The “Murderous Style” 12-inch by Dub War, originally released on Tempa, is returning as a vinyl repress of the edition “Murderous Style/Generation,” originally released in 2001, bringing the band’s striking dubstep statement back to record collections. Dub War and the Tempa label together represent a historically significant contribution to the early dubstep scene; this 12-inch places the title track at the center and complements it with its counterpart, “Generation,” making the single both a clear statement and a compact piece of club history.

The reissue preserves the original pairing of “Murderous Style” and “Generation” and makes it possible to hear the material again under the Dub War name. For dubstep fans and collectors who keep an eye out for Tempa releases, the “Murderous Style” 12-inch is a direct reference to early, genre-defining releases; with it, the Tempa label brings a documented piece of the scene back into circulation. This straightforward reissue emphasizes the continuity of the material and offers an opportunity to revisit Dub War’s production work and compositional direction in their original 12-inch format.

Released on Modern Hypnosis, the “Woodsman Blues EP” 12" by Babaka marks the first outing under the new alias of German producer Jörg Müller and is a logical continuation of his interest in physical, sound system-oriented music. On the “Woodsman Blues EP,” Babaka uses classic analog gear and custom-built instruments to create dense, bass-driven dub techno that unfolds its full impact both in the club and in a controlled listening environment.

The EP comprises four self-contained tracks that are stylistically far apart yet follow a consistent concept: deep bass foundations, sparse, washed-out effects, and a strong emphasis on space and reverb. With this release, Modern Hypnosis presents a stripped-down yet punchy take on dub and sound system aesthetics, where technical sophistication and a handcrafted sonic character stand side by side as equals. Babaka deliberately employs analog textures that give the tracks an organic, almost instrumental quality and frame the production as a conscious return to physical sound processing. The “Woodsman Blues EP” on Modern Hypnosis is aimed at listeners who appreciate precisely produced dub techno arrangements and offers a clear insight into Babaka’s new artistic direction.

The “2nd Sq” 12" by Sir Spyro, released on Deep Medi Musik, marks the return of the grime, dubstep, and UK bass pioneer to the label. It is set for release on February 13, 2026, arriving exactly ten years after his formative “Topper Top” record. In this context, Sir Spyro is clearly pleased to be working with Deep Medi Musik again, and with “2nd Sq” he delivers a compact, dancefloor-ready statement that opens the label’s 20th-anniversary year.

Musically, the EP kicks off with the title track “2ND SQ,” where stuttering hi-hats and a heavy bassline are pierced by a cold, industrial-sounding snare. “Be Afraid” expands the atmosphere with sparse production, creating an eerie sense of spaciousness that lends itself to dark warehouse sets. “Diagonal” continues the ominous thread: simmering, repetitively structured arrangements build into a hypnotic underlying mood. The closing track, “Patch Bae,” is a glitchy piece inspired by 16-bit aesthetics, setting a colorful counterpoint with its playful digital textures. Across all four tracks, Sir Spyro demonstrates his feel for bass architectures and dramatic tension without sacrificing immediate club impact.

The "Soaring EP" 12-inch by Dayzero, released on Tectonic, takes the Tokyo-based producer Tsuyushi Hamada under his alias into distinctly club-ready territory, combining elements of dubstep, techno, and the spaces in between across six tracks. Dayzero, who has been active as a producer and DJ for over a decade and has already released on labels such as Livity Sound and ZamZam, employs for this record a precise, stripped-back aesthetic that creates both tension and room for subtle detail.

Musically, the EP opens with "Ego," a 134 BPM track that begins with an archaic, almost ritual energy. For the following cuts, a tempo increase to 140 BPM pulls the production toward techno-leaning club power: "Midnight Train" delivers a driving, DJ-friendly momentum, while "Furious Dogs" lets old-school grime references flare up in aggressive, dotted rhythms. The record closes with the title track "Soaring," a conga-driven workout that ends the EP with percussive lightness and insistent groove. The "Soaring EP" on Tectonic offers a concise, fully composed sequence in which Dayzero balances production intricacy and dance floor–oriented energy with precision.

Numa Crew return with a four-track EP at 140 BPM, showcasing their diverse musical influences across dubstep, grime, UK garage, jungle and reggae. Philly Blunt delivers driving dubstep with wobbling basslines and dub influences, while Big Champion, produced by Lapo and featuring XL Mad and Ninjaz MC, combines old-school jungle and grime with vocals in Jamaican patois and Italian. Easton Riddim merges UK garage and reggae into an MC-friendly riddim, while Run Tune closes the EP with dark atmospheres, frenetic arpeggios, deep sub-bass and distorted vocals.

Dprtndrp make a long-awaited return to Infernal Sounds with 'Byrnei', a release that's been quietly building anticipation across the 140 scene. Following their acclaimed 'What Ya Mean' EP in 2020, the duo are back with five heavyweight cuts that showcase exactly why they've remained one of dubstep's most respected production outfits for well over a decade.

Opening with the title track, 'Byrnei' wastes no time setting the tone. Rolling with Dprtndrp's unmistakable swing, weight and groove, it's a certified soundsystem weapon - built to lock dancers into its hypnotic rhythm while delivering devastating low-end pressure.

Next up, 'Jiaozi' shifts into overdrive. A relentless barrage of razor-sharp percussion, cavernous basslines and seismic energy, it's an uncompromising slice of peak-time dubstep designed to hit with maximum impact from the first drop to the last.

'Fury' explores a deeper side of the duo's sound, drawing influence from their dub-focused alias, D-Operation Drop. Rich in space, texture and heavyweight sonics, it perfectly blurs the line between traditional dub and modern 140, combining meditative atmospherics with chest-rattling low-end.

Adding another dimension to the EP, Causa steps in to rework 'Fury', twisting the original into a hypnotic, distorted roller. Layered with his unmistakable wobble-heavy aesthetic, the remix pushes the track into darker territory, delivering an immersive journey of oppressive bass weight and razor-sharp sound design.

Bringing the release to a thunderous close, 'Backfire' is pure, uncompromising pressure. Stripped back, direct and devastatingly effective, it's arguably the heaviest moment on the EP; a no-nonsense soundsystem destroyer that leaves a lasting impression.

From start to finish, 'Byrnei' is a statement of intent. It's a masterclass in weight, groove and precision, reinforcing Dprtndrp's status as true innovators within the 140 landscape. With five expertly crafted cuts destined for dancefloors and soundsystems worldwide, this is another landmark release from two producers operating firmly at the top of their game.

