Neurosis will play their first show in seven years on the traditional lands of the Blackfeet Nation in Montana as part of Fire in the Mountains festival by special invitation of Firekeeper Alliance, a non-profit dedicated to reducing youth suicide in Indian Country.

Produced with Andrew Wyatt and mixed by Dave Fridmann, the album expands the familiar Interpol vocabulary with new textures: synthesizers, strings, acoustic guitars, and additional percussion are woven organically into the arrangements, deepening its language of restraint, atmosphere, and tension without sacrificing the band's identity. At the center remains the creative trio of Paul Banks, Daniel Kessler, and Sam Fogarino, whose intuitive alignment after nearly three decades continues to generate new possibilities.

The double single "This Mirror Weighs A Ton" / "See Out Loud" plays with duality: the title track grows from a skeletal progression into a sprawling, textured piece with distorted bass and a wordless female vocal, while "See Out Loud" carries the DNA of earlier Interpol work—sharp, forward-driving, and featuring an unusual lead vocal role from Kessler. Meanwhile, Die Sterne open their third album with the song "Scheiß auf deutsche Texte" (Screw German Lyrics). This title isn't provocation for provocation's sake—it’s a statement of intent. It’s not the language that counts, but what is being said. And what Die Sterne have to say on *Posen* is so substantial, so clever, and so captivating that it sent the country's music press into a frenzy of enthusiasm: *Musikexpress* awarded it five stars, the *Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung* found itself poring over the lyric sheet, and there was a universal consensus that Die Sterne had "never been as valuable as they are today." *Posen* is the third album from the Hamburg band led by singer and lyricist Frank Spilker—and their most mature work to date. "Déjà Vu" is the title track to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's first album as a quartet. With Neil Young now in the mix, the album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after its release in March 1970. The album remains a high point for the supergroup, having sold more than 7 million copies. Also on the record are hit singles "Teach Your Children," "Our House," and a cover of Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock."

The late David Crosby penned "Déjà Vu" for the group. Though it wasn't released as a single, it gave that iconic album its name and has subsequently received its fair share of love from CSNY fans.

"I'm one of those people who thinks we go round again," said Crosby back in 2008. "The Buddhists have got it right. It's a wheel and we get on and get off. I think life energy gets recycled. That's why I wrote ‘Déjà Vu.'"

CSNY took a while to craft the album-which is largely considered their magnum opus. "Getting that second album out of us was like pulling teeth, there was song after song that didn't make it," Stephen Stills once said. "The track ‘Déjà Vu' must have meant 100 takes in the studio. But ‘Carry On' happened in a grand total of eight hours from conception to finished master. So you never know."

In Rainbows, as a title, implies a sense of comfort and delightfulness. Symbolically, rainbows are more likely to be associated with kittens and warm blankets than the grim and glum circumstances Radiohead is known for soundtracking. There's a slight, if expected, twist at play. The band is more than familiar with the unpleasant moods associated with colors like red, green, and blue -- all of which, of course, are colors within a rainbow -- all of which are present, and even mentioned, during the album. On a couple levels, then, In Rainbows is not any less fitting as a Radiohead album title than "Myxomatosis" is as a Radiohead song title. Despite references to "going off the rails," hitting "the bottom," getting "picked over by the worms," being "dead from the neck up," and feeling "trapped" (twice), along with Radiohead Wordplay Deluxe Home Edition pieces like "comatose" and "nightmare" -- in the same song! double score! -- the one aspect of the album that becomes increasingly perceptible with each listen is how romantic it feels, albeit in the way that one might find the bioport scenes in David Cronenberg's eXistenZ to be extremely hot and somewhat unsettling. Surprisingly, some of the album's lyrics are even more personal/universal and straightforward than anything on The Eraser, the album made by Thom Yorke and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. "I'm an animal trapped in your hot car," from "All I Need," has to be one of the saddest, most open-hearted metaphors used to express unrequited love. "House of Cards" begins with "I don't want to be your friend/I just want to be your lover/No matter how it ends/No matter how it starts," and the one with the worms includes "I'd be crazy not to follow/Follow where you lead/Your eyes/They turn me." This effective weaving of disparate elements -- lyrical expressions commonly associated with the band, mixed in with ones suited for everyday love ballads -- goes for the music as well. The album is very song-oriented, with each track constantly moving forward and developing, yet there are abstract electronic layers and studio-as-instrument elements to prevent it from sounding like a regression. In Rainbows will hopefully be remembered as Radiohead's most stimulating synthesis of accessible songs and abstract sounds, rather than their first pick-your-price download. - allmusic.com

The "Dopesmoker" LP by Sleep is being released on Third Man and brings together the project’s central, roughly 63‑minute composition, which was already recorded in 1996 and circulated in various versions before it became widely known as Dopesmoker. The Third Man edition uses a new master created by Carl Saff from the original master tapes, which clearly brings out the rich depth of the guitar riffs.

Musically, Sleep operate in a borderland between stoner and doom metal: endlessly unfolding, lumbering riffs, low‑tuned amps, and Al Cisneros’s monotone, spoken‑chant vocals define the compositional structure. The piece’s architecture relies on repetitive motifs and subtle variations that lend the work its meditative heaviness and emphasize the epic character of this single long track.

Third Man supplements the remaster with extensive bonus material: the “green kush” LPs pressed exclusively for the Vault package, previously unreleased takes, a studio recording of the long‑lost track "Hot Lava Man," as well as a 7" featuring a radio version and an abridged take on the main theme expand the set. In parallel, a special “Weedian High‑Fi” deluxe pressing was issued, in which real cannabis leaves were artfully embedded into the vinyl and which was offered exclusively at the Third Man store in Detroit.

For the recordings, Sleep themselves and Billy Anderson were responsible for tracking and mixing; the Third Man edition continues this production tradition and, with the new mastering, presents a documentary‑precise sonic portrait of the band.

The purple vinyl edition of the Faithless Street LP by Whiskeytown is being released on Outpost and brings the band’s early work to the vinyl format in a color-accented pressing.

Faithless Street documents Whiskeytown’s early blend of Americana, alternative country, and raw rock energy; the record combines simple yet striking guitar lines, fiddle-driven harmonies, and intimate, often vulnerable lyrics. Ryan Adams’s songwriting comes through in concise melodies and direct imagery, while Caitlin Cary adds sonic depth with her fiddle and harmony vocals. Phil Wandscher, Eric “Skillet” Gilmore, and Steve Grothmann shape the rhythmic, guitar-oriented foundation that gives the songs an organic, down-to-earth feel.

The recordings were made in 1995 in the band’s home region and were reworked for the later Outpost reissue; Chris Stamey handled engineering, mixing, and production, playing a key role in the tight yet warm overall sound. The Outpost edition added extra tracks from the sessions, turning the release into a comprehensive look at Whiskeytown’s formative phase.

The legendary “Chinatown Live” stereo version, discovered after 50 years, is finally here. Recorded at Dohatsu Shinkan on May 8, 1976, it will now be released on LP for the first time. A Chinatown pop-up event has also been confirmed.

Led by Haruomi Hosono, Tin Pan Alley performed this legendary live show on May 8, 1976, at Dohatsu Shinkan, a long-established Chinese restaurant in Yokohama Chinatown. The recording, which captures the atmosphere of that night in vivid detail, has been revived as a stereo mix half a century later.

For this release, engineer Goh Hotoda has created a new mix and mastering based on the newly discovered stereo master. Please enjoy this wonderful mix, which brings out the atmosphere and presence of the venue at the time, on analog. A live recording from one unforgettable night, still shining after 50 years, is finally being released on LP.
