Funky beats and Brazilian Soul — stripped, enhanced and empowered for the dancefloor. Big punching beats, floating basslines and soulful vocals, arranged and re-edited to be the ideal DJ food for your set. The Boogie Bus crew has just started delivering gems and treasures with flavours from around the world. Digging deep, producing and DJing — they like it raw and refined. Freedom BUS on the A-side is a pure soulful message riding on a hypnotic groove all the way through. The groove gives the vocal its foundation, expressing what might be the most essential element of creativity: Freedom Bizarro BUS on the B-side is pure power, escalating through driving rhythms while soulful Brazilian vocals floating through the track. Brazilian Funk at its finest — retouched and re-edited for the needs of today’s DJs. Raw and refined. Made for the dancefloor. All aboard the Boogie Bus.

After the acclaimed Bar Mediterraneo, Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina return with People Of The Moon, expanding their sound into a space of creative freedom. The “People of the Moon” are not fictional, but a dimension within us all: a deeply personal yet universal force, an alternative mindset that emerges when freed from social constraints.

Under moonlight, the album explores anxieties and aspirations through groove and rhythm, expressed in Neapolitan, Arabic, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. It moves fluidly from Afro-Cuban influences in “Celavì” to Anatolian textures in “Ma Tu Che Bbuò”, blending highlife guitars with Nu Genea’s signature mandolins-new rhythms filtered through an Italian lens.

The first single “Sciallà” (2025) introduced this direction: dance as catharsis, not escape. The title track reflects a quiet resilience-persistent rather than triumphant. “Onenon”, featuring Tom Misch, channels Mediterranean brit-funk, while “Acelera”, with María José Llergo, evokes a flamenco-tinged pursuit of the unattainable.

“Puleza” recalls Nuova Napoli with driving energy and vintage synths, while “Shway Shway”, sung by Celinatique, captures the album’s orbital flow-measured, rich, and rhythmically complex, echoing afrobeat explorations with Tony Allen.

Melody remains central, as in “Carè”. Across ten tracks, falling, flying, and dancing merge in a suspended groove. Gabriel Prado’s “Ondas Do Mar” embodies this pull: a cyclical motion, like the tides—irresistible, transformative, and alive within us.

Berlin lo-fi crooner Der Assistent returns with "Ultramarin", a sun-faded suite of soft-focus pop, Balearic grooves and late-night yacht moods drifting between languages, moods and references – slightly surreal, and quietly melancholic. Following the tropical haze of its predecessor "Amnesie am Amazonas", his third album makes a slightly bigger splash: classic late-80s digital pianos, downbeat grooves and flashes of dub-reggae intertwine with subtle soprano and alto saxophone lines that drift between lounge melancholy and nocturnal jazz. Laid-back opening cut “Wenn der Scirocco weht” pays homage to Japanese lovers rock, while the dubby downbeat title track celebrates the color blue in French, English, Italian and German, echoing situationist slogans and painter Yves Klein’s idea of “the invisible becoming visible.” Lead single “Mann am Telefon” dives into hazy yacht-pop and lo-fi soul, gradually unfolding into an instrumental outro that recalls the early synth romanticism of Vangelis. Across the album, Der Assistent traces a playful tale of split personalities – with subtle nods to Fight Club and Blade Runner – culminating in the lush closing 80s R&B ballad “Total Confusion”.

Written, recorded, produced and mixed entirely by Der Assistent, Ultramarin also inaugurates his new imprint of the same name. Riyl: Fishmans, Eddie Chacon, The Zenmenn.

Countless Sade remixes out there, only one from Joaquin Joe Claussell. This single-sided 12” is pressed on orange vinyl and sees the Sacred Rhythm conjurer meditate on a sparse, languid heart-puller from 1988’s Stronger Than Pride, adding his signature full-blooded yet lithe percussion to create a moment of gorgeous dance floor reprieve.

The 12" “Make A Move On Me” by Joey Montenegro (Dave Lee), released on Groovin, brings together all the key versions of the track in a single edition: the long “Club Mix” (8:54) as well as the “Original Disco Mix” and the “Dubwize Re‑Organisation.” The release collects the different reworks on a physical format and appears under license from Z Records.

Musically, “Make A Move On Me” fuses classic disco aesthetics with contemporary house production; its characteristic features include prominent clav licks, rhythmic guitar, subtle piano passages, and a distinctly funky bass line, all topped off with powerful vocals. Dave Lee, who also works under various other aliases, has revisited the song several times over the course of his career and in 2023 delivered a deliberately disco‑oriented new version that transfers the song’s internal melodies into a stripped‑down, dancefloor‑focused arrangement.

Key contributors include Taka Boom on vocals and Michele Chiavarini on keys; the tracks are based on compositions by Dave Lee (with Yvonne Stevens) and originated in the orbit of Z Productions. The 12" edition thus documents both Dave Lee’s production signature and the licensing relationship with Z Records, while the pressing will be brought to market in 2026 on Groovin.

The 12" “Super Disco Edits Brazil Jazz Funk” (2026 repress), released on Legofunk, is a compilation that brings together four carefully crafted edits and puts a tangible tropical flavor front and center. With this release, Legofunk relies on stripped-back arrangements and punchy groove reworks that transform the original motifs into bolder shapes suited for clubs and DJ sets. The edition underscores the character of edits without resorting to the usual embellishments and keeps the listening dynamics tight.

The tracklist explicitly showcases the mix of artists: Alexny opens with “Harina De Maiz,” Alkalino contributes “Bate Tambor,” Lego Edit delivers “D.D.B,” and Scruscru closes with “Gold Velvet.” Each rework focuses on rhythmic clarity and danceable structures, while Legofunk curates the selection so that the EP functions as four gems that slot easily into different sets. “Super Disco Edits Brazil Jazz Funk” remains straightforward in its construction, yet offers enough melodic and percussive nuances to reveal new details on repeat plays. For collectors and DJs looking for compact, edit-driven releases, Legofunk has delivered a distinctive statement with this 12".

Mr. K turns his attention to his hometown with two deep underground New York disco cuts appearing on 7-inch for the first time.

On the A-side, Mr. K edits Black Rock's 'Hey Roots', the follow-up to the group's 1975 proto-disco single 'New York City Bump'. Built around a driving four-on-the-floor groove, the edit focuses on the hypnotic, Bohannon-esque rhythm while using the original vocals sparingly.

The flip tackles Ahzz's sought-after 'New York's Movin''. Mr. K works from the instrumental version, combining handclaps, tambourine, rhythm guitar and synth strings into a powerful dancefloor cut. A dubby breakdown and extended arrangement make maximum use of the 7-inch format, with both edits running for more than five minutes.

The "Volume 3" 7" by Lntg is released on Tuff Cut 7 and consistently continues the project’s edit series; as the third installment, the record delivers two carefully reworked soul classics that have been rearranged for use on the dancefloor. This volume focuses on concise, DJ‑friendly cuts and emphasizes groove‑oriented structures that work in clubs straight away.

Lntg — the abbreviation used for the producer long known as Late Nite Tuff Guy — follows a clear approach: cutting up old soul and disco gems in a way that preserves their melodic warmth while creating modern club dynamics. Characteristic are stripped‑back arrangements, emphasized rhythm sections, and carefully placed breaks and string parts that give the tracks a fresh danceability. This style has earned the artist a solid reputation in the scene as an edit specialist.