The “Tempa Archive, Volume 2: Enigma EP” LP by D1 is released on Tempa as a double LP; the physical edition is accompanied by a digital pre-order package from Tempa. The release is presented as the second installment in the “Tempa Archive” series and comprises eight pieces, which are listed as individual titles in the tracklist. This edition documents a series of archival recordings by producer D1 and brings together material that is now, for the first time, made available in collected form on a label release.

Musically, on “Tempa Archive, Volume 2: Enigma EP” D1 presents stripped-down, bass-oriented arrangements that create clearly focused, atmospheric moments across the sequence of tracks. The record features the tracks “Enigma,” “E.T.,” “Life Force,” “Earth,” “Snatch,” “Tabala,” “Cosmic,” and “Verb,” with each composition exhibiting its own structures and subtle production details. With this release, Tempa brings archival material into its current catalog, offering a focused insight into D1’s working process and the studio aesthetic of the pieces in question.

The "Quiet Storm Blue Ripple Vinyl Edition" by Space Afrika brings together the duo’s expanded, highly collaborative body of work on a single LP and is released by Dais. The release lifts the already familiar connection between nocturnal landscapes, bass pressure, and contemplative strings onto a broader, narrative level without losing the precise, unvarnished core of the production.

Space Afrika — the Manchester- and Berlin-based collective centered around Joshua Tarelle Reid and Joshua Inyang — picks up directly on the evolution since Honest Labour with Quiet Storm and expands ambient-focused trip-hop, techno, and modern classical reference points into expansive, urban dub landscapes. The record weaves coming-of-age elements together with spiritual motifs and probes the tension between determination and inner conflict.

Key features include the deliberate incorporation of external voices and instruments: the string-backed, expressive opener "Vanity," featuring Axelle Fanyo; the collective calm and catharsis of "MLN," featuring Tony Njoku; and the impulsive "If This Is Hell," captured in a single take with Deuén. Gabriel Evans (guitar, lead bass), PIKE (drums), and GB (keys and strings) shape the arrangements, while the involvement of Glenn Ligon links the project visually and conceptually to questions of identity and belonging. Quiet Storm stands as a self-produced, self-financed signature work that audibly raises Space Afrika to a new level.

Wraz. is a man on a mission. Not only has the Montreal native cemented his place as one of the most talented producers in the dubstep scene, but his incredible work ethic, energy, and passion—matched by his undeniable talent—mean his ascension is quite simply inevitable. DDD has been proud to play our part in his career journey, and things are taking another step forward with the phenomenal album Rites. A tour de force of audio sorcery, savagery, and sacrilege, Rites subjects the listener to Wraz.’ trademark mix of filthy 140 dubstep, thumping trap flavours, and industrial grittiness. This is expertly melded with stunning, captivating, suspense-filled interludes that provide counterpoints to the bass punishment in ways that are both tension-inducing, yet beautiful. Featuring collaborations with label bossmen Truth and DDD favourite Hypho, Wraz.’ sonic understanding of his craft feels unparalleled throughout. Each track brings its own unique flavour, while sitting together as a body of work with remarkable cohesion. Keep a lookout for this as the first DDD vinyl drop of 2026—alongside its full digital release—Rites marks a seismic moment for both Wraz. and the 140 scene. Wraz. is putting the world to Rites, while we’re living in his universe.

The “Blind Man” 12" by Nomine is released on Tempa and brings together three carefully crafted tracks that put a clear focus on space, low-end and subtle tension. The A-side opens with the title track “Blind Man”; on the B-side it’s followed by “To The Sky” featuring guest vocalist Lustina, and the rhythmically stripped-back “Nomine’s Robot.”

Musically, Nomine moves between dubstep and darker strains of bass music; the arrangements are sparse and atmospheric, building tension through precisely placed, accentuating elements such as scattered string fragments, film samples and low-frequency sub-bass impulses. “To The Sky” adds an almost fragile vocal line that lends the release an unexpected warmth, while “Nomine’s Robot” plays with a sub-swung steppers feel and shows the producer’s dancefloor-ready side.

With this release, Nomine underlines his ability to achieve a big impact with reduced material; the Tempa record fits neatly into his series of bass-driven releases and speaks equally to clubs and to listeners who appreciate atmospheric electronic music. Several retailers list the 12" both as the original 2015 pressing and as various repress editions, keeping the title present in DJs’ repertoires and collections.

Tenshu’s “Badda / Edge” 10" is released on Lion Charge, continuing the British label’s 10" vinyl series. The release brings together two tracks from Tenshu’s dubstep and dub catalog, with “Badda” having already attracted attention in the scene early on.

“Badda” has been played by numerous well-known DJs and producers from the dubstep and dub scenes. At the heart of the track is a smoothly integrated sample created as a tribute to the late Jamaican singer Billy Boyo. In this way, Tenshu combines the distinctive bass aesthetics of modern dubstep productions with a clear connection to Jamaican music culture.

With “Edge,” Tenshu adds a second track that rounds out the release as a classic two-track 10" from Lion Charge. The label is known for releases spanning dub, dubstep, and bass-heavy soundsystem music. “Badda / Edge” continues this direction with Tenshu and presents the producer in a format tailored for direct impact in the club and on the soundsystem.

The “Low Octave” 12" released on Deep Medi Musik by Von D is a compact three-track dubstep EP with a running time of approximately 14 minutes and 17 seconds; the digital release came out on October 23, 2026, and the 12" is scheduled for January 8, 2027. The record features the title track “Low Octave” along with the B-sides “Seven Senses” and “Arkitekts,” and the physical edition comes with a FLAC download included.

Von D describes the tracks as explicitly intended for sound-system use: “These tunes are really 'Sound System' music for me so i'm glad they'll finally see the light of the day on such a legendary label rooted in releasing sound system music”. The three compositions focus on low frequencies and rhythmic structures, with the title track holding the set together and the two B-sides expanding the spectrum. Deep Medi Musik is releasing the 12" in the context of its bass-oriented output, formally placing “Low Octave” within the label’s characteristic dubstep releases. The EP is already listed by retailers for pre-orders and additional offer information.

The “Liberated Dub” 12-inch by Echoboy, released on Moonshine, presents itself as a focused addition to the artist’s body of work in the field of dubstep. “Liberated Dub” brings the Echoboy project together in a clear, physically tangible release and explicitly anchors it in the 12-inch vinyl format, in line with Moonshine’s label catalog.

