Lucio M A Flicker Of Light EP

The A Flicker Of Light EP 12" by Lucio M, released on Stasis, is his label debut and presents four tracks of modern, atmospheric drum & bass. Here, Lucio M interweaves the scene’s established lineages with his own accents, delivering a dense, form-conscious short-form release that leans both on melodic spaces and on precise, driving breaks. The title track on A1, “A Flicker Of Light,” channels the DNA of the golden era of atmospherics with palpable authenticity and fervor, setting the starting point for the remaining cuts.

The EP also includes “Dreamscapes” (A2), “About A Good Place” (B1), and “Futureshock” (B2), which explore the spectrum from expansive soundscapes to pinpoint rhythmic detail. On A Flicker Of Light EP, Lucio M demonstrates how traditional elements from the foundations of jungle and drum & bass can be translated into contemporary arrangements without diluting their origins. With this 12-inch, Stasis delivers a compact, coherent introduction to the artist that probes the atmospheric side of speed while still leaving room for repeated listening.
