Release:1994 / EU – Reissue
Genre:Electronic / Dance
1994 - Chicago producer Rick Lenoir has already released a slew of legendary records under many well known aliases and his House Jam label has been in business since '87. The Sanctuary Project is the nom de plume utilised by Rick for this particular killer Disco infected 4 track EP from that period. The keen eared among you will no doubt recognise some of the sample sources used throughout these tracks, Lenoir flips jazzy loops, chopped up vocals and lays it all out over some kicking drum programming, this is that style of sample based House that has the hardened dance heads and hip-hoppers unified, gritty, raw and brimming over with soul! The cuts featured on this EP will sit nicely with most contemporary sounds and shows how on the money Rick was in the mid 90's! The record has long been out of print and has been forever popular with the diggers out there, commanding a healthy price when available in the second hand stores and online. This reissue has been realised with the full involvement of Rick Lenoir / House Jam Records, Chicago and is 100% legit! Don't snooze, this one deserves a spot in any self respecting House heads record bag or DJ set, classic material made available again for 2017 - 'Running it’!

Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Matrixxman has been a Dekmantel regular for a couple of years now. The San Francisco producer continues to impress with a new triptych for Dekmantel Records. Over the course of three EP’s (Rhythm, Acid, Polyphony), Charles McCloud Duff displays his versatile and original take on house and techno. The concept of the triptych is to explore the range within the confines of a particular limitation. This second EP "Sector II: Acid" shows an exercise in acid. Similarly, the TB-303 may conjure certain knee-jerk reactions at a glance, but acid has the potential to cover a broader palette of emotion than one might initially expect. Sector II holds three squirming 303 sequences and the classic rhythmic drum programming of ‘Arrival’, ‘Bad Acid’ and ‘I Am Matrix’. ‘Rites’ on the other hand is more subtle and fluent, swinging with hazy acid flourishes and dynamic syncopation.

The 12” plays the same both sides. Original mix only. Re-mastered by Matt Colton from the original DAT tapeOriginally released on vinyl R&S in 1994, ‘Meditation Will Manifest’ was re-earthed in 2016 by Nina Kraviz and Ricardo Villalobos, becoming a secret weapon on dancefloors 22 years after its original release.Josh Wink has always been ahead of musical trends and walks his own path in dance music. From a young age Wink was exposed to different mysticism and consciousness philosophies. “It wasn’t a big, popular or trendy thing to do at the time, but I was 14 and just did what my mother did… Releasing tracks like ‘Meditation Will Manifest’ and ‘Higher States of Consciousness’, people looked at me as being this deeply profound spiritual guy, but I never really thought about it in that way, even though I’m really into repetitive, transcendental and meditative rhythms. I don’t do drugs, so I never really had another outlet to get into alternative states.” – Josh Wink (taken from recent Mixmag article).“‘Meditation Will Manifest’ is quite rightly regarded as a classic track in the R&S catalogue. It’s one of the finest examples of acid house that we’ve released in our 30-year existence and it still sounds fresh today. We’re so glad that the original DAT tape has been found and that a whole new generation can experience it.” – R&S“It is exciting to see that a track that I made over 20 years ago is touching so many people once again. With DJs like Nina and Ricardo playing it recently, people have been wondering what it was… It makes me happy that the track still sounds relevant and still does its damage on the dance floor. We got in touch with the guys at R&S and decided to remaster the original and release it, as it has never been released digitally. Luckily I was able to my find the original DAT in the studio and we were able to make this happen." – Josh Wink

Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Charlois present Where is the Champion, Timothy J. Fairplay's first full length solo album. Twelve shifting, shuffling and shimmering tracks make up this debut. Cruising the highways and byways between proto-techno, horror disco and forlorn wave, Fairplay conjures up his creations from metal and smoke. Saturated snares, clipped claps and warbling chords are dusted with distortion. And this idea of distortion, manipulation and the blurred line is omnipresent. Innocent and sinister, cruel and playful, accepted boundaries are brazenly ignored as engines growl and synthlines soar.