Side A features "Glow", while side B carries "Tite Hold" — two compact versions designed for DJ sets that work well as tools for transitions or peak moments. The release is announced as a limited edition; if you’re into precise, club‑focused soul edits, this 7" will make a tightly focused addition to your collection.

The colored vinyl edition of the "Mysterious Edit" 7" by Mr. Thelonious was released on Black Hole and presents two precisely honed edit versions that translate classic jazz and soul sources into functional DJ tools. Side A carries the subtitle "Jazz Dub Edit" and Side B presents "Nothing In This World Edit" — compact versions trimmed for groove and loopability, intentionally designed for use on the turntables.

The arrangements draw heavily on the 1970s jazz‑funk universe: Side A taps into elements of The Blackbyrds (Action, 1977), bringing Rhodes density, gliding basslines, and stripped‑down drum patterns to the surface, while the B‑side picks up orchestral soul textures from Tom Brock’s repertoire. Both source tunes have already seen heavy use in production practice, so these edits forge a direct link between original vinyl rarities and contemporary DJ culture.

Musically, Mr. Thelonious moves between dub‑style post‑production and DJ‑oriented edit craftsmanship: space, reverb, and targeted cuts highlight individual motifs, allowing the tracks to function as loop‑ready building blocks within a set. The treatment remains respectful of the originals while favoring a clear, dancefloor‑oriented structure — a release that appeals equally to collectors of jazz‑funk edits and to battle and crate‑digging DJs.

The colored vinyl edition of the "To The Disco '77" 12-inch by Move D has been released on All That Jelly and brings together two remastered versions of one of his signature tracks in a compact single release.

On the A-side you’ll find "To The Disco '77 (2025 Remaster)", while the B-side offers "To The Disco '77 (Move D Live Rework – 2025 Remaster)"; this way, the studio version and a version reworked for the stage stand side by side, presenting the piece in an updated sonic form.

In the accompanying press materials, Move D is described as one of the defining figures in the field of house, whose musical signature links soul‑inflected melodies with rhythmic clarity. The choice of these two remasters emphasizes both the melancholy, grooving side of the original and the improvisational energy of the live rework—qualities that have defined his style over the years.

The release on All That Jelly is at once a kind of retrospective and a reissue: earlier versions are technically reworked and optimized for the vinyl medium without losing the warm character of the recordings. The result is a release format that gives both DJs and listeners who appreciate an organic house sound direct access to two complementary versions of the same track.

The compilation "Skyrager Presents Coconut Dreams Volume One" has been released on Mr Bongo as a gatefold double LP. Collector, producer, and DJ Skyrager, known as Danny McLewin (one half of Psychemagik), has curated a soundtrack-like selection that functions as an imaginary tropical retreat. The compilation draws on carefully chosen tracks, some familiar and some rediscovered, which in sequence create a calm, dreamlike atmosphere.

Musically, the compilation moves between sun-drenched folk idyll, dreamy soul, astral ambient textures, and smooth AOR. Tracks like The Carmets’ “Silver Moon Beach” and Angela Bofill’s “Under The Moon And Over The Sky” sit alongside Keiko Nosaka & George Murasaki with koto-infused prog rock, Fred Bryan & The All Stars’ politically charged soul, and O’Donel Levy’s warm guitar work. Vinyl-exclusive tracks and the breadth of arrangements underline the curatorial signature and open up space for unexpected sonic encounters.

The sequencing emphasizes a fluid transition from organic rhythms to ethereal synth layers and delicate horn arrangements, allowing the record to function as a continuous journey. As a Mr Bongo release, the compilation also documents meticulous archival work and Skyrager’s keen ear for gems beyond the mainstream.

The compilation “Balearic Breakfast” was curated by Colleen “Cosmo” Murphy and is released on Heavenly as a double LP. Volume 5 in the series features ten tracks and brings together a selection that casts a wide net across the realms of Balearic, cosmic, and club music; many of the tracks included here are available on vinyl for the first time. Heavenly and the curator once again rely on a blend of rare finds, rediscoveries, and productions that reflect the Balearic movement’s broad sonic spectrum.

The collection ranges from psych-rock, Afrobeat-infused arrangements such as “A Cosmic Scale” by The Seven Ups and quirky, mutant disco gems featuring Crooked Man and All Seeing I to sun-warmed ’80s soul moments like “Wanna Be With You” by Lovetempo featuring Mattison. The compilation closes with an extended, cosmic New Age epic by Michael Shrieve, Kevin Shrieve, and Klaus Schulze (“Transfer Station Blue”), opening up a vast, contemplative horizon. The sequencing emphasizes organic transitions and contrasts, allowing “Balearic Breakfast” on Heavenly to function both as a documentary and a curatorial snapshot—one that makes the many voices of the Balearic universe immediately audible.

Gaeg is the production project of Japanese duo Keita Sano and Monkey Timers, bringing together two key figures from Tokyo’s underground dance scene. Built from the ground up with carefully placed disco samples, twisted FX and warped electronics, their sound is psychedelic, anarchic and unpredictable. Familiar dancefloor elements are pushed through a distorted lens, creating a sound deeply rooted in house and disco, while drifting into strange and futuristic territory. Highly effective on a dancefloor, these four tracks cover a wide range within the mid BPM range for different scenarios in the club space, one for the DJ record bag at all times.

The “Small Edits 3” 7" by Tonbe is released on Small Edits and comprises two precise edit versions by the Serbian DJ and editor Tonbe. With this release, Small Edits brings two compact reworks to vinyl that showcase Tonbe’s signature as a DJ and editor. Hailing from Serbia, Tonbe conceives the tracks as concentrated renditions of existing source material; the 7" presents these reworks in a cohesive form that is fully focused on the edit.

The production of the two edits is deliberately kept to the essentials and aimed at users who are looking for direct, to-the-point versions. Small Edits classifies the release style-wise in the “Edits” category and, with “Small Edits 3,” offers a clear overview of Tonbe’s approach to reshaping songs through trimming and reordering. Thanks to its more compact format, the 7" serves as a striking addition to DJ sets and to collections of carefully crafted edit productions. With “Small Edits 3,” Tonbe confirms his role as an editor, while Small Edits continues the series and further pursues the principle of concentrated, singular edit issues.

Released on Hot Biscuit, the 12" “Spanish Fly” brings together three specially prepared disco edits by Specter and presents the material as a vinyl-only edition for DJ use. The A-side features “Spanish Fly (edit),” complemented by “Show Off (edit)” and “Do The Groove (edit)” on the B-side; the release is explicitly offered as a DJ promo pressing with no digital files.

Musically, Specter presents the tracks as focused Latin disco arrangements: typically rhythm-driven grooves, smooth percussion, and extended break sections create room for mixing. Specter chops three Latin disco cuts into DJ-ready versions, with the edits geared toward dance floor friendliness and clean transitions, while still staying true to the melodic core of the originals.

Key characteristics of this edition are the hand-picked edits and the vinyl-focused presentation, which emphasizes the material as a physical DJ tool. Released via Hot Biscuit, it’s aimed at collectors and working DJs looking for carefully tailored disco edits; distribution runs through Hot Biscuit’s label shop program, which offers the 12" as a limited pressing.

