A-Side: Spiralen - DJ Koze It is said that DJ Koze creates musical universes - yet what many don't realize is this: the universe itself was created 13.8 billion years ago by DJ Koze, before he condescended to become physical matter. He was the force of gravity that held everything together - and today, as for over 35 years, he continues to surprise again and again, scattering his stardust across the night sky. It's simply unbelievable.

"In your eyes, spirals are turning They pull me deeper than any mind can reach The world goes soft around its edges And everything drifts into no man's land"

AA-Side: "Wo's Patric?!?" - DJ Koze The title says it all - fortunately, Patric is always there. So beautiful that he exists.

The result is an array of dancefloor-destined destruction from the legendary UK superstar Sasha, melodic deep house wizard Lane 8, and Germany's very own H.O.S.H.

With "Jamaican (Bam Bam)," Hugel and Solto breathe new life into Sister Nancy's iconic anthem - a bold, rhythm-charged reinterpretation built for the modern dancefloor. It grips from the first beat: dynamic drumming, crisp claps, and a bassline that rolls deep with sway and sensuality. Layers tighten and unfold, teasing the body as electronic tinctures flicker beneath, building lift and slow, simmering tension. Through it all, Sister Nancy's voice cuts steady and alive, grounding the track in its roots while driving it forward. The energy keeps rising vibrant, climactic, and free. "Jamaican (Bam Bam)" smolders from within, a kinetic force that turns motion into release. Artwork by Rachael D’Alessandro. Words by Marie Floro. Executive Producer Mimmo Falcone. Distribution by Muting The Noise.

35th Anniversary Edition obi strip. Smokey Vinyl 2LP.

Glenn Underground is the founding member of the Strictly Jaz Unit. He was raised on disco classics and freeform jazz in Chicago's Southside, the place where house music was born. Taking inspiration from Chicago's original pioneers, Larry Heard, Ron Hardy, Lil' Louis, and the like, Glenn has produced many sought after house gems for some of the most well respected deep house labels such as Prescription and Guidance. The Jerusalem EP's, GU's second album for Peacefrog originally released in 1997 still sounds so fresh, so deep and so soulful. Blending jazz-tinged chord progressions with sax accents, and rolling basslines the album evokes the sound of late-’90s hypnotic Chicago house. Timeless, quality, underground house music for the mind, the body and especially the soul.

Alexander Skancke returns on his own Quirk label with Saga of Subvision, a focused 12" that further refines his sound between Minimal, House, Garage and Techno. Based in Berlin, the Norwegian producer is deeply rooted in analog production and club culture, with a clear dedication to vinyl-oriented, raw and tactile sound aesthetics.

The A-side is built for the dancefloor: driving, groove-led and marked by Skancke’s characteristic garage influences, delivering direct and functional club tools. The eleventh release from label Early Morning, run by Guy J, presents a three-track EP totaling 22 minutes and 23 seconds, reinforcing his position as one of the most disciplined and forward-thinking figures on the global scene. Despite intercontinental recognition, Guy J continues to approach his work with restraint and focus, treating sound not as a finished achievement but as an ongoing exploration.

His imagination remains a constant source of carefully developed ideas that resonate through a restrained yet expressive intensity.

The opening track, Piece of Cake, sets the tone with confident momentum, unfolding through a precisely balanced structure where hypnotic rhythm meets expansive spatial design.

Selector expands the palette with a fierce bassline drive, textured atmospheres, random squeaks, and euphoric build-up, building on the opening piece and taking the vibe into psychedelic territory.

The release concludes with Against the Wall, a composed and decisive finale. Strong rhythmic foundations, paired with suggestive female narrative vocal samples, bring the record to a resolved and coherent close.