Musically, on “Liberated Dub” Echoboy links production techniques typical of dub with a contemporary dubstep aesthetic: the arrangements work with pronounced sub-bass, restrained melodic guidance, and a sense of space created through targeted use of effects. This combination relies on subtle dynamics and layered textures, allowing the tracks to unfold their impact both on sound systems and under attentive listening, without resorting to unnecessary ornamentation.

For some time now, Moonshine has been regularly releasing 12-inch editions within related strands of bass music, and with “Liberated Dub” Echoboy continues his collaboration with the label. The “Liberated Dub” 12-inch by Echoboy on Moonshine thus forms a consistent extension of the label’s profile in bass-oriented electronic music and adds a compact, production-wise dense dubstep calling card to its vinyl offerings.

The “Shadow Of Your Smile” 12-inch by Smith & Mighty, released on Three Stripe, marks the label’s return to vinyl after three decades. Founded by Smith & Mighty in 1988, Three Stripe emerged as a platform for local talent and the two producers’ own recordings. With this release, the label returns to its roots in the Bristol context. “Shadow Of Your Smile” deliberately places the name Smith & Mighty in a new chapter of the label’s history.

Musically, the 12-inch combines elements of classic dub production with a contemporary bass aesthetic; Smith & Mighty transfer their many years of experience with dub and downbeat arrangements into a dubstep-oriented sound. The tracks work with low-frequency bass lines, subtly placed effects and sparingly used percussion elements, creating space for reverberation and modulated signals. This approach to space and sub-bass directly reflects the duo’s production signature.

As a release on Three Stripe, “Shadow Of Your Smile” underscores both the label’s historical significance to the so-called Bristol sound and Smith & Mighty’s continuing role as producers who bring traditional dub techniques into contemporary bass music. The 12-inch thus offers a focused, studio-oriented snapshot of their ongoing interest in bass-driven electronic music.

The transparent blue vinyl edition of the “Signal EP” 12" by Rowl has been released on Smokin' Sessions and marks the label’s return to the vinyl format with a limited run. At the center of the release are four new cuts, with Rowl presenting a blend of deep 2-step, UK garage, and bass-driven dub sounds; the selection showcases both restrained groove work and precise sub control that continues the musical core of Smokin' Sessions.

The A-side opens with Versa & Rowl – “If You (Rowl’s Grey Skies Remix),” followed by the heavyweight 2-step roller “Signal,” while the B-side is led by “Sierra,” featuring Bristol vocalist P.A.B MC, and the record includes an exclusive instrumental version of “Sierra.” Vinyl cutting and mastering were handled by Beau Thomas at Ten Eight Seven, with the bass frequencies specifically optimized for vinyl playback. Early DJ feedback and support from within the scene confirm the club-readiness of individual tracks without diluting the quiet, detailed moments of the production.

The "Another Planet" 12-inch by 3WA is released on LoDubs and brings the Portuguese producer into the label’s catalog with a new Dubstep contribution. The release confirms 3WA’s consistent focus on heavyweight low-end work and focused production techniques, positioning it as a clear statement within bass music. LoDubs has stood for deep-rooted bass aesthetics for years; with "Another Planet," the label adds another rough-edged facet to that profile.

Musically, 3WA relies on dark tonal colors, forceful basslines, and precisely placed percussion that together create a dense, immediate atmosphere. The arrangements leave room for modular low-end developments and pointed sound design elements, allowing the 12-inch to have impact both in DJ sets and in focused studio listening. The sound stays gritty enough to get things moving while remaining controlled in its dynamics, so the production clearly bears 3WA’s signature. Fans of hard-hitting Dubstep will find in the "Another Planet" 12-inch on LoDubs another powerful example of contemporary bass craftsmanship.

The compilation “Tectonic Sound: Vol. 2” is released on the Tectonic label as an LP and comes as a limited-edition widespine pressing with black paper inner sleeves. The physical edition underscores the label’s curatorial approach: Pinch, founder of Tectonic, is responsible for the selection and, with this second volume, continues the series after the first “Tectonic Sound” collection was released in 2025.

Musically, “Tectonic Sound: Vol. 2” documents the intersections between deep, bass-driven electronic sound and club-ready, techno-leaning elements; many contributions were produced specifically for the series, reinforcing its cohesive overall aesthetic. The LP brings together tracks by renowned Tectonic artists and guests, including pieces by Pinch as well as selections from the extended label family that range from broken rhythms and half-step skank patterns through to driving, techno-leaning tools. The compilation emphasizes textured low-end work and a restrained, precise use of sound effects, offering on vinyl a focused, editorially curated selection from the label’s current output. For listeners interested in advanced forms of low-end electronic music, “Tectonic Sound: Vol. 2” provides a compact and internally consistent snapshot.

The “Methylene Blue EP” 12" by Delian Sound, released on Dimeshift, brings together four tracks that fuse film noir-inspired sound collages with driving breaks and gritty basslines. The arrangements lean on dense, dark textures and distinct rhythmic interjections; the title track “Methylene Blue” is defined by a compact structure just over four minutes long, while “Terouble” works with clattering snare accents and “Who Steps” puts the focus on the low end. “Thrilla” rounds off the EP with skewed percussion patterns and reverb-drenched synth pads.

The project is helmed by Delian Sound as sole producer; mastering was handled by Transition / Plantpower, with artwork by Future Curse. The release includes a dedication to Delia Derbyshire, Wendy Carlos, Vangelis, and King Tubby, and presents itself as an organic continuation of the artist’s previous records. Style-wise, the “Methylene Blue EP” resides in the dubstep universe, but clearly incorporates influences from breaks and dark garage, giving the four cuts a distinct balance between atmospheric density and dancefloor-focused directness.

Cadik’s “Tiger Heart” 12-inch, released on Artikal Music, marks the Hungarian producer’s second EP on the label. The release comprises four tracks and combines dubstep with a clear focus on 140 BPM. The title track, “Fire Keeper,” “Dub World,” and “Dub Specialist” form a compact selection of original productions.

Cadik is from Budapest and serves as the sole producer on “Tiger Heart.” Around the time of his first Artikal EP, “Lion Soul,” he presented a 100-percent production mix on SoundCloud featuring early versions of tracks later included on this release. The EP therefore has a clear connection to his previous contribution to the label and continues his bass-driven dubstep work.

The composition and production are by P. Sefal, with Stardelta handling the vinyl mastering and Height Sonics responsible for the digital mastering. Nikon One created the artwork. Limited to 300 copies, the 12-inch is released by Artikal Music under the title “Tiger Heart” and complements the digital release with a dedicated vinyl edition.

