Fresh from wowing us with that crazy limited promo 45, Parisian Krikor Kouchian delivers 11 tracks of expertly executed boogie funk. BIG TIP!.Think of the neon lights of the boulevard or a late nite drive through the lonely hills, Krikor Kouchian’s "Pacific Alley" propels you to a world of sleaze and excitement, where passion, money, and illicit substances take precedent and the sun beats down in a relentless unforgiving fashion.Spending time as a youth in Southern Cailifornia, the French-born Kouchian developed an obsession with this Americana and the magic of everything California. The music on the radio, from pop, to funk, to hip hop fueled his impressionable mind, later on taking influence in his own music.Pacific Alley is a snapshot of this lost period, full of juicy low slung basslines, slow bpm cruisers, Linn drum crashes, and ride or die melodies. The elements all meld together through this 11 track lp, it's equal parts uplifting and melancholic, downtrodden, yet not without rays of light; the soundtrack for days hanging in front of the corner stores and nights on the strip, both a naive love affair and backstabbing doublecross. This is boogie funk for the grift, a dollar here buys a bottle there so step into the shade, pop the tape in the deck and enter into the concrete dreamworld.

This record, and the full 2xLP that will follow it, are dedicated to and inspired by events in 2015 & 2016, which saw the spectre of global crisis come knocking at Europe’s doorstep. During this time, more than a million migrants and refugees fled their homes in the Middle East, Northern Africa, sub-Saharan Africa and other conflict ravaged areas in search of a better life. For many, hopes of a future for themselves and their families lay in continental Europe. While the reasons for such displacement, on a scale unseen in almost a century, are many, so are the reasons for Europe being seen as the ideal destination. The relative peace and calm of the continent and the prospect of building prosperous lives in Western Europe was enough to mobilize multitudes to embark on the treacherous journey to Europe. One of the most well-trodden paths on this journey was the Balkan route, a trail leading through Turkey, Greece, and the former Yugoslavia. This route was not without its dangers, and the dreams of many were dashed by impassible security fences and discordant EU politics, as one by one they were turned away at borders, or worse, forcibly returned to their countries of origin.

he 100th release on Bordello A Parigi had to be something special. And here it is. The official re-issue of this huge italo banger originally released in 1984 on Merak Music, Italy.‘I’m burning, I don’t know what to do. My love is like a furnace I know you feel it too. On fire, my heart’s in ecstasy I know we’ll stay together, the flames in you and me. I’m on fire, with desire for you. Can’t you feel it too. I’m on fire, want to be with you. Know you want me too. Being with you is uplifting me. Higher and higher so lovingly. Being with you is uptaking me. Farther and farther so dreamily. I’m on fire, I want you. Now I know you want me too. I’m on fire, I want you. Now I know you want me too.’

Various creatures of the native flora and fauna are interpreted musically on Dominik Eulberg’s label “Apus apus”. The music pieces are thoughtfully presented with 2 tracks per EP. His first EP features the track “Bienenfresser“ (eng. bee-eater) on the a side and „Blauracke“ (engl. blue roller) on the flip side. The bee-eater is the most colorful bird of our native lands; a quality which is echoed through the piece of the same name. The composition oscillates from one color into another without losing its significant habitus. It is a musical journey through the color scheme of the bee-eater, through which Dominik Eulberg takes us by way of his iconic style. He succeeds at a striking balancing act between sensitive subtlety and steady pressure, in order to offer us a satisfying share of hedonism. t is a piece of music that provides an intimate listening experience, while simultaneously supplying listeners with a collective, mobilizing anthem. The long introduction of the track emulates the agile flight for prey of the dazzling bird, but then it fervently taps out the stinger of the captured bee, and finally nothing can stand in the way of the massiveness of the celebratory bass drum. Intrepid, yet with a high degree of ataraxia, Dominik leads us through the skies on an expedition into the colorful land of the bee-eater. The magnificent turquoise blue plumage of the blue roller glimmers green or blue, depending on the quality of light. These colors, translated into worlds of sound, are reflected in this piece of the same name. Sparkling melodies intertwine gracefully along musical chains, and create a constant redefinition of the theme. The piece is inviting and catchy in the typical Eulbergian manner; submerging into the auditory tract and manifesting itself with much elegy in the deepest cortex. The blue roller is a sit-and-wait hunter – at first occupied with idleness, until finally capturing its anticipated prey. This imperturbable serenity is felt in this piece of music and illustrates Eulberg's many years of knowledge and experience. He steers his audiences through the true essence of music, while always keeping both hands firmly on the wheel.

