We got to know Dan Only, an exciting emerging artist from the Toronto underground, when he collaborated with Jesse Futerman on our recent “Deep Love 2017″ compilation. His debut record, released on Adam Marshall’s “New Kanada” imprint, introduced his deep instinct for electronic music and unique, boundless approach to deep house. An avid collector of old school gear you can hear the analogue warmth throughout this intricately detailed yet heavy hitting four-tracker.

We're super excited to present the latest artist to join the Dirt Crew stable, French producer Sekou Babe. He ticked all the right boxes for us with this beautiful debut EP "Foresight Prevents Blindness" which explores his fresh and vibey outlook on house with sideways glances to smokey jazz, breaks and garage. The a-side lines up three varied tunes. "Perspectives of the Youth" and "Soukoun" step in quickly with lively breakbeat rhythms. The first boasting warm soul vocals and steady bass groove, the second a melancholic yet uplifting back and forth between vintage piano and warbling rhodes. "Treize Zero Zero Trois" is a deep and dreamy house jam. Cinematic elements infused with punchy percussion and 80s sonic touches add up to good times all round. On the B, our good friend Nachtbraker does what he does best, flipping "Treize Zero Zero Trois" bringing the deep, dubby Amsterdam vibrations. His version is lush, textural and slightly fruity, with surging synths, tropical percussion and a stomping kick. Sekou Babe rounds things off with the extravagant "Crown Collection", showing us yet another colour in his musical spectrum. It's trip hop meets Detroit where warped strings introduce shuffling drums before the track begins to build layering subtle arpeggios, smooth pads, crash hits and a buoyant melody.Sekou Babe would like to add that all tracks were written and produced by b.b. at 7e Republique Studio and says thanks to Peter, Ghizlène, Mohammed and Florian, you beautiful souls.

Hot off the back of "On Top" that featured on our "Deep Love 2017" compilation, Lorenz Rhode returns to the label with his debut full length EP "Risa". A gifted musician, known for his fierce take on funk, performance prowess on German TV show "NEO Magazin Royale" and as part of Detroit Swindle's live outfit, he's sent us a three-tracker packed full of vibe and musicality. Opening the A-side "And I Said" is an uplifting, funked-up house jam. Exuberant and alive it's built around a Rhodes riff with a romantic twist, swelling stabs and straight forward percussion direct from Lorenz' collection of Roland machines. The following "Risa" is loaded with energy. A gritty analogue snare and raw drums punch as central synth lines and rippling arps ramp up the intensity to bursting. On the B1 the mysterious Amsterdam based K.98 returns with his second ever remix! After the huge success of the "Thrilogy" remix for WOLF Music in 2015, we are extremely happy to see Lorenz' original turned into a blasting 909 frenzy, 100% guaranteed dance floor action on this one! Closing we have "Xpandau", a feel-good indie/disco gem reminiscent of Lindstrøm and Röyksopp. The central lead that sounds like something sampled from a dusty African guitar recording, actually came from a vintage Oberheim Lorenz recently fell in love with. Warbling key melodies dance over the top along with tuned percussion, maintaining the light hearted, tropical tinged tone to the end.

Nachtbraker is back! It's been a huge year for the Amsterdam deep house juggernaut who returns to Dirt Crew with his all new and colorfully titled "Really Ties The Room Together” EP. Constantly on the move, he's found time between touring throughout Europe, Asia and South America to continue to push his a-typical house sound forward with this year's HEIST release and his quirky jam "Busy Bee” that was featured on our "Deep Love 100″ Compilation. This three tracker is jam packed with bouncing club tunes and a whole lot of flange. Things kick off with the title track "Really Ties The Room Together". It twists and turns over an unconventional but irresistible groove, shimmying shakers, brass stabs and a serpentine riff work together creating a super tight dance floor cut. "Rew” begins somewhere in deeper territory, suspense building beneath the clouds, a rumbling bass rolls in from over the horizon before a glorious funk guitar blows the whole thing wide open, letting the sun's rays burst through and that familiar Nachtbraker good time energy shine in. The rerub of "Rew” is something altogether new from our deep house protagonist, a break beat and casual groove guide gently towards an ever intensifying acid trip. Don't be fooled by the lovely deep chords, things get nasty in the end. It's best to expect the unexpected from our adventurous resident producer, and this EP is no exception.

An artist as versatile as Alex Krüger is a rare find these days, not only did he release numerous EP’s and albums as Tigerskin or Korsakow since the mid 90s, he’s also been on the forefront of the “Dub Techno” movement since 1999. Now ten years after his last album on “Opossum Recordings” Alex is back with this well crafted genre bending full length “Caves & Cages". From deep techno cuts through rippling ambient excursions to funky reggae infused live jams with Haushausen this work is yet another milestone in the creative bubble Alex lives in (i.e. his studio).

