The "Tokyohum" double LP by DJ Krush was released on DJ Krush. Rooted in Tokyo’s urban pulse, the record brings together ten tracks in which rhythmic precision and atmospheric density go hand in hand; the album follows a clear concept centered on city sounds and rhythmic fragmentation.

Musically, DJ Krush further develops his tried-and-tested foundation of instrumental hip-hop and electronic manipulation: stripped-down beats, sparse melodic fragments and expansive soundscapes create space for punchlines in the arrangements. Guest appearances by Riko Dan, MC Yallah and ELIM provide carefully placed accents and open up individual tracks to vocal contrasts without dominating the overall concept. The release links the conceptual motif of “the city as pulse” with a precisely arranged sonic cosmos that shifts between stripped‑down beats and expansive, atmospheric textures.

Musically, DJ Krush builds on his familiar foundation of instrumental hip hop, downbeat passages ranging from mellow to propulsive, and subtly deployed field recordings; at the same time, guest contributions open the tracks up to a variety of vocal nuances. Notable are the appearances by Riko Dan, MC Yallah, and ELIM, whose contrasting voices animate the arrangements without overshadowing the instrumental focus of the compositions. Psicohiphopatas came out of the Barcelona scene and operated within the 2P69 collective; the project was founded by MCs Ose, Ratuflo and Krazy, while Kapi, as DJ, producer and graffiti pioneer, handled the main production. The circle was rounded out by graffiti artists Ceyo and Raze. Released as a stand‑alone edition, the demo remained their only release, as the group broke up the following year; over time, the tape turned into a cult classic within the Spanish rap underground.

Musically, the work stands out for its uncompromising commitment to original hip‑hop aesthetics and its critical engagement with the media’s co‑optation of urban culture. The tracks, including “El Mismo Consumismo” featuring a young Kase.O, were recorded at “Casa Kapi” in Barcelona and preserve the raw demo character: stripped‑down beats, incisive rhymes, and clear statements against commercial currents. The double LP gathers this early, documentary‑level valuable phase and situates it within the context of national rap history.