Released on Deep Medi Musik, the “Shutdown” 12" by Chad Dubz marks his fourth outing on the label and delivers three dubstep tracks crafted explicitly for sound system play. The Bristol-based producer opts for compact arrangements and punchy low-end frequencies that have an immediate impact in club settings. The three cuts — “Shutdown,” “Mosquito,” and “Stampede” — follow a clear, rhythm- and bass-driven structure, with each track’s tight running time allowing for direct deployment on the dancefloor. The stripped-back instrumentation keeps the focus on groove and sub frequencies rather than expansive melodic lines.

With a total runtime of around 12:16 minutes, Chad Dubz presents the EP both digitally and as a 12" vinyl, making the release equally accessible for DJs and sound system sets. “Shutdown” documents the artist’s ongoing collaboration with Deep Medi Musik and slots seamlessly into his existing body of work within the contemporary bass music scene. The concise structure of the productions emphasizes functionality and club-readiness, underscoring Chad Dubz’s focus on heavy-hitting club music from Bristol.

The "P***" 12" by Blocklab appears on White Peach and brings together four cuts: A1 "P***" (feat. Yunis), A2 "Errie," B1 "Leon," and B2 "Gargantua." The record is scheduled for release in 2026 by White Peach and continues Blocklab’s focus on low‑frequency bass forms and vocal‑driven dubs.

On this 12", Blocklab works with familiar tools of London bass culture: precisely programmed drums, carefully sculpted sub‑bass, and production that leaves room for textures and small melodic motifs. Yunis’s presence on the title track gives the A‑side opener an additional vocal dimension without dissolving the dark, club‑oriented structure of the arrangements. White Peach regularly positions such releases in the wide field between dubstep, UK bass, and contemporary 140 formats, a stance also reflected in the label’s characteristic aesthetic.

The label credits list V. S. Suntsov and S. V. Golubiu as writers and producers of the tracks; for "P***," J. Grambach is additionally credited. The concise track selection allows for a focused presentation of different tempos and moods, from atmospherically dense moments to direct, club‑ready bass patterns. This 12" confirms Blocklab’s consistent engagement with the bass sector and expands their range with a singularly deployed voice.

The "Dimensions EP" by Silas is available as a 12-inch and continues the producer’s close relationship with the Sneaker Social Club label. Following his full debut on Sneaker in 2024, the Oxford-born artist returns with new variations on grime that further develop his characteristic approach to tempo and atmosphere.

Musically, the EP moves between tight, jittery arrangements and retro-futurist soundscapes. The A-side opens with the title track "Dimensions," built from razor-sharp string stabs and skewed, cubist drums; "Vapour" and "Entangle" pursue a sci-fi-inflected aesthetic with distant pads and driving rhythmic sculptures, while "Stateless" echoes the gently otherworldly trance tracks of the ’90s. This clear stylistic through-line makes the release both dancefloor-focused and engaging for concentrated listening.

Silas stays true to his roots in UK club culture, linking classic grime elements with modern production approaches that emphasize precision and space. The "Dimensions EP" presents him as a producer who uses sparse means to sketch a dense, atmospheric picture, underscoring Sneaker Social Club’s programmatic orientation within the contemporary bass and grime cosmos.

Soul Ex Machina continues the Semplate series with its third installment, welcoming Sibla for a three-track EP rooted in the foundations of early dubstep and shaped by a strong jazz sensibility. Named after its opening track, "The Seekers" explores spacious arrangements, refined musicianship and carefully sculpted low-end, drawing a natural connection between soundsystem culture and contemporary harmonic language.

"The Seekers" opens the record with rolling jazz-inflected drums, deep dub weight and a dim, immersive atmosphere, unfolding with patience and quiet confidence. "Paper Bags" shifts the mood through harsh textures, subtle dissonance and restrained percussion, building tension without sacrificing space or balance. Closing the release, "Pace" settles into a driving stepper rhythm, where flowing grooves, precise basslines and understated melodies bring the EP to a focused, purposeful finish.

The "Treading Dub" 12" by Manami, released on Bait, brings together four distinctive cuts that showcase her take on bass music and club-oriented textures. The record opens with the atmospheric "Unsaid," moves through the powerful title track and a "Moonlight" carried by Eklipse, and closes with the driving final piece "Loosen."

Manami, who hails from Tokyo and developed her musical practice in the UK, works as a DJ, producer, and trained pianist; this multifaceted background shapes both her DJ sets and her productions. Her approach fuses classical melodicism with contemporary bass forms, giving equal space to elements of ambient, dub techno, and dark club structures. Bait, the label curated by Beatrice M., provides a fitting context for this.

Musically, the "Treading Dub" 12" moves between a crackling lo-fi aesthetic and heavy sub-bass architecture: delicate synth pads and diffuse layers of sound contrast with precise, rattling dub chords and tight percussion patterns. The feature with Eklipse stands out as a vocal moment that feels almost spoken, adding an extra narrative layer to the set. Overall, the release reveals the breadth of Manami’s sonic vision and her ability to connect intricate melodicism with raw low-end impact.

South Coast artist Howman lands back on DNO Records for his second outing, ‘Trap Eastwood’. First introducing his heavyweight fusion of rock, hip-hop, dubstep and electronica via his outstanding 2023 debut, ‘Moon Operator’, the multi-instrumentalist and producer returns with a refined palette. Still bearing the first class musicality, rich layering and imaginative sonics that we’ve come to expect, the new EP is more stylistically focused than its predecessor. This time, Howman homes in on a spot somewhere in the 140/dubstep/trap sphere, decorating it with digital fizz, alien bleeps, snarling bass, and the signature gruff twang of guitar that makes his music feel deeply personal and eternally human.

The title track is perhaps the most prominent example of the latter, where Howman’s Western-esque riff conjures up the tension before a duel at high noon, while the bend and wobble of each string shapes the movement of the track like the curves of a rattlesnake.
But it’s a constant from the start, like on opener ‘Strip Search’, with its cinematic guitar intro, and combination of repetitive keys, earnest strings and bear-hug bass that nods to classic hip-hop.
Or closer ‘Fatigue’, where the layers of stuttering plucks, emotive melody and scratchy slide noises form a downtrodden soundscape plagued by police sirens and punctured by “Champion Sound” snippets.
On ‘Navigator’, Howman’s approach is more subtle: fluttering strums and a simple bassline creating a brooding, enigmatic vibe in stark contrast to the urgent, alarm-like stabs which first grip the attention.

