Release:2018 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Delsin's reissue arm once again looks to the revered back catalogue of Lost Trax for a second 12" that picks out the best of the anonymous collective's work. The EP features five cuts taken from two highly sought after EPs released on Tabernacle Records in 2011 and 2012. 'The Eye' opens things up with punchy drum programming and the sort of sci-fi effects and synths that immediately take you to a future intergalactic world. It's a weighty but emotional opener, while 'Pulp' is more twisted and urgent, with warped synth sounds and busy, bristling drums and perc all building pressure throughout. 'The Forest' resets the mood with mystic synths and mysterious atmospheres that mix ambient beauty with suggestive skeletal beats. 'B01' then canes through the cosmos on a Detroit electro tip with slithers of synth, swollen pads and crisp hits and 'Dominion' rounds things out in hurried fashion. The restless electro drums pound away as prickly snares and cymbals, blurts of machine noise and sweeping pads all wrestle for attention and keep you on your toes. This is high octane electro and techno designed with metallic precision but oozing plenty of human feelings.

New long player from Manchester's Claro Intelecto. Entitled 'Exhilarator', the 13 track album marks a return to action for the esteemed producer. A cinematic album of icy techno, weighty bass and poignant melody. From plaintive keys and slow motion drums awash with melody to corrugated industrial drums that don't let up, this is a diverse album in both mood and texture. Moments of ambient celestial beauty exist next to breezy and summery grooves while skewed and sludgy acid sits next to serene underwater dub. Stewart's mission to step outside his usual self has resulted in another landmark electronic album. Killer release.

Conforce is back on his home label with four more of his richly detailed and hugely atmospheric techno tracks. It's his first release on Delsin since latest album Autonomous back in 2017 and finds him in typical underwater techno territory. 'Celestion' kicks things off with smeared pads and rubbery, dubby drums instantly setting a hypnotic groove. The serene ambience makes it feel like you're deep down in the ocean and various deft sonic details drift by the keep things on the move. 'Vessel' is another fathom deep track with supple drums undulating on the sea bed as beams of synth light things up from above. There's melancholy in the pads that brings a rueful vibe, while 'Zephyr' is more troubled and turbulent thanks to the wet, gurgling synths and darker bass sounds. 'Aerial' rounds things out with heavyweight, rumbling kicks and ominous energy that keeps you on edge, despite the presence of beautifully celestial keys. As ever, it all makes for an absorbing trip.

Dutch live-act and DJ duo Artefakt return to Delsin Records with an intricately produced three track release entitled 'Falling Into The Light'. Artefakt began releasing music together in 2012 and now boast a discography spanning Field Records, Konstrukt and Deep Sound Channel, not to mention regular appearances on Delsin where their debut album entitled 'Kinship' dropped in 2017. Returning to Delsin, the pair's next outing once again demonstrates their ever-evolving sound and is an exciting precursor for the launch of their own label later this year. Rolling drums open the release in 'The Blue Hour' as murky synths join hazy atmospherics, making way for 'Weltformel' with its racing syncopated percussion and ethereal pads that ebb and flow throughout the mix. Finally, 'Falling Into The Light' combines springy kicks with crystalline melodies, metallic elements and rattling effects to conclude a mesmerising release.

Delsin Records' Inertia series is back with a powerful four tracker from Yan Cook. The producer from Ukraine has also released Delsin's main label and associated Ann Aimee, as well as Planet Rhythm and Cooked. He makes straight up techno that arrests your attention and does just that again here. 'Toucan' is first and is a spangled, underwater techno track with gurgling lines wrapping round shuffling percussion and insistent drums. It's one to get into your head, while 'Puffin' is more physical, with more warped synths and paddy drums woven together into a fluid, rippling groove that never lets up. The drums on 'Dialogue' are deep and land with real resonance while dubby chords rattling out to the horizon. Last of all 'Flamingo' is the most manic of the lot, with hi speed synths and booming drums all coming together to make for powerful, sub shaking and room filling techno madness. TIP!!

