CHROMAKOPIA is the eighth studio album by Tyler, the Creator, released on October 28, 2024 via Columbia Records. As with his earlier works, Tyler took full creative control—writing, producing, and arranging the entire record himself. Musically, CHROMAKOPIA blends hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and soul, evoking the warmth and introspection of Flower Boy and Igor. Guest appearances include Daniel Caesar, Doechii, GloRilla, LaToiya Williams, Lil Wayne, Lola Young, Santigold, ScHoolboy Q, Sexyy Red, and Teezo Touchdown, with Playboi Carti featured on physical editions.

Conceptually, the album unfolds like a personal diary narrated by Tyler’s mother, Bonita Smith, which gives it an intimate, autobiographical tone. Thematically it revolves around memory, identity, fear, fame, and self-discovery. Songs such as “Noid” explore paranoia and the pressures of public life, while “Like Him” reflects on Tyler’s complicated relationship with his absent father. The album’s structure—marked by abrupt transitions, contrasting moods, and stylistic shifts—is often interpreted as deliberate, capturing the creative chaos of reflection and emotional growth. The title CHROMAKOPIA hints at “chroma” (color), serving as a metaphor for individuality, expression, and emotional complexity.

The record contains 14 tracks, including standouts like “Noid”, “Sticky” (featuring GloRilla, Lil Wayne, and Sexyy Red), and “Like Him” (with Lola Young). “Noid” notably samples “Nizakupanga Ngozi” (1977) by the Ngozi Family. Despite its unusual Monday release, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling around 299,500 units in its first week—Tyler’s strongest debut yet. It also reached the top spot in several other countries, including the UK, Australia, the Netherlands, and Ireland.

Critics widely praised CHROMAKOPIA for its emotional honesty, rich production, and ambitious scope, calling it one of Tyler’s most mature and introspective works to date. Some reviewers described it as intentionally messy or overwhelming, but even those critiques acknowledged the album’s fearless creativity and depth.

To support the release, Tyler launched the CHROMAKOPIA World Tour in 2025, featuring Lil Yachty and Paris Texas as supporting acts. Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) is the debut album by the Wu-Tang Clan, released on November 9, 1993, through Loud Records and RCA Records. It is widely regarded as one of the most influential hip-hop albums of all time and marked a turning point for the East Coast rap scene of the early 1990s. The title refers to classic kung fu films, especially The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, symbolizing the group’s spiritual and combative energy. Producer and mastermind RZA designed the Wu-Tang Clan as a revolutionary concept: nine MCs — RZA, GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa — performing as one unit while simultaneously pursuing solo careers on different labels. This “five-year plan,” as RZA called it, became a blueprint for how hip-hop collectives could operate as both a group and a network of individual artists.

Musically, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) is raw, unpolished, and uncompromising. RZA produced nearly all of the beats with minimal equipment, which gave the album its distinct lo-fi and gritty sound. He combined hard, crackling drum loops with samples from soul and funk records, along with snippets of dialogue from old kung fu movies. The result was a dark, atmospheric soundscape that perfectly captured the energy and tension of 1990s New York City streets. This production style would go on to define the East Coast sound and influence an entire generation of producers.

Lyrically, the album blends street realism with spiritual, philosophical, and cultural references. Themes of poverty, loyalty, violence, and survival are interwoven with ideas drawn from martial arts and the teachings of the Five Percent Nation. Each MC brings a distinct personality and vocabulary, making the Wu-Tang Clan a kind of microcosm of New York hip-hop — chaotic, creative, and fiercely individualistic, yet united by a shared vision.

The album features several now-classic tracks, including “Bring da Ruckus,” “Shame on a Nigga,” “Can It Be All So Simple,” “Protect Ya Neck,” and especially “C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me),” which became one of the most iconic hip-hop songs of all time. Tracks like “Method Man” and “Wu-Tang: 7th Chamber” showcase the raw energy and collective chemistry of the group. Denis Villenueve’s masterful Blade Runner 2049 races into theaters this weekend and the film’s accompanying soundtrack, composed by legendary film score maestro Hans Zimmer, is now streaming in full.

The score was composed in tandem by Zimmer and his longtime collaborator Benjamin Wallfisch. The duo was brought in somewhat later in the production process, after the score’s initial composer, Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, ceased involvement due to creative differences.

