Magi Merlin Power House HHV Exclusive Ecomix Citrus Vinyl Edition

Limited edition of 150 copies, only at HHV!

The Citrus Vinyl Edition of Magi Merlin’s Power House LP, released on Bonsound, gathers the twelve tracks of her debut album on yellow marbled eco‑mix vinyl and places particular emphasis on production and presentation. The pressing highlights the clear arrangements and carries the dense, often electronically refined instrumentation directly onto the medium.

Musically, Power House moves in the realm of modern pop with pronounced R&B inflections; the songs combine incisive melodies, rhythmic subtleties, and a voice that shifts between insistent directness and vulnerable intimacy. Lyrically, the work explores questions of self‑perception, body image, and relationship dynamics, using high‑contrast arrangements to make the ambivalence of these themes audible. The LP consists of compact, memorable tracks that are densely crafted in both production and songwriting.

Rooted in Montreal, Magi Merlin is known for her idiosyncratic blend of pop sensibility and experimental sound design; on Power House she works closely with her longtime collaborator Funkywhat, who is involved in both composition and production. The record thus brings together personal perspectives and professional studio work into a thoughtful debut that puts both the songwriter and the producer in the spotlight.