Release:2009 / EU – Reissue
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Yagya's Rigning album from 2009 is the Icelandic producer's most acclaimed dub, techno and minimal masterpiece. Due to popular demand, Delsin are now re-issuing it across three slabs of vinyl. Previously only available as a double pack with eight tracks, the new re-mastered version features all 10 of the tracks from the original CD. Gu?mundsson has been making music for years both solo and as part of the Thule Musik collective. He is an album specialist who has worked as Yagya since 2002 and has put out six albums since then. They come on labels like Force Inc and Sending Orbs - where Rigning was first released - and manage to be both absorbing and detailed yet suitable for relaxing background listening. His last two albums, Sleepygirls (2014) and Stars & Dust (2016) appeared on Delsin Records. Rigning is essentially one long track split into movements. It depicts a city sleeping as gentle rain falls and dubbed out grooves zone you out. Yagya's style is always patient and slow burning, his grooves are long and drawn out and his pads reach up into the heavens. This whole album in coated in a warm fuzz and is a real comfort on dark, long, cold nights. As insular and melancholic as it is, there is also plenty of beauty in the melodies and delicate keys. From dark and gloomy to more optimistic and meditative, there is a sophistication throughout this always cinematic album that continues to make it stand out nearly a decade after it was first released.

Norken, of course, is Lee Norris, best known as Metamatics and a producer with a fine discography that takes in proper deep house, sleek minimal and atmospheric dub.

Back in! Delsin's considered re-issue and re-release arm follows up on EPs from Claro Intelecto and son.sine with a trip back to an early UK techno heyday. The man behind the two tracks getting attention is In Sync aka Lee Purkis, generally regarded as someone who played a key role in the development of house and techno in England not just because of his DJ sets - Purkis would travel to the US to buy records no one else had - but so too for his productions. A steady stream of them was released from 1992 onwards on Irdial Discs, Plink Plonk and Fortune8 and each one was to the furthermost of futuristic techno and deep, spacious house music. The re-issues presented here ('Storm' from a 1992 EP and 'Subway Route' alongside Pluto from 1993) have been fully licensed by Delsin from Irdial and have been transferred from the original master reel-to-reel tape for full authenticity. 'Storm' is an epic 12-minute plus track that travels to the furthest regions of out galaxy where warm so lar winds breeze past, the sound of spaceships circles you and a pinging kick drums drive you along. The hi hats are feathery light and jazzy and curious little alien synth sounds draw you deeper into this still futuristic sounding world. On the flip, 'Subway Route' is a 17-minute house trip that's lively and jazzy, airy and breezy and sounds like Boo Williams jamming with Carl Craig such is its hi tech sense of soul and seductive synth work. As ever this is a quality re-issue from Delsin that shines light on an often sadly overlooked producer and his truly pioneering discography.

Two Dutch institutions in Delsin and 2000 And One team up for a reissue of the 1994 EP Belongings. It was an early release on 2000 and One's influential 100% Pure label and found him in full on space-techno. The EP has been fully remastered and sounds as gloriously futuristic now as it did more than 20 years ago. 'It Belongs To Me (Version)' is an intergalactic techno track with pads drifting off to an infinite horizon as a soft acid line burrows into the big, icy hi hats and punting drums. It's perfectly spacious and sombre, while 'It Belongs To Me (Reprise)' is a much more downtempo and thoughtful version of the track where pained leads synths take the lead and the drums are off in the distance. It's the sound of resignation and dejection in techno form. 'Crystal' then layers in new age harmonies as classic dusty break beats do their dance below. Again the synths are smeared and grand in scale and the whole thing feels like a blissful rave comedown. Last of all, 'Bowed' is a happy and manic melodic track with warped bass and fluttering snares that carry you away to the stars.

Amsterdam based artist nthng continues to have a busy year. Following up an album on Lobster Theremin and EP on Transatlantic, he now lands on Delsin with three tracks that touch on driving dub-techno and dreamy ambient. 'Oralage' opens with upbeat drum programming and gliding hits that make for a smooth flowing groove. Distant pads add some spacey atmospheres and the production is effortlessly warm and driving. 'A Souls Search' takes time out to drift in the cosmos, with waves of muted euphoria washing over you as you sink into clouds of ambient bliss. Lastly, 'Turn To Gaia' is a dubbed out techno roller, with long legged drums looping down low, reverberating chords adding weight and distant bell sounds charting the whole thing in a harmonic glow. It rounds out a super smooth and seductive EP.

