The "Unknown Pleasures EP" by DJ Honesty has been released as a 12" on No Speakers and brings together three concise, striking cuts that showcase the range of his skills. A regular fixture on labels like Bass Culture, Scenario, and Cabinet, DJ Honesty channels his extensive musical experience and keen ear for grooves into this release.

The title track "Unknown Pleasures" opens with an eerie, floating atmosphere that leaves room for subtle arcs of tension. "Gomma Natural" shifts the focus toward dub aesthetics: dreamy echoes and stripped‑back, perfectly timed bass swells create a subdued yet powerful feel. "Noneties," by contrast, leans on broken beats and a bruk‑style low‑end approach that highlights the EP’s rhythmic diversity. Overall, DJ Honesty fuses bass music, broken beat, and dub techno into a cohesive, nuanced soundscape.

Adding extra drive is a remix by Arkajo, head of the label of the same name and known as one half of the duo Genius of Time, who turns "Unknown Pleasures" into a peak‑time roller. Arkajo’s version takes the original’s ghostly elements and transforms them into a high‑energy club version, making the EP work equally well for laid‑back, soul‑soothing listening sessions and dance‑floor‑oriented sets.

Released on Time Is Now, the “Masha” 12" by Frazer Ray presents four compact cuts that are deliberately stripped back, translating the proto-/future-garage concept into a clearly defined, dancefloor-oriented form. According to the announcement, the EP comprises four tracks with a focused, forward-facing approach: reduced arrangements, sketch-like melodic lines, and an emphasis on rhythmic precision create space for tight breaks and deep bass figures, with elements of 2-step, UK funky, and bassline coming together in a lean production aesthetic. With this, “Masha” targets DJs who are looking for clearly structured, ready-to-drop 12" cuts without sacrificing surprising textural detail.

Frazer Ray (formerly Soundbwoy Killah) once again steps forward as a producer on Time Is Now with “Masha,” having worked for over a decade across different currents of the British bass and garage scene. His discography includes releases on labels such as Ninja Tune’s Technicolour, Sneaker Social Club, Locked On, and ATW Records; the new 12" adds a concise, future-oriented entry to this continuum. The combination of stripped-back arrangement and driving bass work positions “Masha” as a consistent evolution of Frazer Ray’s output to date.

The 12" “Hardline17” by various artists on Hardline brings together four precisely crafted club tracks that deliver on the motto “Everything you need to get the club going.” House influences run through the selection, linking classic groove elements with contemporary club aesthetics; tempo and bass are geared toward filling sets and driving dance floors.

On the record, Digghead & Hippie contribute “Sky Searching,” a driving, shuffle‑accented track; Mazri adds “Ooo Boy,” a bass‑oriented house cut; Bob G delivers an energetic groove with “Movin’,” and Yoke rounds out the release with “Hard To Get.” The compilation spans a spectrum from garage and house leanings through to technoid club textures without ever becoming overbearing.

Key features of the 12" are the compact track selection and the clear production aesthetic: artwork by Henry Wallis, mastering by Optimum, and distribution via One Eye Witness. The pressing is limited to 300 hand‑stamped 12" copies, giving the release a direct connection to club culture and physical DJ practice.

The 12" “Gi Mi Keys Back / Auto Fake” by Blawan, released on XL, marks the producer’s return to more dancefloor-oriented forms after the album “SickElixir.” The two-track release apparently came together in a new city and a new home studio; even its making-of situation is reflected in an unforced approach that combines freedom and a spirit of experimentation. Blawan remains clearly present as the sole creator, audibly shifting his focus from inward, intimate arrangements toward direct club functionality.

Musically, the record sits between garage, 2Step, UK funky and bassline, showcasing a distinctive interplay of dysfunctional rhythms and rhythmic precision. “Gi Mi Keys Back” works with distorted, shifting structures that keep sending the listener down false trails, while a suggestive vocal line pulls things into trance-like zones. “Auto Fake” complements the A-side as a compact counterpart cut, rounding off the concept of the two-tracker. The first track was premiered on BBC 6 Music by Nick Grimshaw; the digital release dropped on September 25, 2026, with the physical 12" to follow on November 13, 2026 on XL.

Freerange Sounds - which shouldn't be confused with Jimpster's deep house label Freerange - is reissuing its first release from back in May 2022 here. It's a dark garage outing from 9trane that kicks off with 'Keep It Moving' (feat Riko Dan) with edgy vocals, late-night urban menace and some crisp drum patterns. The fantastic Bakey dub mix brings more pruning basslines and withering pads while the instrumental is stripped back and more haunting. Last of all is 'Hear This' which leans on the Burial style of ghostly production but with a more fulsome low-end and prickly percussive brew riding the beats. Serious tackle for sure.

Do You Want Me Baby sees Cloud 9 deliver a timeless garage house cut from New York legend Victor Simonelli, returning on fresh 12” vinyl.

Built around uplifting piano lines, soulful vocal hooks and groove-driven rhythms, the track captures the feel-good energy of classic US garage house and remains a staple for DJs across house and garage sets.

Featuring a full suite of mixes including Club Mix, Deep Dub, Bonus Beats and Instrumental, the release offers strong versatility for DJs looking for both peak-time energy and stripped-back club tools.

With a sound rooted firmly in the New York house tradition, this release sits comfortably alongside artists such as Masters At Work, Todd Terry and Kenny Dope, making it a natural fit for stores supporting classic US house and garage.

Back on fresh 12" vinyl, this iconic track continues to resonate with both long-time collectors and a new generation of DJs.

A reliable and highly playable catalogue piece for stores supporting classic house and garage.

The 12" “Mindhelmet 26,” released on Mindhelmet in April 2026, brings together five tracks by Leon. The record features “Pacific,” “Disconnected,” “Do This Shit For Fun,” “Let Me Smoke,” and “Watch The Sky.” Information on the label side and from retailers confirms the running order; according to the label, digital editions will only follow once the physical stock has sold out.

Musically, “Mindhelmet 26” sits at the intersection of UK garage-soaked rhythm patterns, house-leaning basslines, and techno-tinged soundscapes. Leon uses punchy percussion and sharply defined groove elements to shift between driving club moments and more open, breathing electronics. Melodic fragments and subtle textures provide structure without diluting the release’s rhythmic focus.

The EP slots into the ongoing MINDHELMET series from the London label and underlines its focus on contemporary club music. This 12" is aimed at DJs and collectors looking for fresh, dance floor-ready output from the London scene. According to the label, the physical edition is the priority; Mindhelmet states that digital downloads are offered as a supplement.

Released on Programm Ldn, the “The Moon Belongs To You” 12" by Oscar Later is the solo project of a member of Once Twice, previously known as Parallels. Across six tracks, the EP takes as its starting point the premise of the 1967 Outer Space Treaty, which states that no nation may claim the moon, and links this idea to breakbeat-driven rhythms, shimmering synths, processed vocals, and samples from vintage commercials and obscure films. Oscar Later wanted myth, commercial promises, and space-age optimism to collide; that field of tension shapes the arrangements.

Opener “Air Time for Andre” works with chopped-up breaks and found audio. “Wenlocked,” named after an East London street, evolves from downtempo into a bassline-driven club track. “It Never Made Sense” steps away from the dance floor, building around a granulated Orion Sun vocal and recalling Burial and Overmono in mood. Title track “The Moon Belongs To You” sets a vocoded ’90s commercial over a detuned one-note synth. “Yaya” is a straight-ahead techno cut with a tightly stepped bassline; closer “That's Quite A Lot Of Zeroes!” grows from a Buchla line into a sample-driven, sci‑fi‑tinged crescendo.

The artwork by Will Millner and Josh Lowe pays tribute to space food and ’80s industrial design; the record comes as a vacuum‑packed 12". Coinciding with the release is a music video for “It Never Made Sense,” directed by Louis Mackay, which tells the story of a group of children who claim the moon for themselves.

Released on Pineapple, the “Niche Flex” 12" by Sam Binga, Machinedrum, and Cesco presents four lean, dancefloor-focused cuts that emerged from an unusually fast-paced collaboration. The three producers sketched the core ideas together in a single morning in Los Angeles, transforming live Bingerian vocals, gritty Brazilian street recordings, and jagged acid lines into the bare‑bones skeletons that later evolved into full arrangements.