After years of shaping dancefloors worldwide and carefully curating the sonic and visual identity of Up The Stuss, Dutch favourite Chris Stussy presents his most expansive and personal statement to date with his debut album, ‘Lost, Found & Forgotten...’. Landing on 3rd April, the album unfolds across three interconnected chapters - ‘Lost’, ‘Found’, and ‘Forgotten’ - each revealing a different side of his creative world across 19 tracks while remaining tethered to a singular wider vision.

At its core, ‘Lost, Found & Forgotten...’ is an exploration of creative freedom. Visually and conceptually guided by the image of a kite, the album reflects movement, perspective, and balance. Floating freely yet always anchored, the kite mirrors Chris’s approach to music: unrestricted in emotion and imagination, but grounded in groove, craftsmanship, and intention. It’s a symbol that naturally extends the Up The Stuss identity; pointing skyward, embracing openness, and encouraging curiosity.

“This album has been a long time in the making, and I’m excited to finally share it with you. The process behind it - exchanging ideas with other artists and creating music outside of my comfort zone - has been an incredible experience. It gave me a true sense of freedom, allowing me to not think about boundaries or expectations. I’ve never been more proud of a project than this one. It’s deeply personal, and it represents my sound as a whole. I hope you listen with an open mind and find something in it that resonates with you.” - Chris Stussy.

The ‘Lost’ chapter opens the album by giving new life to music once left behind. These are tracks written across different moments in Chris’s journey, ideas that never quite found a home until now. Rather than relics of the past, they emerge re-discovered, refined, and fully realised. ‘

Found’ represents inspiration in motion. Sparked by collaboration, digging, and shared creative exchange, this chapter captures the moment when ideas connect, and colour floods the sky.

The album closes with ‘Forgotten’ - a nod to the deeper cuts, the B-sides, and the moments that reward patience. This chapter is for the heads and diggers; tracks that may not demand immediate attention but reveal their value over time.

Light in the Attic is honored to announce the long-awaited reissue of Synthesizing: Ten Ragas to a Disco Beat, the revolutionary 1982 album from composer and musician Charanjit Singh. Pairing Indian classical ragas with then-state-of-the-art Roland synthesizers and drum machines, Singh created an electronic masterpiece that was far ahead of its time.

Recording live at Mumbai’s HMV studios, Singh married the past to the future—blending the ancient Indian tradition of ragas (a melodic framework, similar to a scale, from which musicians can improvise or compose) with pulsating, electronic dance beats. Released without fanfare, it faded into obscurity and Singh retired from recording to focus on private concerts, but that’s where the story begins…

Released in cooperation with Singh’s estate, Synthesizing: Ten Ragas to a Disco Beat arrives on June 26th. The 10-track album was remastered by Johanz Westerman at Ballyhoo Studio Mastering and stretched across 2-LPs for the highest quality listening experience. The vinyl was pressed at Optimal Media and housed in a gatefold jacket that replicates the original artwork.

An accompanying 16-page LP booklet features previously-unreleased photos and two new essays: the first from Arshia Fatima Haq and Jeremy Loudenback of Discostan—a multimedia collective and record label focusing on music from South West Asia and North Africa—while the other comes from filmmaker and writer Rana Ghose of event and film production entity REProduce Artists, who managed Singh in his final years and documented his triumphant return to the stage. Additionally, fans can find a limited-edition pressing of Synthesizing: Ten Ragas to a Disco Beat on ‘Pearlescent Transcendent Future’ Color Wax, while the album will also be reissued on CD with a 32-page booklet containing all of the above.

More on Synthesizing: Ten Ragas to a Disco Beat:

Indian multi-instrumentalist and composer Charanjit Singh (1940–2015) never intended to be an electronic dance music pioneer when he recorded 1982’s Synthesizing: Ten Ragas to a Disco Beat. Yet three decades later, his inventive use of state-of-the-art synthesizers and drum machines would prompt some to crown him the “Godfather of Acid House.” The real story, however, runs much deeper.

