The Beat Konducta Box Set collects Madlib’s complete Beat Konducta instrumental series on 7LPs, available together in a deluxe heavyweight slipcase. For the first time ever, Volumes 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6 are each presented as 2LP gatefold editions on classic black vinyl.

Exclusive to the box set: Vol. 0: Earth Sounds is pressed on “Northern Lights” green vinyl. Vol. 0 was recorded sometime around 1994-1996 and was initially released in 2001 through a limited pressing as part of our Fan Club 45 series. 13 tracks of early Madlib chops, holdovers from his days producing for Tha Alkaholiks, Likwit Crew, and Lootpack. Madlib's Beat Konducta series goes to India.

Beat Konducta Vol. 3-4: In India is a 2LP made up of Madlib instrumentals inspired by Bollywood soundtracks and other 60s-80s productions from India - over an hour of Madlib flipping sitars and South Asian orchestras. Each volume was separately released in 2007. “Movie Finale” would later appear on Yasiin Bey’s The Ecstatic song “Auditorium” feat. Slick Rick.

Beat Konducta Vol. 1-2: Movie Scenes & Movie Scenes, the Sequel were the first official releases in Madlib's Beat Konducta series (Vol. 1 in late 2005 and Vol. 2 in 2006).

Vol. 1: Movie Scenes and Vol. 2: Movie Scenes, the Sequel are instrumental hip-hop productions by Madlib presented in the style of ‘70s TV and film library records. 35 total scenes directed by Otis - an hour of original soundscapes. The "22 Durnham Dew" LP by Benny Sings was released on Stones Throw and brings together a personal chapter in the work of the Dutch songwriter. The record turns its gaze inward: after years of touring, Benny has devoted more time to family life, which is reflected in the lyrics and arrangements; personal insights and domestic scenes form the thematic core of this release.

Musically, Benny Sings stays true to his signature blend of warm pop, soulful harmonies, and subtle jazz inflections, with production that intentionally feels close and organic. Melodic hooks, understated synth pads, and acoustic instruments create an intimate setting in which his voice serves as the central vehicle of expression. This continuity in style connects to his earlier work, but reveals a more mature, calmer perspective.

Standout features of the LP include prominent guest contributions and the inclusion of family voices: collaborators such as Baby Rose, Tune-Yards, Ana Tijoux, and Elijah Fox leave their mark on individual tracks and expand the sonic palette. Songs like "Parachute" also exist in a Dutch-language version; the lyrics address fatherhood, home, and the small, formative moments of everyday life. The concise running time and clear song structures make "22 Durnham Dew" an immediate, meticulously detailed pop statement.

The “Purdy” LP by The Koreatown Oddity is coming out on Stones Throw and marks the fourth album from Dominique Purdy’s project; the raps are by KTown, while the beats come from Purdy’s own production work. The record is set for release on October 2, 2026, and combines narrative song sketches with tightly crafted arrangements, with the artist appearing both as an MC and as a producer.

Musically, “Purdy” offers a sequence of 15 tracks that incorporate guest appearances and unexpected collaborations: among other things, the album opens with “Dancing with the Trees” featuring Gary Wilson, “Festivus” includes Trenttruce, and the multi-part “Several Verses” brings together vocals from Skyler Duf, 3Qwestions, Ashanti Lewis, and Dion Lack. As an advance taste, the track “Ragu & Prego” has already been released, offering a direct impression of Purdy’s production approach. The collection focuses on concise song ideas, varied arrangements, and the artist’s multiple roles as lyricist, performer, and beatmaker.

“Piano Works 2016–2026” by John Carroll Kirby brings together fourteen spontaneously conceived piano pieces and releases them in distilled form as an LP on Stones Throw. The collection documents snapshots of a pianist on the road: compositions Kirby jotted down whenever he had access to a piano for only a few hours or days, which is why they retain an immediate, improvisation-tinged character.

The recordings were made in various places — including Los Angeles, Rome, Tokyo, Wollongong, rural New Zealand, and London — and form an intimate counterpoint to the band-oriented arrangements of earlier releases such as “Blowout” and “Septet.” Some pieces were reconstructed from rediscovered files, giving the set an autobiographical component; “Valentino,” for instance, was written long before and recorded in a cabin in New Zealand.

Musically, John Carroll Kirby is marked here by clear melodic lines, harmonic subtleties, and an economical yet richly nuanced touch. The short compositions, often sketched in a single sitting, put the focus on form and mood rather than lavish arrangements, while at the same time revealing the harmonic vocabulary that shapes his wide-ranging work as a producer and composer.