The result is a clear, cross-genre statement somewhere between UK garage, 2-step, UK funky, and bassline: “Niche Flex” balances syncopated UK grooves with bass-heavy accents and deliberately stripped-back yet impactful sound elements. The four tracks have been tested on club and festival floors around the world and also highlight the duo’s ability to function as a live DJ team — an aspect already demonstrated at Pineapple events in Los Angeles. The artwork and production focus squarely on immediate dancefloor impact, while Pineapple positions the project as part of its ongoing program of collaborative releases.

The 12-inch release "L.O.V.E." on Happiness Therapy by Strandtuch condenses the driving house sound of the Parisian producer and positions itself stylistically between house, garage, and tech house. Electronic basslines meet precisely placed percussion elements, while synth-based, slightly trance-inflected motifs appear throughout the arrangements. The compact structures are geared toward impact in DJ sets, yet still leave room for melodic moments and rhythmic subtleties.

Strandtuch, a Paris-based producer, describes his work as "Power House," blending influences from acid, ghetto house, and trance into a distinctive sonic identity. Previous releases on Happiness Therapy have already showcased this mix and reveal a preference for clear tonalities and high-energy builds; earlier vinyl and digital editions also name specific cutting and mastering partners. This approach continues on "L.O.V.E." while remaining open to varying tempos and textures.

Specific collaborators, extensive production credits, and a complete track listing are not detailed in the publicly available information on the release. Those who want to get an impression can find it via retailer and label pages that list "L.O.V.E." as the artist’s new 12-inch.

The Duke Ya Love To Hate relies on distinctive grooves and driving low-end patterns that emphasize the rhythmic focus of these styles, while jagged percussion elements and syncopated accents come together in dense, dancefloor-oriented arrangements. Cold Diggin’ presents the release as a concise 12-inch that can make an immediate impact both on the dancefloor and in DJ sets. The two cuts have a clear structure and leave room for dynamics, allowing the production to be effective both within sets and as standalone tracks.

The “Swarm” 12-inch by Main Phase and TSVI, released on ATW, brings together three driving tracks that deliberately lean into percussive, left-leaning club aesthetics. On “Spirit,” “Antz,” and “Nectar,” Main Phase and TSVI combine pinpoint-precise rhythms with jagged production details; the result is a compact, high-energy EP cycle that fuses club-ready impulses with experimental moments.

Musically, the release operates in the tension between garage, 2-step, UK funky, and bassline, with all three cuts structured around off-kilter percussion, deep sub-bass lines, and fragmentary sound arrangements. The arrangements place short, striking motifs side by side and leave room for dynamic shifts, allowing the 12-inch to unfold its impact both in DJ sets and during intense club moments. “Swarm” thus documents a collaborative approach by two producers who deconstruct and reconstruct familiar club forms without sacrificing immediate dancefloor effectiveness.

Musically, the Miami duo blends influences from tech house, garage, and Miami bass with Latin American club rhythms; characteristic elements include sinuous grooves, dub‑style echo manipulations, and a pronounced Latin touch in the percussion and arrangements. The production focuses on deep basslines, offset hi‑hat patterns, and sparse pads, making the tracks both danceable and atmospheric while revealing their roots in early, groove‑oriented club traditions.

As a physical edition, the album has been pressed as a 12" on black vinyl and comes in a matte sleeve with a washed lilac texture. Written, produced, and mixed by INVT; mastered at Analogcut Mastering, with distribution handled by Clone. For all INVT releases, this record points listeners to the project’s Bandcamp channel.

Released as a 12" on Next-Gen Hardcore, Next-Gen Hardcore 3 showcases the next level of creativity from various artists while, for the most part, staying true to their signature styles. The compilation brings together representatives of a modern hardcore scene that fuses classic gabber and hardcore impulses with contemporary production aesthetics, keeping a clear focus on rhythm, tempo, and sound design. Hallmarks include powerful, often distorted kick drums, prominent basslines, and aggressive synth stabs, contrasted with breakbeat elements and carefully placed vocal samples.

The record emphasizes direct, club-ready arrangements; short, punchy tracks alternate with longer, more slowly building cuts in which layering and dynamic mastering techniques come to the fore. Different artists reveal different approaches to the same basic sound: some rely on sheer directness and raw energy, while others work in more detail with effects, tempo shifts, and post-industrial textures.

Next-Gen Hardcore as a label functions here as a platform for up-and-coming producers, channeling the genre’s stylistic range into a physical 12" designed both for club use and as a documentary snapshot of a current scene.

Musically, “Hausdogs002” sits at the intersection of garage, 2-step, UK funky, and bassline; the tracks rely on syncopated beat patterns and striking bass figures that work both in DJ sets and for club play. The release appeared as a vinyl-plus-digital edition; the vinyl-based version is listed as sold out on the artist page. Mastering was handled by Cameron (Optimum Mastering Studio, Bristol), with artwork by Chloe Lancaster.

The concise running time of the individual tracks makes the 12-inch a focused tool for DJs and collectors alike.

The LP "Nu-S3rvo Volume 2," released on Nu-S3rvo, is the label’s second compilation and brings together contributions from seven producers from Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. The collection assembles tracks by Coil Sprite, Xiaolin (ft. Eli), Kaishandao, Heiyuen, Cocoonics, COLA REN, and Fishdoll, spanning a spectrum from ambient and bass to IDM and techno.

At the heart of the selection is an explicit focus on female creative voices within the local scene; the curation thus deliberately foregrounds regional perspectives and technical idiosyncrasies. Sonically, the tracks work with finely wrought sound architecture, textural layers, and pinpoint rhythmic cuts, placing traditional motifs and contemporary electronics in a novel relationship. Vocals and sampled fragments occasionally enter as additional compositional elements, dissolving familiar formulas in favor of an open, finely grained gesturality of sound.

"Nu-S3rvo Volume 2" reads as a precise cross-section of current East Asian electronic music production: the compilation documents not only the stylistic range between ambient textures and danceable bass, but also the label’s curatorial intent to foster a decentralized, distinctive sonic language. The release connects directly to the programmatic orientation of the first volume and extends its explorations toward a stronger, more polyphonic presence of local producers.

The A-side opens with Versa & Rowl – “If You (Rowl’s Grey Skies Remix),” followed by the heavyweight 2-step roller “Signal,” while the B-side is led by “Sierra,” featuring Bristol vocalist P.A.B MC, and the record includes an exclusive instrumental version of “Sierra.” Vinyl cutting and mastering were handled by Beau Thomas at Ten Eight Seven, with the bass frequencies specifically optimized for vinyl playback. Early DJ feedback and support from within the scene confirm the club-readiness of individual tracks without diluting the quiet, detailed moments of the production.

According to the label, the edition once again gathers widely celebrated bangers and anthems from the scene and includes both originals and exclusive remix versions tailored to the season’s dancefloor programmers. Released on !K7, the “Gradients” 12" by Kassian is the third EP from London duo Warren Cummings and Joe Danvers and serves as a bridge between their debut album “Channels,” released in 2025, and their second full-length, announced for 2027. Across four tracks, the duo consciously leans into live performance in the studio: the cuts were developed and recorded using hardware, a working method that points directly toward their first fully live show planned for 2027 and generates the spontaneous, unpredictable textures that emerge from a jam-oriented approach.

Musically, “Gradients” combines club-focused energy with melodic finesse; powerful drums and bass-heavy low mids meet delicate hooks and striking vocal fragments that bring light into an otherwise dense club atmosphere. Opener “Blush” builds on warm, clear melodic arcs over a fast tech house groove, while “Ritmo” arrives as a powerful, springy club track. “Inner Dance” is defined by stuttering percussion and spacious rhythms that play with vocal nods to sound system traditions, and “Sweat” lingers as the most effervescent cut, with velvety whispered vocals and a tautly defined low end. With “Gradients,” Kassian deliver a finely crafted, dance-oriented snapshot that ushers in the duo’s next step in their evolution.