Music From Memory’s final 12" for 2017 is a reissue of Dub Oven's self released, and sadly one-off, 1983 EP 'Skin N Bones’.Pioneers in the Post Punk Industrial and New Wave scene in 1980’s San Francisco, Gary Miles (Voice Farm) and Blaise Smith (Minimal Man), met at San Francisco’s notorious 181 Club in December of 1982. This straight/same sex/swing-both-ways late night dive bar was tucked away in one of the city's most risky, drug riddled neighbourhoods. Stationed near the SF Museum of modern Art it attracted a wild audience of local patrons, aspiring young artists and music heads. In the thick of all this the duo felt impartial to a lot what was going on musically and set out to produce electronic music that could break through the "somewhat exhausted post disco sound that was then competing in the local San Francisco clubs". Enlisting soul vocalist Celeste Miller, the duo were also inspired by Lee 'Scratch' Perry / Upsetters dub tracks being produced in Jamaica and created a unique breed of avant guard hybrid New Wave/Electronic Funk. With it's influences seemingly as much rooted in the past and the present as it was focused on the future; Dub Oven formed a distinct, mystical approach to music intended for the dance floor. All three tracks on this 12" embody a signature groove and an inventive synthesized abstraction to express a languishing urban unsettledness and spiritual awareness. Recorded at L7 Studios in San Francisco with the assistance of the the studio’s in house producer Marco Perry (who currently now works with Bjork) the record was unfortunately overlooked by A&R at several major and even local labels and was finally self-released in very limited quantities. Utilising analog electronics and instrumentation, the record draws on elements of dub, new wave, soul and funk to create a sound that is uncategorizable and one that was perhaps simply too forward thinking for it’s time.

Delsin Records' Inertia series is back with a powerful four tracker from Yan Cook. The producer from Ukraine has also released Delsin's main label and associated Ann Aimee, as well as Planet Rhythm and Cooked. He makes straight up techno that arrests your attention and does just that again here. 'Toucan' is first and is a spangled, underwater techno track with gurgling lines wrapping round shuffling percussion and insistent drums. It's one to get into your head, while 'Puffin' is more physical, with more warped synths and paddy drums woven together into a fluid, rippling groove that never lets up. The drums on 'Dialogue' are deep and land with real resonance while dubby chords rattling out to the horizon. Last of all 'Flamingo' is the most manic of the lot, with hi speed synths and booming drums all coming together to make for powerful, sub shaking and room filling techno madness. TIP!!

Rye closes it out taking it in the other direction with tribal drums and voices in tow driving it home. Massive!

Dark Entries Editions is proud to reissue "Perfect High" the 1983 debut 12” by Peppermint Lounge from Germany. The group consisted of Matthias Elvers (synthesizers, bass), Regina Petersen (vocals) and Jorg Burckhardt (drums, strings). They took their name from a popular 1960s discotheque in New York City. Treading the lines between Italo Disco, Electro, and New Wave, the trio crafted a unique sound difficult to classify. Regina’s powerful vocals command attention as they tell the sad tale of a boy searching for the perfect high. The lyrics are based on the poem “The Perfect High” by Shel Silverstein. Melancholic arpeggiators, a throbbing baseline, stuttering samples, vocoder and the classic Roland TR-808 drum machine run throughout the track, which builds to a majestic crescendo, ala Klaus Schulze or Jean-Michel Jarre. This reissue includes the original vocal version, backed with a shorter instrumental version. All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The 12” is housed in an exact replica of the original sleeve with black and white Dali-esque drawing. Each copy also includes a 2-sided postcard lyrics and notes.

