DJ Rocca Tonight Is The Night

“Tonight Is The Night” by DJ Rocca is being released as a 12-inch on Sosilly (SSR013) and brings together three tracks that fuse classic disco and Italo influences with a contemporary club sensibility. On the A-side you’ll find the joint track with Lex (Athens) as well as two solo cuts that distill the concise, dancefloor-focused concept of the record to its essence.

Musically, the palette ranges from sun-soaked grooves shot through with yacht-funk to straight-up Italo-boogie patterns; driving LinnDrums, distinctive synth leads, and a clear bassline trade places with warm pads, giving each side its own character without losing the overall direction. This balance between nostalgia and club functionality defines the sound of the release.

In the accompanying write-up, Luca “DJ Rocca” Roccatagliati is portrayed as a shape-shifting producer whose career reaches back to the late ’90s and who has appeared, among other aliases, as Maffia Soundsystem. His collaborations with heavyweights like Dimitri From Paris, Daniele Baldelli, or Jazzanova, and releases on labels such as Rekids, Toy Tonics, or International Feel, testify to his stylistic breadth; the new cuts on Sosilly add a focused, dance-oriented facet to this trajectory.