Released on Moonshine, the “Goodman” 12" by Dubbing Sun and Baptiste deliberately fuses elements of Garage, 2Step, UK Funky, and Bassline, leaning into dancefloor-ready rhythms and distinctive basslines. On the record, powerful, contemporary-sounding beats alternate with spacious dub textures; the main version lays the groundwork, while the “Goodman Remix” version contributed by Dubbing Sun and Baptiste themselves introduces a slightly shifted bass emphasis and additional layers of percussion that recalibrate the theme.

Rounding out the release are Sekkleman takes on the tune: “Goodman (Sekkleman Remix)” and “Goodman (Sekkleman Dub)” pull further into dub aesthetics. The remix works with sampled fragments and driving breaks, while the dub version strips back melodic elements in favor of extended echo and spatial effects. Overall, “Goodman” on Moonshine presents a concise 12-inch statement that links the aforementioned UK club styles and appeals to both DJs and listeners seeking varied, remix-driven bass tracks.

The "Empyrean EP" 12" by Nemo Vachez is released on Dead Letters Press and at the same time marks the launch of his new imprint. As a French producer, Nemo Vachez uses this release to crystallize the stylistic direction of his project: a precise synthesis of house, UK garage and industrial elements that uses the 12" format as a concentrated sonic vessel.

The EP’s four tracks move between hypnotic grooves, eerie melodies and crushing guitar textures, with tension and contrast operating as guiding principles. Characteristic of the sound is the balance between danceable rhythmic patterns and a raw, almost mechanical atmosphere; the arrangements resist easy categorization and instead unfold a dense, multi-layered sense of dynamics. Emotional intensity and cool detachment keep each other in balance, resulting in surprising twists within the tracks.

As his debut for Dead Letters Press, the "Empyrean EP" makes a strong statement: Nemo Vachez links a club-oriented sensibility with experimental density while showing how electronic forms and instrumental aggression can merge into a distinct sonic language. The release underscores his ambition to move beyond familiar reference points and establish an idiosyncratic, unmistakable style.

The record presents house moods with a clear club focus, relying on grooving rhythms, warm keyboard figures, and arrangements conceived for both DJ sets and longer floor sessions.

In recent years, Baka G has steadily refined her musical signature and is regarded within the label as a defining presence; her work blends elements of garage, tribal groove, soulful melodies, and disco-leaning motifs. On “Diva Morgabine,” Marius Acke complements the original version with a remix that gives the title track an added burst of 1990s-tinged energy and adds a remix dimension to the EP format. Overall, the 12" stands for a focused, club-oriented continuation of Baka G’s work to date on Happiness Therapy.

The “Lodubs-1226037” 12" released on LoDubs by Modi Bardo maintains a consistently strong focus on atmosphere and depth. An alumnus of Moonshine Recordings, Modi Bardo presents on the A-side a composition that feels primordial and deeply rooted in its sonic character, serving as the tonal blueprint for the B-side. The production relies on wide, stretched-out delay, subsonic bass foundations, and sparingly placed percussion, creating a clear sense of space and establishing a meditative framework.

On the B-side, “Lodubs-1226037” shifts its emphasis: here dub techno meets half-time structures and elements of autonomic DnB, without relinquishing its connection to classic dub principles. Play with tempo and spatial imaging generates surprising transitions in which distinctive breaks collide with atmospheric textures, while the bass work remains the musical center. This 12" on LoDubs presents Modi Bardo as a creator who translates traditional dub techniques into new rhythmic contexts, thereby expanding sonic space.

With clear arrangements and focused dynamics, “Lodubs-1226037” on LoDubs positions itself as a striking reference point within modern dub techno productions; Modi Bardo audibly extends the palette of reflective dub approaches.

Released on Judder, the “Judder Vinyl Series Volume 2” 12" compilation marks the second installment of the vinyl series and brings together four independent contributions from contemporary bass culture. On side A, Amor Satyr ventures into dubstep territory for the first time, delivering a dark, powerful track that expands the series into a deeper frequency dimension. Immediately afterward, Thematic and Nattah contribute “Aurora Pulse,” a coolly contoured, stripped-back piece of leftfield bass at 130 BPM that builds atmosphere through precise arrangement and sparingly deployed effects.

On the B-side, different rhythmic approaches collide: Dawn RAzor and Mani Festo provide “Awared,” a track in which technoid energy and breakbeat structures interlock to create a taut, driving collaboration. The record closes with “Lockjaw” by Kahter and Mercy System, a soundsystem-oriented slow burner that features broken, tribal-leaning rhythms and layered bass work. The selection on “Judder Vinyl Series Volume 2” reflects Judder’s curatorial interest in the borderlands between garage, 2-step, UK funky, and bassline, offering a compact, stylistically distinctive snapshot of that scene on 12".

Released on Trucha Soul, the “Dioses Tribales” LP by various artists brings together a selection of key voices from the Mexican tribal scene and is conceived as a curated compilation by Rosa Pistola. Produced in collaboration by Sabotaje Media, Trucha Soul Records, and La Chekera Records, the record understands itself as a physical archive that connects different generations, regions, and artistic perspectives.

Musically, the compilation moves in the tension between driving club rhythms and folk-inflected percussion patterns: fast, syncopated grooves, pinpoint vocal samples, and deliberately placed percussion elements shape the signature tribal sound, which appears here in different variants. Names such as Ricardo Reyna, DJ Mouse, Freebot, Alfonso Luna, and Clap Freckles show up on the tracklist and offer a sense of the stylistic breadth, ranging from ritually charged dance motifs to street-oriented club cuts.

As documentation, “Dioses Tribales” is less a curatorial snapshot than a connecting line: the sequencing and selection work in a narrative way by placing historical references alongside contemporary productions, thereby tracing the genre’s evolution. In doing so, the LP offers a focused insight into the aesthetics and producer landscape of Mexico’s tribal scene and positions itself as a reference point within this emerging canon.

The “Foglore#2” 12" released on Stones Taro by Stones Taro continues the self-released series, merging dubby, foggy sound design with a timeless aura reminiscent of ancient folklore. On this record, Stones Taro explores the tension between Garage, 2-Step, UK Funky, and Bassline, linking punchy bass figures with airy pads and precise percussion programming. The arrangements work with spatial depth and subtle dynamics; textures and rhythmic fragments shift so that dense sections dissolve organically into more open, atmospheric moments.

The four tracks showcase the range of the concept: “Weather Wheel” relies on chopped-up breakbeats that melt into misty, atmospheric pads, while “Moss Pulse” forges a direct bridge between dub techno and dubstep. “Whorls Of Smoke” uses a half-step groove and distinctive tom strikes that give the piece a springy yet driving momentum. “Acid Fog Ritual” combines sticky acid basslines with deep psychedelia, creating an intense, trance-like pull. As a self-released 12" on Stones Taro, “Foglore#2” presents a coherent vision of sound-driven production and focused bass aesthetics that unfolds its full effect both in a club context and in attentive, dedicated listening.

Released on Time Is Now, the Peaches 12" by J Wax comprises four tracks that fuse garage, 2-step, UK funky, and bassline into tight, dancefloor-oriented arrangements. The title track, "Peaches," opens the record with a striking diva vocal laid over a driving bassline that creates tension from the start. "Shift" brings RUA.DJ on board as a feature, combining speed garage impulses with swelling, trance-like chords, while "Soul Movement" is conceived as a big, full-scale club cut. The record closes with "Smokin view," which taps into darker shades of house and crisp off-beat hooks.

The production deliberately leans on rolling basslines, concise percussion, and expansive synth pads, merging traditional garage grooves with modern bassline elements. Time Is Now presents Peaches as a statement EP whose tempo shifts and finely crafted breakdowns generate a strong dramatic arc. Across the 12", J Wax showcases a precise balance between danceable rhythms and melodic build-ups, allowing the release to carve out its own distinct, coherent voice at the intersection of UK club culture and contemporary bass music.

The “Notoriously Suave / Snoopin Around” 12" released on Ec2a presents two sharply defined tracks: “Notoriously Suave” and “Snoopin Around.” On this 12", Hirobbie relies on focused arrangements that fuse house and deep house elements, pairing a pronounced low end with punctuated percussion. Both cuts are tailored for the vinyl format and, through their structure, offer immediate entry points for DJ sets without sacrificing musical detail.