Acid Test 12
12" | 2016 | EU | Original (Acid Test)

Release:2016 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
After a first collaboration focusing on the City of Angels, LA legend John Tejada and acid innovator Tin Man (Johannes Auvinen), this time brooding on the latter's home city, and former's birthplace, Vienna. The Austrian capital is known as "the city of music” and the "city of dreams,” two broadly aligning concepts that go far in describing this beguiling 12-inch. The four songs were mixed down live to 2 tracks, created in the real world without a daw, or multi tracking, which has really captured the spirit of performance and improvisation. Succeeding "Railjet,” a tense drum workout, comes "Bim,” referring to the colorful trams that run through Vienna. Here, Auvinen sculpts his 303 into near-pizzicato form. The acid box is accompanied by stately pads making for one of the duo's most memorable tracks yet. The next cut, "Danube Nights,” references the mighty, ancient river, the flow motion mirrored by a couple of widescreen acid lines. A pensive lead and some melancholy chords emerge, but the drums roll right along like the water- tough enough for a heaving floor with a hint of fragility for the headphones. The record concludes with the acidic "Prater Allee,” named after idyllic, sprawling park on the banks of the Danube. The duo's love letter to Vienna is well-suited for travel, for the dance and for dreaming.

Collin Strange lands on LIES. He is going to hit hard on this one!! Collin Strange has a long and storied history in the New York City underground music scene of the nineties. From owning a record shop in the East Village, to working at distributers, to playing in bands of all sorts, to producing music alone, Strange was around at one of the most vibrant (and transitional) times in the L.E.S., just on the cusp of Guliani's culture crackdown which choked the life out of the city, forcing many to leave. Currently located in Seattle, Strange has picked up where he left off years ago plugging in the gear and churning out blistering acid cuts with a very D.I.Y. edge that brings to mind Drop Bass Network, Unit Moebius, or free party French acid of old. Coming full circle these tracks are completely at home on L.I.E.S. and will undoubtedly thrash any sound system in sight. Play at maximum volume for total disruption.

What can be said about LNR's "Work it to the bone"? Another slamming piece of Chicago House history brought to us by the dynamic duo of Larry Thompson and Rick Lenoir (LNR - Larry N' Rick) of the cult House Jam label. This is some straight 1987 HEAT, real House music for the heads, from the very beginning! "Work it to the bone" does exactly that, works every single part of your body into a frenzy, a cacophony of jacking sparse drum programming with that infamous descending bassline and that dude chanting, asking us to join him "C'mon let's work!" This record is a total classic. Period. Featured on this official 2016 reissue we have 4 mixes of this monolithic slab of machine funk that originally came out on various pressing between 1987 - 1989: The vocal mix, the instrumental, LNR clubhouse remix and the LNR underground mix. n a sense, this is "the complete" collection of this cornerstone of Chicago House. The full set. All audio has been lifted from Rick Lenoir's private collection of reel to reel tapes from his basement and remastered accordingly. This reissue has been realised with the full involvement of Thompson & Lenoir and is 100% legit! Don't snooze, this one deserves a spot in any self respecting House heads record bag or DJ set, classic material made available again for 2016 - House is going on!

