The “Take Me With You” 7" by Lyn Christopher and Tyrone & Carr is released as a split single on Dynamite Cuts, bringing together two recordings of the same soul classic. Lyn Christopher’s A-side is based on the original American version from 1973, whose deep bassline and smooth groove form the core of the track. Her distinctive voice gives the song a sensual yet powerful presence. “Take Me With You” is one of the best-known recordings in Christopher’s catalog and was later sampled by hip-hop artists as well.

The B-side features the British version by Tyrone & Carr, which was released the same year on Jam Records, an imprint of DJM. The 7" thus places two contemporary takes on the song side by side, highlighting its character from different perspectives. Dynamite Cuts’ release brings both versions together in an official compilation and presents them in the classic 7" format with the corresponding cover artwork. Through its 7" releases, Dynamite Cuts focuses on selected funk, soul, and rare groove recordings, bringing them back in faithful miniature sleeves.

Funky beats and Brazilian Soul — stripped, enhanced and empowered for the dancefloor. Big punching beats, floating basslines and soulful vocals, arranged and re-edited to be the ideal DJ food for your set. The Boogie Bus crew has just started delivering gems and treasures with flavours from around the world. Digging deep, producing and DJing — they like it raw and refined. Freedom BUS on the A-side is a pure soulful message riding on a hypnotic groove all the way through. The groove gives the vocal its foundation, expressing what might be the most essential element of creativity: Freedom Bizarro BUS on the B-side is pure power, escalating through driving rhythms while soulful Brazilian vocals floating through the track. Brazilian Funk at its finest — retouched and re-edited for the needs of today’s DJs. Raw and refined. Made for the dancefloor. All aboard the Boogie Bus.

The clear vinyl edition of Madonna’s “Danceteria” 7-inch single is released on Warner and brings together two closely connected versions of the song. The A-side features the “Afterhours Mix” with Charli xcx, while the B-side contains the single version. In doing so, the release combines Madonna’s current work with a younger voice in electronically influenced pop music.

“Danceteria” is a track from Madonna’s album “Confessions II” and takes its name from the New York club that played an important role in her early artistic development. The new rendition expands the track with Charli xcx and places even greater emphasis on its nocturnal, club-oriented direction. The “Afterhours Mix” stands as an independent collaboration alongside the original version without displacing it from the single.

Madonna is releasing the “Danceteria” 7-inch as a Warner record with Charli xcx explicitly credited as a contributor. The combination of the Afterhours rendition and the single version makes the release a compact juxtaposition of a current rendition and the album version. The clear vinyl edition complements the format, which focuses on two tracks.

The “1, 2 Pass It” 7" by D&D All Stars was released on D&D and features the original version on the A-side and the DJ Premier remix version on the B-side. Produced by DJ Premier, the cut brings together a lineup of Mad Lion, Doug E. Fresh, KRS-One, Fat Joe, Smif‑N‑Wessun, and Jeru the Damaja, who trade concise solo verses over Premier’s signature beat, capturing the characteristic sound of the D&D Studios. The single stands for that phase when New York MC voices came together on one track to create a defining snapshot of East Coast hip-hop.

This reissue comes as a Black Vinyl Edition aimed equally at DJs and collectors, bringing together both versions—original and remix—in a compact 7" format. Recorded and mixed at the legendary D&D Studios in New York, the release showcases both the unfiltered energy and the collaborative touch that made the studio famous; the remix expands the single with an alternative take on the arrangement by Premier. This release complements existing collections of classic ’90s East Coast productions and has been reissued in collaboration with key distribution partners.

The “Darkest Light” 7-inch by Lafayette Afro-Rock Band, released on Strut, brings two essential tracks by the influential group together on a single for the first time. At the center is “Darkest Light,” whose distinctive opening with saxophone and horns became a defining motif in hip-hop history. The track originally appeared on the album “Malik” and was sampled by artists including Jay-Z, Public Enemy and Wreckx-N-Effect.

On the flip side is “Hihache,” a key track from “Soul Makossa.” Its expansive drum break became an important foundation of the burgeoning hip-hop culture in the 1980s and is particularly well known from Biz Markie’s “Nobody Beats The Biz.” Both recordings showcase the rhythmic precision and hard-hitting Afro-funk that first brought Lafayette Afro-Rock Band attention in Paris during the 1970s.

“Darkest Light” thus brings together two distinct classics: The title track is driven by its instantly recognizable horn figure, while “Hihache” is defined by its distinctive drum break. On this 7-inch, Strut pairs two particularly influential contributions from Lafayette Afro-Rock Band’s repertoire, recordings that remain closely connected to the development of sample-based hip-hop production.

The 7-inch “If I Let You” by The Womack Sisters was released on Daptone and presents the single in the classic 45 rpm format; the A-side features the vocal-led version, while the B-side contains the instrumental version. The release follows the three sisters’ self-titled debut and puts their warm vocal harmonies front and center.

Musically, “If I Let You” is built around a Latin-tinged soul groove: percussive güiro figures, a driving organ motif, and precise drumming form the backbone, while the sisters harmonize in a cool call-and-response style. The arranged horn and rhythm structure gives the track a danceable lightness while leaving room for delicate vocal flourishes. The instrumental version lays bare the rhythmic structure and emphasizes the tightly arranged groove elements of the production.

Bosco Mann serves as producer and is also credited as a songwriter alongside the Womack sisters; the compositions thus bring together the name and producer signature of the Daptone community. The Womack Sisters—Kucha, Zeimani, and BG Womack—consolidate their approach to contemporary retro soul with “If I Let You”: the 7-inch is both a physical collector’s item and part of the digital offering available on Bandcamp and streaming services.

The 7-inch single “Betting On My Love” by Leroy Hutson is released on Home Of The Good Groove and presents the title track as the A-side at 45 rpm; the release includes the song “So Nice” on the B-side. The record is offered for sale as a standard 7-inch, while the label also lists a strictly limited DJ edition with small-print labeling. The A-side label notes stereo playback and the A-side running time of 3:52; the label also states that the production and arrangement are by Leroy Hutson himself.

For Home Of The Good Groove, “Betting On My Love” adds to the series of reissues and tracks by the singer and composer being made available on 7-inch for the first time; the label brings together several individual releases from Leroy Hutson’s catalog. Stylistically, the release is aimed at funk and soul aficionados and, by noting stereo and 45 rpm, documents a classic single presentation focused on the individual song. Its straightforward 7-inch format and designation of A- and B-sides make the release a targeted collector’s item within Home Of The Good Groove’s ongoing release series.

The “How Sean P! Stole Christmas” 7-inch by Sean Price is released on Duck Down and returns as a special edition called the Christmas Splatter Vinyl Edition. This limited version presents the 7-inch single format in a striking design that highlights the edition as a unique collector’s item, while Duck Down oversees the release as part of its catalog.

Sean Price, given the nickname Sean “Grinch” here, originally released the song and video in December 2012; on this 7-inch, he once again showcases his characteristic blend of dry humor and gritty street poetry. Producer Khrysis supplies the beat, which supports Sean Price’s performance and puts his distinctive vocal delivery front and center. Lyrically, the track stages Brownsville-style chaos during the holiday season, including the rather humorous episode of stealing presents from under the tree.

The record includes the dirty, clean, and instrumental versions, covering both DJ use and private listening. The “How Sean P! Stole Christmas” 7-inch on Duck Down is therefore a compact, carefully curated single that brings together the producer credit, multiple versions, and the festive theme, once again presenting Sean Price as a distinctive voice in U.S. hip-hop.