A native of Mumbai, Singh spent much of his career as a Bollywood session musician, collaborating with renowned composers like RD Burman and Shankar–Jaikishan, and appearing on some of the most iconic Hindi film hits of the ‘60s and ‘70s. Outside of the film industry, Singh recorded several of his own albums and toured the world alongside the era’s biggest stars—an opportunity which allowed him to collect new instruments, including synthesizers and other electronic devices. As psychedelia and disco wove their way into Bollywood scores, Singh was at the forefront, integrating a host of electronic textures into his work (his hypnotic Transicord introduction on “Dum Maro Dum” from 1971’s Hare Rama Hare Krishna is among his most recognizable performances).

By the turn of the ‘80s, however, Singh was disenchanted by the creative limitations of session work and embarked on a solo career. Not long after, on tour in Singapore, he discovered three Roland devices that had just hit the market: the TR-808 drum machine (released 1980), the TB-303 bass synthesizer (released 1981), and the Jupiter 8 synthesizer (released 1981). While this trio would fuel early electronic dance music in the coming years, Singh was among the first known artists to pair them on record when he was inspired to create his next album, Synthesizing: Ten Ragas to a Disco Beat.

Using only the three devices and recording live at Mumbai’s HMV studios, Singh married the past to the future—blending the ancient Indian tradition of ragas (a melodic framework, similar to a scale, from which musicians can improvise or compose) with pulsating, electronic dance beats, while programming the TB-303 to follow classical Hindustani scales. From the hypnotic drones of “Raga Bhairavi” to the uplifting jams of “Raga Bairagi” the album proved perhaps to be a bit too visionary for its time. Released without fanfare, it faded into obscurity and Singh retired from recording to focus on private concerts.

Two decades later, Dutch DJ and record collector Edo Bouman was in New Delhi when he came across an old copy of Ten Ragas. Bouman was astounded by what he heard—electronic music that had all the hallmarks of acid house, recorded five years before Chicago DJs coined the term. Bouman spent the next few years tracking down Singh and, in 2010, reissued the album on his label, Bombay Connection.

Soon, Ten Ragas became a viral sensation, sparking disbelief and debates about the origins of acid house. But, as Haq and Loudenback explain, those in the conversation “Had little frame of reference for [Singh’s] music outside of the parameters of western club music.” Viewed through the lens of the Hindi film industry, they argue, the album’s through-line comes into focus. In the ‘60s, when Western artists were looking to India for inspiration, Bollywood was “A laboratory for discovering sounds, and for harnessing every new technology that could be found or repurposed…. Singh’s album is more fittingly placed within the framework of the expansion of Bollywood’s experiments in disco, rather than that of acid house.”

“Perhaps this is yet another example of how a public engages with those who are ahead of their time,” adds Rana Ghose. “This record is a direct consequence of a centuries-old classical music form, rendered through the lens of a visionary who used the vanguard of technology at the time to recast it, resulting in an artefact that, almost 40 years later, is finding entirely new audiences in an era marked by a changing and uncertain global landscape of soft-power assertion. Considering this reassessment is as exciting as it is fascinating. Much like this record.”

While Ten Ragas sparked plenty of conversations within the electronic music community, it also gave a bemused Singh a surge of newfound fame during the final years of his life, allowing him to play with his live collaborator Johanz Westerman (Thee J Johanz) to thousands of fans at packed club shows and festivals in Europe, the U.S., and India. Among those fans are Australian duo Glass Beams (who covered “Raga Bhairav”), German electronic duo Modeselektor, and Thom Yorke, who ranked “Raga Lalit” as one of his “6 Tracks You Need to Hear” via the BBC.

Most importantly, however, Ten Ragas resonated deeply with South Asian artists, who saw electronic music from India being recognized with new reverence. In the words of Vish Matre (of the UK DJ duo Dar Disku), “This record will be remembered for, not being the predecessor to another genre, but being a precursor to a lot of new music from the diaspora that relied on it as inspiration.”