The Tstd Edits 19 7" by Monsieur Van Pratt is released on Too Slow To Disco as black vinyl and includes two new versions. The Mexican producer and musician returns with his second two-track edit excursion into the world of rare cover versions from Mexico. His work for the TSTD series combines meticulous cut-and-paste craftsmanship with a preference for fresh, little-known source material.

On side A, “Solo Tu Y Yo” delivers a slow disco edit of an extremely rare late-’70s Mexican cover version of the Bill Withers classic “Just The Two Of Us.” Side B, “Junto A Ti,” is a mid-tempo reworking of a Mexican take on “Upside Down” (Diana Ross with Nile Rodgers), putting the focus on pronounced rhythmic drive and condensed vocal arrangements. Both edits rely on distinctive rhythms and inventive arrangements that place the original melodies in a fresh context.

His first 7", featuring an edit of the Bobby Caldwell composition “What You Won't Do For Love,” ranks among the most frequently repressed and commercially successful entries in the TSTD EDIT series. Tstd Edits 19 on Too Slow To Disco builds on that and presents the producer in the role of archivist and arranger, carefully reorganizing his discoveries and presenting them as concise edit versions.

Samosa Records brings the heat just in time for the summer months with Volume 3 of the electrifying ‘Earth, Wind & Funk’ series – landing a slick four tracker that will relieve you of your socks and undergarments…

Kicking Vol.3 off is Roberto Telll with ‘It’s Magic’ – an unstoppable, bass driven leviathan of a track with perfectly balanced vocals and groovy, punchy beats. ‘It’s Magic’ straddles that sweet spot of disco flavour expertly infused with a peppery funk spice. Mesmerising.

Track 2 sees the welcome return of label favourites and fellow Italian groove machine Dirtyelements with ‘Get On Down’ (De Gama Re-Groove). The mid-tempo calypso rhythm on this slice of leg-wobbling perfection is outrageously infectious. Dirtyelements has yet another solid, stomping disco builder bursting out of the lab with a mission to cause mayhem.

On Side B, Marco Corona swoops in with his 126bpm sonic torpedo ‘Eat Me!’ From the start, ‘Eat Me!’ drums its way into your subconscious with a powerful bass drum and tribal tinted percussion. Before you know it, you’re over the border into house territory – expertly picked vocal loops and builds make this one insanely irresistible.

Closing out the EP with ‘Hey Jee’ is Italian producer extraordinaire Frank Virgilio. Step into Mr Virgilio’s taxi whilst he whisks you through downtown Manhattan en route to the best night out in town. Soaring strings, slick bass work and nimble beats are the dress code – but, don’t worry, Frank always gets you in.

Raising the Samosa bar yet again, ‘Earth, Wind & Funk Vol. 3’ is a cool antidote for those hot summer nights under the stars – best served with your favourite cocktail.

The "Till The Doctor Gets Back" 12" by Quiet Village was released on The Quiet Village label and brings together a distinctive take on the song by Barry Reynolds as well as a dub remix by Mad Professor. The A-side features Quiet Village's version of the track, while the B-side contains the dub version created by Mad Professor, making the release highlight both song-oriented structure and classic dub aesthetics.

Quiet Village translate the melodic otherworldliness and gentle pulse of the original into their characteristic, expansive sonic universe: extended reverbs, carefully placed delays, and warm synth textures ensure that the take on feels both familiar and new. The production remains understated, focusing on atmospheric details and subtle rhythmic variations, so the result shifts between Balearic aesthetics, downtempo, and dub.

Quiet Village is the project of Joel Martin and Matt "Radio Slave" Edwards, who have shaped it for years with a preference for spacious arrangements and nostalgically tinged soundscapes; for this edition, they also relied for the first time on an external dub treatment by Mad Professor. The choice of "Till The Doctor Gets Back" connects directly to the early era of Island Records and the songwriters of that time, making the 12" serve as a bridge between respectful homage and contemporary rendition.

The “O'guaglione” 7" by Tony Cicco was released on Fulltime and brings the classic song into a nuanced nu-disco treatment. Tony Cicco takes on the familiar motif, which here works not as a nostalgic retrospective, but as a dance-oriented rendition. Fulltime gives the track contemporary reworks that preserve the melodic backbone of the original while reorienting it rhythmically.

On the record, Clalex and Marco Trani each deliver a remix that explores different sides of the nu-disco spectrum: Clalex relies on sparkling hi-hat work and smooth basslines, while Marco Trani emphasizes driving groove variations with clear synth textures. These remixes bring Tony Cicco’s vocal lines and the characteristic hook elements to the forefront, while electronic twists and phrasings sharpen the tracks for club and DJ use. The “O'guaglione” 7" on Fulltime thus offers a compact, carefully curated single edition that gives both fans of the original and listeners of modern nu disco direct access to this reworking of the material.

The compilation “Bobby "O" Rarities Volume 2 Black Vinyl Edition” is being released on I.D. The “Rarities” designation in the title points to previously hard-to-find versions and album or single cuts that are gathered here on a 12" either for the first time or as reissues. I.D. Limited continues the series with a focus on nu-disco–oriented soundscapes that typically rely on grooving basslines and striking synthesizer arrangements.

The compilation’s selection centers on exceptional discoveries and edit versions that reflect the specific cosmos around Bobby "O" without naming individual credits in advance. “Bobby "O" Rarities Volume 2 Black Vinyl Edition” thus provides a working foundation for adaptations in DJ sets and at the same time offers a documentary glimpse into increasingly rare productions from the post-disco continuum. I.D. The 12" “This Ain't No Disco / Tarot” by Loveface / Misiu is presented as a split release on A & R Edits and brings together two purpose-built renditions: Loveface turns Talking Heads’ “Life During Wartime” into a dancefloor-ready version, while Misiu brings an early Italo track back into focus with a flowing, rework-focused approach. Early support from Greg Wilson and Ian Ossia confirmed the energetic response to the advance plays.

For his new take, Loveface leans on a striking, groove-driven structure that preserves the original’s distinctive stance while tightening up the bass and percussion so it really works on the floor; this treatment turns the song into a truly reliable club cut for the first time. In doing so, Loveface underlines his penchant for detail-oriented edit work that recontextualizes the familiar.

Misiu’s version of “Tarot” follows in the tradition of edit projects that made early Italo material accessible to DJs again — a history also illustrated by the early Idjut Boys re-edit revival of the track. Misiu relies on smooth transitions and distinctly trance-like melodicism, allowing the piece to regain its hypnotic quality while opening up more active room for DJs to play with it in their sets.

As a release on a vinyl-focused edits imprint, the record slots neatly into the label’s curated series and appeals to listeners interested in carefully crafted renditions drawing on disco, Italo and post-punk sources. The combination of a newly reignited classic and a gently modernized Italo deep cut makes this 12" a concise statement in the rework cosmos.

Carista’s “Everything Is Better With You” 12-inch, released on United Identities, marks the producer’s return to her own label and combines personal songwriting with dancefloor-ready energy. Carista draws on a warm, acid-tinged house aesthetic while maintaining a clear funk core, keeping the track punchy despite its open-hearted emotionality and making it a strong choice for club season. The voice on the track belongs to Carista herself: a discarded Ableton sample inspired her to record the vocal herself, capturing a raw, magnetic intimacy that defines the song.

