Hamilton BohannonStop & Go
psychy soul-funk album on Brunswick's subsidiary Dakar.
Pre-dating his disco stomping period, this is a wonderful debut
solo-record from the one and only Hamilton Bohannon, recorded
in 1972. Featuring both instrumentals and tracks with great
female vocals, this album has some very cool basic drum work,
thick bass and lots of filthy, psychedelic, wah wah guitar from
Melvin Ragin. Guaranteed filler-free and truly trippy! Bohannon
started his career in the '60s as a drummer for Stevie Wonder's
live shows and he also was a Motown session-drummer.
