The orange vinyl edition of the “Die Ungestellte Antwort” LP by MC Rene was released on R95 and presents this self-released production as a musical companion to the book of the same name. The LP expands the literary project with an audio layer in which narrative passages are interwoven with musical compositions.

On the record, MC Rene explores central themes such as origin, memory, loss, anger, and reconciliation; the tracks move between rap, spoken word, and atmospheric soundscapes. Style-wise, the work combines precisely crafted rhymes with a narrative tone, stripped-down beats, and occasional free passages, allowing the narrative to take shape in different sonic spaces.

René El Khazraje (MC Rene), born in 1976 in Braunschweig, looks back on a long career: his solo debut in the 1990s, his work as a host on VIVA, and numerous essays on hip-hop culture all shape his voice as an artist and author. On “Die Ungestellte Antwort,” he brings this experience together and translates autobiographical reflections into a musical form that consistently prioritizes linguistic precision and thematic depth.

The LP focuses on the connection between text and sound and documents a deliberate step toward making personal memory audible in compositional form.
