D-Stroy of The Arsonists & Tony TouchTouch & D-Stroy '94 Demo EP
D-Stroy, a Bushwick native and Tony Touch, who moved into the hood in his 20s, met one fateful day in 1990 in a now long-gone local record store in Bushwick, Brooklyn and developed a friendship that has lasted throughout their respective music careers. Both shared a common cultural background - they both had been touched by the NYC Hip Hop movement of the 1980s and both were from Puerto Rican descent. These tracks from 1994 were the culmination of many years writing and performing as a duo. During their time together as an MC and DJ act they never recorded any of the material on vinyl and never had a record deal. The live act evolved naturally into first, the almost mythical Bushwick Bomb Squad and then into Fondle'em and Matador recording artists the Arsonists. We at Chopped Herring Records have excavated 6 never-before-heard BOMBS from this early period. None have been leaked before, none are on Youtube - so this is some fresh, 1994, straight out the vaults shit.