As an LP, “Piano Works 2016–2026” offers a focused glimpse into Kirby’s way of working at the instrument and adds to his body of work a personal, purely piano-centered perspective.

The "Tomorrow's World" LP by N8noface is being released on Stones Throw and marks the artist’s Stones Throw debut. The album was produced entirely by Dave Sitek (TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Weezer), who fuses raw synth aesthetics with driving punk energy. On the full-length, N8noface works with a number of notable guest contributors; the album features collaborations with Hudson Mohawke, Angélica Garcia, and Nick Zinner, who enrich individual tracks with distinctive textures and additional melodic lines.

Musically, "Tomorrow's World" explores the intersection of synth-punk and darkwave, combining fast, catchy song structures with dense electronic production. The track "I Hope It’s Ok" was released as an advance single with a visual component; the accompanying video was created in collaboration with Eyedress. The album title refers to the British TV show of the same name and reflects the idea of what early technological utopias might sound like in a punk-oriented present. Stones Throw is issuing the LP in physical form; in addition, the release is available digitally, making Dave Sitek’s production and the guest contributions accessible across multiple formats.

The "Dirty Talk: Sunshine Hotline Mixes" LP by Michi is being released on Stones Throw and brings together new takes on tracks from her debut along with two new cover versions.

The collection comprises eight tracks: four remixes by Knxwledge and two remixes by Mndsgn, rounded out by two joint renditions. The record includes, among others, remixes of "If You Want Me," "There's No Heaven," and "Memmy (Recuerdo)," with Gabriel da Rosa guesting on one version of "Memmy (Recuerdo)." Mndsgn appears both as a remixer and as a co-performer on the cover versions.

Michi’s music is defined by a warm, soul-rooted strain of R&B that fuses nostalgic melodies with contemporary production; her clear, airy voice forms the centerpiece of the arrangements. The Sunshine Hotline mixes shift this core sound into new production spaces: Knxwledge adds house- and beat-oriented elements, while Mndsgn contributes analog textures and shades of psychedelic soul.

The two covers represent the stylistic range of the project: "Emotions" (known from the Bee Gees and Destiny’s Child) and "Are You Lonesome?" (The Feminine Complex) are reimagined by Michi in collaboration with Mndsgn, placing familiar melodies in a relaxed yet carefully arranged sonic setting.

The LP “Young-Girl Forever,” released on Stones Throw, brings together Sofie Royer’s pop‑leaning electronic sensibility, clear melodies, and precise production, resulting in catchy electro‑pop earworms with a carefully balanced retro touch. The arrangements rely on synthesizers, driving basslines, and elegiac guitar accents, giving the tracks a feel that’s both danceable and introspective, while Sofie Royer’s voice always remains at the center of the sound—at times cool and detached, at others strikingly immediate.

The songs emerged from close collaboration with producers like Matt Cohn, Jorgen Odegard, and Eli Hirsch, making the evolution from lo‑fi‑leaning sketches to fully realized pop compositions clearly traceable. The songwriting and production have grown more intricate; the twelve tracks display a keen sense for form, hooks, and surprising lyrical twists. The working process fuses classic pop structures with subversive moments, turning the album into an artful yet accessible statement by the artist.

Thematically, “Young-Girl Forever” explores the tensions between past and future, often training a sharp eye on the self and on the darker sides of an artist’s life. Sofie Royer doesn’t mince words as she openly describes her in‑between feeling of being caught between the art world and the mainstream; this ambivalent tone runs through the record and lends it a pointed, sometimes ironic sense of distance. For fans of Suki Waterhouse, Lykke Li, or CMAT, the album offers rich points of connection.

“Something For Real” by the Kiefer Trio (feat. Luke Titus & Pera Krstajic) documents a concert recorded in Los Angeles in April 2023 and plays like a deliberately relaxed live album: Kiefer decided not to tell his fellow musicians about the recording in order to capture the immediacy and tension of the performance. The set was recorded as part of an appearance for the Scenario program, letting the live setting set the tone.

Musically, the trio operates at the intersection of jazz, fusion, and contemporary influences from R&B and electronic production; the pieces range from fresh trio arrangements of Kiefer’s own tunes to a distinctive take on Bobby Hutcherson’s “Montara.” The set includes a new work in the title track “Something For Real” alongside familiar numbers from Kiefer’s repertoire and leaves room for improvisatory dialogue between piano, bass, and drums.