Genre:Electronic / Dance
Dripping Acid is a series of separate 12"s exploring themes of melodic liquid acid. Part 6 of 6 limited releases by the Tin Man!! -- For Tin Man, acid endures. Like the lapping of a sizzling ocean on the shores of a distant planet, the peaks and troughs of expansive 303 basslines have been a constant in the music of the producer born Johannes Auvinen. He dedicated his mid-2000s early period to the sound, and even as his productions have expanded in scope and style - from the vocaltinged techno of Cool Wave, Wasteland and Perfume, to the intricate, classical-leaning compositions of Vienna Blue - he has returned often to Roland's indelible bass synthesizer. His plaintive, searing melodies have anchored Absurd Recordings' venerable Acid Test series since its first release, and they've punched through the mix in the club music of recent collaborations with Gunnar Haslam (Romans), with Cassegrain, and also with John Tejada. So it wouldn't be accurate to call Tin Man's latest project, Dripping Acid, a rededication. Yet his most ambitious project to date - six 12"s comprised only of new acid compositions - embraces the style as wholeheartedly as he ever has. While the brittle machine-music of '80s Chicago is the blueprint of any acid track, Dripping Acid refrains from revivalism, instead looking forward and inward as it harnesses the 303's psychedelic potential through sumptuous production and adventurous composition. Though it's focused on a single style, Dripping Acid is tremendously diverse, expanding upon the evocative physicality of its track titles ("Evaporated Acid," "Drenched Acid," "Oozing Acid") to rend dancefloors of all shapes and sizes. Tin Man's acid can be exuberant and coy, bleak and technicolor, maximalist and impressionistic, even completely unrecognizable as acid - but as Auvinen stretches the sound to the point of snapping, he shows there's still bend in a decades-old template, and plenty more alien waves to ride.

Phuture only released a handful of tracks (plus an album a full decade after their debut), but have remained a legendary act in the development of Chicago house for their stomping 1987 single "Acid Trax", the track that began and defined the acid house sound. The group was formed by DJ Pierre, synthesizer fan Spanky and Herb J in 1985 as a recording entity to produce records for Pierre to mix into his sets at several crucial Chicago clubs. After being turned on to the high-pitched squelch of the Roland TB-303 synthesizer (marketed as a bassline machine for solo guitarists), the trio emerged from the studio with a track they called "In Your Mind". Ron Hardy previewed the track at his legendary club the Music Box - where it became known as "Ron Hardy's Acid Track" - and Phuture re-made the cut with production by Marshall Jefferson. Released on Trax Records in 1987, the single created a dividing point between the Chicago sound before and after it, with hundreds of "Acid Trax" imitations flooding the local market. After it caught on in Britain as well, the single soundtracked the wave of club madness which coalesced in the rave movement by the end of the decade. Re-mastered for 2014 and re released in original 1987 artwork. Released in conjunction with Trax / Harmless.

Mint Condition - A brand new record label focussed on excavating the outer fringes of classic House and Techno. Unreleased mixes, classics and overlooked gems mined from the last 20+ of contemporary dance music are the order of the day. From Chicago, Detroit and New York to London and beyond, Mint Condition have got their expert digging hats on to bring you exclusive heat and those rarer than rare jams that have been on your wants list for years! Dig in....The word 'classic' get's bandied around a lot when talking about certain records, artists, labels etc but rarely is it truly justified. In the case of the monumental slab of NYC deepness that is 'I'll Be Your Friend' we feel the tag is genuinely justified. Originally released in 1991 on the RCA label the track has been one of house music's most enduring anthems. Literally one of the deepest tracks out there, it's combination of Owen's vocals paired with the stellar production techniques of Def Mix's David Morales (and THOSE drums) is such a heady combination that the record crossed over so many scenes and to this day remains an evergreen staple in DJ's of all persuasions bags. Featured here we have all the original mixes (with the exception of the shorter radio edit) in their original forms. The record sounds as fresh as it ever did, the sort of track that never dates and will always fit into a set, the very definition of a classic.Legitimately re-released with the full involvement of RCA records for 2017 and remastered from the original sources specially for Mint Condition by London's very own Curvepusher. 100% legit, licensed and released. Dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at your new favourite reissue label - Mint Condition!.

