The light-colored upper with black and pink accents underscores its dynamic character, making the shoe just as convincing on narrow mountain trails as in everyday urban use. The distinctive silhouette with its raised midsole creates a powerful look and delivers noticeable relief over long distances.

In the upper of the HOKA Mafate Speed 2, a lightweight SpeedFrame construction with welded overlays wraps the foot closely without creating pressure points. An external Monomesh debris protection keeps small stones out, while the softly padded tongue and upper ensure a comfortable feel. The reinforced toe area and TPU heel clip provide additional stability when the ground gets technical.

Underfoot, HOKA’s characteristic Early-Stage Meta-Rocker geometry works together with a high-volume, pleasantly springy CMEVA midsole. The deep Active Foot Frame cradles the heel securely and guides your stride smoothly from landing to toe-off, noticeably easing the strain on your muscles and making even long runs more approachable.

For uncompromising traction, the tough Vibram® Megagrip outsole of the HOKA Mafate Speed 2 with pronounced 5 mm lugs and flexible grooves digs into soft ground, stays reliable on rock, and delivers a confidence-inspiring ride even in wet conditions.