Throughout there is an overriding sense of the unknown. ‘No Spring’ weaves drawn-out flute notes, tinkling percussion, super-massive 808 lows and spurts of breakbeat into a twisting, winding thing that wants to lure and enchant. While ‘Frosty’ is as ice cold as its name suggests, murderous bass meeting a spidery piano melody in dread-inducing matrimony — along with snatched words from some familiar faces outside a Berlin edition of THE MINE.

Produced between 2022 and 2025 across various locations, influenced by Howman having to move into more solo live performance (as opposed to his previous band setups), and miraculously surviving a catastrophic data loss incident, the EP is a snapshot of disruption focused into creative cohesion. We’ve been told, however, that it’s not a new direction or a sign of things to come, which only serves to make his next release that much more enticing, that much more of a mystery.

Rhythms of postmodern realism at the very bottom of the DNO.

Linda Lo’s 12-inch “Masa,” released on Time Is Now, presents the Los Angeles-based producer and DJ with a concise blend of styles that connects Latin American dance music and British club culture. On the 12-inch EP “Masa,” Linda Lo combines mambo, samba, and salsa with elements of UK garage, dubstep, and driving club rhythms, bringing rhythmic complexity together with subsonic bass foundations. The arrangements rely on punctuated percussion, syncopated breaks, and stripped-back yet effective substructures that can make an impact both on the dance floor and in a DJ set. With “Masa,” Time Is Now delivers a release that positions Linda Lo at the intersection of distinctive Latin aesthetics and contemporary bass sounds. For fans of rhythmic hybridity and dark club grooves, “Masa” is a striking addition to the Time Is Now label catalog.

The “Spitting Image” 12" by Sentient on RUINS comes as white vinyl with black splatter and is delivered in a fully printed cover. The release includes, in addition to the 12", a digital version that has been available since June 17, 2026; according to the announcement, the vinyl pressing is expected to ship at the end of August 2026. With this, RUINS continues its series of curated bass editions and presents the production in a cleanly designed physical edition.

Musically, the “Spitting Image” EP documents six tracks: “Spitting Image,” “Intricacy,” “Intricacy (Fragmented Version),” “Scatterbug,” “Ad Nauseam,” as well as a new version of “Ad Nauseam” by Dutch producer Mob killa. On this release, Sentient works with heavy, cross-genre soundscapes that unfold into nuanced bass structures and sharply defined rhythmic edges. The arrangements move between forceful low-end and intricate detail, giving the tracks a dense, often machine-like dynamic. Mob killa’s remix adds extra sub-depth and industrial textures to the material, rounding out the set as a varied, dubstep-based EP. This RUINS edition thus offers a physical format that appeals to both collectors and fans of experimental bass music.

The “Guacha” 12-inch by Son Of Kick, released on Equinox, brings the original 2010 single back into circulation and is offered as a limited vinyl edition sourced from the label’s remaining stock. The release on Equinox features the track “Guacha” in its well-known single version and adds the powerful companion cut “Revolution B,” as well as the extended “Guacha Rekix” version, which brings together several guest contributions. Son Of Kick and Equinox are deliberately presenting the 12-inch as a physical reminder of the track’s club and radio run, with the record offered as an original pressing from the label archives.

Musically, “Guacha” combines driving basslines with hip hop–inspired beats and centers on the distinctive, catchy vocal performance by Natalia Clavier, which defines the chorus. The French guests add extra punch: Disiz contributes rap verses, Grems appears as a guest on the “Guacha Rekix” version and also created the included collectible poster insert. On the Rekix version, Micro Coz further boosts the vocal presence, so the B-side conceptually extends the single. The combination of Son Of Kick’s production, Natalia Clavier’s vocals, and the French features makes the Equinox 12-inch a compact reissue of a track that already garnered attention back in 2010 and is now once again available in physical form.

Originally released on Moonshine, the “Dread Commandments” 12" by Radikal Guru is set to return in 2026 as a vinyl repress, bringing the title prominently back into physical rotation. Radikal Guru sits at the center of the release, Moonshine carries the production as the label, and the 12" underscores the format-flexible presentation concept of the record. The mention of “Dread Commandments” remains the key identifier of the release.

Musically, the 12" clearly moves within a dubstep context and relies on the typical stylistic vocabulary of that field. Sub-bass layers are used as a foundational element, while reverb-heavy textures and selective delay effects create space. Rhythmically, stripped-down patterns and deliberate pauses stand out, emphasizing the dynamics and impact of the arrangements. Radikal Guru’s handling of bass frequencies and spatial elements defines the sonic profile of the record.

The production on Moonshine places emphasis on clear mixing and physical playback, so the 12" is intended to have impact both on sound systems with strong low end and in focused listening situations. For fans of “Dread Commandments” and followers of Radikal Guru, this repress offers direct access to the artist’s proven sound aesthetic.

The “Nobody Else” 12" by Raz & Kalbata, released on Rnk, combines electronic production with a distinctive reggae feature: guest vocalist Clapper Priest contributes the vocals, lending the track a militant presence with his commanding voice. Set at 120 BPM, “Nobody Else” deliberately draws on classic dubstep elements; the arrangement relies on extended phrasing and plenty of space for subsonic frequencies, while Clapper Priest’s delivery stands out through clear, authoritative lines.

The song builds its impact around pure low-end bass and aims for maximum force in club and sound-system contexts; the composition is repeatedly interrupted by precise percussive flourishes and atmospheric textures. Lyrically, it directly addresses the self-employed—“Special request to all the self-employed!”—serving as a motto or hook and adding further sharpness to the vocal performance. The release is rounded out by an equally heavy instrumental that showcases the bass architecture and production details without vocals, giving DJs and producers alike room for their own interpretations. Raz & Kalbata’s 12" on Rnk thus delivers a concentrated, bass-focused exploration of dubstep aesthetics, driven by Clapper Priest’s distinctive presence.

Strong doses of UKG, wormhole techno and dubstep course through the veins of this muscular four-deep drop, but the London-based producer's metabolism strips the strands down to an atomic level and rebuilds the dance in his own design. 'Drift Into Dread' shaped by rugged, noisy percussion steering towards mind-melting immersion. 'Vintage Gilly' has a much starker sound palette, all crackling drums sparking static interference into negative space. The 2-step swagger is unmistakable on 'Godkiller'. 'Glass Eater' closes the record out with cavernous dub techno chords, overdriven bass harmonics and teeth-grinding noise.

“Intakt” by Plastikstrom is being released as an LP on Young & Cold, in a limited edition on transparent green vinyl with black speckles. The release contains eleven tracks and is aimed at listeners interested in contemporary forms of dark wave and electro; the colored vinyl underscores the collectible nature of the edition.