Bob the Landlord became known in Rotterdam after appearing in Roy Dames's legendary documentary about the harbor cafe Willems Kantine. He was a loud and direct landlord who rented small rooms to people around the area. Bob was famous for his strong Rotterdam attitude and the way he spoke to people without filtering his words.

One of the most famous moments was when Cowboy Jos asked him for five euros. Bob angrily replied, "Five euros? On your face!" This line later became a well-known quote in Rotterdam.

Even though he could be rough and strict, Bob became a memorable character and a small cult figure in the city.

The 12-inch release “Heavy Duty” by Ferrari (FAITHBEAT-14), issued on Faith Beat, brings together four original cuts presented as a vinyl EP intended for DJ use and club rotation. The release carries the catalog number FAITHBEAT-14 and was listed by retailers as a pre-order with a June 2026 release date.

Musically, Ferrari moves between classic US house and contemporary club textures: distinctive basslines, late-arriving vocal snippets, and stripped-back, effect-driven arrangements define the sound. The tracks rely on driving, loop-based drum patterns and pinpointed lead sounds that work both in peak-time sets and in downtempo passages. This approach is in line with the artistic direction Faith Beat has pursued on earlier installments.

The vinyl features the titles “Worksense” (A1), “Heavy Duty” (A2), “Crazy Luv” (B1), and “Treno Diurno” (B2). All tracks are listed as original mixes and are tied together by Ferrari’s consistent production craftsmanship; the compositional signature remains clearly recognizable. For DJs, the selection offers both dancefloor-oriented openers and extended, groove-based sections.

As FAITHBEAT-14, “Heavy Duty” represents another entry in Faith Beat’s catalog, specifically aimed at club use and collectors. With this 12-inch release, Ferrari stays true to a house-focused approach and delivers material that slots seamlessly into DJ sets.

As the immediate follow-up release to Four Tet’s 12" “Human Voice,” this edition appears on Text and has been pressed in a very small run; initial dealer lists and pre-orders suggest that it will be in short supply.

Musically, the work continues Hebden’s characteristic balance between understated melodicism and finely detailed electronics: layer-by-layer arranged samples, fragmentary percussion and intimate textures shape the pieces. Several of the compositions collected here have already been available in other forms — some as contributions to the Four Tet album “Parallel,” others as individual releases or uploads on SoundCloud — so the LP builds a bridge between previously released material and its new contextualization.

The project appears under the unusual name ⣎⡇ꉺლ༽இ•̛)ྀ◞ ༎ຶ ༽ৣৢ؞ৢ؞ؖ ꉺლ, with Hebden here continuing his wide-ranging working methods and practice of using aliases. Anyone familiar with Four Tet knows his penchant for experimental release formats: the producer repeatedly uses pseudonyms and blurs the lines between official records, limited singles and digital one-off releases, which places this undertaking firmly in the tradition of his other releases on Text.

Well. Where do we start with 'Deep Inside'? Originally released in the golden NYC House era of 1993, this 5 tracker literally smashed everything in sight. And still does now! The epitome of an evergreen, all-time classic release. Masters At Work Louie Vega and Kenny Dope were on a major roll in this era, producing, remixing, dj-ing and everything in-between, these guys put in ridiculous work. They are joined on this EP by a roll-call of names and collaborators, Erick Morillo engineering the title track? Check. Maurice Joshua on co-production duties? You got it. Vocals by Ms. Barbara tucker? They're there. Killer, rock hard drums? Stacks of Soul? Masterfully chopped up Disco samples? All present. Serious stuff. Sometimes a record just manages to capture and distill the true essence of what this is all about and 'Deep Inside' is one such record, it bears all the hallmarks of golden era MAW, all the signposts of what was happening in NYC's clubs in the early to mid 90's were there within it's grooves. You know a record is good when it's still being, quite literally, hammered nearly 25 years later! Now, remastered, and reissued with the full involvement of Strictly Rhythm this seminal piece of NYC House history is made available again with all original, full sleeve artwork intact as per the 1993 original. This one's a straight up essential for any self-respecting dance aficionado. You know what to do!