The lilac vinyl edition of the “Thats What Friends Are For / Thats The Way I Like It” 7" by Madeline Bell was released by Dynamite Cuts and brings two strong soul tracks together on 7" vinyl for the first time. Madeline Bell is at the center here; with this release, Dynamite Cuts presents a compact selection from her repertoire that appeals to both collectors and fans of classic funk/soul gems.

Both cuts are taken from her LP “This Is One Girl” and showcase different facets of her voice. “Thats What Friends Are For,” co-written with Alan Parker, appears here as a sensually driven, club‑oriented version with a pronounced Latin swing, propelled by driving percussion and warm horn arrangements. The flip side, “Thats The Way I Like It,” rounds out the release as another soul banger and highlights the quality of the backing band, which featured top‑tier English musicians. For this 7" edition, Dynamite Cuts has reissued both tracks, making them available in a compact single format with clear, refined edition markings.

The “CRACK IN THE WALL” 7" by O.B.F & Pupajim was released on Dubquake as a limited vinyl edition and delivers a punchy dub take on in a compact single-length format, with clear, lead-focused vocals. O.B.F brings the characteristic sound system aesthetic to the forefront, while Pupajim takes over lead vocals and carries the song lyrically.

The 7" features the main track “CRACK IN THE WALL” on the A-side, with the instrumental dub version on the B-side. Musically, the release combines classic dub elements with modern production approaches: Rico O.B.F is responsible for composition and mixing, Joker Kapsize handled the mastering, and Simon Rascat contributed programming and additional mixing. This lineup creates a dense low-end foundation and detailed effects work that still leaves the track room to breathe.

Lyrically, “CRACK IN THE WALL” centers on themes of hope and resistance, which Pupajim delivers with a distinctive tone and precise phrasing. The collaboration between O.B.F & Pupajim on Dubquake fits seamlessly into the label’s current output and, with this single, offers a focused release tailored to sound system culture that works equally well in DJ selections and on your home setup.

Celestial Echo puts the focus on the single itself, making the track’s original energy available once again with this edition, without foregrounding any additional edition text. The compilation “5 Borough Breaks Volume 37” is released as a 7-inch on the 5 Borough Breaks label, continuing the series of curated DJ tools. The A-side features the Beastie Boys classic “Jimmy James,” which is being pressed at 45 rpm for the first time here; the B-side highlights the close relationship between a hip-hop track and its source, featuring Jimi Hendrix’s “Happy Birthday” as well as The Turtles’ “I’m Chief Kamanawanalea.” This juxtaposition makes the production lineage between original and sample immediately audible and emphasizes the record’s functional suitability for sets and drops.

Musically, the release comes across as a raw, dusty-sounding cut: grooves, scratches, and a slightly jazzy, angular drum groove frame the distinctive rap phrases, delivered with the Beastie Boys’ characteristic snarling style. The constantly morphing groove structure creates a rhythmic arc of tension in which the direct comparison between the sample material and its later hip-hop interpretation makes for a satisfying drop. As a 7-inch release, “5 Borough Breaks Volume 37” provides a compact tool for DJs who want to incorporate classic sample sources alongside their rap references in the set.

The "Return Of The B-Girl Feat Kool Keith" 7" by T-Love is released on Pickininny and consistently continues the artist’s left-leaning hip-hop tradition. The title track combines T-Love’s punchy rap lines with a guest verse from Kool Keith and positions itself firmly within alternative, underground-oriented rap, as it was often defined in the late 1990s as a counterpoint to the mainstream.

Musically, the production leans on organic, jazz-influenced arrangements and live instrumentation: bass, cello, guitar, and drums form the foundation, complemented by precise scratching and a stripped-down yet powerful percussion approach. This soundscape gives T-Love’s delivery space for rhythmic variation and pointed rhymes; the work of Miles (This Kid Named Miles / Miles Om Tackett) is crucial in shaping the warm yet playful sound.

The 7" slots into T-Love’s early releases and documents her profile as an MC with a strong feel for songs and beats. The collaboration with a well-known guest like Kool Keith underscores the ambition to push stylistic boundaries, while the production keeps its focus on crafted arrangements. For listeners interested in jazz-oriented rap and artful instrumentation, this record offers a distinct glimpse into T-Love’s artistic profile.

The Tstd Edits 19 7" by Monsieur Van Pratt is released on Too Slow To Disco as black vinyl and includes two new versions. The Mexican producer and musician returns with his second two-track edit excursion into the world of rare cover versions from Mexico. His work for the TSTD series combines meticulous cut-and-paste craftsmanship with a preference for fresh, little-known source material.

On side A, “Solo Tu Y Yo” delivers a slow disco edit of an extremely rare late-’70s Mexican cover version of the Bill Withers classic “Just The Two Of Us.” Side B, “Junto A Ti,” is a mid-tempo reworking of a Mexican take on “Upside Down” (Diana Ross with Nile Rodgers), putting the focus on pronounced rhythmic drive and condensed vocal arrangements. Both edits rely on distinctive rhythms and inventive arrangements that place the original melodies in a fresh context.

His first 7", featuring an edit of the Bobby Caldwell composition “What You Won't Do For Love,” ranks among the most frequently repressed and commercially successful entries in the TSTD EDIT series. Tstd Edits 19 on Too Slow To Disco builds on that and presents the producer in the role of archivist and arranger, carefully reorganizing his discoveries and presenting them as concise edit versions.

The 7" “Gettin' Money / Don't Look Any Further,” released on From The Voltz, places Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s distinctive 1990s hip-hop track “Gettin' Money” directly opposite its source: Dennis Edwards’ 1984 song “Don’t Look Any Further” featuring Siedah Garrett. Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s track draws its energy from the striking groove and loop-based aesthetic, while the remix version closely builds on Edwards’ bass-heavy, stripped-down arrangement; the pairing makes the production lineage between the original and the sample immediately clear to DJs.

Conceived as a DJ-tools release, From The Voltz’s 7" offers a convenient single format that brings the A- and B-sides together as an immediately usable resource for sets and edit mixes. The 7" 45 rpm format and its focus on the intersection of rap and soul emphasize its practical value for DJs and producers without obscuring the historical connection between the two tracks. With this pairing, From The Voltz continues its series of curated combinations, presenting a precise piece of vinyl that makes both the source material and its later hip-hop interpretation audible.

The “Crazy” 7" by Doechii is released on Capitol and brings the song to vinyl as a single; this 7" combines the well-known track “Crazy” with the additional B-side “Pacer.” The 7" released on Capitol clearly emphasizes the single-focused presentation, translating the song’s original release into a compact pressing format and offering both collectors and listeners a physical edition. Doechii is at the center of this release, with Capitol accompanying the single as the official label.

Musically, “Crazy” is built on a clear, meticulously produced structure; the track was produced by Kal Banx and features a striking vocal performance by Doechii that leaves room in the arrangement for dynamic shifts. Manny Marroquin’s mix gives the song defined spatial contours, while the mastering by Demitrius Lewis II provides the final balance. The B-side “Pacer” adds another song by the artist to the 7", rounding out the single as a compact statement from Doechii on Capitol.

Snips’ “Don’t Stop The Rock / Hard To Be Human” 7" is released on Black Buffalo and presents two instrumental renditions of well-known Michael Jackson tracks, produced by Snips out of Brooklyn. Side A, “Don’t Stop The Rock,” relies on driving, soulful boom-bap drums, a heavy bassline, and expertly chopped vocal hooks from “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing),” turning the track into an immediate, danceable beat tool.