Musically, “Notoriously Suave” moves between rolling basslines and subtly placed harmonic accents, while “Snoopin Around” makes use of syncopated patterns and a slightly airier top end. With this release, Ec2a underscores Hirobbie’s production talent: clear, club-ready grooves meet carefully placed nuances that come to life in the mix. For fans of house and deep house, the “Notoriously Suave / Snoopin Around” 12" is a distinctive entry that brings Hirobbie’s style clearly into focus and carries the label’s signature forward in a coherent way.

The 12" “Context” by DJ Jackum, released on Hotflush, brings together six tracks that present the artist’s sound in a compressed, focused form. Written and produced by Jack Midgley, the material ranges from driving 4/4 heaters to classic 2-step grooves and bass-heavy, dubstep-adjacent moments; in doing so, “Context” connects elements of garage, 2-step, UK funky and bassline into a cohesive whole. The tracklist — including “Floo,” “Clip Empty,” “Take Your Body Higher,” “Prang,” “Step Up” and “STFU” — maintains a clear club focus without repeating formulas.

Behind the pink balaclava persona is a producer whose tracks repeatedly appear in the sets of major DJs and have a strong impact on dance floors; several cuts from the record have already been heard in DJ circles and in the sets of well-known scene DJs. “Context” places particular emphasis on low-end pressure and rhythmic precision, allowing breaks and straight-ahead passages to complement each other organically and making the material highly versatile for both club play and DJ sets. Overall, the release on Hotflush marks a significant step in DJ Jackum’s discography.

Bringing mutant verve and a deadly swing to the bassweight discipline, Lyeform lands on Sneaker Social Club in resonantly rude form. Strong doses of UKG, wormhole techno and dubstep course through the veins of this muscular four-deep drop, but the London-based producer's metabolism strips the strands down to an atomic level and rebuilds the dance in his own design. 'Drift Into Dread' shaped by rugged, noisy percussion steering towards mind-melting immersion. 'Vintage Gilly' has a much starker sound palette, all crackling drums sparking static interference into negative space. The 2-step swagger is unmistakable on 'Godkiller'. 'Glass Eater' closes the record out with cavernous dub techno chords, overdriven bass harmonics and teeth-grinding noise.

The "Brs 2 Ams" 12" by Dr Dubplate & Luis Ripa was released on Dr Dubplate. This limited 12" brings together four distinctive club tracks that fuse the production and DJ experience of both artists and aim squarely at the dance floor.

Musically, the record combines basement tech house pressure with a tangible UK garage influence: skipping drum patterns, deep, focused sub‑bass and a pronounced late‑night swing define the sound. The record features the tracks "BAD2DABONE," "Dubplate Ripa," "Fish N' Chicks" and "Transmission Controlla," whose structures work as precisely crafted tools for DJ sets and provide variety through shifting tempos and rhythmic accents.

The collaboration between Dr Dubplate, the Bristol‑born label owner and DJ, and Luis Ripa brings the dubplate aesthetic into a contemporary club context: raw energy and clean production stand side by side on equal footing. Striking here are the clear arrangements and the emphasis on groove and space, which allow the tracks to have impact both on bass‑oriented sound systems and in more intimate club environments.

Overall, "Brs 2 Ams" shows a consistent focus on dancefloor‑effective instrumentals that precisely capture the characteristic style of the producers involved.

Released on ec2a, the “Ec2a05” 12" by Gigsta presents four punchy club tracks that oscillate between Garage, 2Step, UK Funky, and Bassline. With titles like “Bringin' It Back,” “Here To Move,” “Bad Bass,” and “Back To The Clubs,” Gigsta delivers a concise yet versatile sequence: driving, skippy drums meet bouncy low-end lines and precise tech-garage arrangements that leave room in the breaks for DJs. The tracks shift between rolling grooves and pinpoint bass ideas, so each cut stands on its own as a reference point while still functioning as part of a compact DJ tool.

The release on the ec2a label comes as a limited vinyl edition and additionally includes the digital download, making the physical record appealing for both collectors and live DJ sets. All tracks are produced by Gigsta; mastering is handled by Cameron McPhail at Optimum, with artwork by Chloe Lancaster. “Ec2a05” showcases Gigsta’s feel for dancefloor-oriented songwriting within the British bass and garage tradition and cements Gigsta’s position on the ec2a label with a tightly crafted four-track package that convinces both in club contexts and under more sober, analytical listening.

South Coast artist Howman lands back on DNO Records for his second outing, ‘Trap Eastwood’. First introducing his heavyweight fusion of rock, hip-hop, dubstep and electronica via his outstanding 2023 debut, ‘Moon Operator’, the multi-instrumentalist and producer returns with a refined palette. Still bearing the first class musicality, rich layering and imaginative sonics that we’ve come to expect, the new EP is more stylistically focused than its predecessor. This time, Howman homes in on a spot somewhere in the 140/dubstep/trap sphere, decorating it with digital fizz, alien bleeps, snarling bass, and the signature gruff twang of guitar that makes his music feel deeply personal and eternally human.

The title track is perhaps the most prominent example of the latter, where Howman’s Western-esque riff conjures up the tension before a duel at high noon, while the bend and wobble of each string shapes the movement of the track like the curves of a rattlesnake.
But it’s a constant from the start, like on opener ‘Strip Search’, with its cinematic guitar intro, and combination of repetitive keys, earnest strings and bear-hug bass that nods to classic hip-hop.
Or closer ‘Fatigue’, where the layers of stuttering plucks, emotive melody and scratchy slide noises form a downtrodden soundscape plagued by police sirens and punctured by “Champion Sound” snippets.
On ‘Navigator’, Howman’s approach is more subtle: fluttering strums and a simple bassline creating a brooding, enigmatic vibe in stark contrast to the urgent, alarm-like stabs which first grip the attention.

Throughout there is an overriding sense of the unknown. ‘No Spring’ weaves drawn-out flute notes, tinkling percussion, super-massive 808 lows and spurts of breakbeat into a twisting, winding thing that wants to lure and enchant. While ‘Frosty’ is as ice cold as its name suggests, murderous bass meeting a spidery piano melody in dread-inducing matrimony — along with snatched words from some familiar faces outside a Berlin edition of THE MINE.

Produced between 2022 and 2025 across various locations, influenced by Howman having to move into more solo live performance (as opposed to his previous band setups), and miraculously surviving a catastrophic data loss incident, the EP is a snapshot of disruption focused into creative cohesion. We’ve been told, however, that it’s not a new direction or a sign of things to come, which only serves to make his next release that much more enticing, that much more of a mystery.

Rhythms of postmodern realism at the very bottom of the DNO.

The "Who Are You / The Ultimate Hopper" 12" by Fabe, released on Ba Dum Tish, delivers two swinging cuts that bridge house and deep house. As a Ba Dum Tish release, this 12" is especially geared toward playability: both cuts are considered highly DJ-friendly and rank among the most functional records in the current landscape. Fabe demonstrates his feel for danceable form and subtle dynamics, allowing the tracks to work both within sets and as stand-alone pieces. The "Who Are You / The Ultimate Hopper" 12" underlines Fabe’s ability to blend house-oriented elements with deep-tinged moments, delivering two compositionally precise works that linger in the memory.

The “Back To Basics” 12-inch by DJ Yoshino, released on Pace Yourself, combines rare archival finds with new material and offers a focused glimpse into the range of his work. The record includes a repress from the Gush Collective vaults, three cuts appearing on vinyl for the first time with contributions from Peaky Beats and Miss Angel, plus a remix by Enchanted Rhythms that further sharpens the release. As an electro release, “Back To Basics” presents both a carefully curated retrospective and fresh tracks that expand the label’s catalog.

Musically, the compilation highlights DJ Yoshino’s role within the early ’00s UKG scene: he refined the UKG sound and smoothed out its edges with a laid-back, warm production that still leaves room for unexpectedly ethereal melodies. On “Back To Basics,” raw yet warm textures that recall Tyree Cooper or QX-1 meet almost fragile-sounding, pseudo-Japanese pop inflections; these contrasts keep the tracks both subtle and direct. Contributions from Peaky Beats and Miss Angel add vocal nuances, while the Enchanted Rhythms remix emphasizes the DJ-oriented side of the material. The release confirms DJ Yoshino’s ability to fuse classic club energy with unusual melodic ideas and further positions Pace Yourself as a platform for accomplished, yet surprising, electro releases.

