Established by Martin KEEN and Rory Fuerst in 2003, KEEN Footwear is a family-owned brand that produces outdoor footwear plus accessories for a modern lifestyle. Located in Portland, Oregon, USA, KEEN Footwear is the result of an outdoor sandal that Martin KEEN developed in the late 90s – it was launched as the first groundbreaking design in 2003 as the famous KEEN Newport Sandal.

In these days, when our air, water, climate, and public lands are under constant attack, KEEN continues its mission with renewed gusto including a new campaign to activate the brand’s employees and supporters. It’s easy to say that taking action is part of KEEN Footwear’s DNA. For more than 15 years, KEEN Footwear has been giving back to communities, non-profits, and open spaces; advocating for a healthy planet as well as reducing impact in the brand’s supply chain.

Since 2003, KEEN Footwear donated over $15 million to causes around the world, their Live Monumental tour helped secure public lands protections for three key areas, and all KEEN Footwear products containing leather uses eco-friendly processed leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group, which promotes sustainable and appropriate business practices within the leather industry.