On the B-side, “Hard To Be Human” sets a muted, late-night mood: a warm electric guitar loop provides the melodic foundation, subtle organ chords complement the harmony, and soulful vocal flips from “Human Nature” add nostalgic depth. The arrangements emphasize classic sampling techniques and a clear, groove-focused production style that works both in a DJ set and as an instrumental showcase.

Black Buffalo brings both tracks together in a compact 7" vinyl release, combining classic beat aesthetics with careful editing and a strong feel for motifs from pop history. Anyone who appreciates Snips’ production style will find concentrated, loop-based instrumentals on this release, distinguished by precise drum programming and tasteful sample variations.

The 7" "Whirlwind Thru Cities / D&D Soundclash HHV Exclusive White Vinyl Edition" by Afu Ra on D&D brings together two distinctive sides that sharply document the artist’s early New York hip-hop. The A-side features "Whirlwind Thru Cities," a track with a straight boom-bap aesthetic and dense sample work, produced by DJ Roach; the B-side carries the eponymous "D&D Soundclash," which appears on some versions as a collaboration with Cocoa Brovaz.

Afu Ra is closely connected with the Gang Starr Foundation and the circle around Jeru the Damaja, which shapes his approach to flow and punchlines. His tracks combine classic sample-based craftsmanship with a distinctly rhythmic delivery that appeals to both DJs and listeners.

"Whirlwind Thru Cities" is known for its sample sources, including motifs from Les McCann and The Coasters, which give the track its characteristic texture. The tight song structure and the instrumental versions have earned it lasting presence in DJ sets and among collectors.

This D&D release stands in the tradition of New York studio practice, which combines gritty beats with meticulous production, and offers a focused snapshot of Afu Ra’s style in its early phase.

With the 7" New Jack Swing Volume 3, released on New Jack Swing 45, V.A. presents a release that marks the next evolutionary stage of its style. The selection moves within the characteristic field of new jack swing: driving rhythms, distinctive drum-machine grooves, and smooth R&B vocal lines meet catchy synthesizer arrangements and precisely placed percussion. The songs often rely on melodic hooks and tightly arranged background vocals, resulting in a design principle that connects danceability with song-oriented arrangements. Characteristic is the combination of electronic production techniques and soulful vocal styles; the rhythmic dimension gains expressiveness through syncopated accents, making the style equally suited to club play and radio-friendly formats. On a compact 7", selected tracks unfold the characteristic new jack swing drive in concentrated form and bring production details such as groove timing and vocal harmonies to the fore. In this way, the compilation forms a concise panorama of this aesthetic: it focuses on the historical intersection of R&B and hip-hop without superfluous ornamentation, thereby documenting a style that was decisively shaped in the late 1980s.

The "Toxic Funk Volume 24" 7" by Umbo is released on Breakbeat Paradise and continues the long‑running series with two instantly usable dancefloor cuts. The A‑side features "Got Soul," a groove‑laden funk track driven by punchy drums, springy basslines, and a warm, soulful energy. On the B‑side, "Save It" delivers a rougher funk approach with precise breaks, crisp rhythms, and cleverly chopped vocal bits that mark the track as a true DJ weapon.

Umbo is regarded as one of the original pioneers of the nu‑funk movement; his releases on Good Groove Records and Timewarp have cemented his feel for timeless party tunes. His style is defined by the skillful fusion of classic funk elements with modern breakbeat production: soulful samples are combined with sharp drum patterns and tightly arranged basslines without sacrificing the organic warmth of the source material.

Both cuts are clearly designed for use in the club and in DJ sets, fitting equally well into funk, breaks, nu‑disco, and party‑edit selections. With "Toxic Funk Volume 24," Umbo underlines his consistency as a producer and expands the Breakbeat Paradise catalog with two practical, vocal‑ and groove‑driven tracks made for real‑world play.

Produced by Supermax-frontman Kurt Hauenstein. Originally released in 1987. We are proud to re-release this super rare 7” that proves, once and for all, that Austrians can excel at digi-dub. Timelessly tropical and beautifully bouncy, its vibe is quite different from the iconic Supermax productions. Here, Judy and Nicola’s sweet yet confident vocals replace the moustache-driven sotto voce singing that we love Supermax for. The result is oh-so-catchy and bound to be a hit.

The “Boring” 7" by Rework is released on Salon and transfers a relaxed, slowly swelling deep house sound to the format. The A-side track “Boring” thrives on elegant piano arrangements, laid-back, tricked-out drums, and a distinctive, slightly indie-leaning female vocal that lends the piece a subtle, restrained warmth. The stripped-down instrumentation leaves room for small harmonic turns and creates an intensely relaxed groove.

The B-side, “You Give It Up,” shifts the mood toward an Indian summer vibe: floating, hypnotic passages and psychedelically woven grooves bring a dreamy lightness that pairs well with the A-side track. Both titles come from the duo’s catalog and display a precision in arrangement that serves deeper dance floor moments just as well as quiet afternoon sets.

As part of a summer series by Salon, three collectible 7-inch singles form a small set that brings together Rework, Bruno Pronsato, and Matthew Dear. Rework, the German duo, is defined by a combination of melodic restraint and carefully placed electronic details; this 7-inch distills those qualities into two compact, atmospherically balanced tracks.

The "Going Round In Circles" 7-inch by Memory Of Justice Band is released on Celestial Echo and unveils two strong sides of this little-known ensemble from the Cayman Islands. The release was realized in collaboration with Whale Rider Records and longtime label friend Medlar.

Memory Of Justice Band formed in Grand Cayman in the 1970s, blending soul, reggae, funk and local island rhythms into a distinctive sound that made them one of the region’s most highly regarded bands. Their musical background comes through in warm melodies, smooth grooves and a palpable band chemistry.

On the A-side you’ll find the title track, "Going Round In Circles," a modern soul piece of graceful warmth: uplifting harmonies, precise musicianship and a soothing melodic flow define the song. Celestial Echo gently brings such gems back into circulation, remastered and respectfully presented.

The B-side, titled "Power," turns decisively toward the dance floor with a reggae-influenced boogie; produced by legendary duo Sly and Robbie, the track is built on a massive groove, a cohesive rhythm section and catchy hooks that perfectly complement the A-side’s soul element. Celestial Echo presents this edition with an emphasis on meticulous cutting and pressing.

The "Come Back Home (Again)" 7" by Al Kent With The Disco Love Orchestra is released on Big Love and presents a deliberately focused new recording of one of his best-known tracks. Al Kent, respected on the scene as an influential collector and producer, leads his Disco Love Orchestra into an arranging language that recalls the orchestral, Philadelphia-inflected dancefloor arrangements of the 1970s; driving basslines, shimmering string sections, and punchy horn figures form the musical foundation, while powerful soul vocals carry the central melodic backbone.

The release comprises two parts — "Come Back Home (Again) Pt1" and "Pt2" — and is offered on 7" vinyl; the compact single format stays true to the song material without unnecessary excess. With this edition, Big Love delivers a precise, dancefloor-focused version in which Al Kent reimagined forgotten gems of the disco tradition while at the same time connecting modern strains of boogie with classic arrangements. The release is scheduled for October 16, 2026, and is aimed at listeners who appreciate sophisticated, vocal-driven dance productions.

The 7" Perseverance, released on Silsila Dubs, features two mixes: the title track "Perseverance" on the A-side and its instrumental "Version" on the B-side. The release is rooted in the sonic tradition of the British sound system scene and focuses on heavy basslines, sparse melodic figures, and expansive delay and reverb spaces that lend the dub a meditative sense of spaciousness.