Villeneuve explained his decision to replace Jóhannsson with Zimmer in an interview with Al Arabiya. “The thing I will say is that making movies is a laboratory,” he explained. “The movie needed something different, and I needed to go back to something closer to [the original film’s composer] Vangelis. Jóhann and I decided that I will need to go in another direction — that’s what I will say.”

The decision seemingly paid off, as Clint Worthington notes in his review of the film: “[Zimmer and Wallfisch] lean heavily on Vangelis’ original 1982 score for inspiration, but 2049 is refreshingly light on incidental music, mostly allowing the booming, immersive sound design to take center stage.”

As Editor-in-Chief Michael Roffman writes in his glowing A- review, the score is “a total evolution of what Vangelis set in motion way, way back in 1982. It’s louder, it’s gloomier, it’s heavier, and it’s much more expansive, all qualities one might tag with Villeneuve’s breathtaking sequel.”

In additional to Zimmer and Wallfisch’s original compositions, the soundtrack features songs by Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, and Lauren Daigle.

Tyrone Davis was a hugely prolific Blues & Soul singer who was born in Mississippi in 1937. He started his career as Blues legend Freddie King's personal chauffeur and valet and cut a few Soul 45's that didn't make too much noise at the time. Infamy is the fifth studio album by New York rap duo Mobb Deep, released on December 11, 2001, through Loud Records and Columbia. Following the success of Murda Muzik (1999), the album marked a new phase in Havoc and Prodigy’s career. It arrived during the height of their public feud with Jay-Z, an event that shaped much of the album’s tone and attitude. Lyrically, Mobb Deep remained loyal to their gritty, street-centered storytelling, but sonically, Infamy introduced a cleaner, more melodic production style that reflected the changing sound of early-2000s East Coast hip-hop.

Most of the production was handled by Havoc, whose beats on this record are smoother, bass-heavy, and often laced with subtle R&B influences. Additional production came from The Alchemist and EZ Elpee. Compared to classics like The Infamous (1995) and Hell on Earth (1996), Infamy sounds more polished and radio-friendly, though it retains Mobb Deep’s signature Queensbridge darkness. Tracks such as “Burn” and “The Learning (Burn)” (featuring Big Noyd & Vita) show the duo at their most defiant and aggressive, while songs like “Hey Luv (Anything)” featuring 112 and “Get Away” reveal a more reflective and melodic side. The latter, in particular, has become one of the standout songs of the album, often praised for its smooth production and introspective lyrics.

Upon release, Infamy received mixed reviews. Critics acknowledged the duo’s growth in sound and the improved production quality, though some longtime fans missed the raw minimalism of their mid-’90s work. Commercially, the album performed well—it peaked at #22 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA. In hindsight, Infamy is viewed as a transitional record within Mobb Deep’s discography: less stark and menacing than their early classics, but still deeply rooted in street realism and authenticity. It bridges their gritty underground legacy with the more accessible, melodic sound that would define the next chapter of their career.

disco remix" of the scintillating Saturday Night.
This is as rare as hens teeth and you'd be lucky to find a mint one for less than €50.
Featuring an extended percussion break from the fantastic Sheila E, this a very different mix to the original album version and was never widely circulated at the time.
So another nice rare gem. As double-siders go, this really takes some beating. Order with confidence because this will still be selling for years to come.

The Endless River has as its starting point the music that came from the 1993 Division Bell sessions, when David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason played freely together at Britannia Row and Astoria studios. This was the first time they had done so since the 'Wish You Were Here' sessions in the seventies. Those sessions resulted in The Division Bell, the band's last studio album.

In 2013 David Gilmour and Nick Mason revisited the music from those sessions and decided that the tracks should be made available as part of the Pink Floyd repertoire. It would be the last time the three of them would be heard together. The band have spent the last year recording and upgrading the music,using the advantages of modern studio technology to create The Endless River.

The Endless River is a tribute to Rick Wright, whose keyboards are at the heart of the Pink Floyd sound. It is a mainly instrumental album with one song, 'Louder Than Words', (with new lyrics by Polly Samson), arranged across four sides and produced by David Gilmour, Phil Manzanera, Youth and Andy Jackson.
