After exploding onto the Jamaican music scene in the early ‘60s, the trio of Frederick ‘Toots’ Hibbert, Nathaniel ‘Gerry’ McCarthy and Henry ‘Raleigh’ Gordon - collectively known as the Maytals - establish themselves as one of the island’s leading acts with a series of ska hits for a number of local record producers. Now, 40 years after the group cut the tracks in Jamaica, the seminal LP finally receives the deluxe treatment it has long since deserved. Featured along with the original 10 tracks are an equal number of bonus tracks, comprising rare contemporary material, much of which has until now never seen issue.
