Smith’s unmistakable spoken-word delivery meets a changing lineup featuring Martin Bramah, Una Baines, Karl Burns, Marc Riley, Craig Scanlon, and Stephen Hanley.

In particular, “Repetition,” “Psycho Mafia,” and “Rowche Rumble” convey the early tension between raw directness and stubborn individuality. “Fiery Jack” was produced by Mayo Thompson and marks another important step in the development of the band’s sound. The Superior Viaduct edition also includes liner notes by Stephen Malkmus, which add historical context to these early recordings by The Fall. “ The Mark” by Bed Maker is being released on Dischord as a two-song release featuring two new tracks. The title track and “What Boy Where” show the Washington, D.C. band in a focused, uncompromising form that, according to the description, reflects both their work in the studio and their dynamics onstage.

Bed Maker consists of Amanda MacKaye on vocals, Arthur Noll on bass, Jeff Barsky on guitar, and Vin Novara on drums. The band formed in 2019, played its first concert in February 2020, and resumed live activities in November 2022. Noll and Novara had previously been active with Light Beams, Kid Congo Powers, The Crownhate Ruin, and the 1.6 Band, among others, while Barsky played with Insect Factory and Time Is Fire.

The recordings for “The Mark” were made at Tonal Park in October 2025. Ian MacKaye and Don Godwin handled the recording and mixing, keeping the directness of the studio work closely connected to the sound of Washington, D.C.’s punk and hardcore scene. The artwork is by Luna Novara, with the layout by Jason Farrell. Following the self-titled 2024 album, “The Mark” marks Bed Maker’s next release on Dischord.

Veteran Ottawa, ON pop-punkers The Riptides are excited to announce the re-issue of their fan-favorite album Tales From Planet Earth, the first entry from the band's back catalog to be re-issued by Pirates Press Records.

After a successful collaboration with the label on their latest LP Burn After Listening earlier this year, the band can't wait to bring Tales From Planet Earth - originally released in 2009 on Asian Man Records - back into the spotlight for fans old and new to (re-)discover!

Bassist & songwriter Bob Goblin states that this album "marked a key moment in The Riptides' sound—leaning hard into more power-pop melodies and songwriting, all without losing the Ramones, Screeching Weasel, and Queers-type influence that's always been at the band's core."

The album was recorded at Lafayette, IN's legendary Sonic Iguana Studios with sought-after producer Mass Giorgini (Suzi Moon, Squirtgun, Common Rider) at the helm and Phil Hill (Teen Idols) engineering. "We look back on those sessions as probably the most fun we've ever had making a record... we were surrounded by a community that made the experience unforgettable." Along with a number of friends and collaborators, the album features drumming by Dan Lumley (Common Rider, Screeching Weasel, Squirtgun), who brought great energy to the sessions. For this re-issue, Giogini has re-mixed, re-mastered, and re-energized the album!

For many in the band's fanbase, Tales from Planet Earth is the definitive Riptides record. It has all the elements fans look for from the band: hooks, harmonies, and plenty of nerdy sci-fi & spy-themed references. Tracks like "Hung Up" and "Omega Man" have endured as fan-favorites since the album's release. There's even a Christmas song!

"Omega Man" is the band's campy take on the 1971 Charlton Heston-starring film adaptation of Richard Matheson's I Am Legend. "Out of all our songs, I think we received the most direct messages from fans about this one," laughs Bob. The “Fall In A Hole” double LP by The Fall is being released on Superior Viaduct and captures a particularly distinctive live moment from the British post-punk band. The concert was recorded in August 1982 at the Mainstreet Cabaret in Auckland, during the final night of their Australian and New Zealand tour. At the time, the band was in an incredibly dynamic phase between “Hex Enduction Hour” and “Room To Live.”

Chris Knox recorded the performance and also created the characteristic artwork. The lineup features Mark E. Smith, Marc Riley, Craig Scanlon, Stephen Hanley, and drummers Paul Hanley and Karl Burns. The twin-drum setup in particular gives the songs an angular, driving force. Alongside well-known numbers such as “Hip Priest,” “Prole Art Threat,” and “The Classical,” “Fall In A Hole” also includes extended live versions of “Fantastic Life,” “Backdrop,” and “Solicitor In Studio.”

The recording captures The Fall during an especially unpredictable period as a live band: raw, tension-filled, and marked by long, feedback-heavy passages. Drawing on classic Motown, ’60s garage rock, ’70s punk, and early heavy metal, Burning Floor distills the explosive immediacy of The Schizophonics’ infamous live shows into a collection of songs that never sit still.

“This album has been a whirlwind,” says Lety Beers. “It wraps up everything we’ve surrendered ourselves to over the past few years. It’s a purge of all the experiences and adventures in rock form.”

