"Still Busy" is about still being excited after 10 years whilst searching for the perfect beat. Even though I make repetitive music, our motto since day one has been to ‘challenge ourselves.’ Ed Banger records is 10 years old this year. Strafe "Set it off" is 30 years old... I wanted to make something influenced by the very early years of my love story with electronic music. Thunderbird Gerard spitted it perfectly, adding his twist and took this track to another dimension.

While everybody is going back to disco (I send my love to Breakbot), I still feel the need for something darker and harder. Gesaffelstein & The Hacker's protégé Maelstrom was #1 on the list as my older brother forced me to like Front 242 when I was 14. Maelstrom delivered the perfect remix, for those who know Baalsaal in Hamburg or Hotel Shangai in Essen let's pretend it's 3am and dance.

When Parris Mitchell emailed me it made my day. Following the Daft Punk adventure from Chicago, he knew what's up. For those who don't remember, Parris is responsible for the Dance Mania classic "Ghetto Shout Out!" who later influenced the Daft's "Teachers". Feeling the Dance Mania and Kraftwerk vibes in his rework took me back to the time when we were record shopping. Yes... this record is full of nostalgia.

"This Song" can be seen as the dark side of the Rainbow man. But having fun with my Sidstation, getting some more tattoos, listening to Kenny Dope and asking my Australian mate Andrew Woodhead to sing was fun. Yes, sad songs make me happy.

Xavier De Rosnay (half of Justice, for the ones from Mars) told me this track should have been more "minimal". He spent a couple of nights in his studio jamming and sent me this one with a smile on his face. After Queen Ruined by Rick Rubin, here is Busy P Suicided by Xavier De Rosnay!

Asking Dexter to remix "This Song" was natural. I started Ed Banger records in 2003, as you know, but only few people remember the first release...Of course you'll find Mr Flash "Radar Rider" on internet... but what about the other side of ED001 ? My long time friend Philippe ZDAR (Motorbass / Cassius) invited me to his studio, we listened to some DAT and found "F.I.S.T" which became the 2nd track we released on ED REC. Electro "au sens noble du terme" (as we say in french) is what drives my whole passion. Robot music, soulless music, cold music, whatever... I could take my Dopplereffekt album on a desert island and I'll be happy. Adding the love for this music with the mystery around Dexter pushed me to ask him to be involved. Is he the last one using sequencers and drum machines ? Maybe... I don't know but the mythology is gold in this crazy world. I choose to be a believer.

Recording artists Jimi Tenor & Nicole Willis who are life partners as well as past collaborators, reunite for their new project, artist name Cola&Jimmu, “Cola", a kind of pseudonym of Nicole and “Jimmu", associated with the legend of the first emperor of Japan, Jimnu Tenno. Both Tenor and Willis have fronted their own projects over the past decade, Willis most recently working with Helsinki - based group the Soul Investigators, for their albums Tortured Soul & Keep Reachin’ Up, Timmion Records 2005, 2013. The Helsinki Sanomat recently called Willis & the Soul Investigators “the world’s best on the stage of Tavastia". The title track of Keep Reachin’ Up was chosen in February 2012 for POTUS, Barack Obama’s Re - Election Spotify Playlist. Tenor also contributed horn arrangements to the 2 albums in the collaborative effort of Willis & the Soul Investigators. Tenor & Willis also wrote and recorded tracks from release of Tenor’s Call Of The Wild, from the LP Out Of Nowhere, Warp Records 2000. As of late, Jimi Tenor collaborated with Tony Allen for their LP on Strut Records 2009, Inspiration Information, eclectic “outsider” Itetune on Temmi Kongi 2011, with Abdissa Assefa, & the self titled Soft Focus with Lary 7 on Tommi Grönlund’s Puu/Sähko Recordings 2013. Willis & Tenor have roots in dance - floor music with there separate success’ such as Tenor’s techno classic Take Me Baby, & Willis’ neo - soul New York based project Repercussions, Promise Me Nothing which peaked at # 6 on Hot Dance Music, Club Play chart of Billboard Magazine, with remixes from Master’s At Work and Supa DJ Dmitry. R-Zone is a new label launched by Global Darkness. Who is involved isn't exactly a secret, those who feel so inclined can piece the information together quite easily. When the inevitable apocalypse does occur, it'll be these vibrations soundtracking the construction of our new civilization. Produced by Voiceless, an unknown artist(s) currently sculking in Manchester's subterranean dwellings and disused mill spaces. The EP begins with "Drop Them (Just Like That)" which soundtracks a million sub-human slaves operating the machinery required to mine resources for our new home. The repetitive kick and bass groove locking down the lesser-humans and forcing them to work while drifting sine waves and concentric tape echoes send binaural transmissions direct to the cerebrum, subconsciously programming them for later life. "True Dat" deploys a stark, alien sound palette on the listener, preparing them for darker days ahead - we are at war within the galaxy and Voiceless is at the front line, defending Earth through a barrage of machine gun hi-hats and thick, penetrating leads. Finally "Atlas" keeps the energy and narcosis running high. A flat-lined technoid acid attack with twangy stabs and a heavy sub make for post 4AM strobe machine abuse and uncontrollable devotion to the speaker stacks...

GAMM have been sleeping for a few months but is now back with a bunch of hot new releases. First up is an EP for those of you that are down with the funky latin sounds. Buenos Aires producer Doctor Stereo have delivered us two massive Afro/Latin jams with mucho caliente funk rhythms.
