It's only appropriate that Xzibit's highly anticipated, and often-delayed, Restless concluded hip-hop's millennial melting pot. After all, Xzibit's association with Dr. Dre and his Aftermath regime attached very lofty expectations to Restless; X was publicly anointed as the next Sc expected to blow up. Surely, with Dre as executive producer and guest shots from Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Dre himself, Xzibit was virtually assured of acquiring the mainstream success that eluded him on previous efforts (At The speed Of Life 40 dayz & 40 nightz). Thanks largely to Dre's knob-twisting input, Restless became aural kin to Dre's own 2001 comeback vehicle, as the head-nod factor is immediately established on "Front To Back," the heavenly synth stabs "X," and "Get Your Walk On."Tthe main flaw in Restless' formula lies primarily with Xzibit's extensive list of guest collaborators. While contributions from Dre ("U Know"), Snoop ("D.N.A."), and Eminem ("Don't Approach Me") are all welcomed, appearances from DJ Quik and KRS-One, among many others, take the focus off Xzibit's formidable lyrical boasting, which precludes restless from forming a desired level of cohesiveness. On "X," Xzibit pledges to "rearrange the game with my rugged sound," and he periodically delivers on that promise. However, it would have taken nothing short of a masterpiece for Xzibit to appease hip-hop's finicky masses. Marble blue vinyl.

After years of whispers, the once-mythical album from Wu-Tang affiliates KGB (Klik Ga Bow) is finally getting an official release. Emerging from Coney Island, the crew began with Asiatic (Adriatic), DJ Kin (Kinny Kin), and Ill Knob (Knowledge), later expanding with Raheem & Red/Infa-Red. In the late ’90s, they carved out a reputation in the underground—merging Wu-Tang’s raw edge with Brooklyn’s unforgiving lyrical style.The group moved within the same orbit as Deadly Venoms and MMO, managed by John “Mook” Gibbons under the Wu-Tang/Protect Ya Neck Records banner. They were part of the early Poison Clan Posse, a Wu-linked collective that never fully stepped into the spotlight despite its potential. Now their long-lost full album called Win, Lose or Draw is finally getting, and for the first time ever, a proper Vinyl (2lp, Album), CD (Glass mastering/Pro Press) & Cassette Tape format release. This album contains several mid 90's KGB unreleased tracks and a couple of songs taken from their 12"s, all of this material recorded between 94 and 96 was supposed to be used for their Win, Lose or Draw unreleased album, we also added some bonus tracks to make it a 15 track project.

Madvillainy is the debut and only studio album by Madvillain, a collaboration between legendary rapper MF DOOM (Daniel Dumile) and acclaimed producer Madlib (Otis Jackson Jr.), released on March 23, 2004 by Stones Throw Records. The album is often hailed as a masterpiece of underground hip-hop, characterized by its unconventional structure, eclectic production, and MF DOOM’s intricate, surreal lyrics.

Madvillainy was a highly anticipated project in the underground hip-hop scene, bringing together two of its most respected figures. MF DOOM, known for his complex wordplay and villainous persona, and Madlib, celebrated for his experimental and sample-heavy production, combined to create a dense, atmospheric album.
The project was recorded over several years, with Madlib working on beats while traveling and MF DOOM crafting his lyrics with a stream-of-consciousness style.

Soundpieces: Da Antidote! is the debut album by California hip-hop group Lootpack, consisting of Madlib, Wildchild, and DJ Romes, released on June 29, 1999 via Stones Throw Records. Aaah yeah! HHE is back with a huge heater! Charlemagne went in and dug up some legendary classics from the early days of Fortress Entertainment. This will be the first installment of several projects between HHE and Fortress so definitely keep an eye out for what's more to come...

The first installment will start out with a bang as we have included the tracks from the Natural Elements EP released back in 1994. At that time NE was still a 6-man crew and the legendary @brownsvilleka was an early member. In addition, we have a previously unreleased Nightbreed track; the mythical duo that consisted of KA along with Kev. Furthermore we have an early L-Swift classic, a Raidermen heater and a superb unreleased demo of female emcee Essence that was also recorded back in 1994 for 10 tracks total.