After an EP on Creme Organization off-shoot Jericho One as DJ Plant Texture, Dona Basile now assumes his Dona alias for a new EP on the main label. Entitled The V.G.P Sessions, it features four new cuts from the Italian. Up first is a live cut version of 'Energia', a bristling electro track with globular bass and coarse hits. Turbulent but full of synth based serenity, it is a fine start. 'Cigarettes' is rugged and broken, with glossy IDM synths and corrugated drums all loosely arranged into something prickly and unsettling. 'The Deads At Twelve' then gets even more fucked up, with rusty synths and blown out drums making for a dystopian house groove that will likely soundtrack the apocalypse. Last but not least, 'Nr. 13' mixes up Detroit synths, wild acid, heavenly chords and chopped up, buried deep vocal samples into something that will fire every synapse in your body. This is outlier stuff from Dona that sounds like little else.

The Portuguese artist known as Goncalo Salgado also please son labels like Unknown to the Unknown and is a real hardware master. At The Gates ov Futron is a turbulent lack track with zipping acid and a cacophony of percussion that is visceral as well as cinematic. Drexciyan Aquarium is, as the name suggest, an aqueous electro track that slithers and slides through an expansive underwater world. Poseidon's Dream then offers a more rugged electro groove that is backed by heavenly pads and a real sense of loss in the synths. Last of all, Intergalactic Communication closes out this far travelling and intergalactic EP with a sci-fi deep house track that is filled with light, 909s and a sense that the end of the world is coming.

Liverpool artist Stu Robinson aka ASOK steps up to Creme Organization with a debut full length offering, A Mind Forever Voyaging, due out spring 2016. Featuring ten tracks of macho yet melodic, tender yet tense analogue house and techno, it is a continuation of the fine work the Scenery Records boss has done for labels like M>O>S and Mistress in the last few years. Something of a late starter, Robinson has fomented his own mystical, nostalgic, inventive analogue sound that makes you jack, as well as conjuring real emotions with his great knack for melody. This album was recorded live then edited down. "So if something doesn't sound good it either stays in or I re-record the whole thing," says Robinson, who used things like Maschine, tb303, analog RYTM, JX-8P, Microkorg, some plugins and "a shit load of old rave samples" to create his debut full length. All written at home over a period of a year or so, it proves the artist has plenty of ideas and more than enough skills to carry them off. All unified by a sense of emotion and kinked dance floor groove that has been picked up over the course of 25 years of living and breathing many different forms of dance music, it is an accomplished debut.

Dripping Acid is a series of separate 12"s exploring themes of melodic liquid acid. Part 5 of 6 limited releases by the Tin Man!!

In terms of "legendary" House records, it doesn't get any better than LNR's "Can't stop the house".Originally released in the golden year of 1987 the Chicago duo of Larry Thompson and Rick Lenoir (with a helpful production assist from the mighty Adonis and a dope remix from Steve "Silk" Hurley) crafted this anthemic slab of chunky, funked out jacking House. "Can't stop the house" is a straightforward, stripped back club track, no special FX - just straight up party music for sweaty dancefloors. This official 2016 reissue contains 4 mixes of this stone cold classic - The vocal mix, basement mix, house of trix mix and the rapid edit, all culled from the numerous pressings that came out in 1987 - 1989. In a sense, this is "the complete" collection of this cornerstone of Chicago House. The full set. All audio has been lifted from Rick Lenoir's private collection of reel to reel tapes from his basement and remastered accordingly. This reissue has been realised with the full involvement of Thompson & Lenoir and is 100% legit! Don't snooze, this one deserves a spot in any self respecting House heads record bag or DJ set, classic material made available again for 2016 - You can't stop it!

