The upper combines soft leather with tough mesh, giving the MT10T both structure and airflow. Generous cutouts provide extra ventilation, while a wraparound rubber rand serves as a protective mudguard layer that effectively absorbs impacts at the toes and sides. The textile footbed gently hugs the foot and supports a barefoot-like feel.

A hallmark of the New Balance MT10T is the Vibram® outsole with its distinctive rounded lugs.