Musically, “Everything Is Better With You” works with organic grooves, subtle synth accents and a production style that combines nu-disco playfulness with classic house structure. Carista’s approach of transforming familiar building blocks into something deeply personal is reflected in every arrangement detail, creating moments in which space, voice and rhythm condense into a single feeling. Thematically, the track is about places and people that create a sense of home somewhere—and it is precisely this warmth that makes the 12-inch on United Identities a statement that is both intimate and danceable.

The white vinyl edition of the “Ltdblbl025” LP by Borka & The Gang was released on Ltd, W/Lbl and marks a clear milestone for the label: its first LP in the catalog, limited to 300 copies and issued as 2×12" white vinyl, with each copy hand-stamped. The edition combines the understated aesthetic of a white-label release with the care of a small-label production and places Boris Graus, the driving force behind Borka & The Gang, at the center.

Musically, “Ltdblbl025” moves through 12 tracks of house, jazz house, and deep-house-leaning electronica; the album combines electronic production with the character of live-played instruments. Boris Graus handled keyboards, glockenspiel, and percussion, joined by contributions from Malou de Sel (vocals), Jürgen Leutnant (saxophone), Bruno dela Rosa (bass), Dario Cei (flute), and Bruno Freitas (guitar). Mastering was handled by Salz, the records were manufactured by Rand Muzik, and distribution is provided by Inch By Inch Distribution. Overall, the release presents a broad range spanning groove-driven, jazz-inflected arrangements and deeper atmospheric moments that seek to bridge club appeal and instrumental texture.

Released on Forest Jams, the “Inspiration From E2-E4” 12" by Sugar Plant and Dub Squad brings together two long, detail-rich tracks from the orbit of the early-2000s compilation “Inspiration from E2-E4” as a 45 RPM reissue. With this 12", Forest Jams puts the cosmic, disco-inflected, edit-oriented material back on vinyl and emphasizes the clear, warm arrangements on both sides.

On the A-side, Sugar Plant delivers “Just Be There,” a home-studio rendition built from a looped two-chord electric piano figure, carefully executed filter sweeps, and a bass track that began as a guitar recording and was then turned into an analog-sounding synth foundation (Doepfer MS-404). Layered synths, a guitar solo that doesn’t appear until late in the track, and spontaneous vocal takes recorded in a hallway create the nocturnal, deep house-adjacent mood Shin’ichi Ogawa was aiming for.

The B-side features Dub Squad with “E.D.E.N.,” a deliberately restrained piece built around a bell/gong motif (presumably a Yamaha DX-7), an SH-101 bassline, Juno-106 pads, MS-404 sequences, and sampler effects. “E.D.E.N.” later made its way onto the soundtrack of the feature film “Ping Pong” (2002), thereby reaching a wider audience. Forest Jams presents both cuts in a precise 45 RPM pressing, highlighting the production details and instrumentation of the original recordings.

The 12" released on Selva Discos under the title "Baiana: Brasingles Volume 2 2026 Repress" presents the road-tested live version of the Brazilian concert classic on vinyl for the first time and comes as a reissue in a full-color sleeve.

Behind the track is the group Barbatuques, a well-known Brazilian ensemble of body percussionists, who already adapted "Baianá" in 2005 for the album "O Seguinte É Esse." The song was originally composed by Maria do Carmo Barbosa; in the Barbatuques version, jaw harp elements and a stomping rhythm shape the distinctive motif, which has since become a fixed part of their concerts. This striking approach to arrangement defines the group’s style: vocal and body percussion as the melodic and rhythmic leitmotif.

The B-side delivers a purpose-built club version: Jan Schulte, here under the alias Wolf Müller (also known as Bufiman), added extra drums from a library of so-called "drumdrops," creating a DJ-friendly rework. The release is part of the Brasingles series on Selva Discos, which pairs the original recording on the A-side with a reworked version on the B-side, aiming to appeal equally to DJs and listeners.

The compilation “Best Of 2026” on The Disco Express is being released as a Special Edition 12" Pink Vinyl and brings together a curated selection from the label’s 2026 output. Designed as a deluxe Special Edition, the release celebrates six selected records that accompanied The Disco Express through another defining year. The 12" offers a focused retrospective of the label without delving into individual album structures, instead spotlighting distinctive edit versions that reframe the character of the respective originals.

Musically, “Best Of 2026” focuses on edits and brings together contributions from Make It Disco, Bustin' Loose, MGR Mike, Ayce & Spirit of House, Lefti, and La Felix. The compilation places concise versions tailored for use in DJ sets side by side and showcases the range that defined The Disco Express in 2026. In doing so, it delivers a compact cross-section of the label’s year and underscores The Disco Express’ focus on dance-oriented, reworked versions of established and new tracks.

It’s Italian time! Sam Ruffillo is back. Sicilian producer doing smooth Balearic disco with Italian vocals. The direction is clear: Sam Ruffillo’s music brings us back into the Italian riviera and the hippy days of Ibiza in the late 1970ies. Even his way of production is similar to how the early days disco producers in Italia used to work: No samples needed. Instead a few guest musicians come to jam over Sam’s beats in his Italian studio space. Guitar, bass, percussions. Sam later makes the production and added keyboard solos and put together the vibes into what is this new EP. The girl voice comes from Ninfa. It’s the classic studio story: Ninfa is a singer and DJ and friend of Sam. She was hanging at the studio while Sam was finishing these tracks. She stated to sing along… the words came up spontaneously… so they decided to record her and finally decided to keep them. The vibe was too good. Why talk English if u can do it better: in Italian! :) This is second for Toy Tonics after his Sport House EP from last year. Sam also appeared on the solo record of Joel Holmes on Toy Tonics. Together with Kapote Modica he co-produced and made the beats on that record. Now Sam is back with this pure Italian EP. Inclusive remixes by new German artists Gome and Italian Musemeci - known to many from his fabulous Italo-trance releases on Diynamic records.

The white vinyl edition of the “Josephine” 12" by Disco For The People is released on MB Edits and brings the reissued edit version of the Chris Rea classic back to vinyl. The single features two sharply focused reworks: on the A-side, the Chris Coco edit, which leads the melody into a warm, Balearic-tinged sunset vibe; and on the B-side, the Dalminjo edit, which delivers a focused, deep groove that drives dancefloor-ready movement. After a break of around 13 years, “Josephine” is once again available in physical form, offering concise, DJ-oriented versions of the original.

Disco For The People and the label MB Edits opt for stripped-back arrangements on this 12" and emphasize the balance between melancholic melody and rhythmic drive; the Chris Coco edit highlights graceful pads and melodic peaks, while Dalminjo’s rework pushes bass and percussion to the forefront. The white vinyl edition turns the release into a tangible collector’s item and presents the two edits in a clear, DJ-friendly format that can be dropped straight into both Balearic-oriented sets and club-ready contexts.

Released on The Quiet Village, the “Plateau Alone” 12" by Dr Dunks with Zopelar presents itself as a compact EP featuring three tracks: “Plateau Alone,” “Slow One Eleven,” and “88 Lights.” The release distills Eric Duncan’s many years of experience as a producer and DJ into a concise form focused on grooving club appeal, while the arrangements remain open enough to allow for laid-back Balearic moments and electronic subtleties.