Aelfric Michael Avery has been a self-reliant artist for a long time. The Canadian producer has been exploring underground acid and rough, homemade techno since releasing his first material as Avery Monarch back in 1994. However it wasn't until more than ten years later that his music would surface again on his own Napalm Enema label. Varied projects such as Electrokinesia and Crown Jewel have yielded scores of digital EPs and albums, while Napalm Enema has also carried work by the likes of FaltyDL, Paul Blackford and Mrs Jynx. Avery has released just as much music under his Acid Elf guise, most notably appearing alongside +10 Acid Crew (Jodey Kendrick) for the sought-after Bruvs Acid EP, and now the alias makes a welcome return to vinyl with four essential tracks from the archives. There's a subdued, hypnotic and delirious quality to the productions on this EP for Arma, ranging from the uneasy delay pulses of “Fetus” to the metallic clamour of “Urban Wasteland”, but most importantly they're all injected with a distinctive personality that stands apart from the 303-tweaking masses. This is undoubtedly acid music, but it crackles with an energy far removed from the same cookie-cutter Chicago knock-off formula that so many turn out these days. Talking about the creation of these tracks, Avery explained that they were recorded between 2009 and 2010 in Parksville, a town by the ocean on Vancouver Island. The equipment list used for the sessions includes many perennial favourites such as the 606, 707, 808, 909, Jupiter 6, 101, 303, MS-20 and a Dopefer modular, all run through an erratic RE-201 Space Echo for extra analogue crust. He also explained the inspiration for the “Ultrasound” recordings were the tumultuous experiences of his wife's seizures during pregnancy, and the relief of both her and their son making it through such times uns

Robin De Wolf is a man of many talents (and identities). Almost two years ago, he co-produced a groundbreaking debut EP on our label, as one half of SHIN. At the moment, he's making a name for himself as 'Phara' with uncompromising hard techno on labels such as Black Sun and Stockholm LTD. And now he delivered us three solid tracks under his new alter ego 'Robert D'. While 'Un Ni Yo is a house track with a wavy sound and affective synths, the second A-sided track 'Dommel' is a banger that begins with a smooth intro that changes over into hard kicks and raw bass chords. On the B-side, you can find a more melancholic uptempo track that goes by the name of White's Wisdom. Interstellar Funk' tops it all off with a remix of 'Un Ni Yo' that combines the wavy sound of the original with synth-heavy electronics. An absolutly killer EP!

The legendary Lidell Townsell on the legendary TRAX label - What's not to like?'Get the hole' might sound like a fairly dubious title for an EP, but it works within the realms of Chicago house!Released in the golden year of '88, this EP contains nothing but vintage midwest ACID grooves! You could argue that the XXX rated message behind lead cut 'get the hole' is an early precursor of what would come out of the Chi via Dance Mania and other associated labels and artists in latter years. Rumour has it the track had an impact on the super underground B-more club scene too unsurprisingly! If you like your house music rough, ready & raw then this is for you! Warehouse sounds, box jams, it's all here!Remastered in conjunction with Trax Records, fully legit, now is the time to revisit a cornerstone of classic Chicago House music, often imitated, never bettered!

This one is for the dreamers - first up is ‘AA’ from newcomer T. Margos; it's your ultimate chance to cop that secret banger that's been blowing up dance-floors from London to Budapest this year. It's a tricky one - taking your mind into the stars with deep spacey pads, but yet working your body with the raw 303 bass and painfully heavy 909 treatment. Next on the A-side, Swiss wunderkind Douala's turn to fuel that spaceship of your dreams. ‘It’s All in Your Mind’ soothes your soul with dubby space echoes, tear jerking chord progressions and a dreamy acid bassline. As we slip into the lucid state of the dream, over on the B-side Ray Kandinski’s ‘Dirty Sneakers’ pieces together the kind dimension shifting dream-state that Disneyland could barely imagine. When those vocals and pads kick in, combined with the tricky beats everything becomes a wash of surrealism and logic – and it all happens just in time for you to awake into yet another dream, this time deep within your sub-conscious on ‘Walk Through’ by the mysterious DJ Lucy with Mike L. A nostalgic trip to your most beautiful memories, with uplifting flutes and Juno chords.

