By spring of 1967, anticipation about the release of The Jimi Hendrix Experience's debut album had reached a fever pitch, especially in the UK, where Jimi had been living since late 1966 and where he had formed The Experience. The BBC, hip to the underground hype on Hendrix's group, booked him on multiple shows that year, leading up to and following the release of Are You Experienced. This limited edition splatter vinyl LP includes recordings from February, March, April, and October of 1967 and include killer versions of Hendrix classics like "Foxy Lady", "Manic Depression", "Stone Free", and "Purple Haze", as well as two great performances featuring the brilliant Stevie Wonder on drums.