The compilation will be limited to 500 copies on vinyl and 300 CDs. The CD version will come with a bonus DVD that will feature a documentary about Fortress Entertainment! Much love and respect to @rastaross_ for creating the artwork and a major shoutout to @real_keru for the mastering.

Boogiemonsters were an American hip hop group composed of Bronx born rapper Mondo McCann, Alaskan native Vex Da Vortex (Sean Pollard), and Jamaican born brothers Myntric (Sean Myers) and Yodared (Ivor “Al” Myers). The members met while attending Virginia State University, quickly connected, and began recording demos and performing at campus events. Their early momentum led them to win first place at Howard University’s Hip Hop Convention.
Pendulum/EMI record label signed the four MCs and released their debut album Riders Of The Storm: The Underwater Album in 1994. The first single, “Recognized Thresholds of Negative Stress,” introduced their thoughtful, alternative approach to hip hop. It was followed by "Honeydips in Gotham,” a smooth tribute to the fly sistas of the city, and “Strange,” built around a slick Cameo sample. Another standout track, "Salt Water Taffy (Slo Jam),” is noted as one of the earliest non Roots session appearances by future producer Scott Storch. Riders Of the Storm: The Underwater Album delivers a focused blend of rugged beats, sharp lyricism, and atmospheric production that stands apart in the 90s hip hop landscape. Rashad and Confidence announce the vinyl reissue of their debut album “The Element Of Surprise”. Though originally released in 2011, the melange of soul samples, classic breaks and favoring of lyrical storytelling / conceptual joints could easily have been released in the 90’s. The 2xLP vinyl edition includes the 2019’s single “Desires” as well as two never before heard tracks from the 2011 sessions entitled “Non Stop” and “Feel It.” Rashad, a Brooklyn NY emcee who sports a nimble and rapid flow excels at making anthemic choruses interspersed with highly detailed bars. The Queens-based duo of Pharoahe Monch and Prince Po shined brightest on their 1994 sophomore LP “Stress: The Extinction Agenda,” which is receiving a reissue to mark its 30th Anniversary. Backed by dark, bass-heavy, and jazzy production, “Stress” showcased Pharoahe and Po’s dynamic and ever-shifting rhyme styles and electric chemistry from start to finish, creating an album that is an undisputed classic among hardcore Hip Hop fans.

The classic album featured guest appearances by Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest and O.C., with guest production by Buckwild and Rockwilder. In 1998, the album was included as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums. In an era where flexing original styles was mandatory to gain respect, few Hip Hop groups were more respected than Organized Konfusion.

Deluxe triple-vinyl includes full album instrumentals, non-album bonus tracks, plus a stunning tri-fold gatefold jacket featuring contemporaneous liner notes by Jeff Chang (originally published in 1994) and newly unearthed archival photos from B+.

The Cool Kids & Don Cannon Gone Fishing originally came out on May 5, 2009 as a mixtape that served as a prelude to The Cool Kids' official debut album "When Fish Ride Bicycles". It came out a year after their breakout project "The Bake Sale" that cemented them as leaders of the new wave of hip-hop now widely known as "The Blog Era".

Gone Fishing enlists the help of Don Cannon, DJ, producer and record executive known best for his mixtapes with Nas, Lil' Wayne and Big Sean. His collaboration with The Cool Kids is his most successful mixtape to date.

Gone Fishing is remixed is remastered and out for the whole world to hear on DSPs, 2xlp vinyl, CD and cassette for the first time. This latest release features a remix of "Champions" and a brand new song called "Big Fish Small Pond" along with the original classics "Pennies (The Updated Rosters Remix)" featuring Ludacris and Bun B., as well as "Weekend Love" featuring Ryan Leslie and The S.O.S. Band.
