The Story of Studio About…

Studio About was founded in Denmark in 2018 by Soffy Dombernowsky and Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen. Studio About emerged from the two founders’ shared passion for design, architecture, and visual presentation. While Soffy, as a photographer, brings a trained eye for composition and color, Mikkel, as an architect, complements the duo with a strong understanding of form, space, and construction.

Studio About’s origins lie in a student project by Mikkel, in which he worked with hand-blown glass domes. This experiment led to the development of Studio About’s first collection, the so-called Hanging Bubbles. These glass vases quickly became Studio About’s signature piece and laid the foundation for the brand’s international success.