Musically, the record combines dark layers of synthesis with crisp electronic beats and touches of EBM and new wave. It is characterized by sparse yet striking arrangements that rely on gloomy melodies and a cool, focused production; vocals and synthesizers are front and center, while rhythmic impulses drive the tracks forward. This combination of electronic sharpness and nostalgic chill shapes the project’s style.

Plastikstrom emerged from earlier projects and is primarily made up of founding members Matthias Günzler and Schips; the shift from guitar-driven material to pure electronic sounds is part of their development. The new record connects to previous releases on Young & Cold and documents the band’s continued exploration of dark electronic soundscapes.

Released on Deep Medi Musik, the LP "Past Life" brings together eight tracks in which Kahn positions himself between bass‑weight and atmospheric depth. The double LP transfers the producer’s characteristic, sound system‑oriented approach to a broader format and leaves room for extended structures: from the ominous opener "Curfew" and the driving "Conqueror" to the title track on the second half of the record.

Musically, "Past Life" harks back to earlier facets of Kahn’s work without abandoning contemporary elements; basslines and stripped‑down, dark melodies shape the sound, while percussion and spatial effects crank up the pressure. This balance between a vintage aesthetic and modern production runs through tracks like "Totentanz" and "Drawing Breath" just as much as through the contemplative closing piece "Be Not Afeard."

Key production details are made explicit: mastering is by Lewis at Star Delta, artwork was designed by Joshua Hughes‑Games, and manufacturing was handled by Intakt! Berlin, allowing the physical edition to fully bring out its dense, rich sound. "Past Life" presents Kahn as a producer who honors his roots while also setting nuanced contemporary accents — a release that clearly marks out his position within the deep‑bass spectrum.

The "Sacred Amulet EP" by Adel Force is released as a 12" on Dub Hustle and comes in a printed sleeve. The release sits firmly in a dubstep context, focusing on deep sub-bass, reverb-soaked dub textures, and precisely placed rhythmic accents. Sonic contrasts between weighty basslines and airy effects structure the tracks, so the record is conceived equally for club play and focused listening.

Adel Force steps forward here as a producer, drawing on experience he has gathered under earlier project names on international labels and in DJ environments; his approach fuses dance-oriented energy with experimental dub elements. Previous releases reveal a preference for clear, dancefloor-focused arrangements, while his sound remains characterized by dense atmospheres and meticulous sonic detail. The music often works with descending frequencies, isolated bursts of noise, and a sparing use of vocals that heightens tension without overshadowing the instrumental focus.

Notable aspects of this edition are the physical 12" format and the printed sleeve, which position the work as a tangible statement within current dubstep productions. For DJs, the record offers distinctive, bass-heavy cuts; for listeners, it provides a compact glimpse into Adel Force’s production aesthetic on Dub Hustle.

The “Floor Clearing Dub” 12" by Hebbe was released on White Peach and brings together four tracks that combine classic dub aesthetics with a contemporary 140/dubstep approach. On the A-side you’ll find “Floor Clearing Dub” and “Illa,” while the B-side features “Relou” and “Small Town Dub.” All tracks were written and produced by H. Versteegh.

Now firmly rooted in the Dutch 140 scene, Hebbe is known for his dense, bass-driven sound and the gritty texture of his productions. This 12" follows that path: the arrangements rely on deep sub-bass foundations, sparsely used drum patterns, and carefully placed effects work. Reverb and delay carve out wide spaces, while precise filter use shifts the frequency bands and opens up room for powerful bass hits.

The tracks showcase Hebbe’s penchant for minimalist density and stripped-back, dub-focused mixes in which spatial design and low-end presence dominate. The productions remain unapologetically instrumental; vocals or guest features are not listed. As a White Peach release, the 12" slots seamlessly into Hebbe’s discography and documents his ongoing engagement with heavy bass landscapes and the dub-oriented side of modern bass music.

The LP "Blason" by Blason is released on Bruit Direct and brings together two long compositions that explore the relationship between live performance and studio work. Side A is titled "Boundary missing a reactor," side B is called "How to drink Gyokuro with a casual mind" (20:25). The work shows a preference for dense textures, recurring impulses, and precisely controlled dynamics that oscillate between suggestion and revelation.

"Boundary missing a reactor" was created in the studio as a version of the concerts Blason played in 2022 (including Non-Jazz at Le Générateur in Gentilly and on September 30 at Blockhaus DY10 in Nantes). The pieces are not an exact repetition of earlier work, but a compressed, crystallized form of what was presented at the time; failed reproductions were deliberately turned into a new composition. This approach, interweaving performance and post-production, shapes the group’s signature.

"How to drink Gyokuro with a casual mind" grew out of preparations for a performance at Présences Électronique in March 2024 and was recorded in advance at the INA GRM studios. The release is a co-production with tanzprocesz and was mastered by Julien Louvet. Blason is characterized by a fine sense of timing, reduced sonic textures, and the shifting of expectations, with the track titles deliberately leaving room for associations.

The LP “Everytime” by Sixth June brings together the duo’s debut material in a compact, stylistically assured collection and has been reissued as a repress by Young & Cold. The record presents twelve tracks that mark the transition from post–new wave to dark electronics, combining clear song structures with electronic textures.

Musically, “Everytime” moves between darkwave, dark electro, and synth-pop; distinctive synthesizer sounds meet restrained yet compelling melodies. Characteristic of Sixth June is the combination of a warmly timbred female voice and sparse yet richly detailed arrangements that create a nocturnal, noir-like atmosphere. Lyrics and delivery rely more on mood than on expansive imagery, allowing songs such as “Never Leave Me” or the title track to maintain their intensity.

The project is the work of Lidija Andonov (vocals) and Laslo Antal; the songs come from joint compositions, were written and recorded in Belgrade and Subotica, and were produced, arranged, and mixed by Laslo Antal. For the reissue version, the material was remastered and supplemented with additional content, so that “Everytime” offers both newcomers and collectors a documentary snapshot of the early work of Sixth June.

The 12-inch release “Don't Ask Why” by Hijinx brings together four tracks, including the title track on the A-side featuring guest vocals by Vitamin G, as well as an instrumental version. The record is coming out on London label White Peach as a limited run of 300 copies, with the release slated for May 2026.

Musically, Hijinx relies on a blend of dubstep foundations and subtle garage elements, complemented by touches of grime and UK bass; it is characterized by dark samples and melodic fragments that define his production style. The collaboration with Vitamin G pushes a vocal dimension to the forefront, while the remaining cuts stay vocally sparse and emphasize rhythmic depth. Hijinx has already appeared on White Peach with earlier releases and is regarded there as a producer known for experimentally heavy arrangements.