2026 Repress in generic white sleeve! It's been quite a wait for new &ME material here on Keinemusik. But these two new cuts, adding to our catalogue number Km046, sure have been worth waiting for. The EP starts with „The Rapture Pt.II“ and as the title already suggests, it coherently takes up where his last original material had left us, in a stirred state of sweet, harmony-kissed affection. Known as a virtuoso of sound-details, &ME lives up to that reputation, implementing fine synth-elements and temperately rattling percussions, all conjoined by shimmering layers and, of course, an ultimately heart-melting Piano improvisation that at some point will play along to the rhythm of its synthetic brother to a finale that will leave no crowd untouched. "Solaris" on the flipside adds indeed a futuristic note to the arrangement, opening up with a broken beat and propelling claps. A cut that, as much as its predecessor, is relying on flow and organic shifts rather than forced and peaktime formatted gimmickry, adding a synth arpeggio, white noise, vocal chants and harmonies in a rather subtle way. Nevertheless, it unfolds a compelling strength to heat the dancefloor gradually through its playtime.

Some 30 years after they first met in the DJ booth of Tokyo’s Spacelab Yellow nightclub, close friends François Kevorkian and Dimitri From Paris have finally joined forces in the studio. The result is The Nassau Excursion, a dazzlingly good three-track EP inspired by their joint love of disco and boogie-era dance records made at Island Records’ Compass Point Studio in the Bahamas.

Across three essential tracks, François and Dimitri explore and celebrate this distinctive Caribbean post-disco sound – one where weighty basslines and heavy drum machine beats rub shoulders with early ‘80s synths, dub-style production, heady hand percussion patterns and arrangements drenched in space echo and tape delay.

Tunl03 comes from a friend who has played a special role in the story of tunnel. Dockett Eddy, based in Leeds, United Kingdom, has been curating Turnend Tapes for several years with taste, exigence, and a genuine underground approach. Like moths in the dark, we met Beau on a winter night in Berlin. Dazzled by the light we were craving for, fooled in a world of dreams and illusions, our paths naturally crossed and bounded. The encounter happened at a pivotal moment for our label, towards the start of the journey. Since then, Beau has continually collaborated with us to create our graphic identity, giving shape to everything you see. Now and then, he also sent us some music… Eerie and austere at first, yet revealing a strange beauty when listened to closely, his sound was steeped in darkness, melancholy, and a quiet tension. Four of these pieces surface here, pressed into the third tunnel record, ‘Mothlight’.

A label compilation can be the first sign of a new cycle. After years shaped by individual trajectories, it brings the focus back to what made scenes powerful in the first place: shared language, mutual influence and a sense of collective movement. For a label built on deep rhythm, organic textures and emotional drive, this carries an even stronger meaning. These musical spaces hold connection, memory and exchange at their core.

In this light, a compilation becomes more than a format: it becomes a statement of identity, a meeting point where different voices contribute to one evolving vision. “MoBlack presents: Melodic Nights” marks the start of this new MoBlack path guided by careful curation and artistic exchange, blending percussive depth with a more melodic approach.

The result is a four-track selection navigating different shades of introspection and release, held together by a strong and recognizable sonic character. Klement Bonelli – “It’s My Life” sets the tone with a bold, emotionally charged cut that balances melodic lift with a club-focused pulse. it’s jud, MR.FULLTIM€ – “Jackfruit” adds a distinctive twist to the journey, playful in texture yet precise in its impulse, widening the palette with character and movement. Jay’ (ch) – “Our Fire” leans into atmosphere and intensity, building momentum through evocative harmonies and a steady emotional current. Max Zotti, Blaxx – “Release Your Pain” closes the collection with a cathartic, rhythm-led energy, delivering what feels both intimate and dancefloor-ready. More than a one-off release, “Melodic Nights” introduces a collection designed to highlight converging sensibilities, where each track stands on its own while contributing to a wider narrative.