Shlomo takes a step away from his own Taapion Records to return to Delsin for his second full EP for the label. The Parisian producer serves up two of his modern techno jams, a lush ambient piece plus a slamming rework by Tommy Four Seven. Up first is In Absentia: Tome 2, a follow up track to his last EP on the label. It is another cold techno cut with turbulent drums down low and icy, slithering hi hats up top all backed by synths that light up the track from behind with a heavenly glow. Tbilisian Cure is a more abrasive affair with blistered synth lines and scurrying electronics running through the fast and brutal drums. Lali then flips the script and offers an ambient excursion with watery synths forming celestial puddles in the sky. It's a zoned out soundtrack that's the perfect comedown. Finishing off the EP, 47 label boss Tommy Four Seven flips this one into a weightless techno groove that rocks back and forth on the drums as sweeping chords leave you feeling suspended in mid air. Plenty of ground is covered in this one, and all with equally compelling results.

Dutch producer and live act Conforce is back with 'Autonomous', a fifth artist album and the latest in his long relationship with Delsin Records. Conforce is Boris Bunnik, a producer who explores the deepest realms of dub, house, techno and electro under many different names. His Conforce alias is where his most club orientated material comes from and this new nine track album finds the Transcendent label boss producing dark syntheses inspired by his hometown and harbour city, Rotterdam, and its automated industries. A masterfully conceptual album that really paints a vivid picture of a harbour as heard from deep down in the depths.

After establishing their Indigo Aera label over the last seven years, Amsterdam figures Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff now step up onto Delsin with a four track debut EP which includes a remix from the legendary Sterac. Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff are long time players on the Amsterdam scene as residents at De School, esteemed label bosses who have put out music by the likes of Kirk Degiorgio, Stephen Brown and Louis Haiman, and as producers with a richly atmospheric dub techno sound. Steve Rachmad aka Sterac joined the studio for the mix down of all tracks, and also provided a dub version of Tesseract. It completes a package of deep and artful techno that is laced with beautiful ambience.

Route 8 back to his techno project Q3A dropping some heavy grooving tracks! A year after his last release on Delsin, the talented Hungarian producer is back with four more cuts of techno and electro excellence, club tracks that ooze atmosphere and intriguing details. The Nameless Place kicks off with a tense and tangled techno track that is urgent and slick as is hurries on through damp underground caverns. The Very End of You completely flips the script and is a slow motion bit of dub. With only sparse kick drums, the focus is on the cavernous pads that smear in huge arcs as watery droplets and heavenly chords add to the brain soothing effect. Temple of Retribution is back to techno, this time with loose, jumbled percussion and clipped drums cantering along at high speed. Again it's roomy stuff with no real edge, the Deva Station drops into house mode, wriggling drums and distant vocal cries finished off with some classic Detroit keys. It's a high tech, soulful track that closes out a diverse and devastating EP.

Delsin's next trick is a debut double 12" from Sentomea, an Amsterdam native, real name Sander Schuurman, you might not have heard of but a real synth freak. Exclusively producing his music in hardware-based live takes, and that gives rise to perfectly imperfect stuff that feels visceral and alive. Often making music with a visual connection, this EP is full of versatile 909 beats and fizzing electronic textures. 'Relative Solace' is up first and is a frosty house trip with bell textures and melancholic strings sounding all celestial and heavenly. 'Wander' is all about a sludgy 909 groove being lit up with bright strings and icy hi hat ringlets as dissonant pads stretch and skew all about the arrangement then 'Fortitude Boogie' has classic Detroit pads, a lovely broken rhythm and a funkateer bassline that makes the whole cut dance and emotional dance. 'Fluid' is more stripped back and clean, with rubbery 909 drums plodding below watery, gurgling synth sounds up top and this most expressive and textural EP closes with the experimental FM synthesis that is 'Matter' with its raw, off beat grooves and glassy surfaces, and finally 'Reminiscent,' a horizontal, star gazing cut that encourages you to lay back and day dream in the grass.

The ninth release on the DSR-C series comes from Rhine. A new name with his roots in atmospheric techno steps up for his first solo EP. 'De Storm' opens the account with a loose collage of textured drums and scuffed-up synths. It makes for a bubbly groove that journeys far off into the night while 'De Bron' is more rooted underground, with cavernous echo chambers run through by supple bass synths and icy hi hat trails. Spooky and haunting, its a track to send shivers down your spine. Last of all, 'Het Meer' is a watery affair, with aqueous drips and drops, radiant pads and then more tightly coiled drums brushing up against one another to make for something atmospheric but also nicely driven. All three tracks are characterised by a rather tender and reflective mood that makes them all the more unique.