Released on Instinct, the “Instinct 40” 12" by Mattik once again places the producer at the intersection of Garage, 2Step, UK Funky, and Bassline, putting the focus squarely on dancefloor-ready club culture. The A-side features the tracks “Original Badboy (Its Ecstasy)” and “We Tell Dem,” each drawing on typical characteristics of the scene: syncopated 2Step rhythms, distinctive basslines, and production clearly designed for DJ play. With this, Instinct delivers a pointed release that connects Mattik’s Berlin- and Manchester-rooted signature with the label’s sound.

Musically, on “Instinct 40” Mattik relies on a strong groove focus and sparse, effective arrangement choices, allowing the tracks to work both in quick club mixes and as longer-running DJ tools. The combination of Garage-style percussion, Bassline-driven low-end work, and elements of UK Funky creates room for variation in sets and opens up space for remixes and edits. As a 12" on Instinct, “Instinct 40” positions itself as a clear contribution to the current evolution of Garage- and Bass-oriented movements.

Drop Music marks a quarter of a century of reliable and ever-on-point sounds with a special series of EPs that embodies what it has always been about and offers up both classics and never-before-released tunes. This one kicks off with 'Make A Move' which is chunky low-slung tech. It unfolds at a relatively slow tempo but that gives the fat acid gurgles time to really hit. Inland Knights then serves up the next three cuts, starting with the bass bin bothering sounds of 'Push It', the more silky tech loops of 'Long Time' and the vocal-laced acid-tech swagger of 'Same Talk.' Released on unknown - untitled, the “The Worm” 12" by French II, Alberta Balsam, and Bastian Benjamin delivers six uncompromisingly arranged tracks that consistently continue the label’s anonymous-preview concept: releases are initially presented without detailed artist information, which is instead found on the inner sleeve. This approach underscores the label’s commitment to putting the quality of the music front and center.

The EP includes the title collaboration “The Worm,” listed as a joint track by Bastian Benjamin, Alberta Balsam, and French II as the A-side opener, along with five additional productions that are predominantly by French II. Musically, the record blends elements of garage, 2-step, UK funky, and bassline, weaving broken rhythms together with powerful bass foundations. Tracks like “Psycho,” “Kick Some,” and “Ruffneck” rely on stripped-back arrangements and concise lead motifs, while “Loudner (Silencer)” and “Jolly Motto” emphasize the EP’s driving, club-focused orientation.

With “The Worm,” unknown - untitled consolidates its role as a platform for young bass- and garage-oriented productions and delivers a 12" that is likely to appeal to both DJs and producers for its clear sonic focus and detailed track credits.

Released on Lapsus / Local Action, Eden Samara’s LP “Odyssey” casts the artist’s second album into an expanded, ensemble-like sound world. The work brings together elements such as jungle-inflected rhythms, choral vocals, and live harp, tying them to tight, focused songwriting; in terms of subject matter, it translates archetypal narrative patterns into a personal exploration of loss, dependency, and codependency.

Eden Samara grew up in the mountains of western Canada, writing folk songs and performing on stage from an early age, before a trip to Europe and life in London from 2019 onward began to shape her musical trajectory. Following her debut “Rough Night” on Local Action, created with TSVI, Call Super, and Shanti Celeste and highlighted in Dazed and Mixmag, she continues to expand her approach. Collaborations with Parris, Ciel, and Loraine James, as well as coverage in The Guardian, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Crack, and DJ Mag, have accompanied her development.

Musically, “Odyssey” combines electronic pop structures with R&B hues, orchestral textures, and dark literary references to Homer, The Alchemist, and The Picture of Dorian Gray. All tracks were written and produced by Eden Samara; additional production was contributed by Loraine James, Tim Reaper, TSVI, Ryan Pierre, Comfort Zone, Dan O., Ryan Cover, and Lighght. Harp is performed by Marysia Osu, drums and additional guitar are by Fyn Dobson, and the opening track “Voyage” draws on a poem by Rabindranath Tagore.

Released on idontknow, the “Need A Man?” 12" by Awly clearly places the project in the context of house and deep house, relying on stripped-down, club-ready arrangements. The single is built on driving four-on-the-floor rhythms and subdued soundscapes that give the track room to unfold over the course of long DJ sets.

On a lyrical level, a recurring line shapes the character of the release: “Seeking: man, must love house, must own mop, must survive re-entry, must fold space, must vacuum, must not vanish.” This statement functions here not only as a lyrical motif, but as a dramatic core that connects voice and rhythm and lends the track a quirky, slightly Dadaist touch. The production balances lean, deep basslines with pinpoint percussion elements, creating an atmosphere that feels both danceable and contemplative.

With “Need A Man?”, idontknow is releasing a 12" that highlights Awly’s sensitive handling of groove and space. The way the mix is set up allows the central vocal fragment to stand out clearly, while the instrumental layers remain restrained, emphasizing the danceable precision of the composition. For DJs and connoisseurs of electronic club music, this record offers a focused contribution to the modern house repertoire.

The “Late 002” 12" by M Sexton, released on Late Checkout, consistently continues the sonic journey of the series and brings four new, hazy club excursions that further explore the foundations of his previous output. On “Late 002,” Mark Sexton delivers a subtle blend of warm, dusty textures and melodic confidence; the arrangements exude soul without ever losing sight of the clear, dance floor–focused grooves.

Musically, the record deliberately blurs the lines between deep house and UK garage, with sample-heavy soul elements serving as the unifying stylistic thread. Each of the four compositions unfolds organically, with fluid basslines and restrained yet present percussion patterns that leave plenty of space for DJs while still standing strong as tracks in their own right. The production is defined by subtly applied filter work and a well-balanced mix that lends the material a timeless, gently nostalgic warmth.

“Late 002” confidently builds on the sound of its predecessor and solidifies M Sexton’s path as a producer who unites grooving club functionality with musical depth. The 12" on Late Checkout thus offers compelling new chapters for both attentive selectors and fans of sophisticated, danceable productions.

The compilation “Osmosis I” is the first release from the new label Osmosis Records and is released as a 12-inch. The label traces back to a Portland, Oregon-based event collective that runs the Osmosis party series and the Osmosis in the Trees festival; with this release, Osmosis Records aims to present the sound world and the artists from its community. “Osmosis I” features six tracks by Priori, xphresh (Ben Bondy & Special Guest DJ), phorum, wav4ms, Carly Barton, mor-f, and muck, and connects electronic club music with dub-focused bass and hypnotic, downtempo-oriented arrangements.

The record is clearly split into two halves: Side A opens with “Colossi” (105 BPM), a mid-tempo, subbass-driven dancefloor track, followed by “Back Alley” (130 BPM), which stands out for its dark, intricate percussion. Side A closes with “Burning Sand” (90 BPM), a sensual, psychedelically inclined drift. Side B opens with “Fuul” (125 BPM), a subbass-heavy, dub-leaning number, while “Belladonna” (100 BPM) uses gong-like structures and gamelan-like elements to generate meditative tension. The finale, “Ugamelon Spirit” (80 BPM), builds on spacious percussion and a hypnotic wooden-flute ostinato, matter-of-factly summing up the musical breadth of the compilation.

Released on Creaked, the “Captivated Heart: Remixed” 12" by Hrdvsion brings together six standalone reworks of the track “Captivated Heart” and presents remix contributions from Nathan Fake, SHE Spells Doom, Shanx, efemme, and Sinistarr, as well as Hrdvsion’s own rework version. The record functions like a compendium of different production approaches: Nathan Fake opens with expansive synth pads and atmospheric drones, SHE Spells Doom introduces raw, African-influenced bass and club impulses, Shanx focuses on fragmented effects and dark textures, while efemme contributes subtle acid and minimal elements. Sinistarr delivers an energetic, rhythmically fractured take that shifts the material into a faster, more driving context.