Revered selector Moodymann remixes ‘Take Me As I Am’ by Detroit artists Dames Brown, from their 2026 Defected LP of the same name. First distributed as a super-exclusive dubplate at Amsterdam Dance Event in late 2025, this avant-garde remix showcases a master at work, transforming the soulful feel of ‘Take Me As I Am’ into a provocative, groove-laden sonic experience for heads in the know.

Kicking off 2026 with a bang, Dames Brown’s hotly anticipated full-length LP ‘Take Me As I Am’, presented by Amp Fiddler, paid homage to the late Detroit pioneer while re-introducing the vocal-house trio to the world. Across 14 tracks, the Dames weaved together their disco, R&B and house influences and collaborated with Eddie Fowlkes, Andrés, Waajeed and Amp Fiddler himself.

The critically acclaimed LP was recognised by DJ Mag, Mixmag and Billboard, with the latter noting the project is “dripping with all the soul, style, funk and feeling that you might expect from the powerhouse Detroit trio.” Title track ‘Take Me As I Am’ represented the album’s elevated house sound in full, and now this fresh re-arrangement by fellow Detroiter Moodymann has arrived.

Some tracks don’t need fixing. They just need a bit more room. South African composer and keyboard wizard Don Laka has been quietly sitting in DJ bags for years, especially with people who like their synth music warm, slightly
mysterious, and impossible to date properly. Somewhere between jazz funk, township pulse and studio electronics, but really just its own thing.
Stages was an obvious candidate for extension. Prins Thomas what he does best here: opens the arrangement, lets the synth lines breathe, stretches the groove until it starts floating a little higher off the ground. Nothing forced, nothing added for
the sake of it. Just more of a very good thing. I Wanna Be Myself gets a gentle nudge from Gerd Janson. The idea was simple: keep the personality, and give DJs a version that lands naturally in a modern set without losing the original charm. It’s still the same track, just standing a bit straighter.
And because the source matters, the original version of “Stages” is here as well. Always good to remember where the magic started. Three versions, no drama. Just strong music that already knew what it was doing.

“Hidden World” by Idealist is released as a 12" on Mojuba and brings together four new tracks between deep house and dub house, combining clear references to classic house structures with dubby spatial design. The record features the cuts “Mountain Lake,” “Cycles,” “2156” and “Immersion,” which, in sequence, move from calm atmospheres into more danceable, bass-driven passages.

Idealist, a Swiss producer situated within dub-oriented strains of house, is known for precise, stripped-back arrangements; melodic elements unfold in long reverb spaces while the rhythms feel organic. The productions are all handled by Idealist himself, with mastering by Sven Weisemann, which gives the pressing additional balance and clarity. Stylistically defining are the subtle dub effects and the warm low end, making the sound suitable both for club use and home listening.

As a special feature, the release comes as a limited 12" edition with a hand-printed screen-printed cover, aimed at collectors and fans of high-quality vinyl releases. Key selling points are the limited edition, the collectible hand screen-printed sleeve, and the sound quality preserved on vinyl.

Tokapi Disco Team blends a warm, rounded kick with subtle percussion and a light shuffle that keeps the rhythm flowing effortlessly. A rolling, funk-inflected bassline locks in with Chic-inspired piano chords, while tasteful disco strings lift the arrangement throughout. Gwen’s unmistakable vocal remains the emotional centerpiece — rich, soulful and timeless.

The result is a seamless nu-disco and disco-house crossover that bridges classic soul heritage with contemporary club energy.

LP 2026 RECUT RE Edition

Third repress of Tour-Maubourg's debut album initially released in 2020!