The annual Deep Love compilation has become one of our most important releases to showcase what Dirt Crew Recordings is all about. It gives us the chance to highlight and welcome new faces alongside the residents who keep the Deep music we stand for alive. This year more than ever we have artists from all over the World, from Japan to Canada and Lithuania to Austria represented. The man the myth…Mr. Nightcrawler himself is back with another masterpiece. True to his usual unique blend of many styles, Nachtbraker has delivered typically off-kilter “Cobi Cabani” with crashes and sound design that punctuate a freaky bass and rippling lead. Dropping in for his debut outing on our label, Viennese resident of Sass club and founder of the “Secret Crunch” imprint, Roman Rauch brings the filtered Disco House. Ripe with fruity percussion and deeply ingrained groove, “Sweet Ears” breathes and builds keeping up energy to work bodies throughout the cut. Close friend of the Dirt Crew family and member of Detroit Swindle’s Live super group, Lorenz Rhode is an extraordinary artist who’s not only active in the House Music scene but also created his own Big Band, the Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Ehrenfeld. He gets right to it in “On Top” a legit live key and bass jam with all the funk from a seasoned jazz musician. From across the Atlantic we have Toronto’s Jesse Futerman teaming up with Dan Only, Jesse remixed Harry Wolfman’s last EP on DC and is known for his laid back house grooves. On “Changes” he wanders into coastal tinged Deep House territory.

Never one to rest, our pal The Revenge has been busy as always. His latest LP as 6th Borough Project “Find Your Rhythm” recently dropped on Roar Groove, he created a beautifully delicate remix of Auntie Flo’s “Waiting for a (Woman)", had a change of scenery relocating from Scotland to Denmark and his collab EP with Dirt Crew, flush with Nachtbraker remixes was one of our biggest records of 2016!

incl. Jesse Futerman Remix We’re happy to welcome back Harry Wolfman for a full record after his fine collaborative “Square Lane” EP with Loz Goddard last year. Here he delves into the leftfield side of house, this dreamy 5-tracker. Toronto’s Jesse Futerman joins us for the remix fresh from his debut releases on Church and Omena. “Fermi” brings the tropically tinged deep house heat, wavering pads and buoyant bass paint us a mirage of sweltering summer days ahead. “Ice Thin” starts as a melancholic mover, it steadily builds through dusty samples, shaken percussion and smokey moods elevating the energy into something euphoric. Things get gritty as we flip to the b-side. “Downstream” is a dark and grainy outing, edgy arps work in and out of tough drums and frenzied synths. Jesse’s superb rework of “Ice Thin” features distant horns and vocals that ring out over a warbling rhodes and rumbling bass, then comes the lick of a slide guitar reminiscent of some kind of twisted western. Wrapping up this beautiful and somewhat nostalgic journey we turn to “Outro Version” a funk laden work out. Rich strings and woodwinds fill out the lush landscape that swells and soars across the steady, bottom heavy, dance inducing groove.

Sheffield's thatmanmonkz is quite the sonic force to be reckoned with. With an impressive discography across the board, dropping his most recent album “Columbusing” on Delusions of Grandeur in 2016 and running his own successful imprint “Shadeleaf”, we're very happy to welcome him to Dirt Crew and present his latest EP “Shade Throw”. Kicking things off rough and ready in true Detroit “Hight Tech Jazz” style, “Manna for Poppa” is a Saxed up dance floor bomb ready for the taking. “Intrinsic Divine”, a sonically soaring breakbeat outing lightens the mood a little, think classic trip hop meets modern deep house. The cinematic string arrangement is accompanied by freestyle piano and licks of ad-libbed sax over a steady kit. “Space Jam 2017” sees thatmanmonkz team up with New York City's Clyde Phalanx to create a pure psyched up space house outing. We can picture this one over a sun-drenched Balearic scenery or deep in a dark and smokey basement somewhere. Jazzy freestyle drums underpin a live guitar improvisation that gets truly nasty on this interplanetary journey. Slow and sexy is the tempo for the closing track. “Evolver” is a soulful disco burner reminiscent of Idjut Boys, grooving along with smooth RnB vocals and salacious keys while intoxicating strings lift the energy to pure cosmic goodness.