Behind the project is Govind Singh, who wrote, produced, and mixed the tracks; he operates within the Mya-Hi‑Fi milieu, which is closely connected to the label. The production takes its cues from 1990s recording techniques and was realized through the cult Soundcraft Ghost console at Silsila HQ, giving the arrangements analog warmth and spatial depth. Musically, the material nods to Jah Shaka, Aba‑Shanti‑I, and classic dub formats without feeling retrospective.

With Perseverance, Silsila Dubs positions itself as a new link between tradition-minded dub aesthetics and contemporary production; the concise 7-inch format distills the concept down to a few striking elements while still leaving room for the Version to function as an echo chamber and a space for sonic exploration.

Mr. K turns his attention to his hometown with two deep underground New York disco cuts appearing on 7-inch for the first time.

On the A-side, Mr. K edits Black Rock's 'Hey Roots', the follow-up to the group's 1975 proto-disco single 'New York City Bump'. Built around a driving four-on-the-floor groove, the edit focuses on the hypnotic, Bohannon-esque rhythm while using the original vocals sparingly.

The flip tackles Ahzz's sought-after 'New York's Movin''. Mr. K works from the instrumental version, combining handclaps, tambourine, rhythm guitar and synth strings into a powerful dancefloor cut. A dubby breakdown and extended arrangement make maximum use of the 7-inch format, with both edits running for more than five minutes.

Released on Roots Vibration, the "Zorro / Cutting Sword" 7" by The Observers brings together two instrumental tracks that pointedly showcase the classic roots sound of the Observers camp tradition. On the A-side, "Zorro" opens with a hypnotic melody over which Tommy McCook’s distinctive horn lines float; the arrangement and playing emphasize an organic sonic aesthetic rooted in the 1970s, turning the cut into a compelling instrumental.

The B-side, "Cutting Sword," strips this template down and brings out the elements typical of dub: the drum-and-bass foundation moves into focus, while echo and filter effects create space for a clearly shaped dub take on that functions as the perfect counterpart to "Zorro." From a production standpoint, the release stands in the tradition of Niney The Observer, which gives it its own signature and underscores the connection between melodic horn work and stripped-down dub aesthetics. With "Zorro / Cutting Sword," Roots Vibration presents a concise 7" for fans of instrumental reggae and dancehall arrangements, on which The Observers make their long-standing familiarity with roots forms clearly audible.

"Originally released during the peak of Busta Rhymes' breakthrough era, ""Dangerous (Soul Society Remix)"" is one of the most sought-after alternative versions of the classic hit taken from the platinum-selling album When Disaster Strikes.... The remix delivers a heavier, club-oriented production while preserving the explosive energy, rapid-fire flow, and unmistakable charisma that established Busta Rhymes as one of hip-hop's most innovative artists of the late 1990s.

The Soul Society Remix became particularly popular among DJs and collectors thanks to its powerful bassline, built around the officially licensed sample of Queen's ""Another One Bites the Dust"", its undeniable dancefloor appeal, and its distinctive reinterpretation of the original track. Combining hard-hitting beats, a strong soulful chorus performed by Lalomie Washburn, and Busta's commanding vocal delivery, the remix perfectly captures the crossover sound that dominated urban clubs and radio playlists throughout the late '90s.

With this newly remastered version, the track sounds fresher and more relevant than ever, proving its timeless appeal for both longtime fans and a new generation of listeners.

A standout example of hip-hop remix culture, ""Dangerous (Soul Society Remix)"" remains a favorite among fans of classic East Coast rap, golden-era club remixes, and collectors of rare Busta Rhymes releases. The track showcases the creative remix approach that helped extend the success of the original single and further cemented Busta Rhymes' reputation as one of hip-hop's most dynamic and influential performers.

Released on Original Gravity, the "You Don't Love Me (No No No) / Part 2" 7" is a split release by Donnoya Drake and Prince Alphonso & The Fever, bringing together a new take on the classic on side A and an independent continuation as "pt.2" on side B. Catalog number OGR918 identifies this label release as a classic single issue.

Donnoya Drake takes on the compositions by McDaniel / Cobbs / Penn and delivers the melody with a soulful voice over an arrangement that leans toward ska and early reggae; on the flip side, Prince Alphonso & The Fever contribute a two-part continuation that picks up the theme while setting its own rhythmic accents. The release is available both digitally and as a limited 7" and is categorized style-wise within the palette of ska, early reggae, and soul.

Producer Neil Anderson is responsible for the recordings not only as arranger, but also as multi-instrumentalist (drums, guitar, piano); the ensemble is rounded out by trombone, saxophones, and bass, which shape the warm, analog-tinged sound. Mastering was handled by David Doll. The limited 7" pressing comprises 500 copies and is distributed via the Original Gravity shop; Bandcamp lists shipping starting in August 2026.

The splatter vinyl edition of the "Remixes Splatter Vinyl Edition" 7" by B Bunny is released on Jdigs. It brings together remix versions that recut existing motifs and place the focus on texture and rhythm. B Bunny is characterized by a stripped-down yet detail-oriented approach; distinctive vocal lines meet layered synth textures and concise bass motifs that, in these reworks, bring different facets to the surface.

The versions presented on the 7" emphasize contrasts: dense, percussion-driven sections stand alongside open, atmospheric passages, giving each rendition its own focus. The arrangements often remain sparsely structured, but leave room for surprising breaks and subtle effects that steer the source material into new conceptual directions.

Sonically, the remixes rely on clear separation between layers and a pronounced low-end definition, while delicate overtone structures create spatial depth. For listeners interested in carefully crafted renditions, the 7" offers a focused, concise listening experience. The splatter variant of the pressing underlines this as a special edition and turns the release into a characterful entry in B Bunny’s body of work, both visually and musically.

"Lovely Night / Call You Up" by Kinky Foxx appears as a 7" release on Inner Strength / Super Disco Edits and brings together two reworked, previously unreleased cuts by the band. The single is part of the SDE series under catalog number SDE86, featuring "Lovely Night" on the A-side and "Call You Up" on the B-side.

The A-side is based on a demo from the late 1970s / early 1980s that has been upgraded sonically and vocally for this edition; Vincent Lilly Jr. provides new lead vocals, with production handled by Curtis Styles, giving the tracks their original 1980s boogie flavor while adding contemporary clarity. Composition-wise, the material closely follows the synth and funk aesthetics of that decade, while being conceived as a dancefloor-ready rework for modern sets.

Kinky Foxx can be described as a versatile funk outfit whose roots lie in the Bahamas scene and which later incorporated musicians active in New York; this history explains the blend of Caribbean rhythmics and urban soul sensibility that still comes through on this 7". Songwriting credits list Johnny Kemp alongside Kinky Foxx.

The release puts the focus on craftsmanship in restoration: both tracks have been carefully refreshed so that the organic elements of the original recordings—funk guitars, synth-heavy arrangements, and striking vocal lines—are preserved, while the production has been optimized for contemporary playback contexts.

O.B.F is responsible for the production and brings the rhythmic foundation together in a clear and powerful way.

The B-side features the instrumental take on “Danger Dub,” which transforms the original theme into a dense, dark dub version and employs typical production techniques such as heavy echo, reduced bass frequencies, and spatial effects. In addition to Joe Yorke and O.B.F, the release shows compositional references to older Studio One arrangements; at the same time, the execution remains modern and sound system-oriented. Penza Penza’s “The Least Possible Amount Of Responsibility / Under The Stone” 7-inch was released on Funk Night and presents two compact funk/soul tracks from the project led by M. Panfilov. The A-side, “The Least Possible Amount Of Responsibility,” carries a composition credit to M. Panfilov and is driven by a distinctive groove built on punchy drums and concise guitar figures. The B-side, “Under The Stone,” provides contrast with more muted textures and a more restrained arrangement.