Hailing from Portland, OR and once described by legendary underground artist Lydia Lunch as “harsh, hard...catchy, weird, arty” and “a very unique blend that defies category,” Nasalrod is a collaborative vision of punk rock chaos. In their years together, Nasalrod has built a reputation for its notoriously frantic live performances and an unapologetically unhinged approach. "Friends" features a version of Fear's “What Are Friends For?”, originally written by Spit Stix! The reworked rendition here finally brings Spit's intended vision to life. Paired with the melodic intensity of “Behind Friendly Faces”, the two tracks offer contrasting perspectives on friendship, delivered with Nasalrod's signature blend of theatrical energy, twisted humor, precise musicianship, and explosive intensity. The Yellow w/ Black Splatter vinyl edition of the “A Life Less Plagued” LP by Carry On was released on Bridge Nine. Bridge Nine first issued the album on October 16, 2001; it was the label’s first full-length LP and had a lasting impact on the California hardcore scene. The LP includes twelve tracks, among them “The View,” “Waiting On Forever,” and the title track “A Life Less Plagued,” condensing its dense arrangements into just under 18 minutes. This pressing preserves the raw energy, fast tempos, and distinctive guitar riffs that define the album.

The release was originally planned with a gatefold sleeve designed by Jacob Bannon; for cost reasons, however, the first pressing came in a standard sleeve, while a 2011 repress reintroduced the gatefold. A very limited initial run featured hand-illustrated shrink-wraps by illustrator Linas Garsys. Several band members later went on to form bands such as Terror, Piece By Piece, Betrayed, and Internal Affairs, giving the album a direct link to later West Coast projects. This colored vinyl edition underscores the historical character of the album without making any changes to the music. As a compact, focused statement from the early 2000s, “A Life Less Plagued” documents both the band itself and the fertile ground from which later hardcore projects emerged.

Russ Rankin is a singer, songwriter, columnist, poet, and screenwriter from Santa Cruz, CA. He is best known as the vocalist for seminal hardcore punk band Good Riddance, as well as the vocalist for Only Crime. “I had written these songs that maybe didn’t suit Good Riddance, and then there were these cover songs I kept finding myself drawn to, so I decided to record all of it. Adam Gomez (currently of THE Dickies) took care of the drumming, while I played all the other instruments and did the vocals,” explains Rankin. A Season In Hell consists of three new, original songs alongside three covers. It follows Rankin’s 2022 full-length, Come Together Fall Apart, this time leaning into a heavier hardcore direction. The EP reconnects Rankin with the style that first established him, while offering his own take on a handful of classics by THE Records, Avengers, and Leon Rosselson.

THE Nerve Agents were born from the late-’90s, Bay Area Hardcore scene with vocalist Eric Ozenne, formerly of local stalwarts Unit Pride and Redemption 87, joining with Tim Presley and Andy Granelli of Model American. What resulted was a throwback sound to an era of hardcore punk not unlike early-YOUTH OF Today, Circle Jerks, 7 Seconds, and Agnostic Front, that still managed to showcase the members’ personalities and experiences, with art and lyrics reflecting on Ozenne’s time in the military with vivid references to the horrors of chemical weapons. With this eight-song EP as the catalyst, THE Nerve Agents steep trajectory in the West Coast hardcore and punk underground found them playing smaller, more formative shows and growing alongside bands like Tiger Army and THE Distillers (which Nerve Agents drummer Andy Granelli would join and play with from 2000 to present day). The EP was a perfect match for Revelation Records, who, in the late 1990s with THE Nerve Agents, IN MY Eyes, Where Fear AND Weapons Meet, and Better Than A Thousand, was finding a return to the fast hardcore sound that brought them to underground music fame ten years prior. This new pressing is the first vinyl pressing since 2014 and features a full-color obi strip plus an eight-page booklet with lyrics, and expanded artwork featuring flyers, and writings from both scene luminaries and casual fans of the band, showing THE Nerve Agents deep connection and reverence to all who they touched.

Satanic Threat’s “In To Hell” LP is released on Hells Headbangers and brings together the Cleveland, Ohio band’s abrasive hardcore punk on a full-length record. Satanic Threat combines high speed, aggressive riffs and a deliberately blasphemous approach into uncompromising hardcore hell-punk that is both direct and biting.

At the center are the eight tracks from the originally released 2008 “In To Hell” 7-inch, including “Guilty Of Hating Christ,” “Small God, Big Cross” and “I Ain’t Gotta Worship.” The band consisted of musicians with connections to Nunslaughter and Midnight, shaping the rough transition between Cleveland hardcore, punk and an extreme metal attitude.