incl. Red Rack’em RemixStraight after his contribution to the splendid Delusions of Grandeur compilation and collaboration with Sebastien Vorhaus aka "Soul of Hex” as well as his latest EP’s on the Russian "Capital Bass” label and "Swedish Brandy” Ponty Mython is back with a full swung EP packed with cosmic deep house tunes. "How To Get Your Life Together And Succeed” sets the pace for the record, bringing together a kaleidoscope of sounds in Ponty Mython’s signature style, soul meets dance floor punch. "Changes We Go Through” oozes hip shaking appeal, a deep and sleazy bass line leads the charge on this bumping house track. "Watch Over Him” slows things down a touch with live funk and jazz licks conjuring images of session musicians jamming in a smokey club, urging you to get down. On the top of the B-side, we have man of the moment Red Rack’em who delivers a wonderfully "Wonky” house remix in his very unique style, casually combining elements from three of the originals. Next up we have "Love Is Not A Thing”, another body moving sultry deep house offering, dripping with soul, as easy vocals ramble over lazy keys and lively percussion. Finally, easing us to the end of our outing in the sonic stratosphere is "Lopp 17”, back in the funk realm, with some tropical percussion thrown in and a steady grooving bottom end to keep heads nodding right to the last moment. All in all one of the most exciting and Musical records we have ever released .. and with 3 tracks per side this is somehow more a mini Album than EP.

Our latest “Looking for Mushrooms” EP comes to us from a collaboration between long time Dirt Crew resident Tigerskin and gifted jazz pianist and composer Grambow. We first heard from Grambow when his fluid key stylings featured on Tigerskin’s “Faint” in 2015. The title track is a suspenseful and moody journey, lead by live double bass from feature artist “Das Eb". Building in intensity with Tigerskin’s warm production and steady percussive instrumentation until Grambow’s live lead on a gritty synth growls in over the top. A true modern electronic classic as far as we are concernred. “Tsukiji” is a playful deep house groover. Balmy tuned percussion and shaken highs roll along under the light hearted piano which cruises along throughout the whole tropically touched endeavour. This track has “Party” written all over it! “Octocat” is a tougher italo disco tainted work out, tightly programmed live and analogue percussive elements push along, while wailing keys lick over a tenacious grunting bass. You can really taste and feel the long studio sessions the guys had to compose this great track. It is so much more than generic dance music. “Red Fox” is a divine culmination of the pair’s compositional prowess and dance music knowhow. A cinematic and spirited house track that glides and glistens via delicate piano, plucky percussive riffs, bright strings and woodwinds. We are very honoured to release this outstanding musical release by Tigerskin and Grambow.

Since the early years of our Label Tigerskin has been one of our most prominent artists. An integral part of Dirt Crew, he has over 15 releases on the label, either as solo artist or in collaboration with Till von Sein. He has put out some of his best tracks on the label, as well as his debut album “All Those Goodbyes” two years ago. With his new EP “Alex Krüger” shows his many talents in dance music and proves he is not a man of musical boundaries, it ranges from Deep and Tech House through to Techno, with influences from all over. On the vinyl, ‘Faint feat. Grambow’ is a bright and soulful dance floor gem, the melodic Detroit style house track is ripe with tuned percussion, electrifying drum motifs and a live key jam from feature artist Grambow. The A2, ‘Stay’, is a subtle, classy, vocal deep house cut perfect for the early morning. The flip holds ‘Descent’, which resides in more spacious territory, steady and deep with acid and techno undertones, and our very special vinyl only bonus track, Tigerskin’s biggest hit, ‘This Place Is Empty Without You’. This masterpiece was originally released back in 2012 as a digital offering, but we’ve had so many requests from fans over the years to press it on vinyl that we could not say no!

After the very successful "64 Ways" Ep that we released earlier this summer we are ready for more Detroit Swindle "Boxed Out" goodness. The boys have selected some of their fave producers to Lay their hands on four originals from the album. First up is Mr. Freerange himself, Jamie Odell, who delivers a typical deep and fresh sounding reinterpretation of B.Y.O. under his Jimpster moniker. It's a true house jam as only he can build it wit a great "Live" feeling. This is followed by MRSK from Sweden who you might know from his excellent releases on "Rush Hour", "Skudge" or "Sushitech". He boosts the banging "He's Just This Guy, You Know?" to even higher levels with a raw Disco and Funk infusion. The B side opens with Germany's finest "Cuthead" who has just released his debut album on "Uncanny Valley" and who has been a huge inspiration to the boys in the past years, we are very glad that he drops his great skills on the smooth "Me, Myself & You" track. Closing off is non other than legendary Baltimore producer Karizma aka Kaytronik, it's a great honour for us to have such an influential producer on this EP and his take on the album Hip Hop jam "For The Love Of…" is something special. Crystal clear Techno/ House beats with deep subs and the cut up vocal from the original turn this remix into something very special and timeless.