On this release, Penza Penza combines raw garage-funk aesthetics with psychedelic tonal shades, while Funk Night presents the two tracks as a focused 45 rpm pairing. The arrangements emphasize rhythmic clarity and spacious instrumentation: driving bass, pointed guitar licks and occasional horn sketches provide the characteristic energy already evident in earlier Penza Penza releases. The “The Least Possible Amount Of Responsibility / Under The Stone” 7-inch makes both the immediate danceability and the project’s subtler, atmospheric side audible, adding a concise two-track statement to Penza Penza’s body of work on Funk Night.

Throughout the single, the production remains clear and powerful; vocals and horns are arranged so that both rhythmic depth and melodic catchiness stand out. For funk and soul fans, this 7" offers a compact, tightly focused presentation of the band’s current dynamics and songwriting quality, confirming Konkolo Orchestra as an ensemble with a strong rhythmic identity.

The latest in our series of Limited Edition 7x7" Soul Box Sets celebrates the work of Dave Hamilton.

Dave's musical career in Detroit stretched from the 40s into the 80s. He was involved in all black music styles during that period - blues, jazz, and gospel as well as soul music. A talented songwriter, he wrote or contributed to ten of the fourteen compositions here and produced them all in his studios. Though his released output was modest, considering the amount of recording he did, the gems in his tape vaults have been surprising and entertaining black music lovers since they were accessed by Ace in 1990. That purchase came about due to Richard “Gilly” Gilbert’s detective work in discovering that a big covered-up Northern Soul spin at Wigan Casino was actually Dave’s production on “Little Ann” Bridgeforth. The ensuing years have seen soul tracks in all genres, issued on Kent and BGP and we are still discovering great tracks 36 years on. Witness ‘You Got Me Where You Want Me’ by Chico & Buddy, a fabulous funky number from around 1970 that would have been a soul fan’s favourite whenever it was issued; this is its first public appearance. Funk crosses over to all dance scenes these days and even jazzier tracks like Dave’s own ‘Soul Suite’, a close relation of his coveted ‘Pisces Piece’ will pick up plays now it is on vinyl. Northern Soul lovers have been demanding J T Rhythm’s ‘I Love The Way You Walk’ on a seven, as have Motown connoisseurs with Rita DuShay’s original of ‘All I Need (Steal Away Tonight)’ as covered by Barbara McNair on her 1966 Motown LP. Original copies exist of the Ravins ‘Your Love Is What I Want’ but unless you have several grand to spare on this fast and furious dancer, our audio-enhanced release is a great substitute; especially with the Kent 45 deleted. OC Tolbert delivers a tough and menacing Clarence Reid song ‘Along Came A Woman’ which has huge dancefloor potential, like Dave’s own bluesy vocal on his similarly gritty, R&B composition ‘Take Care Of Your Own Business’. Dave’s accomplishments into the 70s and 80s are admired by modern soul lovers and his ‘Ride The Disco Train’ by the Moderations, hit a perfect groove for progressive clubs of the genre. Both the Felecia Johnson and New Experience tracks thrive on the laid-back atmosphere Dave was able to conjure up in his home studios and the talented singers present his thoughtful songs with panache. With enhanced audio for both of Little Ann’s uptempo and ballad classics ‘What Should I Do’ / ‘Deep Shadows’ this box set is irresistible as well as being a tribute to the unsung heroes of Detroit Soul music.

"Carolina, Carol Bela" by DJ Koco Aka Shimokita feat. Q.A.S.B. is available as a 7" on Bloom Music (BLMS-023) and combines DJ Koco’s DJ expertise with the soulful band sound of Q.A.S.B. The single presents itself as a compact, vinyl-focused edition that deliberately brings out the track’s grooves and melodic motifs.

DJ Koco Aka Shimokita is known for his love of 7" pressings and his precise work with 45 rpm material; his style is characterized by careful selection, creative re-edits, and a keen sense for rhythmic nuances. This working method suggests that his take on the track on this record integrates both DJ-oriented arrangements and playful live elements.

Q.A.S.B. bring their background in modern soul and funk to the table; the band regularly works with acoustic and horn-driven arrangements that combine vocal warmth and instrumental finesse. Their contribution gives the version additional organic character and positions the A-side between retro soul and contemporary club aesthetics.

The title refers to the classic “Carolina, Carol Bela” theme by Jorge Ben/Toquinho, which for decades has served as a source for remixes and sample-based takes and has thus also gained recognition in the electronic scene. DJ Koco takes up this tradition and translates the melodic legacy into a 7"-friendly format that speaks to DJs and listeners alike.

Limited vinyl edition of 100 copies available exclusively at HHV.

The 7" titled "More Soup (2020 Potatohead People Instrumental) / Frank & Beans HHV Exclusive Vinyl Edition" brings together the key collaboration between Moka O. & MF DOOM and supplements it with an instrumental rendition. The A-side presents the SixToo-produced original featuring MF DOOM’s distinctive guest appearance, plus a newly updated instrumental version by Potatohead People; the flip side offers another classic from the Moka archive with "Frank & Beans." This compilation is being released officially on vinyl for the first time.

Moka O. & MF DOOM unite two very different voices in hip-hop here: Moka O. brings his melodic, often jazzy production and rap tradition from the Canadian scene, while MF DOOM’s intricate rhyme techniques and idiosyncratic flow patterns provide striking contrasts. Stylistically, the track stays close to classic boom-bap, built on dry drums and warm samples, and relies on dense, lyric-driven structures that characterize both artists.

The production credits for the record are clearly laid out: SixToo is responsible for the original production, Potatohead People supply the 2020 instrumental version, and "Frank & Beans" is credited as a track produced by Moka himself—contrary to the widespread attribution to J Dilla. The edition highlights the curated selection and the production stories behind the tracks.

The first new material from Krash Slaughta since last autumn sees the producer return with two limited A Tribe Called Quest remixes on 7".

On the A-side, “Scenario (Krash Remix)” receives a gritty, guitar-led new beat that takes the track away from the Afro-centric jazz-hop sound of Native Tongues and into considerably tougher territory.

On the flip, “Buggin' Out” is a co-production with and tribute to the late Soul Condor. The remix retains the jazzy character of the original while replacing its minimal double-bass-driven production with a more Latin-influenced approach reminiscent of “Bonita Applebum”.

A strictly limited pressing, available in two vinyl editions.

Released on Funky Technician, the “I Keep The Crowd Listening” 7" by Lord Finesse delivers a focused, limited single edition of the classic in a compact format. The release includes the DJ Premier remix of “I Keep The Crowd Listening” plus the corresponding instrumental version on the B-side and comes in a heavyweight glossy jacket. This compact presentation puts the spotlight on the production: Premier handles the arrangement, delivering a dense, rhythmically refined rendition that clearly distinguishes itself from the original mix without losing the original drive.

The background of this edition goes back to Funky Technician (1990), the debut album that established Lord Finesse as a precise MC, skilled DJ, and accomplished producer. On the album, Diamond D, DJ Premier, and Showbiz worked on concise, boom bap-oriented tracks; this 7" picks up that aesthetic and shows how Premier sharpens the song structure with the production style he would become known for later on. For collectors and fans of Funky Technician, the single offers a focused snapshot: the reworked version of a key cut in a purist 7" presentation that clearly brings voice and beat to the forefront.