Musically, the EP combines a warm bass foundation with syncopated synth lines and textured percussion patterns; the opener leans on 80s‑referencing synthesizers and melodic bass motifs, while “Slow One Eleven” pulls the tempo back and creates space for rhythmic finesse. “88 Lights” closes things out with a deep, slightly dubby hue and subtle use of effects. Eric Duncan, known as Dr Dunks, draws on his role as part of Rub‑N‑Tug and Still Going as well as a remix and production network that includes work for names like Grace Jones, Todd Terje, LCD Soundsystem, and Groove Armada. Zopelar contributes Brazilian sensibilities and influences from jazz, soul, and house, giving the tracks a warm, organic touch.

On this 12", High Resolution offers three versions—Extended, Radio, and Instrumental—providing different runtimes and arrangements of the same motif, designed for both club sets and radio-friendly formats. The release references a Roman production from 1983 and weaves disco-inflected grooves together with distinct new wave and pop influences, setting the composition apart from classic repetitive Italo disco patterns.

Stefano Galante (BlackWay & Helene, aka BWH & Asso) is credited as a key contributor to the sound design, helping shape the airy, lightly electronic atmospheres that characterize the track. S.P.Q.R. is releasing the 12" as a disco mix; the tracks are presented in notably different lengths—Extended, Radio, and Instrumental—underscoring the versatility of High Resolution’s production. This release brings the original’s structural elements clearly to the fore while also highlighting the textural elaboration Stefano Galante incorporated into the arrangements.

The 12" “I Find The Way / Do You Really Go” by Roger Meno, released on Discotime, reintroduces two long dance versions of a sought-after Euro-disco track in Europe and is offered as an import edition. The A-side features “I Find The Way” in an extended version (approx. 6:45), while the B-side contains “Do You Really Go” (approx. 6:10); both tracks follow the format of classic 12" maxi-singles from the 1980s. This release deliberately presents itself as a reissue of a rare single and makes the two long versions available once again to club and vinyl audiences.

Musically, the material is based on Roger Meno’s own production and composition; in the credits of the original recordings, Roger Meno is listed as writer and producer, complemented by a saxophone contribution from Gerd Röding, who adds distinctive accents to the arrangements. The length of the tracks allows for extended instrumental passages and places the melodic parts of the original at the center. As a reissue on Discotime, this 12" brings a specific historical title from the Euro-disco and boogie context back onto the turntable and documents a distinctive single from the mid-1980s.

A tribute to Bob the Landlord from Rotterdam.

Bob the Landlord became known in Rotterdam after appearing in Roy Dames's legendary documentary about the harbor cafe Willems Kantine. He was a loud and direct landlord who rented small rooms to people around the area. Bob was famous for his strong Rotterdam attitude and the way he spoke to people without filtering his words.

One of the most famous moments was when Cowboy Jos asked him for five euros. Bob angrily replied, "Five euros? On your face!" This line later became a well-known quote in Rotterdam.

Even though he could be rough and strict, Bob became a memorable character and a small cult figure in the city.

4 tracks on one very special release.

A1 by Doctr - Our Minds Belong Together. The long awaited super nu italo hit already played by David Vunk at many festivals and clubs where everyboday is waiting for!

A2 by Theo Scuera - Your Virus.
Club banger and Dancefloor filler with crazy sexy bassline and pumping rhythm section. Half electro half techno. Endmix legendary by Endrik schroeder.

A1 David Vunk and Ben la Desh - Unrealized prophet.
Long time friends Ben la Desh and David Vunk team up again with another super deep techno house track, layered analog sequencial prophet 5 synths sound, Erica Perkons drums and fx. All of this comes together in an exciting tech break with space-like sounds. Be prepared for this secret wapon.

B2 Patricio Diaz - Come To My Hell
A Parisian space house techno track with energetic beats and 90ies vibes. Pure energy. Get your 10000 steps on this one.

Hint: Most likely people will already buy this just for the cover.

The high-energy momentum continues with Whodamanny’s new double single on his own Biloba Catalogue. Capturing the post-summer ache of an obsessive love, "Obsesiòn" channels that deep-rooted Southern intensity, where obsession isn't a flaw, but a vital, positive drive to love endlessly. Turning up the heat, "Corazón Caliente" hits with a raw, sweat-soaked proto-house rhythm and heavy workstation brass stacks built to set hearts on fire. On the flip side, both tracks receive DJ-ready treatments with the specially named dub version "Dub Pasión" and the instrumental take "Sueño De Verano."

Leaving their biggest wedding hits “Cuba” and “Que Sera Mi Vida” to the side, the philanthropic and smile-forcing “Ooh, What A Life” gets an extended edit service by Shan & Gerd Janson, who cut away some of the fat and make it fit for fun on contemporary dance-floors. The flip side sees them remixing and sandpapering “Heaven” into a disco-house interbred (filters and looping mandatory). To quote John Lyndon: “Disco sucks? You never heard that from me.

The “Invisible Escape / Greatest Treasure” double LP by Fuga Ronto is released on Phantom Island and for the first time brings both albums together in a compact anniversary edition. In this 10 Years Jubilee Edition, the release combines the 2016 album “Invisible Escape” and 2021’s “Greatest Treasure,” marking the first chapter of the band’s history ten years after the project was first introduced by Tobias Schweizer and Ron Shiller.

The compilation documents Fuga Ronto’s characteristic blend of Balearic moods, cosmic aesthetics, synth-driven pop, dub elements, and subtly disco reminiscences. Selected tracks have been remastered, preserving the warmth and character of the original productions while achieving greater sonic definition. This editorial sequencing makes it possible to follow the musical handwriting of the two records in one continuous flow.

The edition is complemented by two previously unreleased tracks from the original sessions, “One Thing Leads To Another” and “Deconstruction Again,” as well as an exclusive dub version of “Greatest Treasure.” A printed insert with archival studio photos rounds out the package on Phantom Island and turns the double LP into a documentary look at the first ten years of Fuga Ronto.

“Fairlight” by Dea is being released as a 12-inch on the Rush Hour Store Jams imprint and brings together four new tracks by the producer previously known for the project Precious Bloom. The release is built around a clear concept: not a pure club format, but a fully composed mini-collection that accompanies the listener from beginning to end and subtly rearranges once-familiar sounds.

The starting point for “Fairlight” was the purchase of a Yamaha DX1; a preset sound found there called Fairlight sparked the initial idea. From this came the desire to develop an Italo-wave-inspired approach that feels contemporary while referencing the characteristics of early electronic music. The compositions are less bound to the repetition-based structures of classic dance music and instead unfold in a narrative way, allowing melodies and harmonic progressions room to develop.

Musically, Dea combines baroque harmonic ideas—such as chromatically ascending progressions and careful voice leading—with playful bubblegum synth lines that lend the sound color and lightness. The result is a tension between nostalgia and experiment; vintage synthesizers meet a stylistic language that puts movement, surprise, and the idea of a musical journey at the center. The A-side features the tracks “Fairlight” (5:21) and “Noctara” (4:46).

Norman Gervais and Charles Bals return after last year’s Transcoastal compilation with their first project for the Italian label Periodica Records and its newly founded imprint, Periodica International. The concept behind SiRENE 89 is quite particular and took six years to develop. It is presented as the live recording of one long evening, with different bands taking the stage one after another on the terrace of a Mediterranean holiday resort in 1989, inspired by the places Charles and Norm remember from their summer holidays around that time. The songs were recorded between 1982 and 1993 and gathered from small-time artists, beach-club vagabonds, local micro-labels, library records and privately released tapes. The music moves lightly between mystical ballads, digital samba and loose, sunburnt dance songs, carried by drum machines, not-quite-tuned guitars and college-band voices. The audience on the terrace remains quietly present throughout, joining the tracks into one continuous, partly improvised set. By the end, it feels less like a compilation and more like a place where you have spent the night, proving that charm can carry further than perfection.