August 2016 saw Running Back release a first volume of live tracks from Redshape, but January 2017 sees the much loved artist return to Delsin, his most regard label, for a second offering of the same. This time the EP has one track made in Paris, and one in London, and both are filled with the sort of beautifully bleak and lo-fi sounds that have made this man such a standout artist over the years. Up first is 'London,' a chugging track that builds in pressurised layers of coarse hi hats, gurgling bass and pinging kick drums. It is a hypnotic groove that teases you as elements drop in and out and hisses of static and broken little guitar riffs add some cheeky funk. On the flip-side, 'Paris' is much more playful, with colourful pixelated melodies dancing about the mix, industrial drums working down low and steppy synths fleshing things out. Overall it sounds like a future disco for inebriated robots and is one of Redshape's more party starting tracks.

Michigan's ambient and soundtrack specialist John Beltran introduces a new LP that will be co-released by Delsin and his digital only label Dado Records. Entitled Through the Blinds, it features ten tracks by Blair French, who also appeared on his Music For Machine compilation on Delsin last year, and will be released on January 18th 2016. Blair French aka Dial.81 is an experimental producer and visual artist who won an award for his score of Detropia--a documentary about his home city of Detroit--and now makes his ambient debut. As you would expect of such a project, it boasts suspensory and near spiritual pieces of ambient music with angelic chords and glassy textures. There are also more frosty cuts that sound like a chilly Autumn walk, tracks that feature emotive neo-classical piano pieces and suggestively rhythmic compositions that sooth your mind. The second half of the record touches on church like passages of synth heavy sounds, strikingly sad violins and lo-fi arrangements that sound, one hopes, a little like what you might hear as you pass from this life to the next.

The Inertia sub-arm of Dutch label Delsin is back. After a series of 4 EPs back in 2012, followed by a mix compilation by Delta Funktionen, Inertia-5 introduces Discrete Circuit with a fierce three track EP that follows up previous releases on DVS1's Mistress Recordings. The German artists Andreas and Szymon have been working together since 2012 and also promote their own Away parties across Europe as well as running a label of the same name. Connecting Berlin with Detroit, their EP kicks off with 'Machine Code', a frazzled techno cut with bleeps and alarms, sirens and rusty synths that all make for intense listening. On the flip 'Recursive Descent' is even more unhinged, with a see-sawing, saw-tooth synth line ripping up frantic hits and loopy drums and getting right into your brain as it does so. 'Compiler' is a more subtle, stripped back and seductive techno roller with supple synths undulating above rooted, rubbery kicks and woodpecker like percus sion. Textured and atmospheric, this EP is one for late night techno loving warehouse crews around the world.

After the timely and well received reissue of 'Upekah' in 2013, son.sine is back with new material for the first time in 15 years on the Delsin label. A maven of slow release, organic dub techno, these new tracks prove son.sine still has plenty to say. Up first, 'A Candle' is a super deep and seductive track with big hits, bouncy drums and rich, rounded synth stabs that hypnotise and warm for nine great minutes. 'An Island' is then a more heady and atmospheric track with propulsive, lumpy percussion, vinyl crackle and textural static that sooths the brain and lowers you into a more reflective state of mind. Finally, 'A Room' is the most techno of the lot - with wobbly synths, clacking drums and lots of horizontal pads it rolls on and on, deeper and deeper as distant pads evolve from feeling rueful to the edge of unease. It's a masterclass in tension and long form dub music that proves son.sine should have never gone away in the first place.

Back in! One of the most busy and consistently excellent producers in all of electronic music is Boris Bunnik, and now he is back under his most loved alias, Conforce, on his most regular home, Delsin. As well as releasing as Versalife, Hexagon and many other monikers, the Dutchman is best known for his serious deep and underwater tracks that are part dub, part ambient and part techno. Opening up this new EP is title track Depth Over Distance. Driven by buried deep kick drums, up top are thin lead lines that leave trails like beams of light as ticking percussion and more widescreen synths flesh out the airwaves. Plateau is less spacious and has more detail in its midst including clacking hits which reverb off into the distance, supple and subtle bass notes and a general sense of aqueous fluidity all characterise this brain soothing bit of music. On the flip, Rendez Vous is more directed at the dancefloor with big drums, cold and edgy chords and gentle acid lashings. It's vast in size and scale once more, and drives along with a sense of muted menace. Finally, Closer is another airy and cavernous bit of ambient music that is sombre and serious. Swathes of echo and reverb make for an immersive, underwater soundscape once again and close out the EP in devastatingly emotive style.