The "New Drug" 7" by Matthew Dear is released on Salon and presents the driving title track on the A‑side and the expansive piece "Head in the clouds" on the B‑side. This release is part of a series of three collectible 7" singles (SALON023–025), to which Bruno Pronsato and Rework contribute alongside Matthew Dear.

"New Drug" moves along the border between electro‑pop and pop‑oriented electronic music; the track leans on memorable hooks and a laid‑back groove that evokes subtle low‑rider vibes and at times recalls the warm, soulful band aesthetic of War. The structure stays singable while still electronically modulated, allowing the track to work as a catchy anthem with a clear club connection.

On the flip side, "Head in the clouds" unfolds a slower, hovering arrangement: broad washes of disco color meet hypnotic grooves, with the track building on atmospheric layers and extended passages that leave room for a sense of detachment. The orientation of the B‑side emphasizes a danceable yet otherworldly character.

For years, Matthew Dear has embodied a fusion of songwriting and electronic production; as a DJ, producer, and co‑founder of Ghostly International, he has shaped a distinct vocabulary somewhere between techno, pop, and disco. This 7" slots into his multifaceted body of work and adds a warm, melody‑focused contribution to the Salon series.

The "Volume 3" 7" by Lntg is released on Tuff Cut 7 and consistently continues the project’s edit series; as the third installment, the record delivers two carefully reworked soul classics that have been rearranged for use on the dancefloor. This volume focuses on concise, DJ‑friendly cuts and emphasizes groove‑oriented structures that work in clubs straight away.

Lntg — the abbreviation used for the producer long known as Late Nite Tuff Guy — follows a clear approach: cutting up old soul and disco gems in a way that preserves their melodic warmth while creating modern club dynamics. Characteristic are stripped‑back arrangements, emphasized rhythm sections, and carefully placed breaks and string parts that give the tracks a fresh danceability. This style has earned the artist a solid reputation in the scene as an edit specialist.

Side A features "Glow", while side B carries "Tite Hold" — two compact versions designed for DJ sets that work well as tools for transitions or peak moments. The release is announced as a limited edition; if you’re into precise, club‑focused soul edits, this 7" will make a tightly focused addition to your collection.

“Liroyana” 7" by Sven Weisemann is released on Freund der Familie as eco-organic (multi-colored) vinyl and continues the FDF DUBS series. Across two tracks, Weisemann showcases his preference for dub techno–tinged structures: “Liroyana” (05:38) builds on deep, slow-moving basslines and reverb-drenched effects, while “Eternal Midnight” (05:32) extends the stripped-back arrangement with warm low-end textures and subtle rhythmic accents. Both pieces bear the signature of a producer who fuses reggae and dub elements with a minimal club sensibility.

Production and mastering are by Sven Weisemann; the artwork is by Cheslo, and the record was manufactured at My45.de. As Weisemann’s second contribution to the FDF DUBS series, the release connects to earlier dub explorations and, through sparse, spatial processing, emphasizes a meditative depth. The pressing on eco-organic (multi-colored) vinyl underscores the physical presence of the tracks and complements the sonic aesthetic without superfluous effects. For fans of organic-sounding dub techno variations, “Liroyana” documents Weisemann’s ability to guide stripped-down arrangements into long, hypnotic atmospheres that unfold both in the club context and in focused listening.

Phillip George Allison was born and raised in Denham Town, West Kingston. Inspired from an early age by Curtis Mayfield, Smokey Robinson and Eddie Kendricks, his distinctive falsetto earned him the nickname “George Smokey.” Together with Delroy Williams and Shirley Forbes he formed The Mad Lads, who recorded at Studio One with the Sound Dimensions after an audition with Leroy Sibbles. Allison later left music to study electrical engineering before producer Carl Prince brought him back into the studio. Both tracks on this single originally appeared on his 1984 album So Unusual. “Gypsy Woman” is Allison's interpretation of the Curtis Mayfield & The Impressions song, delivered in his distinctive falsetto style. “War Is Ugly” was written in response to politically motivated violence in Jamaica, carrying a message against guns and war and in favour of love.

Released on Batov, the “Tokyo” 7" by Sababa 5 / Yurika Hanashima is a split release that links the band’s instrumental playfulness with Yurika’s clear, Japanese‑tinged voice. The record joins the series of collaborative singles through which Sababa 5 connect traditional Middle Eastern elements with contemporary groove aesthetics.

The title track opens with a grooving guitar riff carried by a springy bassline and distinctive, almost ululating keyboard figures; vocally, Yurika keeps things restrained but adds melodic phrases that give the arrangement a narrative core. The production balances organic instrumentation and contemporary rhythms, making the composition feel both familiar and new.

The B‑side, “Nasnusa,” opens with an extended guitar solo that flows into a groove inspired by Mizrahi motifs; here, Sababa 5’s signature style comes through, weaving folk inflections, psychedelia, and funk into a dense, danceable texture. As a 7" single, the track documents the intersection between regional sound traditions and international pop aesthetics, in the spirit of several releases Batov has been championing.

Cold Diggin’ presents the release as a concise 12-inch that can make an immediate impact both on the dancefloor and in DJ sets. The “La Pava Congona / Soul Makossa” 7-inch by Andres Landero Y Su Conjunto and Afrosound, released on Panorama, unites two striking takes on Latin American dance music on a single record. With it, Panorama brings together a classic cumbia version and an Afro-Latin counterpart in a compact release.

On side A, “La Pava Congona” presents Andres Landero in top form; known as “El Rey de la Cumbia,” he makes the accordion sound raw, hypnotic, and instantly danceable. The recording thrives on its rolling rhythm, clear call-and-response phrases, and a striking accordion line that turns the track into a signature cumbia tune. On the flip side, Afrosound offers a powerful take on Manu Dibango’s classic “Soul Makossa,” where driving percussion and sharply defined horn accents generate an Afro-Latin energy that makes the flip a fitting complement to side A.

The single thus puts both Andres Landero and Afrosound in the spotlight: Landero confirms his stature with an unmistakable accordion performance, while Afrosound underlines its connection to Afro-Caribbean grooves and funky arrangements. For listeners who appreciate classic cumbia and Afro-Latin references, this Panorama 7-inch offers a focused, musically expressive encounter between the two traditions.

The “O Mensageiro” 7" by Trio Ternura is released on Vampisoul and brings two tracks that were originally exclusive to singles by the Brazilian family vocal group back to the surface. Vampisoul is reissuing the recording as a 45 RPM edition, with the clear format choice emphasizing the rhythmic precision and vocal arrangements of the tunes. The “O Mensageiro” 7" by Trio Ternura is aimed at listeners, DJs, and collectors interested in rare gems from the history of Brazilian pop and soul.

Trio Ternura, a true family project made up of three siblings, released several 7-inch singles with exclusive material in addition to a number of albums; “Razão De Ser” (1972) is one of these tracks and combines sophisticated vocal harmonies with influences from soul and Brazilian rhythms. This soulful track appears on the B-side, while the A-side presents “O Mensageiro” as an uptempo, catchy song whose driving grooves and concise melodic lines make it a strong choice for the dance floor.

The “O Mensageiro” 7" by Trio Ternura on Vampisoul documents a small, previously hard-to-access facet of the group and adds two single-exclusive gems to the band’s reissues. The new edition makes these rare tracks audible again and deliberately highlights the musical range of Trio Ternura.