The “Cobra Edits Volume 8 Japanese Limited Vinyl Edition” by Unknown Artist brings together four concise edit cuts on a 12-inch release issued as a Japanese limited edition within the Cobra Edits series. Staying true to the concept of the series, the record offers condensed club arrangements aimed at DJs and collectors, presenting a focused selection of dance-oriented reworks on vinyl.

Musically, the release moves between deep house, disco, and nu-disco, with warm basslines, precise hi-hat work, and stripped-back, groove-driven structures that yield short, DJ-friendly versions of the original tracks. The record features “Dex,” “Hit,” “Bsf,” and “France” on the A and B sides, each presented as a standalone edit. This format underscores the functional nature of the compilation for sets and replays.

Unknown Artist appears here without detailed credits, shifting the focus squarely onto the arrangements themselves; the edition slots into a series of similar releases on the Cobra label and is aimed at DJs seeking compact, practical edits. For collectors, the Japanese pressing offers a concept-faithful addition to the Cobra Edits catalog.

The "Discoteca Tropicana" 12" by Discoteca Tropicana is released on Selva Discos and brings together four original compositions that celebrate the rhythms that have shaped Brazilian disco: a mix of swinging arrangements and tropical flair aimed squarely at lighting up the dancefloor.

The project is the result of a collaboration between Kiko Costato, the enfant terrible of the Brazilian scene, and Zé Nigro, a producer and multi-instrumentalist with two Grammy Awards. For the recordings, Costato and Nigro recruited some of Brazil’s most distinguished studio musicians as well as pioneers of the country’s Black music scene, including backing vocalists who regularly work with Gilberto Gil. This mix of personnel contributes to the stylistic diversity of the EP.

Musically, the record moves between classic disco aesthetics and regional Brazilian patterns: “Corpos Celestes” leans on orchestral string arrangements and a big grand piano, like the glamorous opening to a night out; “Corpo Treme” is a sweat‑drenched, carimbó‑driven track with a vuco‑vuco vibe; “Tobina” links Brazilian swing with African vocal forms and distinctive guitar work in an afoxé feel; and finally, “Não Pode Acabar” is the urban dancefloor hit that works equally well as a set opener or as a furious set closer.

The clear production, the selection of seasoned accompanying musicians, and the thematic range make the "Discoteca Tropicana" 12" a compact, well‑balanced homage to the fusion of Brazilian tradition and disco sensibility.

20 Dolla Julio keeps his identity a mystery but there are no secrets about what music gets him going. He's a master of classic hip-hop joints mixed, blended, diced, cut and stitched together into electric new grooves that bear all the hallmarks of the originals but with extra club clout.

First up is “Still”, a West Coast classic retaining its bleeping melodies and trademark bars but now backed by a tight, bumping broken beat. “Overnight Celeb” then combines pitched-up vocal intensity with smoother bars, bright harmonica and plenty of classic swing.

Released on Lost Property, the “Lost Property 5” 12" by The Unknown Artist brings together four carefully assembled edits and reworks that rebalance classic vocal moments and club-ready dub versions. The A-side opens with a DJ edit of a track from Björk’s album “Debut,” immediately establishing the connection between warm vocal passages and precise dancefloor arrangement. The release also features work by PBR and Magari, including the energetic “PBR Refix” and two versions that play with aerobic and heavy dub approaches.

On the B-side, a “Magari Wrong Speed Dub” shifts familiar melodies into unexpected tempos, adding extra synth work and textural changes, while a “PBR HEAVY DUB” delivers rhythmic depth and direct dancefloor impact. Overall, the production stays focused on edit techniques that respect the original material while opening up new, DJ-friendly spaces.

The release on Lost Property is aimed at DJs and edit enthusiasts: support comes from a range of renowned selectors, including DJ Harvey, Bicep, TEED, Sarah Story, Joe Goddard, Make A Dance, DJ Subaru, Demi Requismo, Horsemeat Disco, Greg Wilson, Crazy P, Justin Strauss, Sean Johnston (ALFOS), Masimiliano Pagliara, Red Rack’em, Jordan Nocturne, Gina Breeze, and Heidi L. This broad DJ support underscores how well “Lost Property 5” 12" works in a variety of sets.

The "Autoblu" 12" released on Disco Segreta brings a rediscovered Italo/Balearic rarity back into focus, combining nostalgic 1980s synthesizers with a distinctly Balearic framework. Gabriella Bove’s voice shapes the recording through an idiosyncratic phrasing that gives the track a playful, almost detached quality; it has often been cited as an early example of a cosmic Balearic aesthetic and was originally released in the late 1980s.

Disco Segreta is reissuing the "Autoblu" 12", presenting the track in its original 12" length, remastered from analog source material and available in a strictly limited edition. The reissue not only restores the original versions but also highlights the production details and the early fusion of Italo elements with Balearic arrangements, allowing the record to function both as a historical document and as a dancefloor-ready cut for contemporary selections. For collectors and DJs interested in unusual Italo gems, the "Autoblu" 12" offers a meticulously reworked edition of this rare find.

“Edits #1” by Manuel Darquart is released on Adventures In Paradise as a 12-inch and openly foregrounds the focus hinted at in its title: the name suggests carefully constructed edit work tailored for use in DJ sets. This assessment is based on the title and the context of the release.

In recent years, Manuel Darquart has built a reputation as a producer and DJ in house and Balearic circles; releases like the Del Sol and Bluesurf89 EPs reveal a fondness for warm synthesizers, lively chord progressions, and a junction where breaks, acid, and deep house elements meet. His handling of nostalgic sounds and dance-oriented arrangements shapes the recording aesthetic.

The 12-inch on Adventures In Paradise thus positions itself between selective club suitability and a loving appetite for reinterpretation: targeted interventions in song structures, extended instrumental passages, and nuanced percussion updates are typical features of the edit approach Darquart pursues in DJ sets and compilations. For listeners who value smooth transitions and melodic nuances, “Edits #1” offers a compact glimpse into his working methods.

Released on Sgt Slick Recuts, the “Slick Cuts Volume 8” 12" by Sgt Slick presents four meticulously crafted reworks that carry forward the core idea of his ReCuts series. Operating in the “Edits” genre, Sgt Slick combines familiar motifs from disco, house, and pop with an arrangement approach clearly geared toward club presence; the record delivers compact, dance floor–oriented edits that are rhythmically sharpened and optimized for DJ use. The production focuses on tight grooves and punchy breaks, transforming the chosen classics into concise, DJ‑friendly formats.

Specific tracks like “Shampagne” and “Wanna B” show the breadth of the selection, ranging from funk‑tinged licks to poppy melodic lines; each of the four cuts offers its own peak‑time moment without breaking the edition’s throughline. Sgt Slick uses familiar melodic fragments as a jumping‑off point for new club versions, while the mastering approach emphasizes impact on sound systems. “Slick Cuts Volume 8” can thus be seen both as a continuation of the ReCuts series and as a focused DJ tool, adding to the ongoing label program of Sgt Slick Recuts.

