The N44-7 DJ SD stylus, manufactured in Japan, is crisp and clear in the higher frequencies. At the same time, with strong bass, powerful and distinctive, it rounds off a lively, powerful, and dynamic sound image. This stylus is perfectly suited for scratching and beat juggling applications, e.g., with control vinyls. JICO “SD” stylus needles are made entirely of synthetic diamonds. Synthetic diamonds (SD) are artificially produced diamonds that have the same chemical composition, crystal structure, optical/physical properties, and hardness as natural diamonds (ND). Natural diamonds vary in hardness due to their natural formation, while synthetic diamonds offer the advantage of consistent hardness. The SD tips are conical in shape. Their guaranteed playing time has been set at 200 hours.

The JICO N-44 7 DJ SD replacement stylus is suitable for the JICO J44A-7 system and, as a replica, also suitable for the Shure M447 pickup system.