The “10 Bricks” 7" by Raekwon is released on Fat Beats / Ice H20 as a Coke Bottle Clear vinyl edition and features guest appearances by Ghostface Killah and Cappadonna. This exclusive 7" centers on a single standout track and presents the song in packaging that will appeal to collectors: Coke Bottle Clear vinyl, a full-color picture jacket, and an OBI strip complete the presentation.

Musically, the release showcases J Dilla’s unmistakable production, giving Raekwon, Ghostface, and Cappadonna room for sharp verses and dense street imagery alike. “10 Bricks” originally appeared on Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt. II (2009) and already benefited then from Dilla’s gritty, driving sonic aesthetic; on this 7" the vocal version appears on side A, while the instrumental is found on side B and makes this pressing a functional reference for DJs and sample-based producers.

This new Fat Beats / Ice H20 edition represents the first dedicated 7" release for “10 Bricks”; previously the track was available solely as the B-side of a Japan-exclusive 12" featuring “House of Flying Daggers.” In the context of the recent recognition of the Shaolin crew, including the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, this 7" delivers a precise, lovingly crafted addition for fans of Raekwon, J Dilla, and the wider Wu-Tang universe.

In the early 90s, led by Nicola Conte, the Fez collective in Bari, Italy, reshaped contemporary jazz through groove, experimentation and a distinctly Mediterranean sensibility. Within this environment the earliest recordings associated with what would become Schema Records first appeared, released at the time through Right Tempo. With a series of three 45rpm releases Schema Records revisits some of its earliest productions, all newly remastered from the original masters. The first 7” in this series includes Quintetto X’s reinterpretation of Marcos Valle’s classic “Mentira”, here proposed in a completely new format, as a two-part composition, unfolding across both sides of a 45 rpm single. Originally released in 1994 on a rare EP, the track perfectly captures the musical identity of Quintetto X: sophisticated rhythms, refined jazz harmonies and melodic ideas shaped by both Brazilian influences and the vibrant acid jazz scene of the European club music.

The "Alteleyeshegnem" 7-inch by Alemayehu Eshete is released on Philophon and brings together two distinctive tracks from the singer’s collaboration with the label, newly reworked for this edition. On the A-side, the Philophon house band presents the title track as a funky rendition: a driving beat, mystical harmonic textures, and a pumping bassline give this classic new contours.

Alemayehu Eshete is regarded as one of the defining voices of Ethiopia; his vocal style fuses soulful emotion with clear phrasing and a readiness to adapt to U.S. soul trends, making him a central figure in the Ethiopian soul scene. In these renditions, his striking timbre remains the focal point, while the house band’s arrangements create space for modern rhythms and dense horn sequences.

Both tracks were specially remastered for this release to emphasize presence and detail on the 7-inch medium; the collaboration between Alemayehu Eshete and Philophon was initiated by Listros e.V. Berlin with support from the German Federal Cultural Foundation, which situates the record not only musically but also within a broader cultural context.

The “Thinking It Over / Im In Love With You” 7" by Cannon And Thrower was released on Citadel / Super Disco Edits. This slim single brings together two previously little-noticed soul gems and puts the focus on warm vocal arrangements and sophisticated instrumental parts that reflect the character of the early eighties. The release carries the label mark SDE85 and is the first time in decades that these two tracks are available again in a physical format.

Behind the songs are Derek Cannon as composer and Hardy Thrower as lyricist; the recordings were made at Golden Track Studios in Santee, California, with additional production by Donald McKinney. For the A-side “Think It Over” and the B-side “Im In Love With You,” ten- to twelve-piece backing ensembles were used, defined by punchy horns, subtle keyboard textures and subtly played flute solos. These credits and the background story of the sessions are part of the advance information provided for the reissue.

Musically, the duo combines soulful West Coast soul with a light, melodic touch of funk; the cuts are built around relaxed tempos, elegant melodic arcs and expressive lead vocals without falling into standard chart formulas. The arrangements emphasize sonic detail and playful musicianship, making this 7" a documentary-style glimpse into a regional soul project from the early eighties.

The colored vinyl edition of the “Save Their Souls (Omakase's 3min Cooking Edit) / Singing A Song For My Mother (Omakase's 3min Cooking Edit)” 7" by Bohannon was released on Solid/Brunswick.

The A-side and B-side are based on two standout tracks from Bohannon’s early work: “Save Their Souls” and “Singing a Song for My Mother,” which originally appeared on the early‑1970s album “Stop & Go,” where they showcase the warm blend of funk, soul, and early disco drive. These new 3‑minute edits distill the original arrangements into a concise form, spotlight breaks and solos with precision, and make the cuts well-suited for DJ sets and short vinyl rotation.

Musically, Bohannon’s percussion‑centered groove meets dense guitar work and soulful choral parts; Ray Parker Jr. and Wah Wah Watson are documented on the original recordings as key contributors, while Bohannon himself handled production and arrangement. Cutting the tracks down to three minutes preserves their characteristic mood but pushes the rhythmic motifs and vocal interjections further to the fore.

The “OMAKASE 3min Cooking” edits concept, initiated by DJ Kenta and DJ Souljah, presents selected classics as compact 7" versions aimed at use in DJ contexts and at showcasing individual key moments from the original tracks. The combination of Bohannon’s classic funk foundation with the precise editing results in a playful yet respectful rendition of his material.

Originally released in Japan in the early 1990s, "Make Me Know It" offers a glimpse into a moment when reggae and lovers rock were taking root in unexpected places. The record pairs Chieko Beauty's understated vocal style with Miyazaki Izumi aka Dub Master X's production, resulting in a sound that feels equally informed by Jamaican traditions and Tokyo's rapidly expanding musical landscape. Built around a subtle interpolation of Manuel Göttsching's E2-e4 – already immortalised by Sueño Latino – the record brings together musical traditions that, on paper at least, have little reason to meet. Chieko Beauty would go on to become one of the defining voices of Japanese reggae, collaborating with artists including Mad Professor, Yann Tomita and Emerson Kitamura. This 7" revisits an early chapter in that story.

The "Stand On Business" 7" by Sean Paul is released on VP and pairs his distinctive voice with a production by King Jammy. The A-side features the vocal cut "Stand On Business," while the B-side offers a "Sleng Teng Version" arranged by King Jammy; in doing so, the single draws particular attention to classic riddim craftsmanship. VP issues the track as a 7" and lets Sean Paul’s vocal presence meet a sharply defined backing riddim, with Jammy bringing the rhythmic foundation to the fore and giving both sides of the release equal weight.

The 7" comprises two tracks totaling around seven minutes of playing time and highlights how Sean Paul links contemporary dancehall performance with traditional studio techniques. The production by King Jammy and the decision to set a pure version against an instrumental or dub variation make the "Stand On Business" 7" a compact statement within VP’s current catalog. For collectors and listeners who focus on arrangement and riddim, this 7" offers a direct juxtaposition of vocal and version.

The “Rebel 2026 Edition w/ Small Centre Hole” 7" by Rothadam is being released on Shella and documents the 2026 repress with new labels, a small center hole, and the new catalog number SR015. This edition puts the sought-after single back into circulation and preserves the historical character of the recordings, while the pressing clearly presents the two versions united on the vinyl.

Musically, “Rebel” evokes the atmospheric density of the Black Ark productions: Rothadam’s voice is at once fragile and determined, while a heavy bass and an opulent horn section carry the arrangement. The lyrics are an appeal for peace and unity and reflect experiences from Trenchtown; Rothadam describes the hardships of his environment and the need to stand firm. This side of the record showcases roots reggae in its pure, emotional form.