“Jnr Edits #1” by Jnr Edits is released as a 12" on the eponymous Jnr Edits label and appears as a subtly presented white-label edition. The label only shows the wording JNR EDITS #01; no further information about track titles or contributors is provided. The release is deliberately anonymous and stripped-down, as is often the case with edit and DJ productions.

As a release with a focus on “edits,” the record points to reworked versions and tight, stripped-down arrangements that rely on rhythmic intensification, instrumental passages, and clean cutting. Such reworks generally aim to highlight individual song sections and make the tracks more accessible for use in a DJ context, without fully revealing the original source material.

Here, Jnr Edits functions both as artist name and as label, suggesting an autonomous, independent approach to releasing the music. No concrete credits, producer information, or detailed track listing are provided with this edition, so listeners and collectors have to form their impression based solely on the record itself.

“Jnr Edits #1” thus offers a documentary artifact from the field of edit culture: a compact, consciously restrained 12" object that will appeal especially to DJs and collectors who appreciate limited, barely labeled releases.

Rebolledo is back. And this time, he's bringing his own label: Rated R. What began as a party series — with chapters like Rated R and Wax Upon A Time — now mutates into a record label. Long overdue, if you ask us. Surrounded by talented friends from all corners of the globe, this is the new home for bringing everything back into focus. And yes, on wax too. Naturally. For the first release, we're kicking things off with something equally overdue: Rub N Tug are back. The track? A certified underground wanderer. Loved, played, and passed around dance floors worldwide for well over a decade, yet somehow never properly released. Or maybe it was. Sort of. It's complicated. Now it returns with a remix of a remix, giving the whole thing a fresh coat of cosmic polish. As if that wasn't enough, Paulor takes things one step further with a particularly special jam of his own. Which means we're now dealing with a remix of a remix of a remix.

Confusing? Maybe. Necessary? Absolutely. Makes perfect sense to us.

The “Ruimte Zat” 12-inch by Vesuvio Vortex with Seutek, released on Bordello A Parigi, documents an unusually direct collaboration. The Rotterdam-based production duo and DJ Seutek initially bonded over their love of records, long listening sessions, and spontaneous DJ sets at Seutek’s record store. One evening, Seutek performed his poem “Ruimte Zat” (“In Space There’s Space Enough”); his vocals were recorded that same night, and Vesuvio Vortex shaped the foundation of the record from that session. Bordello A Parigi releases this origin story as a 12-inch without unnecessary embellishment, placing a clear focus on the voice and arrangement.

Musically, “Ruimte Zat” weaves the spoken-word track into a melancholic, ’80s-inspired synth backdrop, with Vesuvio Vortex embedding Seutek’s voice as the central element. The result remains raw in tone yet atmospheric, blending nostalgia with a sense of floating optimism. On the B-side, HAAK. delivers an energetic remix that adds breakbeat impulses and euphoria, offering the single a dance-oriented counterpoint. With “Ruimte Zat,” Bordello A Parigi once again demonstrates its feel for sophisticated electronic releases that confidently unite narrative language and a club-oriented approach.

Kampana put together arguably their hottest 7" so far, with two heavily in demand tracks from Brazilian producer Ruas, who shows his creativity, blending unique samples with live musicians.

"All the Way Down" is a monster jazzy disco-house number, with freshly recorded drums and up-front bassline, taking the groove levels off the chart on a retro soul vocal.

On the flip, "Like You" sees Ruas digging deep to find the unmistakable voice of a true 'royal' legend hyping the crowd in a rare live interlude. Ruas went into the studio with his crew of Brazilian musicians to record a full instrumental to blend with the vocals. The result is a jazz-heavy track that sounds like it could easily have been discovered in the artist’s lost archives and will cause a riot on the dancefloor.

A deep cut from the extensive back catalogue of South African group Splash, significant artists in the narrative of the country’s fiercely independent Gallo Record Company, Cwpt presents two uplifting mixes of 1990’s ‘An Eye For An Eye’, arranged by a modern day hero of the craft, Lipelis.

Originally released in parallel with the official beginning of the end of South Africa’s decades-long Apartheid, lead vocalist Daniel Tshanda dispels the philosophy of the track’s title, instead offering a still poignant call for unity; “An eye for an eye is no good… Let’s live together as one.”

Lipelis’s carefully crafted take retains this sentiment front and centre, while nudging the arrangement toward contemporary dancefloors, enriching a steady and bubbling mix of colourful keys, bubblegum percussion and a lifting backing chorus that includes another Gallo sensation, Dalom Kids.

These same voices form the spiritual centre of Lipelis’s 12” dub version, which further demonstrates the track’s irresistible rhythm, making space for complimentary piano melodies from Lipelis, alongside collaborator Eugene Piankov. Here, sunsetting piano lines dance with the analogue techniques of Lipelis’s own production instincts, forging a blissful tribute to a potent moment in South African musical history.

The “Palmy Daze” 12" released on Unlimited Capacity features four mixes that deliberately shimmer between cosmic and Balearic aesthetics. At the center is the Jex Opolis x Lexx version of “Palmy Daze,” in which Jex Opolis combines breaks, clever vocal chops, and a rolling bassline; strands of acoustic guitar add extra texture, while Lexx handled the final arrangement and mixdown. This rework noticeably ramps up the energy while still opening up space for danceable moments.

The original version of “Palmy Daze” takes a more mellow approach, aimed at those transition hours between day and night: airy, slightly dreamy, and with room to breathe. “Allure” moves in similar territory, but with more earthiness and stronger percussion, creating a sense of warmth and expansiveness. The “Surf Rider Mix” is aimed squarely at Balearic playtimes; by foregoing a continuous kick drum, the breakbeat and bassline are allowed to swell more dramatically and form waves that carry you back to shore.

Produced by Alex Storer, with additional production and remix work by Jex Opolis; arranged and mixed by Lexx; mastered by Lopazz; artwork by Studio Van Jensen. Released as a 4-track 12" in an edition of 200 copies with hand-stamped labels plus white sleeve and hype sticker, “Palmy Daze” positions Lexx’s label Unlimited Capacity as an anchor for cosmic Balearic singles.

The "Everyone Has Inside" LP by Gala is released on Do It Yourself and brings together songs that consistently translate the characteristic 90s dance-pop of the act into a timeless, electronically driven sound. The production relies on distinctive synth melodies, catchy hooks, and danceable arrangements that work both in radio rotation and in the club.

Gala, the Italian singer and songwriter who achieved international recognition with hits like "Freed from Desire," showcases on this release her characteristic blend of catchy pop melodies and propulsive dance elements. The record benefits from the involvement of established producers and remixers, specifically Molella and Phil Jay, who add extra electronic edge and remix perspectives to the sound.

The release phases of the title include various versions and mixes; in addition to radio edits there are well-regarded remixes (among them Molella mixes as well as reworkings cataloged as remix versions) that broaden the accessibility of the material for different playback contexts. Recent label announcements also highlight a deluxe reissue, which presents the release again in updated form. Overall, the LP documents Gala as an act that unites pop sensibility with electronic club aesthetics.

Released on If It Aint Jazz, the “If It Aint Jazz Volume 5” 12" by Close Counters is available exclusively on vinyl and limited to 300 copies.

Close Counters, the Australian duo, weaves jazz, disco, and soul with house and broken beat elements into a sound that’s distinctly their own. Notable is the balance between organic grooves and electronic refinement: warm basslines meet distinctive synths and rhythmic fragments, making the tracks work both in the club and across DJ sets.