Over his twenty year The Hacker has traversed a spread of styles, from frosted electro to raging techno slammers. "Midnight Bliss" shows another side of this multitalented artist. Warmth flows from the title piece. Clean rhythm patterns are spiked by synthlines as liquid melodies are swirled into a carefree cocktail that simply radiates. “Heavy Duty Disco” takes over the flip and runs headlong into speakers. The Hacker builds a track of generous proportions. Textured keys weave through columns of toms and snapping beats before bruising basslines descend for a late night encounter of formidable intent. Without doubt, a future classic from a classic creator.

Bionda E Lupo are like little you'll have heard before, a boy/girl band like no other. Synth wave is fed a line of modern alienation, delusory disco to a disdainful drum beat, house emptied and ridiculed. Rhythms are stark, melodies are as mechanical as the lyrics. "Zug Der Vogel" is sparse, vocals intertwine in an empty embrace whilst bars sparkle. "Twoi Glasza" is more playful. Bright words shimmer against sweeping strings. The past is parodied across the EP but nowhere more so than in "Die Kinder Aus Dem Park." A former classic dug out before being peppered by machine gun percussion. The stilted rhyme of "Eckstein" closes, a ballad of bittersweet images and lost hopes.

First solo EP by Zanias after her Keluar and Linea Aspera projects. This evolution culminates in a mature but radical project. Radicalism has never relied completely on the means to deliver it. It also requires a relationship to society, to culture, at any given time. A solid background must be included in the formula as well. Once certain stability is reached, there is no other way more than taking additional risks in order to produce new work of interest. Finding different mechanisms to corrupt the methodical linearity that underlies artistic production. Corrupting means finding possibilities to create an accident, possibilities to contradict; to prove anomalies within the frame of reference of that new thought is actually possible.

Tidy Line-up including Randomer, Gilb’R, Voiski and Tolouse Low Trax...TIP!In terms of experimental, techno, very few come close to the impact that this UK producer has had on the scene. With a sound that is rarely classifiable, Randomer’s Dekmantel contribution is a staggered, minimally-twisted, dark, kind-of-two step, awesome thing. Versatile Records’ Gilb’R has found himself an integral part of the Dutch scene since moving to Amsterdam, and brings forth his organic, percussive grooves that have helped define his music, and label to date. Salon Des Amateurs’ Tolouse Low Trax provides a seasoned session of amniotic, grizzled, hypnotic post-everything music, that is eerily discomforting and wonderfully pleasurable at the same time. And on the EP’s fourth track, Parisian techno wizard, Voiski adds layered organic, futuristic loops that work to stale the progress of time, and space. To date the 10-year anniversary series has seen new releases by the likes of The Egyptian Lover, Levon Vincent, Gigi Masin, Fatima Yamaha, Burnt Friedman, and many more. Each record is held together by stylistic glue, touching upon the varying facets that come to define Dekmantel as a label, and event series. Along the way, many pioneering artists have been brought under the Dekmantel umbrella, making their debuts on the label – and this, the seventh EP is of no exception, with Gilb’R, and Tolouse Low Trax all releasing their first full tracks with the Dutch imprint, while Randomer and Voiski, having previously released on Dekmantel’s UFO techno side imprint, are also brought into the main fold.

With a nordic feeling of nostalgia Blumareciano depicts the mediterranean sea landscape on a cloudy winter day. Soft beats, braid arpeggiators and thin out vocals build a cinematic scenario of spacious narration, a odyssey vacation thrilled by the new and encouraged by the hope to one day come back home. San Propers Remix takes Blumareciano down to a rusty dirty club and manages to combine techno with the deep vocals of Eva Geist.

New long player from Manchester's Claro Intelecto. Entitled 'Exhilarator', the 13 track album marks a return to action for the esteemed producer. A cinematic album of icy techno, weighty bass and poignant melody. From plaintive keys and slow motion drums awash with melody to corrugated industrial drums that don't let up, this is a diverse album in both mood and texture. Moments of ambient celestial beauty exist next to breezy and summery grooves while skewed and sludgy acid sits next to serene underwater dub. Stewart's mission to step outside his usual self has resulted in another landmark electronic album. Killer release.