The lineup is clear: Kiefer on piano and electric keyboards, Luke Titus on drums, and Pera Krstajic on bass—three longtime collaborators whose interplay carries the recording. As a special feature, the LP appears in an audiophile edition cut at 45 rpm, with a tip-on jacket and rice paper inner sleeve; the record also includes notes by Kiefer himself. The release is via Stones Throw.

The Architect, one half of Homeliss Derilex, is a foundational figure in Hip-Hop whose early production work helped spark Stones Throw Records around when it was founded in 1996. Three decades later, The Architect returns to where it all began. Sampling exclusively from Stones Throw’s vinyl catalog, he constructs an instrumental beat album that feels both archival and forward-looking. Overseen and curated by Peanut Butter Wolf, the project captures a rare full-circle moment.

Monkey Mind is the new album from French American duo Pearl & The Oysters, produced by Jonathan Rado (Weyes Blood, Miley Cyrus, Father John Misty, The Lemon Twigs, Foxygen). Though sunny on the surface, the album was written and recorded in the wake of the devastating LA fires of 2025 and Trump's second inauguration. The album is a departure from the space age kitsch sound of Planet Pearl to a warmer organic sound influenced by '70s soft rock (Todd Rundgren, The Beach Boys, Steely Dan), with echoes of City Pop & exotica. Monkey Mind is named after the Buddhist concept of a restless, looping consciousness - the duo drew on their own "monkey minds" to write the album in a matter of weeks, using music as way to process their worry. After years of building their own intricate, home-recorded worlds, P&to worked with producer, solo artist, and Foxygen Jonathan Rado, recording straight to tape with minimal overdubs and working with their musical family of LA musicians. The LP "The Real Me" presents Kyle M as an independent songwriter and producer who has written, sung, and recorded his tracks entirely under his own direction. On this debut, Kyle M blends influences from rock, country, dance, and R&B into a consistently personal sonic identity; the arrangements are often sparse, the vocals direct and close to the lyrics, allowing the record to pursue its central theme – making a hidden identity visible – with clear intent.

The compositions on "The Real Me" stand out for their brevity and concise melodic lines; the album contains eleven tracks with a total running time of just under twenty minutes, keeping many songs stripped down to the essentials while still covering a broad spectrum of musical moods. Within this framework, Kyle M sets more contemplative, folk-tinged passages alongside lighter, danceable moments.

Characteristic of Kyle M is the combination of laconic humor and genuine intimacy, a style that clearly reflects his earlier career in film and comedy but is here put entirely at the service of the music. The production remains deliberately homemade, creating a sense of immediacy that keeps the focus on song structure and lyrics and clearly positions Kyle M as an idiosyncratic newcomer in the Stones Throw catalog.

Soundpieces: Da Antidote! is the debut album by California hip-hop group Lootpack, consisting of Madlib, Wildchild, and DJ Romes, released on June 29, 1999 via Stones Throw Records. It is widely regarded as a cornerstone of late-1990s underground hip-hop and a landmark in Madlib’s career, marking his first full-length production showcase. Lootpack emerged from Oxnard, California, a creative hub that also produced artists like Oh No, MED, and Declaime—all of whom appear as guests on this record.

The sound of Soundpieces: Da Antidote! is defined by dusty samples, jazz and funk fragments, intricate drum programming, and a warm, analog atmosphere. Madlib’s production relies heavily on layered sample collages and vintage drum breaks, complemented by DJ Romes’ scratches and cuts, while Wildchild delivers sharp, rhythmically precise rhymes. Lyrically, the album focuses on classic hip-hop themes: preserving authenticity, battling weak MCs, and celebrating the art of “crate diggin’,” the practice of searching through vinyl bins for rare samples. The track “Crate Diggin’” itself pays direct homage to that tradition and has become one of Lootpack’s signature cuts.

The album contains 21 tracks with a total running time of about 78 minutes. Guest appearances include Dilated Peoples (“Long Awaited”), Oh No, MED, Declaime, Kazi, and Tha Alkaholiks, all associated with the Stones Throw collective. One of the standout tracks, “Episodes,” runs nearly nine minutes and features a posse of Oxnard-area MCs, encapsulating the scene’s collaborative spirit.

Musically, Soundpieces: Da Antidote! represents intelligent, sample-driven West Coast underground rap, intentionally distancing itself from the glossy mainstream sound of the late ’90s. Critics praised Madlib’s imaginative, jazz-infused production and the album’s cohesive atmosphere, though some noted its length and density. Nevertheless, it has come to be recognized as one of the defining Stones Throw releases—a foundation for Madlib’s later experiments as Quasimoto, Madvillain, and Yesterday’s New Quintet.

