It not only fits the MK7 perfectly, but is also compatible with all Technics SL-1200 and SL-1210 models from MK2 through MK6. On these earlier generations you can continue using the existing hinges, so the cover opens and closes just like you're used to. On the SL-1210MK7 itself there are no mounting points for hinge brackets; here the cover is simply placed on top and rests securely on the designated support points.