As for production and pressing details: the artwork is by Kasper Plougmand, the cutting was done at Transition, and manufacturing and distribution are also handled by White Peach. The tracklist includes, in addition to “Don't Ask Why (feat. Vitamin G),” the tracks “In Ur Head” and “Another Time,” with the A-side clocking in at around three minutes as a concise single mix.

The 12" “Respek / He Said She Said” by Imp Batch, released on Dream Eater, brings together two early grime tracks by the artist and appears under catalog number DREAMEATER014. The A-side features “Respek,” the AA-side “He Said She Said,” and the release deliberately leans into the raw sound of the early 2000s as it was heard on street sessions and local radio back then.

Musically, Imp Batch builds on the characteristic hallmarks of the genre: hard, punchy drum patterns, concise MC performances, and a gritty arrangement that leaves little room for unnecessary frills. Especially striking is the use of the so‑called Gype/sing‑along riddim, which provides a driving foundation in both tracks and gives the tunes a distinctive groove. Lyrics and delivery remain immediate and direct, allowing the tracks to retain their early character.

As a reissue, this 12" offers both long‑time grime listeners and new discoverers the chance to experience two formative snapshots of Imp Batch’s work on vinyl. With it, Dream Eater presents a compact, stripped‑down release that emphasizes the historical context of the tracks without weighing them down.

The “Terrenal EP” by ALLD33333 is being released as a 12-inch on Luzerna and offers a focused exploration of the connection between the physical and the emotional. The tracks move between contemplative moments and more direct sections geared toward the dance floor, while a steady groove at the musical core holds everything together. With this EP, Luzerna presents an initial statement that sharply defines the artistic voice of ALLD33333.

The record brings together five cuts — “Prueba,” “Instrucciones,” “Desaprendiendo,” “Uno,” and a remix of “Verano” by Ishin Denshin that adds further dimensions to the release. The arrangements draw on warm low-end, rhythmic patterns, and a balance of club-ready passages and introspective sections. This is where ALLD33333’s defining trait comes into focus: an immediate, organic production approach that ties rhythm and emotion together.

The artwork is shaped by the visual contribution of Manuel Cetina (El_Stitch), who gives the record a distinctive visual language. The production follows an intuitive working method that leaves room for nuance while maintaining a clear structure, resulting in an EP that resonates both in the club and in private listening, making the artist’s personal background — rooted in Patagonia, shaped in Buenos Aires — distinctly audible.

With Dispersion, Loom & Thread return to the volatile architecture of the expanded piano trio - and quietly fracture it from within.

Daniel Klein (drums), Tobias Fröhlich (double bass) and Tom Schneider (keys, sampler) remain the sole agents on stage and in the final recording. The triangle holds. And yet, the field has expanded. For their second studio album, the trio fed their improvisations with the timbral signatures of guest saxophone and vibraphone players - not just as additional voices to be featured, but also as material to be absorbed, atomized and redistributed. The result is not augmentation but thorough refraction.

Where the debut album explored the recursive labyrinth of Schneider's live sampling of his own piano, Dispersion introduces an external grain into the feedback system. Breath and metal. Reed turbulence and struck resonance. The trio sampled extended improvisations by saxophone and vibes players: Victor Fox, Asger Nissen, Volker Heuken, and L&T's own Daniel Klein; dissected their attacks, overtones and decay curves, and integrated these fragments into the trio's internal circuitry. What emerges is a play of presences without bodies - instrumental ghosts circulating through the dense weave of rhythm and keys.

At first, one might hear the familiar relational tension: Klein's polyrhythmic elasticity interlocking with Fröhlich's tensile double bass figurations, Schneider poised at the hinge between tonal field and percussive impulse. But soon, the surface splinters - again. A vibraphone shimmer appears, yet no mallets are visible. A reed multiphonic surges through the texture, bending space between bass and drums. These events are neither quotations nor overlays; they are redistributed energies, dispersed across the trio's grammar. A digital multidimensional interplay ensues.

If the first album unfolded as a two-tiered game - live phrase and sampled reflection - Dispersion adds a further axis. The sampled materials from other improvisers are stripped of their erstwhile two-way interaction and reconstituted as malleable particles. Signifier detached from origin, resonance detached from gesture. The trio navigates a constantly shifting topology in which acoustic memory and electronic manipulation are indistinguishable.

Crucially, the album never abandons the physical urgency of three musicians reacting in real time. The additional timbral layers do not thicken the texture into opacity; rather, they introduce stark points and arrows of diffraction. Density opens into prismatic clarity. Lines splinter and regroup. What seems like a quartet or quintet collapses back into three bodies negotiating an expanded field.

Dispersion is not about addition but about distribution - of agency, of timbre, of temporal perspective. It is an album in which the trio setting becomes a site of multiplicity without surrendering its immediacy. A dissolution not only of the divide between present experience and memory, but between inside and outside, self and other.

Three musicians. Countless vectors. A music that fractures in order to cohere.

After a long hiatus broken by their inclusion in Om Unit's final epic Acid Dub Versions set, Alter Echo & E3 step out once more with the four-track “No Peace EP.”

With past releases on storied labels including ZamZam Sounds, Moonshine, Scrub A Dub, Lion Charge, LavaLava, and Khaliphonic, the duo opted to forego labels for this one, instead dropping the first release on their own AEE3 imprint.

The main mix of the title tune is a pounding dystopian slow-stepper collab with old friend & sparring partner Ishan Sound, dusted off and rebuilt after years on dubplate. Shot-through with stinging percussion, swirling with leaden atmospherics and dread truths, this one’s an absolutely uncompromising piece of supremely heavy steppers.

RSD’s remix opts for crystal clarity, extra layers of percussion, an emotional mid-range melody, and of course the huge bassweight Rob Smith is known & loved the world over for.

Om Unit’s “Kaliuyga Verse” recenters the tune on deeply spiritual indigenous wisdom spoken by Floyd “Red Crow” Westerman. This long-form rework fleshes out the instrumentation with classic UK dub percussion and FX, plus flute and much more, transmuting the original’s darkness into something magisterial and hopeful while maintaining absolute heaviness.

AEE3’s "Southeast Rock" closes the EP with a slower tempo meditation powered by a melodic bassline, chopped drums, dub tech stabs and righteous horns, an introspective ganja tune that will stay with you long after the runout groove.