Drewsky strikes again! Coming straight outta 1994 "Phase II" is still slaying the dance-floor today in 2016! This one is big! It's more of that hard, raw Dance Mania style, no frills at all. Drewsky cutting up some Disco and flipping a well known Muzic Box classic kicks off the EP, "U can't see me" is straight fire - Ron Hardy would definitely approve. Across the rest of the EP Drew kicks out some heavy jams ranging from tripped out organ ghetto house bangers to gritty SP1200 hip hop beats. Overall the whole record is pure heat, and has long been in demand among house heads and collectors often fetching top dollar prices on the second hand market. This is the first time "Phase II" has ever been reissued in full, just as it was originally released in 1994, complete with original Dance Mania label artwork. 100% legit, reissued in conjunction with Dance Mania records, Chicago IL and Parris Mitchell - "4 U ALL".

Little is known about Konstantin Tschechow, the first and last time we met was around the turn of the millennium in the small city of Koenigsbrueck in the far east of Germany. It was during one of my regular night strolls through the countryside, when I ran into him accidentally. He was standing there in the middle of nowhere leaning on the fence of a train yard where he was, as he said "recording silence". I found that very interesting and we got to talk to each other. After a long conversation about everybody and his dog we found out that we were both Grandsons of Afrika Bambaataa. We planned to hang out more often so we exchanged phone numbers and he gave me a CDR with some of his recordings before he disappeared. A couple of weeks later I called him up to ask if we could meet, but he told me that he had to leave the country because the local authorities found out that he illegally immigrated from Aldebaran. Before I could say "to hell with this fascist state!!!" the connection was interrupted. I tried to call again, but he must have dumped his phone to make sure nobody could track him down. That was the last time I ever heard from him. A few years ago, there were rumors of him being the sound man for reincarnated John Lennon on various tours around Galaxy Mt23, unfortunately I could never afford tickets to find out. One lucky day in 2015 I found the CDR that he gave me on our first and only meeting ever. I discovered 5 tracks and instructions to release them in the year 2016 during a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. You can now own these rare sonic documents pressed on 12" vinyl record. (If you read this Konstantin, get in touch!)

The hip house boom was in full effect, thanks to Tyree Cooper's efforts, and Trax responded with this double-header. 'Power Move' is straight up hip hop, but it's the flip, producer by Trax regular Lidell Townsell, 'I'll Make You Dance' that does the business here. Kool Rock Steady, also known as Edward Rudolph, had serious credentials for an MC, being cousin of one Africa Bambaataa. This release is also notable for yet another misspelling of Lidell Townsell's Christian name (Lydell, since you ask).

Seth Troxler’s Play It Say It label welcomes Phil Moffa as The Butcha for an excellentnew EP entitled "202 Future". Featuring three killer tracks, it is yet another club readyoffering from this most on point label.Phil Moffa, as well as being a fine solo artist, engineer and studio owner who hasworked on labels like The Corner, Plan B Recordings and Sublevel Sounds, alsoreleases on Hypercolour with boss man Seth. He has also collaborated with underground techno heroes like DJ Spider and Anthony Parasole as well as TheMartinez Brothers whom he paired up with on the Tuskegee label last year. As such he knows a thing or two about making dance floors move. His sound is robust and freaky, functional yet full of character, and this EP proves that once again.Arresting opener ‘More Bugged Out Please’ is a massive cut with rolling rubber drums and wild acid lines spraying about up top. Clever filters open and close to add scale and dynamism and coarse claps help drive things along, meaning that dancers will be swept off their feet in the process. Then comes the brilliantly absorbing titular track, ‘202 Future.’ This one is much deeper and darker, more subdued but just as impactful. Paranoid sirens and alarms go off above slow, snaking, dirty and dark sub bass. Percussion grows in stature and becomes a focal point and then acid lines and spooky riffs join the fray to make this a truly tripped out and late night monster.Last but not least, ‘Acid In The 1st Degree’ ups the ante with a shuffling marriage between crisp metal hits that blow in a stiff breeze above buried deep kicks. The effect is uplifting and unsettling, and once a prickly 202 line rips up the track, it’s another certified club anthem that ebbs and flows with real class.