The A-side brings together two tracks, “Soul to Soul” and “Sunshine,” that reinterpret classic influences. “Soul to Soul” builds on a catchy bass figure, vocal chops, and additional synth layers, rising into an effective disco cut. “Sunshine” transforms a gospel-tinged template into a euphoric anthem with a raw, driving groove that speaks to both house and broken beat fans.

On the B-side, “House of Lucien” and “Bruk of Lucien” deliver two electric grooves that are already making an impact on dancefloors; the extended mixes lean into propulsive percussion and sharply placed breaks. This edition thus embodies the label’s principle of putting quality over quantity and fostering a modern take on jazz and soul roots.

“Pvc09” by The Unknown Artist appears as a 12-inch on the PVC label and continues the “Pirka Vinyl Cuts” series with a new chapter of anonymous reworks. Four tracks are aimed exclusively at the dance floor and are presented here in concentrated form, without naming the original creators.

Musically, the record operates in the realm of funky house tools: rolling grooves, precise drums and allusive sample work form the backbone of the arrangements. The cuts are titled “KINR,” “Ruffneck,” “Sun Goes Back” and “Get Me Down,” and they span a range from rough-edged energy and sun-drenched swing elements to nocturnal soundscapes that function as DJ tools for long blends and peak moments.

Essential to this release is its consistent focus on functionality: tightly structured arrangements and a strong emphasis on danceability make “Pvc09” a pragmatic tool for sets where mixing technique and timing are decisive. As a vinyl-exclusive release, the record falls in line with the previous chapters of the series and documents the anonymous-cuts concept as a curated collection of danceable edit formats.

There is a direct and enduring connection between the roots of Italian electronic music and the underground club culture of today.

Boldly pulling that thread are Marta Paradise, the duo from Martina Franca (Puglia, Italy), who have established themselves as a go-to name for anyone craving an elegant, refined sound that remains unapologetic.

For their latest release, they team up once again with a true legend: Fred Ventura. As one of the most iconic artists of early Italo Disco, Ventura brings an unmistakable vocal timbre that turns every track into an instant classic.

The result of this cross-generational collaboration is Call In The Night, a track that bridges authentic Italian heritage with the sharpest edges of modern Indie Dance. It delivers everything discerning clubbers live for: shimmering synths cutting through the dark, an octave-driven bassline that locks you to the dancefloor and a nocturnal, dreamy, relentlessly catchy vocal line.

Elevating the package even further is a stellar remix package featuring some of the hottest names on the current circuit, including Mystery Friend, Day Ventura, the unmistakable touch of the legendary Flemming Dalum, and Slow Motion label boss Franz Scala.

Far from a simple nostalgia exercise, Call In The Night is a forward-looking journey with a vintage soul that never falls into cheap clichés. Past and present merge to set the world’s most visionary DJ booths ablaze.

The "More Jobermi" 12" by Bisou is released on G.A.M.M. and was described as almost instantly sold‑out as soon as it was announced, a sign of the strong demand for the direction of the project as presented on the label. The record deliberately leans into bright, sun‑drenched tones and combines danceable arrangements with a pronounced groove.

Musically, Bisou draws on elements of steel‑band funk and Afro‑disco, which emerge in the execution as reimagined reworks. Striking percussion, well‑placed horn sections, and melodic basslines create a warm, uplifting mood; the interplay of these components gives the tracks a summery drive that works both on the dancefloor and in a home setup.

Characteristic of the project is the fusion of retro‑inspired disco formulas with modern production approaches, making familiar motifs sound fresh and energetic. The "More Jobermi" 12" thus offers a concentrated dose of feel‑good funk: arranged with an ear for groove‑focused hooks and danceable breaks, without slipping into mindless repetition. For fans of sunlit disco sounds, Bisou delivers a cohesive chapter in the G.A.M.M. catalog.

"Maxi Maximal Volume 2" by SIRS will be released in June 2026 on the Sirsounds label and continues the series in 12-inch format. The concept remains deliberately simple: existing, effective elements are extended and rearranged so that the tracks have more room to breathe and can unfold over longer running times. The production emphasizes clarity and a structure suited to long DJ sets.

Musically, SIRS moves between disco, synth-pop, and Balearic: familiar melodies are transformed through new arrangements into a more modern, DJ-oriented context. Daniel Klein, the man behind the project name SIRS, draws on a clear DJ perspective to shape transitions, basslines, and string pads so that they work both in club play and in a flowing mix. The working method emphasizes spaciousness and the build-up of tension without sacrificing the core of the originals.

The fact that the release is supported by DJ Harvey underscores its focus on playability and tasteful selection; early DJ support also signals that the tracks are geared toward professional mixing. Overall, "Maxi Maximal Volume 2" represents a consistent continuation of the series: not a search for rarities, but the precise magnification of familiar moments for modern use behind the decks.

The “Edits Collection 9” 12-inch by CoFlo, released on Edits Collection, brings the producer’s characteristic edit aesthetic to vinyl in distilled form. In his reworks, CoFlo blends deep house elements with Afro-Latin rhythms, jazzy influences, and organic percussion while preserving the musicality of the original recordings. The artist’s clear signature emerges in rhythmic shifts and subtle harmonic nuances that give the underlying songs new contours without overpowering their melodic substance.

On “Edits Collection 9,” CoFlo focuses on careful reduction and textural subtleties: understated percussion details meet warm, rounded basslines and restrained harmonic progressions, giving each version its own arc of tension and release. The release on Edits Collection underscores the intention to reinterpret familiar motifs with respect while delivering fresh, instantly recognizable variations. In concise, tightly focused edit arrangements, CoFlo manages to maintain the original mood and at the same time open up new rhythmic perspectives, making “Edits Collection 9” a coherent addition to the series.

Layne & Chang are long-established fixtures in the underground. Chang was tipped by Urb magazine as one to watch in the mid-'90s. Layne Fox brings deep disco credentials having helmed the cult-loved Disco Dimensions label and recording as 40 Thieves. Dan Tyler, as one half of the Idjut Boys and co-founder of Noid Recordings, contributes two cosmic reworks on the B-side. "Shake Your Body" opens with a locked-in, funk-driven groove — swirling melodic lines, subtly acidic textures, warm vocoder touches, and tight, punchy drums.

Released on Pinkman, the LP “Manrira Special Edition” by Ambassade comes as a limited special edition on yellow flame vinyl and includes a poster and stickers. Aimed at collectors and listeners who value packaging and accompanying materials, this edition emphasizes both the visual and tactile qualities of the release.

At the center of “Manrira” is the human voice as a sonic and spatial event; Ambassade develops an audiovisual concept in which voice, body, and architecture interact with one another. Musically, the work moves between song-oriented passages and extended structures, weaving live bass, neoclassical elements, ethereal vocals, drum machines, breaks, and techno-oriented textures into a cohesive soundscape. This balance of organic and digital layers shapes the character of the album.

Ambassade, a project originating from Amsterdam, links its earlier Coldwave and minimal synth influences in “Manrira” with a stronger focus on experimental and techno-informed arrangements. The album contains eleven tracks and was preceded by the single “The Influencer Accent,” which already offers a glimpse into its dense, uncannily familiar sonic world. The special edition makes this work tangible as a physical LP and underlines the central role of the voice within the project.
