The LP "Waking Dreams 2" by Philanthrope is released on Beat Jazz International and continues the producer’s series of instrumental beats; the record gathers 16 short pieces and presents a compact, self-contained listening experience that, over just under 37 minutes, offers room for atmospheric arrangements. The release is part of the label’s catalog and came out in 2024.

Musically, "Waking Dreams 2" moves between instrumental hip-hop and a jazzy sample-based aesthetic: warm Rhodes motifs, stripped-down drum patterns, and expansive loops shape the structure of the tracks, while brief interludes organize the flow. Characteristic of Philanthrope is the combination of melodic sketches and beat-centered arrangements that leave space for the guest contributions; the album features Mono:Massive, Plusma, Wun Two, chromonicci, KazOnDaBeat, and Kupla.

The LP "Waking Dreams 2," released on Beat Jazz International, brings together Philanthrope’s focus on instrumentally driven beats and jazzy samples, extending the musical thread of its predecessor. The compositions move in the tension field between lo-fi and modern instrumental hip-hop; short, concise pieces alternate with longer moments of relaxed harmony, while the artwork complements the stripped-down, contemplative atmosphere.

Philanthrope is characterized by a warm, sample-based approach that combines jazz chords with tight drum patterns. On "Waking Dreams 2," guest producers and collaborators such as chromonicci, Kupla, Wun Two, Plusma, Mono:Massive, and KazOnDaBeat appear without diluting the cohesive signature sound of the main producer; all tracks were written by Philanthrope himself. The pieces are crafted with clear arrangements and place emphasis on melodic lines as well as subtle rhythmic accents.