Ultimately, Soundpieces: Da Antidote! marked the beginning of a new era: it introduced Madlib as a visionary producer, established Stones Throw Records as a home for boundary-pushing hip-hop, and brought the Oxnard underground scene to international attention. To this day, the album remains a benchmark for classic, sample-based production and a testament to hip-hop’s creative independence.

Donuts began simply enough - an idea to turn a good demo tape into a full-length album. It would end up being one of the defining works of J Dilla's life. Completed during the year Dilla spent in and out of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and released on his birthday - February 7, 2006, Donuts gained particular poignancy when he died three days later on February 10th.

Mndsgn (born Ringgo Ancheta) grew up in south New Jersey, raised with Gospel music at church, and B-Boy culture at home. Experimenting with beat-making, he befriended fellow producer Knxwledge and the two formed the influential Klipmode collective (along with Devonwho and Suzi Analogue). Mndsgn's music flourished when he moved to Los Angeles, catching the attention of Stones Throw who released Yawn Zen (2014), an LP of introspective and mostly instrumental beat creations, punctuated by vocal cuts.

Body Wash is his second album for Stones Throw, a full set of realized songs that were only hinted at on Yawn Zen. Influences here include the likes of early SOLAR records material, Leon Sylvers III, Kashif, and Dave Grusin. These artists, Mndsgn says, "embodied that potent feeling in the early 80s boogie/funk/soul/jazz/fusion wave." He adds, "I was also digging back into some early 90s R&B sounds and started really imagining what it would be like if I had mashed the two eras together." He explains Body Wash as "a soul record that plays with nostalgic elements in a very dynamic & positive way. Think about it as a box of crayons for you to draw emotions with."

The album was built around a backstory, a loose narrative thread through which he could filter his unformed ideas. In the narrative, a homeless man encounters a mysterious woman who gives him shelter. She instructs him to bathe with a very peculiar body wash. As he soaks and sinks deeper in a thick lather of this unknown solution, the man finds himself transported to an alternate dimension. Mndsgn describes the story as a vessel "that would allow me to speak on topics that were universally relatable … The story actually became a true outlet for me to address worldly issues with Self." The resulting album also represents a dynamic step forward in songwriting. Without explicitly relating its plot or characters, the album as a whole turns on the story's key theme, the psychedelic, transformative power of love.

Dutch singer, songwriter, producer, and multiinstrumentalist Benny Sings releases Beat Tape III, his third installment in the Beat Tape series on Stones Throw Records.

Sofie’s SOS Tape is a compilation album curated by Sofie Royer — known at the time as Sofie Fatouretchi — and released in December 2016 on Stones Throw Records. Sofie, a founding member of Boiler Room and later a DJ and host on NTS Radio, assembled this project as a vivid portrait of the global underground scene connecting hip-hop, soul, and beat culture. Issued both digitally and as a 2×LP vinyl edition (catalog number STH2376), the compilation features 24 tracks by more than twenty artists, many of whom were then-emerging figures in the independent beats community.

The album highlights Sofie’s curatorial instinct and deep ties to experimental music culture. It brings together producers, singers, and instrumentalists who were largely unknown at the time but would later become key voices within modern underground music. Standout contributions include Mndsgn & Sofie – “Abeja”, a mellow, soulful beat featuring Sofie’s own vocals, Stimulator Jones – “Soon Never Comes”, later a breakout track for him, and Charlotte Dos Santos – “Watching You” (produced by Fred Fades). Other featured artists include ISSUE, DJ Harrison, Zeroh, Poptartpete, and Braxton Cook. LUSHLAND is the debut album from R&B artist Silas Short, a passionate record of processing change and powerful self-acceptance. In 2021, a defining loss inspired Silas to take a leap in search of new possibilities. He packed up his car and left Chicago. Physically, he moved to Los Angeles; spiritually and emotionally, he journeyed to a place called Lushland.

LUSHLAND is filled with soulful songs rooted in ‘80s and ‘90s R&B, informed by Silas' years of playing in gospel bands with his father and an early education in hip-hop, funk, and neo-soul. Collaborators on the album include neo-soul legend James Poyser of The Roots and Soulquarians (Erykah Badu, D’Angelo, Ms. Lauryn Hill); Ryan James Carr (Usher, Cordae), Luke Titus (Kiefer) and Peanut Butter Wolf.

LUSHLAND follows Silas’ 2021 debut EP Drawing and his recent cover of "My Conversation", featured in the Bafta and Golden Globe-winning, and Oscar-nominated film A Real Pain.