“Captivated Heart: Remixed” broadens the perspective on Hrdvsion’s original and shows how a single song, through varying arrangements between techno, minimal, and tech house, can inhabit different club and listening situations. The 12" keeps these juxtaposed approaches tightly contained and thus enables a direct comparison of production styles without ever losing sight of the central melody. For Hrdvsion, the release remains a clear statement on the mutability of electronic tracks and the productive power of collaborative remix culture on the Creaked label.

The “E-Funk / Twisty” 12" released on Human by Scarper delivers two tightly focused dancefloor cuts in a stripped-back, vinyl-centered edition; the A-side features the title track “E-Funk,” while the B-side contains “Twisty” — on the vinyl version, “Twisty” takes the place of the digital B-side “Rhodopsin.” The release came out on August 16, 2020 and was officially licensed to the new label HUMAN; it is presented as a limited edition 12" with an additional digital download.

Musically, Scarper moves between garage, 2-step, UK funky, and bassline; according to the release notes, “E-Funk” weaves elements of 2-step, house, and breaks into a cross-genre club track with distinctive melodies, while “Twisty” continues the B-side’s dancefloor focus. On Bandcamp, the release is described as the first part in a series of dancefloor-oriented two-trackers by Scarper, and the production showcases the producer’s preference for layered synth lines and sharply defined rhythms. Support from scene heavyweights such as Carl Craig, Skream, and Kelly Lee Owens underlines the record’s impact among DJs. The 12" thus offers a compact, club-focused presentation of two complementary tracks that assert their own weight on vinyl.

The “Latencia” LP by Microhm and Imaabs is released on Eck Echo and weaves together archival discoveries with sonic interventions from contemporary club production. The joint project is based on listening sessions at the Fonoteca Nacional de México, as well as field recordings of traditional musicians, and was developed as a commission for the Original 2025 program of the Mexican cultural authority under the coordination of the Fonoteca. The result is eleven compositions that all revolve around a central guiding question: How does sonic memory change through time, displacement, and cultural exchange?

Musically, “Latencia” moves within the tension field between garage, 2-step, UK funky, and bassline, yet uses these club aesthetics as tools to deconstruct fragments of traditional sounds. Voices, remnants of instruments, and archival pieces appear in estranged form here: slowed down, altered, and transformed through electronic processes into floating atmospheres and diffuse rhythms. The tracks work with layers that oscillate between the familiar and a strangeness that is hard to place, presenting tradition not as an origin but as a dynamic archive.

Rather than offering a definitive answer to questions of identity, “Latencia” brings contradictions and mixtures to the surface; Indigenous, African, European, and Latin American influences are conceived as circulating materials. The result is a contemplative, spatially conceived work in which Eck Echo presents the music of Microhm and Imaabs as a speculative sonic landscape.

The “Movin On EP” 12" by Duke Harrison is released on Rhythm N Vibe and brings together four driving house tracks that oscillate between a classic garage vibe and a contemporary club aesthetic. The record offers compact arrangements clearly geared toward the dance floor, while leaving room for warm synth lines and gripping bass grooves.

Duke Harrison, whose work connects retro-tinged house elements with modern sound design, relies on organic-sounding percussion, rolling sub-bass, and saturated chord figures. This combination gives the tunes a soulful warmth without sacrificing the punch needed for DJ sets; it’s precisely this tension that defines his style and makes the EP a statement release for both warm-up sets and later club phases alike.

The track selection ranges from the title cut “Movin On” to the grooving “Givin U,” on to the deeper moments of “Deep In” and the more stripped-back, vocal-driven “Let’s Testify.” Each track works with clear motifs—whether through shimmering leads, syncopated kick patterns, or a distinctive bass presence—and thus offers versatile ways to be worked into different DJ contexts. The “Movin On EP” presents Duke Harrison as a producer who confidently bridges tradition and the present.

The "Tools01" 12" by Kenji HinaAka Alarico was released on Ec2a and continues the project’s focus on stripped‑down, dancefloor‑oriented electronics. The release centers on singular, striking ideas that can be easily placed within a DJ set, presenting sound material designed for clarity and immediate impact.

Style‑wise, Kenji Hina operates in the realm of techno‑oriented club music with a penchant for rhythmic directness and clear, often mechanical grooves; earlier releases such as the "Shinjuku District" record or the "Bring It Down" EP confirm this direction. The close connection to Italian producer Alarico is evident in shared credits and remixes, causing the project to oscillate between atmospheric, driving moments and sober percussion patterns.

Ec2a consciously positions such 12" releases as functional vinyl editions for club use, often employing hand‑stamped white‑label formats that keep the focus on pure sound. Within this context, "Tools01" functions as a precise addition to the existing body of work by Kenji HinaAka Alarico: compact arrangements, deep low‑end foundations, and a clear sense of form shape the sound.

Introducing Pala, the first instalment of Pressure Dome’s new tape series and a PD debut from London’s City Kudu. So far finding its home across Manchester’s Access Memory imprint, and Kudu’s own beloved brainchild, Kite Hill Records, the emerging producer’s discography toys with space and rhythm to create immersive environments.

In keeping with this theme, Pala EP is a thoughtful display of the ways in which light and shade can co-exist in dance music, each track bolstered by driving bass lines and accented by delicate melodic flares. Honeysuckle and Jade draw on dubbed-out soundscapes taken from the schools of Basic Channel and SND, both enlivened by the dynamism of tuned drums. The former is haunted by a fragmented voice, whilst the latter is bathed in a plaintive ambience. Connected in their half-time pace, Pala and Twine work to further emphasise the dichotomy between light and shade. The title track’s dancehall-indebted rhythm accompanies radiant pads, whilst Twine represents its gritty counterpart, not a far cry from the work of Livity Sound extraordinaires Toma Kami and Kouslin.

Exclusively on offer to those swift enough to get their hands on a limited edition cassette, the B-side sees Kudu wear the EP’s influences on his sleeve, offering an inspiration mix featuring music that has fed into the sound of the EP.

Introducing Metal Will Reign, a PD debut from Bristol-based producer How Du. Having previously appeared on two Pressure Dome compilations with his signature deep two-step sound, this eight-track collection sees him expand his palette, exploring the intersections of dub techno, downtempo and soundsystem music.

Throughout the release, How Du demonstrates a remarkable ability to balance movement and introspection. Rich low-end pressure underpins each track, whilst intricate percussion, dubbed-out textures and delicate melodic elements create immersive environments that reward both deep listening and dancefloor engagement.

In keeping with this spirit, Metal Will Reign moves fluidly between light and shade. Opener 'J2 Saga' introduces the record's spacious world through drifting pads, dubbed atmospheres and subtle melodic flourishes, whilst 'The Snow Moon' and 'C Gate' delve into darker territory, pairing alien sound design and haunting vocal fragments with cavernous bass weight and spacious half-time rhythms. Elsewhere, 'Bosmode' and 'Stemah' showcase the two-step sensibilities that first drew us to How Du's music, balancing playful groove with warmth and restraint. 'Pressure' and 'Villains of Albion' explore the release's more downtempo corners, weaving together dubbed-out basslines, optimistic synth work and understated rhythmic detail, before closer 'Code 279' dissolves into a haze of expanding textures and stripped-back dub pressure.

Reserved exclusively for the limited edition cassette, the B-side sees How Du delve into the influences behind Metal Will Reign, weaving together an inspiration mix that traces the sounds, moods and ideas that informed the release.

The 12" Normal Ways EP by Drone, released on Evil Sky, is a focused four-track release that expands the label’s catalog with powerful bass-heavy material. The 12" comes bundled with a digital album, available as a high-quality download up to 24-bit/44.1 kHz, and documents Drone’s ongoing exploration of broken rhythms and deep low-end.

Musically, the Normal Ways EP fuses elements of 2-step, breaks, and dubstep: “Ralph’s Theme” opens with euphoric breaks and melodic motifs, “Blurred Vision” leans on driving 2-step grooves with massive bass, while “Atom Bomb” is an explicitly club-focused track that pushes into the harsher ends of the frequency spectrum. The title track “Normal Ways” strips the arrangement back, built on substantial sub-bass foundations and punctuated vocal chops, so the EP showcases both intricate detail and raw impact.