Ruby My Dear returns to Analogical Force with Iterations EP -- five cuts of precision-engineered electronica forged from repetition and control.

Originally conceived for a videomapping project by Barcelona-based studio VPM and premiered at SIGNAL and MIRA festivals the music quickly evolved beyond its audiovisual origins into a fully independent sonic work. Razor-edged IDM, glitched breakcore and high-velocity drum programming collide with dark harmonic pressure and microscopic detail. Brutal yet deliberate. Chaotic yet exact. "Midnight Request Line / I" by Skream was released as a 12-inch single and is regarded as a milestone in the history of electronic music. The 2005 release on Tempa is seen by many critics and DJs as a key reference point for early dubstep, marking the moment when the uncompromising sound from London’s underground clubs began to receive widespread attention.

The single brings together two instrumental tracks: On the A-side, "Midnight Request Line" stands out with a distinctive vocal sample ("I'd like to hear a new beat on the request line"), a deep sub-bass line, and melancholic, memorable synth melodies. The delicate melodies contrast with the crushing bass foundation, while the B-side track "I" emphasizes the dark, shadowy side of that formative phase of dubstep. Both tracks exemplify the stripped-back, space- and bass-focused aesthetic that shaped the style.

The artist behind the project is Oliver Jones, better known under his alias Skream; the track was created when he was still very young and played a major role in bringing the sound of his hometown Croydon and its club culture to international attention. The clear production, sparse yet impactful instrumentation, and balance between melancholy and subsonic weight make this 12-inch a defining historical reference point in Skream’s body of work and in the canon of the genre.

Dubstep, not Dubstep? Originally released in 2002, The Red EP was a bold fusion of Techno and Garage from the mind of Artwork. Drawing from his "Grain" techno project and the UKG sound he championed for years, this release laid the groundwork for what the world would soon call Dubstep — or did it? Broken beat/Bruk dons Bugz In The Attic were hammering Red in their sets, including this title on their “Fabriclive” mix CD in 2003 which shone further light on the EP, helping it soar in demand once again. “The Red EP” has never been repressed until now, with second hand copies exchanging hands for highs of £100 and lows of £40. Big Apple Records boss John Kennedy is blessing us with this repress which is a must have, even if you have the original, because now after Artwork found an unreleased gem on a DAT, we have added the find “relic”. The latest wayward soundsystem sonics on the Social come from Wroclaw in Poland courtesy of dadan karambolo. As part of the strictly legit Splot crew karambolo is spearheading a vibrant community of bassweight freaks digesting all the best misfit club music from the cracks between — a hint of dubstep, a twist of techno and plenty of advanced sound design, all poured into a thoroughly modern, richly realised brew.

Having previously snuck tunes out on Splot’s in-house label and the respected Awkwardly Social crew out of Berlin, karambolo delivers an extended statement with his Sneaker Special Club debut. Subtle pressure is the order of the day as he zeroes in on evocative soundscaping and a subdued mood, all while piling on ample low end intensity and edging some sharp angles out of the meditative roll. Even when minuscule slithers of amen breaks sneak into ‘Awkward Expression’, the ambience remains somewhere between dream and dread while ‘Huskarl’ scatters industrial jackhammers across a vast tundra of drone.

‘Done For’ steps forward a touch more forthright with its grime-coded bass spasms, deploying the kind of bludgeoning physicality and ruthless reduction you might associate with fellow Sneaker alumni, Mars89. ‘Burbot’ also switches the script for a cheeky B3 that toys with 80s electro chopped into a snappy breakbeat and underpinned with a sticky synth line. Sidestepping direct dancefloor routes in search of different ways to achieve movement in the club, karambolo has more than matched the over-arching Sneaker ideal with an assured, original transmission from the outer limits of the soundsystem.

A tiny camel keyring tossed around on a contact mic and run through an ancient plate reverb makes up most of the percussions, odd ad-libs and wooshes in "The Itch". A 60 ton bass growl of mesozoic depth and some messed up hihats nicked from a previously d

An elusive and quiet figure amidst the Portuguese electronic scene, Timóteo Azevedo aka Random Gods releases his debut album on Discrepant's sub label Souk after his killer appearance in the long sold out 'Antologia de Música Atípica Portuguesa Vol. 2' compilation back in 2019.

With two previous EPs on Danse Noire and Zabra, Random Gods' futurist visions project themselves through a scav-enger-like body music assembled from the hopes and debris of these uncertain and dread-inducing times. Rituals con-jured from metal shards, blunted kickdrums, submerged basslines, reverberating textures, cut up vocals and lazer guided melodies.

The orchestral runs of opener 'Abertura' as a glimmer of nervous light into the deep end bass weight meditations on syn-copated kicks and grimey synth stabs of 'Somatiga'. Slow burner 'Pneuma' conjures neon synth lines into its halfstep flow, while 'Acervo' complicates the rhythm further with its profusion of crumbling kickdrums, tossed off claps and tonal percussion. 'Prumoo' dwells deeper into post-industrial ardkore nuum with its merciless drum patterns and molten basslines and 'Alvoro' feels like footwork taken into those same wastelands, with a nervous percussive backbone from some ancient future - take that as you will. Closer 'Ex.Tejo' brims with a certain sunrise melancholy among the storm as if there's still some hope after all.

Let's hold on to it.

Repress 2025 -

Poland's finest reggae dubstep export is back to guide us through the long dark winter with his highly anticipated second studio album, Subconcious. Mat Miller solidified his position as one of the most exciting global ambassadors for the sound with his 2011 debut album and he returns to the mighty Moonshine Recordings with another killer full length selection of thick dread bassweight and proper roots vibes. Matt's influences have always been varied, and his music's rich diversity is in full effect across the LP as he adeptly shifts between tempos and moods, utilizing his ear for melody and rhythm to create an absorbing collection of timeless sounds. The ground shaking sub-frequencies central to each track are built to challenge soundsystems and ignite dancefloors, whether it's on the livewire rhythms of his jungle indebted track "Wicked Dub", the driving sonic force of the drum and bass styled "Different Dub" or the dubbed out, skank-ready movements of tracks like "Earthwalker" and "Indra". As well as the all-powerful bass pressure, Radikal Guru works with a colorful array of instrumentation, and brings in characterful vocalists YT, Danman and Echo Ranks to provide melodic lead and reggae lyricism on "Stay Calm", "Know Yourself" and "Warning!" respectively. The final result is shining example of modern roots/ reggae-centred music in 2013, executed brilliantly and certain to last the test of time.