The 7" is a genuine double-sider: two different versions of “Rebel” were recorded in Toronto around 1975/76, produced by Sid Lovejoy (LMP) and Ron Lewis (Half Moon), respectively, and backed each time by different bands. The reissue has been championed by sound systems and DJs such as King Shiloh and Gilles Peterson. Rothadam passed away in 2026; this repress edition is dedicated to his memory and brings his work closer to a new audience.

The “Itt007” 7" by It Takes Two is released on the label of the same name and continues the series of DJ-oriented 45s from the Hague crew. Founded in 2020 by Deejay Irie and Friss, It Takes Two once again delivers compact DJ tools at 90 BPM with this release: punchy edits, clean intros and outros, and scratch samples specifically designed for sets. Following the quickly sold-out releases 001 through 005, the new 7" builds on the “Edits by DJs for DJs” concept and is aimed at users looking for short, effective cuts for mixing and turntablism.

The A-side is designed as an ode to one of hip-hop’s first beef tracks, combining the source material with a reggae-inspired twist, a clean intro, and a catchy scratch sample that leaves room for creative transitions. The B-side offers the instrumental version of the A-side, making the record a flexible tool for live use and DJ manipulation. Support from the DJ community is already documented: sets by DJ Koco aka Shimokita, DJ Robert Smith, and Marc Hype (Dusty Donuts) are among the early plays. The “Itt007” 7" by It Takes Two stays true to the principle of short, dance-oriented 45s and invites repeated use in club settings with the simple motto, “Buy 2 and have more fun!”

The blue vinyl edition of the “Stampede / Teenage Heaven” 7" by the Stray Cats was released on Surfdog and pairs the new original composition “Stampede” with a distinct version of Eddie Cochran and Jerry Capehart’s “Teenage Heaven.” Issued on October 24, 2025, it marks the band’s first new recordings in roughly six years.

Both tracks were recorded at The Terrarium (Minneapolis) and Laguna Sound (Laguna Beach); production was handled by the Stray Cats themselves, with mixing by Chris Lord‑Alge. Musically, “Stampede” relies on driving, rhythmic accents: a Bo Diddley–style tom-tom groove that shifts into a swinging basic feel and is carried by clean guitar lines. “Teenage Heaven” stays true to the original while the three-piece sound of Brian Setzer (guitar, vocals), Lee Rocker (upright bass, vocals), and Slim Jim Phantom (drums, vocals) gives it a characteristic Stray Cats flavor.

In the press release, “Stampede” is credited as a song by Brian Setzer, Peter B. Antonio, Wally Zober, and Bert Salmirs; “Teenage Heaven” credits songwriters Eddie Cochran and Jerry Capehart. The 7" pressed on blue vinyl presents the two tracks prominently on the A and B side and adds a solid collectible to the band’s current chapter.

Released on Supa Jams, the “Freedom” 7" by The CJP Band condenses a year full of live shows and vinyl drops into one compact single and appears as a limited pressing with a hand-stamped sleeve. With this small but finely crafted release, Supa Jams and The CJP Band deliver a deliberately laid-back counterpoint to their previous 12" bangers; the edition carries the clear warning “Don't Sleep” and opts for a concise, collectible presentation.

Musically, “Freedom” hints at the festival-ready vibe that The CJP Band has recently established at shows like their We Out Here set: on the A-side, a sweet vocal performance by guitarist Geoff Lai meshes with heavy drum breaks and distinctive basslines that drive the groove. The B-side presents the eponymous “String Dub” version, where signature CJP strings glide over a stripped-back instrumental foundation, leaving plenty of space for atmosphere. Both sides are built on striking rhythmic elements and a warm, band-typical sense of arrangement that The CJP Band confidently brings to Supa Jams even in smaller formats. Anyone already familiar with the band from their 12" releases will find the “Freedom” 7" to be a focused snapshot of their contemporary funk/soul approach.

The compilation “Diggers Delights 09 Volume 9” 7-inch on Diggers Delight delivers two focused DJ tools that can be dropped directly into sets, emphasizing performance-oriented applications. On Side A, J brings out a rare batucada loop and combines it with a tropical party feel; a skanking keytar part adds accents at key moments and provides an immediately usable transition for dancefloor situations. Diggers Delight positions the A-side as a tool for quick deployment, bringing rhythmic, dynamic energy to a DJ set.

The B-side brings back a classically structured mashup version with The S-Man: smooth funk elements and a well-balanced groove make the track a relaxed yet effective filler for slower moments in a set. Diggers Delight thus deliberately focuses on contrasting tools that work both on club floors and in sample-based live performances. The 7-inch “Diggers Delights 09 Volume 9” is aimed at users looking for concise, immediately usable DJ tools and expands the label’s catalog with two complementary sides distinguished by clearly defined rhythmic and textural characteristics.

The “Movin' On” 7" by The Charities is released on Colemine and adds another distinctive standalone entry in the funk/soul field to the label’s catalog. The Charities, a West Coast band, combine a lean rhythm section with smooth melodies and clear backing vocals; this stylistic blend forms the core of the track, giving the song both retro charm and contemporary warmth.

“Movin' On” was written by Anthony Masino and produced by him; it was recorded at Penrose Recorders, which audibly lends the arrangement nuances of a live session atmosphere. The single focuses on tight songwriting that respectfully showcases the vocal lines and precisely arranged horn parts, while the production places clear emphasis on groove and vocals. The result is a focused, danceable 7" that fuses the characteristic Colemine sound with the band’s own signature, presenting The Charities as confident standard-bearers of modern sweet soul.

The “Dossier” 7" by Piero Umiliani was released on Palace and brings together four selected pieces from different phases of his career, newly remastered and issued on 7" for the first time. The A-side presents “Dossier,” a track from the Moggi album “News! News! News!” (1979), and “Discomania,” originally released as a The Soundwork-Shoppers track on “Discomusic” (1978); both cuts come with a pronounced, gritty, funk-laced disco character.

On the B-side, two earlier compositions move into focus: “Mondo Dove Vai? (Complesso Beat Con Effetti Elettronici Version)” is taken from “Questo Sporco Mondo Meraviglioso” (1971), and “Hippies (Part 2)” from “Psichedelica” (1968). The compilation emphasizes the contrasting sonic facets of Umiliani’s work—from rough disco grooves to pronounced psychedelic textures—highlighting the range of his output for film and TV.

The edition has been reworked for this release; the tracks have been remastered and given editorial treatment by Andrei Nikolsky. With “Dossier,” Palace delivers a precisely curated 7" edition that offers both collectors of historic library gems and lovers of distinctive, filmic soundscapes a compact selection from Umiliani’s rich archive.

His Lordship and Chuck Berry’s “Nadinenadine Limited” 7-inch is released on Chiswick and presents a deliberately conceived juxtaposition: a fresh recording by His Lordship meets Chuck Berry’s original version of “Nadine.” As a split release, Chiswick offers a tribute to the early roots of rock ’n’ roll, with the band led by singer and guitarist James Walbourne reimagining the classic song while giving it an urgent character of its own.

His Lordship’s recording draws on the original’s iconic melodies and guitar motifs without hiding behind its source material; instead, it creates powerful moments where raw drive and precise musicianship come together. Opposite it is Chuck Berry’s historic version, which makes the song’s origins audible and connects it to the tradition. With the “Nadinenadine Limited” 7-inch, Chiswick delivers a compact release that offers both fan appeal and music-historical significance, deftly highlighting the connection between the present and the classics of rock ’n’ roll.
