: Kater Holzig, Prince Charles, Arena/Badeschiff, and his bi-monthly residency at Klangsucht’s “Gegen Kultur” party. When Aaron is not playing, he’s been locked away in his studio working on a full length album and numerous forth coming vinyl/club oriented EP’s. The title track, Blasta, is a sleek and modern tech house stormer. Blasta contains well blended and diverse influences, such as African Jazz, Jamaican dub, and German and French house. It’s this unique and normally disparate genre’s of music and production styles that makes Blasta a unique gem. The B Side, Collapsed Caldera, is a break beat oriented, organic house song. Guitar, harp, and vocals gently guide over complex yet natural percussive rhythms.

Illusion007 has a licence to kill, coming courtesy of Illusion Family members Acid Mondays with a stunning remix at the hands of Detroit legend Delano Smith. The 'Salvia Sessions EP' takes you on a rhythmic, hypnotic, tribal laced House journey into the inner workings of the cosmic duo's minds. Lead track 'Got To Get Higher' hypnotic house vibe is pumped along by the duo's cajual-esque drums, which intertwine beautifully with layer upon layer of vocals, FX and a thunderous sub-bass to create a monster of a club track ready for the biggest dance floors. On remix duties Detroit's Delano Smith for his first outing on the label and boy he does deliver. Delano pumps up the tempo and vibe and builds an insatiable groove around his typically classy motor city beats and eerie strings, delicately seducing elements of the original hooks in and out of rework to create a mesmerising, loopy dance floor House bomb! On the B-side, the duo contrast the A-side with two tracks which are a little deeper and take their inspirations from many a Monday in Ibiza. 'Me! I'm Over Here' builds its structure around their typical solid drums and layered vocals, pumping along consistently bar two long breaks, which provide the track with two much needed breaths in preparation for the fist pumping that commences after the beats kick back in. 'Watching Eastwood' takes a more slung back, sultry vibe, showcasing a deeper side to the duo's usual pumping club tracks. The suggestive vocals entice you in and the funk of the b-line and beats get the head nodding and the hips shaking. This EP is prime dance floor material and reinforces the fact that Acid Mondays are a cosmic, tea-drinking force to be reckoned with!! Acciiiiidddddd!!!