Shipwrec is 50 releases old. No mean feat and to celebrate the dutch label is returning to one of its stalwarts, Ed Upton aka DMX Krew. For this very special 12" the veteran audio alchemist conjures up five tracks of machine music magic. Squirming, acid soaked electro forms and melts in "Bush Baby Bug Eyes" before the shapeshifting "EQShift Trak." "Language Reponse" goes up a gear, rhythms zipping along on a highway of bright bars as synth lines beam warmth. The flip skids into the corners for the chiptune freshness of "Irrational Momentum" before the wave funk wizardry of the title piece. Ed Upton cracking open the champagne for this Shipwrec milestone and once again proving his undeniable prowess behind the machines.

Clara and Armand made their first tracks for the retirement of the librarian from their art school in Paris. Beginning the collaboration which brought them to post a few tracks on soundcloud and a first single «Prettiest Virgin» in april. The silky and roaring voice of Clara mixes perfectly with Armand’s drum machine and those 90’s keyboards. Hammering with acid bass, the tandem brings us to an «early warp» sound between Daniel Maloso, Black Devil Disco and Ariel Pink. «Cardan» Ep is a journey into a fantasy of America, but also into a world of Synthesis where nothing is clear, all our orientations are scrambled. Nobody has control. The virgin forget herself, the princess is drowning but the parrot knows everything.

Parrish Smith's debut of dystopic forbidding sets the tone of this label's impressive first release with a superb stark, acid ridden slab of body music. Helena Hauff adds to the proceedings with her remix of Pankow's"Das Vodkalied" taking no prisoners and using heavy percussion in contrast to a wonderfully tense set of arpeggiations, which all descend into skull crushing pressure. Carrying over to the flip side are Pankow, pioneers of the Italian Industrial/EBM scene, with two tracks from their legendary first tape "Throw Out Rite" from 1983. With "Das Vodkalied" disembodied vocals are cut up and come from every direction driven by a raw, off-kilter energy and pounding beat. "I'm Food For You" cranks up the drive and anxiety to create a killer track based around stark arpeggiation. Last of all, Perseus Traxx provides an acidic stripped down venting of frustrations which he spits out with vehemence.

After a feature on Steffi's fabric 94 mix CD (and the accompanying Dolly Deluxe 3 release), Late Night Approach debuts on Klakson with a hyper funky electro twelve. The two tracks on the A side both show machine music that's simultaneously human, whether it's the melancholic shards of melody buried under "Clarence Mews" commanding rhythmic pulsations, or the beautifully striking chords on "Luvquest". However, the b-side takes us to gloomy subterranean pastures with the uptempo banger "Primo", while A2 "Kit" crosses over into broken beats but still keeps the same shadowy atmosphere.

We are honored to announce the latest album from Michel Amatoo aka The Hacker, Le Théâtre des Opérations. Michel began making music in 1989 a the age of 17 in Grenoble, France. He grew up listening to New Wave bands like Duran Duran, The Cure and Depeche Mode as well as the darker side of electro Kraftwerk, Cabaret Voltaire and D.A.F. In 1990s he released a series of 12” singles and an album of cold, calculating and relentless techno. In 1997 he teamed up with Caroline Herve aka Miss Kittin and to release landmark singles and albums that effortlessly channeled the carefree spirit of '80s electro pop (of which we released an EP of lost demos back in 2015). Michel’s new live project sees the enigmatic artist go back to his roots, performing a 100% analogue set directly inspired by his first true loves of New Wave and dark, powerful techno. Le Théâtre des Opérations features 8 new tracks spread evenly across 2×12”s cut at 45rpm for maximum sound quality and DJ utility. The title comes from a metaphysical journal by French-born Canadian science fiction writer Maurice G Dantec. Passionate about avant-garde techno, The Hacker has taken his influences and crafted a potent homage to the power of the synthesizer. Songs veer from gritty, raw EBM to dark, subterranean electro, effortlessly channeling the strains of the Michel’s musical DNA: Front 242, Jeff Mills, Dopplereffekt, Drexciya. The only vocal track features an appearance by longtime friend and collaborator Miss Kittin, named “Time X” after the French science fiction television series Temps X. All songs have been mastered and lacquer cut by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Cover artwork features a collage by London-based artist Anthony Gerace, and each copy includes a postcard featuring a photo of a young Michel from 1989.

