Double-sided dancefloor-oriented 7" blending Afro-funk, electronic funk, cinematic groove and Brazilian-inspired Latin electronics. Inspired by Manu Dibango and Afro-Latin rhythms with futuristic jazz influences.

The 12" "Vamos Y Energia!" by Whodamanny, released on Biloba, combines the danceable elements Raffaele Arcella is known for with a clear nod to Latin‑inflected Italo‑disco aesthetics. Whodamanny operates here as a composer and producer, tying together traditional synth arrangements with vocal hooks and making deliberate use of vinyl as a medium for grooving, club‑ready arrangements.

The two tracks "Vamos" and "Energia" continue this approach in concise form: melodic synthesizers, punchy basslines, and warm strands of guitar provide the framework, while multi‑part vocals carry the sung sections. On the record, R. Arcella is credited as the author; vocals are contributed by Manny, Clarita, and M.D.N., Igor Sekulovic supplies the guitar parts, and the tracks were recorded and mixed at Biloba Studio. The publishing credit goes to "Ed. Musicali Beat Machine." This line‑up creates an organic contrast between the electronic foundation and the live‑played elements.

What sets Whodamanny apart is the subtle balance between retro references and contemporary production: catchy choruses meet rhythmic variations geared both toward the dance floor and radio‑friendly moments. The second installment of Uzuri’s “The Wilderness Sessions” delivers 3 tracks geared towards the refined dancers and listeners of the world. The idea here is slow burning broken beat tracks infused with the soul of jazz and funk. The EP opens with Fox ‘N Hound, a slightly menacing and equally sexy jam which ebbs and flows with a delightfully funky bass line and enough melodic accents to keep full attention. The secret here is in the details which are craft-fully manipulated by this talented duo. Futonjam continues the trend of beautifully unfolding composition with its shuffled percussion and gracefully evolving melodies. A perfect track for home listening and for those deep sultry moments on the dance floor. The crown jewel of this release is certainly the near 9 minute odyssey that is Zukunft/ Silber. A track which entertains and pushes towards a sophisticated style which is undeniably unique in approach. Using broken patterns as a back drop for beautifully orchestrated strings, micro flutes and longing horns it transforms from a sweet and delicate sound to something more demanding of our bodies movement. This release will be sure to mark the beginning of what we can expect from these two producers who clearly aim to set themselves apart from the crowd.

Local jazz scenes keep evolving into new interesting variations, and this album by Copenhagen collective Jiyu, is no exception. A dusty brass opening, old as the sun, followed by a guitar/flute theme, driven by a lazy boom-clack beat, quickly outlines this hybrid-jazz sound, blown in from the future. Love In A Black Dimension was Jestofunk first album originally released in 1994 and Is still their most successful album ever.
After the excellent worldwide results achieved by the first two singles, I'm Gonna Love You' and 'Say It Again' the formidable production team (Claudio Moz-Art Rispoli, Alessandro 'Blade' Staderini and Francesco Farias) decided to produce their first
full Album and thinking about a great singer that could feature and give voice to their songs decided to get in touch with one of the most important House Music vocalist of that period, Mr CeCe Rogers.
The Single that was first released to launch the album was 'Can We Live', sung by Cece, and immediately became a hit in all the clubs around the world and at the same time establish itself as a classic of the genre.
Jestofunk moved in directions unprecedentedly experimented, styles like the fusion between Funk And House Music, contaminated with Acid Jazz, a genre that was going very strong during those in years.
Acid Jazz became very Popular, thanks to artists such as Incognito and Jamiroquai.

After the excellent response to the first volume, Acid Jazz Classics returns with the second volume. The Acid Jazz sound born in the 1990s, which harked back to the Soul Funk of the 1970s, found in Irma one of the labels most dedicated to this world, and still releases music that can be categorized under this name. From songs from the 1990s with artists like Jestofunk, Bossa Nostra, Black & Brown, Gazzara, Italian Secret Service, LTJ Xperience, Sarah Jane Morris, to the present day with artists like The Smoke Orchestra, Yuts and Culture, Fusion Funk Foundation, Micky More & Andy Tee, Belladonna, and many others. 19 tracks on a double vinyl, some of them never before released on vinyl, all rigorously perfect for both the club and listening. Released on BMM Records, the 7" *Biscuits* by The Natural Yogurt Band gathers twenty short-form miniatures that use their brevity and concision to pursue an unusual approach to library aesthetics. The tracks are tightly structured and offer a dense succession of motifs, brief breaks, and striking melodic fragments, so that despite the format the record leaves a surprisingly versatile impression.

The Natural Yogurt Band is the project of composer and multi-instrumentalist Miles Newbold, who here connects the lines of tradition running through neo-library, psychedelic jazz, and fusion. Newbold’s signature comes through in staggered rhythmic figures, elegant horn arrangements, and ornamental, sometimes quirky sonic details; the songwriting remains deliberately short and to the point, allowing each cut to develop its own instantly recognizable mood.

Musically, *Biscuits* is defined by its sample-friendly nature and its focus on rhythmic micro-moments: many tracks come in well under a minute and work as small building blocks for DJs and producers just as much as they do as bite-sized listens for the audience. The material was written by Miles Newbold; the artwork is by Maël Gilabert. *Biscuits* slots confidently into the project’s carefully considered discography and once again showcases Newbold’s feel for surprising, compositionally dense miniatures.

Monaqee are multi instrumentalist and pianist Bencze Molnar and producer Jules Hiero. Vanis is a bassist based in Budapest and member of the jazz fusion group Jazzbois. Robo Wars blends jazztronica, hip hop and lo-fi beats into an analogue experience driven by electric bass, drum machines and synthesizers including Prophet, Juno, Moog and UDO. In June 2025 Jazzbois performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival in Canada. The boys were approached by Rémi Hermoso to record a live session video in front of a small audience in Studio Fast Forward. The session was planned for 4 hours to have time to record with a small live audience, but Jazzbois went in and played 5 songs in only one take without any pause and were done with the material. They handled this recording session like all of them, do one take and be done with it. This way they can get the essence of the moment and not have to worry about making a mistake and starting over. All of these are part of the song, it's honest and raw as it was born right in the moment.

Heralded by the “Soul Drum” 12” EP (scep507, 2022), Gerardo Frisina’s new double record “Joyful Sound” represents another step forward on his ongoing travel towards new musical paths. Joyful sounds narrate a journey made of wisely distilled notes, bright and sometimes mysterious atmospheres, harmonies that wander through shadows, silences, and lights. A chameleonic Gerardo enchants with every release, mixing jazz, Latin, Afro-Cuban sounds, oriental fragrances, electronic beats, tribal percussions, funky variations and, to summarize, elegant symphonic arrangements with refined mastery. “Joyful Sound” once again sees the participation of the late Enzo Frassi (double bass), Fabrizio Bernasconi (piano, Rhodes), Gendrickson Mena (trumpet, piano), Alfonso Deidda (sax, flute) and Ernesto Lopez (drums, percussion), with the addition of Piero Perelli on drums and Giovanni Guerretti on piano, Hammond and Rhodes.