incl. Rolando RemixCYRK is a live show and studio duo that now starts life as an exciting new label in the hands of two Berlin based producers Sierra Sam and Pascal Hetzel. They have both been playing all around the planet as a live act and DJ pair for some time, and now mark their first collaborations in the studio with an excellent inaugural release on their own new label. Bolstering the brilliant EP is a remix from the legendary Rolando.Influenced by Detroit house and techno with shades of electro, the pair have many individual achievements between them. Pascal has released on Sound Of Vast & Upon You, has remixed Kink and has played gigs worldwide at the likes of Analog Room (Dubai), Showcase (Paris), Electric Pickle (Miami), Resolute or TBA (New York), SpyBar (Chicago), Panorama Bar (Berlin), Whisky Disco (Detroit) to name but a few. Sam has released on the legendary Generations R&S, Teknotika Detroit ,Holic Trax ,Tresor & Dark Print, was partner in crime with James Pennington for his Suburban Knight project (live shows and Peacefrog album) and is at home headlining his Watergate live jam residency (where he invites a guest for a total analogue impro) or his regular appearances at clubs like Analog Room (Dubai) or The Wood (Brussels). As such they are a well travelled, hugely experienced pair who promise to bring plenty of excitement to the table with their new label.Up first, the excellently intense ‘Tribute’ is a breezy house jam that verges on techno with its radiant sense of soul, buried deep acid line and effusive pads. It’s a subtly uplifting track with nimble one finger bass that will truly have floors shifting shapes. ‘Hoover’ then gets much darker and deeper, with dystopian synth lines and classic Detroit percussion riding over a slick, snaking groove. It is a track that really pulls you down the rabbit hole and into another dimension.Detroit man Rolando, who has long been associated with Underground Resistance and has released his super groovy techno on a wide array of labels from Saved to Ostgut, flips ‘Tribute’ into a heady, stripped back and serene techno track that hits hard but also comes infused with a serious sense of soul. Lastly, the brilliant ‘Beaubien’ is another standout effort from Sierra Sam and Pascal Hetzel with punch broken beats, a fat lead synth line and expertly filled in spaces that brim with warm pads and real machine made emotion. This is a fine way to launch what promises to be a great new label.

"Love Can't Turn Around" is a Chicago House ANTHEM! A true classic of the genre. Universally recognized and loved, it made history as the very first House record to reach the UK singles charts in 1986 and continues to find new fans today. Inspired heavily by Isaac Hayes' underground Disco smash "I Can't Turn Around", a record that was very big in various Chicago clubs getting plays from DJ's like Ron Hardy, Frankie Knuckles and more. With "Love Can't Turn Around" Farley and Jesse re-appropriated Hayes' Disco vibe and updated it with drum machines, synths and of course, Mr.Darryl Pandy's unique vocal performance centering around the desperation of a lover who has been wronged. A truly influential track that opened the doors for many producers and DJ's in the decades to follow. Here, for the first time, the definitive mixes of this all time classic record are available in one place. Re-mastered and re-issued in conjunction with Trax Records this essential Chicago record lives on. "Now this is how it started"

Freerange HQ says: "This is an exciting one for us, it has to be said. We're nearing our 200th Freerange release and in that whole time there's only been one rissue of a previously available track, that being Blackjoy's 'Untitled'. Almost ten years on and it's time to indulge ourselves once more by presenting you with two of our all time favorite house tracks, which incidentally both happen to be by Chicagoans Hula, Maurice Joshua, Martell Steward and Craig Simpkins - better known as Da Posse. Many of you will probably know 'In the Heat Of The Night' which was released on Future Records in 1988 and some of you might even have a copy on vinyl. If so then good for you because the original is currently changing hands for serious money because somewhat strangely there don't seem to have been any obvious edits or white labels of these particular Da Posse tracks and certainly no official re release on vinyl or digital. We hope you agree that with club music like this sounding every bit as mind blowing today as it did in 1988 it seems only right to help introduce such innovative, influential and timeless music to a wider audience."