The release appears on Evil Sky as ES004 and slots into the label’s recent output aimed at the intersection of garage, 2-step, UK funky, and bassline; the precise calibration of rhythm, bass, and stripped-back melodies makes the Normal Ways EP a boldly produced statement within the label’s catalog.

With the 12" release "Los Angeles" on Nuts World Tour, Nuts showcases the next level of his creativity while, overall, staying true to his style. The four tracks on this record take you straight under the California sun, linking the golden era of the West Coast sound with contemporary production. G-funk influences shape the arrangements: smooth synth leads, deeply rooted basslines, and laid-back, rolling grooves evoke palm trees, sunsets, and late-night cruising routes. Nuts uses these sonic hallmarks to sketch a specific mood that is both a nod to the genre and an evolution of it. Finely balanced from a technical standpoint, the tracks remain airy yet warm, with compositions that leave room for melodies and subtle details. The record explicitly taps into lowrider aesthetics, relying on a mix of nostalgia and modern sound design that translates the characteristic Los Angeles vibe into a compact, carefully produced format.

The "Invite Chaos Feat Sikka Rymes" 12" by Low End Activist was released on Low End Activism and brings together the title collaboration with singer Sikka Rymes, co-signed by Vybz Kartel, as well as an instrumental version and two remixes by Low Jack and Loraine James. The record transfers the raw dynamism of the production directly onto vinyl and offers compact, to-the-point tracks.

Musically, Low End Activist navigates an industrial-tinged dancehall course that fuses elements of dub, grime and electronic bass culture. The main track relies on powerful low-end pressure, sharply cut percussion and rhythmic intensifications that leave space for Sikka Rymes’ distinctive voice; the arrangement balances between rough club aesthetics and dub-informed spatial depth. This stylistic blend is also reflected in the digital metadata and tag sets accompanying the release.

The remixes by Low Jack and Loraine James provide alternative perspectives: Low Jack shifts the energy into a more stripped-back, mechanically driving terrain, while Loraine James electronically deconstructs the original and thickens the textures. Overall, the 12" presents a cohesive statement between open club orientation and experimental reworking, positioning Low End Activist as a producer drawn to darker bass tones and confrontational rhythms.

The "The Return To Source EP" 12" by D-Dubz is released on Timehri and brings together three ultra-deep underground garage and breakbeat tracks that pay tribute to the original sound while reimagining it in a 2026 style. The short, concise running time focuses on dense grooves and clear structures that deliberately draw on early garage and breakbeat aesthetics while updating them at the same time.

As a new addition to the Timehri family, D-Dubz delivers a stripped-back statement with this EP: the tracks "Respect Da Crew," "Big Part A Dis," and "All Crew Dub" reveal a division of labor between driving breaks and dub-like echo textures that leave room for rhythmic subtleties. The arrangements remain compact and rely on a sparing use of effects, which keeps the tracks sharply defined.

The release positions itself both in the club context and within the realm of discerning collections by translating classic formal elements of the garage and breakbeat tradition into a contemporary production. With this 12", Timehri continues to expand its line of vinyl releases and offers a focused insight into D-Dubz’s approach.

The “Cfr001” 12" by The Unknown Artist, released on Certifried, is a compact record featuring four numbered cuts that sit firmly in the house and deep house spectrum. The sparse naming of the tracks as Certifried 01 through Certifried 04 reinforces the anonymous, stripped-back concept of the release and puts the emphasis on rhythmic structures and groove.

The production avoids elaborate embellishments and instead relies on a clear, streamlined aesthetic: recurring patterns, distinctive bass movements, and a restrained, club-focused sound ensure consistent playability. With this 12", The Unknown Artist stays squarely in house and deep house territory and offers DJs as well as fans of the genre four functional, immediately usable tracks. The pressing is listed as very limited, so the “Cfr001” 12" should be picked up quickly if you’re interested.

The "Summer Breeze / Worries In The Dance" 12" by Persian exists as a white‑label promo and dates back to the late 1990s; the sheet lists the release as a BLANK pressing with two focused A and AA sides.

Here, Persian appears in the tradition of the British underground, his work combining elements of jungle and UK garage. "Summer Breeze" uses heavily manipulated, soul‑oriented vocal material that is embedded in a pounding bassline and jagged breaks, while "Worries In The Dance" leans more on shuffle rhythms and classic jungle‑style percussion. This combination of sampled melodics and rough club dynamics reflects Persian’s production approach at the time.

Sonically, the production remains relatively stripped down: sub‑bass‑oriented low‑end lines meet pointed snare accents and selective use of effects, allowing both tracks to unfold their impact primarily in a DJ context. Within UK garage circles, the 12" is regarded as a curious, often‑discussed white‑label release that attracts attention for its idiosyncratic sample and its direct, dancefloor‑oriented arrangements.

Roughly three and a half years since pushing the boundaries of 160bpm and stepping beyond the realm of footwork with the Reidai EP, Oyubi returns with an even deeper sound, dropping due yesterday.

This EP consists of four tracks that showcase a darker, more introspective side of the producer, stepping away from the ghetto and booty flavors found in his other releases. However, anchored by his signature sequence patterns, the sound design—striking a perfect balance between playful and profoundly dope—only serves to amplify the groove.

The ultimate embodiment of this evolution is the B1 track, "Taiko 2." While it inherits its name from "Taiko 160" on the Reidai EP, its form is entirely transformed. Relentless, high-speed drums and stripped-back minimal components take over the mind and body like a dark incantation. Packing a hypnotic power that far surpasses its predecessor, it's destined to be a killer weapon in any DJ set. It’s also worth noting that this track draws heavy inspiration from Kode9 & DJ Fulltono’s "TKO."

Naturally, the other three tracks are just as formidable. Infused with elements of dub, A1 "Erekiteru" centers around a pulsing bassline heartbeat, keeping the groove steady alongside crisp, dry claps. Meanwhile, A2 "Da Groove" and B2 "Wop Wop" heavily incorporate Baile Funk and Dembow influences. "Da Groove" is quintessential Oyubi: as the extended intro breaks and the four-to-the-floor kick drops in lockstep with the bass, it guarantees instant unity on the dancefloor. Finally, B2 "Wop Wop" relies on intentional distortion and subtle spatial processing to build its foundation, revealing a dark side akin to "Taiko 2"—complete with an exceptionally punchy snare.

Fully loaded with Oyubi's uncompromising dark-side approach, due yesterday is set to be a 160bpm masterpiece.

“Bags Inc.” by Sam Binga & Addison Groove is released on Pineapple and marks the duo’s third full-length within the orbit of Binga’s label. The initial ideas emerged during an intense 72‑hour session at the legendary Devon Analogue Studios, where the two worked with classic drum machines, analog synthesizers, and rare hardware effects; over the next two years they shaped these building blocks into a cohesive body of work.

Musically, the album clearly sits in the realm of uptempo machine‑funk variants, ranging from Detroit jit and Chicago box jams through to turbo‑electro inflections. Across twelve tracks, Sam Binga & Addison Groove explore the tension between 140 and 150 bpm—fast but not overly hard, driven by the trademark groove both are known for and a palpable playfulness in the arrangements. The tracks rely on stripped‑back yet impactful patterns designed both for club use and for close, attentive listening.

On the production side, the recording process follows a hardware‑jamming approach, giving the record its gritty, powerful texture. Mastering was handled by Bob Macc at SC Mastering, with the cut carried out at Sony’s European plant, giving the release sonic depth without sacrificing its essential club energy. As a label, Pineapple provides the ideal framework for this project, which is very direct in both origin and intent.

The “Ec2a03” 12" by DXNBY was released on ec2a and marks his debut for the label. The 12" brings together four tracks: “Think u Know,” “Citizens,” “Exhale,” and “Bones,” which, in their brevity and structure, are clearly geared toward instant groove and club functionality.

Musically, the release moves between UK garage and bassline with a pronounced tech‑garage slant: skippy hi‑hats, trimmed percussion patterns, and prominent, modulated basslines define the sound. The arrangements rely on pinpoint breaks and recurring motifs that allow DJs flexible transitions; the tracks operate in a high‑tempo range optimized for dance‑oriented sets.