Juno's review in 2020: Emerging out of the clouds of live and instrumental deep house, Tour-Maubourg first appeared on the scene with a debut record for Parisian label Pont Neuf Records before making connections with FHUO, Salin Records and Happiness Theory. Returning to Pont Neuf for the release of his debut album, Paradis Artificiels, the artist puts paid to the Trax article which once wrote of TM: ''one of the most promising producers of the French house scene''. Referencing a Baudelaire poem for its title, the album flexes between new age ambience, acid and Chicago house inspirations in tracks like "Le Vol. Du Corbeau" while diving deep into watery percussion, solo jazz brass and skittering drums in "Saint The A La Menthe". WIth stronger ties to functional deep house in "Diffraction Rythmique", there's a smokey haze of hip hop instrumentality and dub to be found in tracks like "Les Mots" too. A record that would be attractive to fans of SUED.

Especial is delighted to reprise the label’s relationship with Osaka’s acid master, Akio Nagase. Following his debut, Global Acid EP and follow up African Acid EP covered a range of influences, all with the heavy dose of Roland Tr-303, here he completes a trilogy of EPs, culminating in a homage to his love of dub reggae.

Having made reggae influenced dance music under the Makedub alias for decades, here he takes it a step further, utilising a knack for catchy hooks and acid lines, while fusing reggae and live desk-dub mixing.

I Love Smoke, a chant, the stand-out, those classic vocals flowing in and out with a 3AM (Eternal) bump. Riotously expounding the virtues of smoking ’Mari Jane’, the hypnotic stoner vibes are wrapped around Nagase’s meditative and dancefloor heartbeat.

Night Time High Acid swings, the low-end rumble and kick build before the Tr-303 and harmonica lead interweave, samples and sirens encase in an ethnic, tribal slo-mo dub flow.

Things shift with the 4/4 bump of Creation Dub. A call to rise wrapped in the warmth of Dub House beats. Melody and dub flow, no need for 303. Vox are space echo’d to the limit. Keys stab, horns call, slip side away.

To finish, Harmonica Dub is just that. Heavy mouth organ solo, the blues calling atop a dub-techno stepper beat. Rimshot, stabs, echo. All encompass that psychedelic flavour of Akio. Dub, Love and Respect. Thank you Mr Kikumoto for the acid, thank you Mr Nagase for beats

Sash! burst onto the scene in the mid-‘90s and quickly became a worldwide force in trance and Eurodance. With his signature mix of high-energy beats, infectious melodies, and multilingual vocals, Sash! lit up clubs and charts around the globe. It all started with “It’s My Life”, the underground anthem that laid the foundation. But it was 1997’s “Encore Une Fois” that changed everything, an explosive French-vocal trance classic that hit #2 in the UK and made Sash! a household name. The hits kept coming: “Ecuador” (feat. Rodriguez), “Stay” (feat La Trec), “La Primavera”, and “Mysterious Times” (feat. Tina Cousins), all Top 5 UK smashes that helped define a generation of dance music. By the late ’90s and early 2000s, Sash! was untouchable. From the reggae-infused “Colour the World” with Dr. Alban to the hard-hitting “Adelante”, the emotional “Just Around the Hill”, and a surprise collab with Boy George on “Run”, he proved again and again his sound could evolve while staying true to the rhythm. This cd is the only CD including Sash’s most recent hit “Rock My Body” (with R3hab & Inna) which did a quarter of a billion streams. With over 22 million records sold, Sash! remains one of the most iconic dance acts of all time. This 30th anniversary edition celebrates the legacy with only full-length and re-mastered extended mixes that brings the energy of the original era straight back today’s dancefloor.

The “B4u & Tripidi EP” by Joseph (CH), released on Pampa, brings together two complementary tracks whose production and song structure clearly stem from a single underlying concept. On the A-side, “B4U” (8:00) appears as a spacious yet tightly sculpted track; its composition combines dramatic soundscapes with restrained, otherworldly voices. The B-side presents “Tripidi” (7:28), built around buoyant, booty-shaking grooves and a distinctively coded bassline typically associated with JOSEPH.