All tracks were produced by DXNBY; mastering was handled by Cameron McPhail at Optimum, and the artwork was created by Chloe Lancaster. The production emphasizes clear low‑mids and well‑defined transients, which makes the tracks particularly effective on club systems. Overall, the 12" presents DXNBY’s matter‑of‑fact take on modern garage material and underscores his focus on danceable, precisely structured tracks.

The "Dimensions EP" by Silas is available as a 12-inch and continues the producer’s close relationship with the Sneaker Social Club label. Following his full debut on Sneaker in 2024, the Oxford-born artist returns with new variations on grime that further develop his characteristic approach to tempo and atmosphere.

Musically, the EP moves between tight, jittery arrangements and retro-futurist soundscapes. The A-side opens with the title track "Dimensions," built from razor-sharp string stabs and skewed, cubist drums; "Vapour" and "Entangle" pursue a sci-fi-inflected aesthetic with distant pads and driving rhythmic sculptures, while "Stateless" echoes the gently otherworldly trance tracks of the ’90s. This clear stylistic through-line makes the release both dancefloor-focused and engaging for concentrated listening.

Silas stays true to his roots in UK club culture, linking classic grime elements with modern production approaches that emphasize precision and space. The "Dimensions EP" presents him as a producer who uses sparse means to sketch a dense, atmospheric picture, underscoring Sneaker Social Club’s programmatic orientation within the contemporary bass and grime cosmos.

Faux Poly is delighted to release its first vinyl record release since 2023: NINA, a rising UKG/Dub prodigy, is arriving with Internal Makeup. Bristol-based NINA has steadily built a reputation as a forward-thinking solo artist, dropping highly sought-after records with a distinct sound and craftsmanship that set him apart. Just one year in, NINA has released on labels such as Innamind Recordings, 20/20 LDN, and Locus Sound. This new chapter is a pure distillation of that journey - a sound informed by dub, garage, grime, and soundsystem pressure. Internal Makeup features four bass-driven club tools that are minimal, weighty and focussed on sub. Opening with “The World Is On Fire”, the only 4x4 track on the record, NINA sets the mood with a cavernous dub techno jam and spaced out vocals. The rest of the record - including the Rowl collaboration “When I Come” - hits firmly in UK Bass territory, with stripped compositions that focus on bass-weight and a strong Bristol influence. Words from NINA: This EP came together slowly and surely over the space of about a year. I wanted to encapsulate my true sound which can be extremely versatile which is why there is a bit of everything on there, from techno to garage to dubstep.

Released on Undancel, the 12" “Liminal” brings together four original tracks by different producers and appears as a various-artists release: A1 Komatssu – “Destructor De Mundos,” A2 Lefrenk – “Indecent,” B1 Vema Diodes – “Mindnimal,” and B2 Celine Arnauld – “Glitched.” The selection focuses on dense, electronically driven pieces that, in their sequencing, delineate a clear transitional space between club-oriented material and experimental electronics.

Musically, the record moves between melody-driven IDM, edgy electro, and avant-garde techno. Komatssu contributes a blend of melodic IDM, breakcore inflections, and a spectral avant-techno aesthetic, while Lefrenk translates his many years of experience as a DJ and label operator into organically dynamic sound textures and digital subtleties. Vema Diodes stands for technical experimentation and synth-based detail work, and Celine Arnauld rounds out the package with glitchy, ambient-infused structures that connect to current formats of computer-based sound processing.

As the third release of the young Malagasy label Undancel, “Liminal” condenses a curated snapshot of producers from the region and beyond. The vinyl is complemented by a digital bonus track accessible via download code. The release places emphasis on distinctive sound design and diverse production approaches, making the 12" appealing both to DJs and to listeners interested in the border zones of contemporary electronic music.

The "Dead Channels Ritual" 12" by Delta Division was released on Acidreflux and combines masculine club energy with finely calibrated IDM textures. The release works with forceful, fragmented rhythmic patterns and densely interwoven soundscapes that oscillate between industrial starkness and subtle melancholy. Through the sparing use of bass frequencies and distorted signals, an atmosphere emerges in which every pause functions as a structural element.

The work comprises compact, sharply arranged pieces, including "Rupture" and "ST600", which are dramaturgically geared toward tension and compression; additional remixes by Kincaid and Suncell open the tracks up to different club contexts. Production and mastering give the material a clear contour: W&P are by Delta Division, mastering was handled by Ankur at Seres Studios, and the artwork is by Marco Paganotto. These hand-picked collaborations underline the technical precision of the release.

Delta Division stands out as a Berlin-based producer whose work has already appeared, among others, on Fear Of Silence; the approach is characterized by richly textured sound design elements and a structure consistently oriented around the relationship between silence and the deployment of force. Characteristic are the combination of organic, almost tangible noise sources with electronic rigor and a sense of spatial depth, giving listeners a clearly focused way into the compositions.

The 12" “Perc EP” by Contours, released on context, continues his previous explorations between ambient, jazz and minimally percussive sound fields, while shifting the focus more clearly toward the club. Drawing from the same creative period as the album “Elevations,” Contours channels the more immediate, dancefloor-ready impulses into four carefully selected tracks.

The tracks emerged from recording and then rearranging live-captured percussion, fusing organic performance moments with sequenced structures. Instead of straightforward 4/4 frameworks, “Perc EP” relies on broken rhythms and nods to Detroit house, dub techno and UK club currents; the result is a hypnotic rhythmic progression that runs through evolving synthetic textures. The release has already received early support from Gilles Peterson, Steve Barker (On The Wire), Volcov, Marshmello and Kirk Barley/Church Andrews.

All tracks were composed, performed and produced by Tom Burford; alongside percussion, Burford contributes a range of analog and digital sound sources, including Nord Lead 2, Waldorf Micro Q, Roland Handsonic, Moog Grandmother, Behringer Poly D, Meris Polymoon and the Udu. Mastering was handled by Miles Whittaker, while the sleeve and artwork design come from Kitty Hopking. With “Perc EP,” Contours delivers a precise statement poised between live aesthetics and club-oriented production.

The 12" “Rhythm Of The Babylone” by T3x3 appears as a 12" on 3 Feet Deep and brings together five tracks in compact form. Side A features “Rhythm Of The Babylone” and “0F0”, while side B offers “Main Question”, “Jungle Connection”, and “Main Question (Oldboy Remix)”. The record is specified as 33T mastering, credited to Analogcut.

T3x3 remains rooted in the realm of UK garage and 2-step, but combines elements of speed garage, acid, and breaks into a direct, club-oriented statement. Characteristic features include shuffling, interlocked beat patterns, pinpoint bass impulses, and a play with spatial dub effects that gives the tracks an open, rhythmically accomplished framework. The arrangements rely on lean, concise structures and alternate quieter passages with clear percussive signals.

Released on the 3 Feet Deep label, which lists London and Paris as its bases, the record falls in line with the imprint’s more recent output. The Oldboy remix broadens the range of approaches to the core material while also providing a DJ-friendly addition. The combination of dancefloor-ready grooves and precise production makes this 12" a distinctive contribution to the contemporary UK garage spectrum.

"Feel Free (Deluxe Edition)" by Isgwan is being released on the London label Bad Parrot and expands the previously released material with new tracks and remixes; in addition to extra songs, the edition also brings together renditions of the original tracks.

Isgwan, producer Isaac Walker’s project out of Melbourne, moves between UK garage, melodic house, and contemporary club music. The production emphasizes shimmering melodies, broken rhythms, and warm synth textures, with arrangements that allow for both danceable impulses and intimate moments. Defining for the sound is the combination of a two-step groove and catchy, almost cinematic hooks that shapes the character of the project.

The deluxe edition offers high-profile remixes and guest features: alongside the Rich Ellis remix, contributions from Harvey Sutherland, Osmosis Jones, Vynes, and SKYHIGH have made their way onto the tracklist; the collection also includes new collaborations with vocalist Amber Ferraro. These collaborations open the tracks up to varying takes without losing sight of their original melodic core.

For listeners interested in modern takes on garage sounds, the LP documents the sensitive balancing of club functionality and song structure, and charts Isgwan’s development from the EP format toward a more expansive release.