All tracks were written and produced by Joseph Blandford; mastering was handled by Hans Frage at Deinklang, giving the pressing a clearly defined tonal balance. The arrangements rely on a play between narrative, almost cinematic passages and dance-oriented elements, which makes the EP suited both to DJ sets and to focused listening.

Stylistically, Joseph (CH) stands out through a blend of narrative density and danceable directness: concise bass motifs, subtle melodic details, and a finely tuned sense of groove define his signature. The “B4u & Tripidi EP” thus positions itself as a compact statement within the Pampa catalog and documents the unmistakable touch of a producer who fuses club-oriented energy with meticulous atmospheric detail.

Shortinfo:
Arguably one of Get Physical’s most influential tracks, ‘O Superman’ sees a new release with remixes
from Man Power and SIS alongside the 2008 version from Robag Whrume and a remaster of the now
classic original.

Man Power kicks off the new interpretations with an epic, ten and half minute version that patiently
stretches the original’s melodies into pads and held bass tones across crisp, micro-house styled beats
before unleashing loose, clattering breakbeats after a striking, extended breakdown.
SIS’s dreamy, percussive version sees the German producer in hypnotic, and tracky form, focussing
on the ebb and flow of the original’s tuneful vocoder and synth work that drift across his perfect
groove.

Robag’s Pumper-Nikkel remix, for those that missed it some years back, is yet another funky,
chopped, sliced and diced piece of work from the playful producer and still sounds as fresh as ever.
M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade feat. Laurie Anderson - O Superman Remixes are released on Get
Physical 12” in late July with a digital release following in the Autumn.

released in celebration of y-3’s 10th anniversary in 2013, this compilation included joe claussell’s masterpiece of psychedelic deep house, which is finally being issued on 12-inch vinyl.

joe claussell’s “storm,” still played today by djs such as dixon, remains one of his most distinctive works. among his productions, it can be regarded as his finest achievement—his most trippy and psychedelic track, with exceptional impact on the dance floor.

the newwave project remix by his longtime ally kuniyuki preserves the atmosphere of the original while adding organic sounds such as marimba, drawing the track into deeper territory and resulting in a spiritual deep house reinterpretation.

“Macareno” by U-Bend appears as a one-off, single-sided 12" on their own U-Bend label and marks the sixth release on the Benders imprint. The Bend brothers have unearthed a long-forgotten track and carefully reimagined it; the original has been turned into their own version that combines familiar melodies with fresh edits. Renewal meets respect for the source material.

On the vinyl you’ll find a focused remix clearly intended for club use: driving beats, pointed breaks, and a love of arrangement that turns the track into something capable of clearing the dance floor. At the same time, the production remains mischievous and ironic, so the rendition oscillates between nostalgia and a contemporary approach. Not everyone will agree — the label itself describes the record as polarizing, a classic Marmite release.

The single is conceived as a special edition, aimed at DJs and collectors looking for an unusual, striking track for their sets. The accompanying notes explicitly advise caution when playing it out; it’s precisely this mix of surprise factor and targeted club readiness that makes “Macareno” an idiosyncratic statement from U-Bend on the Benders imprint. U-Bend once again shows a knack for curious finds and their clever reworking.

The original Winx mix is a classic, often imitated, never bettered, but the real gem here is Richie Hawtin's manic, almost borderline sinister 15+ minute reworking.
Monster doesn't do it justice, tweaked out, narcotic, minimalist jacking gear. A dope combination of severe LOW end and some bracing sine waves that cut straight through. This one will surely test any club sound-system, if the venue is built for it you will know! This is one for the real heads, pure late night business oft overlooked for the more famous A-side, but trust us - Hawtin's mix will smash any dance! Oh, and there's an insane laughing acappella for those who want to mix and blend! Reissued, remastered and re-sorted for 2017 by Above Board Records with the full involvement of Nervous Records NYC.