Again the music is filled with that signature sound of live African percussion and 303s but this time with additional thumb pianos, hypnotic vocals and spacey synth lines. Purporting to be from Burundi (for all we know this could be the product of an elaborate ruse emanating from Berlin tbh) the enigmatic producer (he? she? they?) has once again excelled and produced an EP that manages somehow to sound uplifting and spiritual at the same time as it is deep, dark and dubby. Whatever, the music's great and that's what matters. Definitely one to watch out for.

The heart beat of industrial noise resonating through weathered metal surfaces. PSR003 is certainly writhing with wild tribal movement informed by the ferocity of feverish drum programming, waterlogged flanging and carefully degraded waveforms creating this fully engrossing and almost unclassifiable techno selection. It certainly puts an emphasis on the "Body" aspect of EBM.

Colour Negatives collects three brand new tracks from the Digitalo founder. The late night rave funk session of “Fujicolor Pro 400H” spikes and spins on beams of concentrated energy. Those same infectious hooks dawn into the flip. “Agfachrome RSX II” is bright, clean and joy filled; Skatebård delivering pure goodness to nurture any bodies beginning to flag. Paranoia and the break of day enters with “Kodak Portra 800”, a minimal two stepping demon that cuts like vinegar. Shape shifting synthesizer sounds from an artist who simply ignores genres.

The five track EP exhibits a unique range and dexterity, blurring lines between the realms of techno, EBM, acid and electro with a touch of maladjusted pop and post-punk. From the anxious beat and shimmering tones of “Another Death Experience” to the ritualistic war drums and heavily distorted vocals of “Kisses Are Out of Fashion”, expect to feel dizzied, unnerved, yet beckoned to move. The eponymous track closes out the EP in an undeniably Drexciyan fashion, low-pitched vocals emerging from watery depths in lush sweeping pads and dissonant melodies. A mission accomplished with style.

Tranceonic is the duo of Carlos Perón and Boris Blank of Yello who met in 1971 in their hometown of Zürich, Switzerland. At this time Carlos studied Free Jazz while Boris listened to bands like Pink Floyd and Queen. The two bonded over a conversation about The Mahavishnu Orchestra album ‘The Inner Mounting Flame’ and became musical friends. From 1973 to 1976 they played in the New Wave group Urland. After the split of the group Perón founded the Tranceonic studio with his equipment in his private flat. Carlos invited Boris over to his studio and a concentrated work began. The idea was to make experimental new music with the hopes of having a hit in the United States. Everybody at this time was into punk, but Tranceonic loved industrial and electronic sounds. Their foresight and innovation created new ideas. Perón and Blank made electronic avant-garde music informed by the Berlin and Cologne schools. By 1978 the two had enough material to record an album and made a trip to San Francisco to visit Ralph Records. The Residents promised to release the music if the duo removed all the tape hiss, which never materialized. ‘New Crime’ is the first ever vinyl compilation of material produced, recorded, performed and mixed at Tranceonic Studio between 1976-1979. The equipment set up at the studio included a Farfisa Synth Orchestra, WERSI string ensemble, ARP Odyssey with Sequencer, ARP Quadra, Roland SH 3A, CR-78, Space Echo and Korg Minipops 120P and many effect boxes normally used for guitars. Samples were self-recorded using a Revox cassette deck and turntables. Blank and Perón experimented with manipulated tape loops, echo effects and snippets of found sounds. Blank also explored foreign near-equator exotics playing Arabesque percussion and a homemade bamboo flute. Perón experimented with CV triggering and dubbing super 8 film effects from vinyl. Both members took turns singing Carlos’ lyrics. Stylistically the songs anticipate the feeling of Yello’s ‘Solid Pleasure’ album and included here is the first instrumental mix of “Bostich”. All songs have been remastered by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Cover artwork features a photo of Carlos in Los Angeles taken by Boris in 1978 and design by Maycec. Each copy includes an insert featuring photos and liner notes by Carlos Perón.

Autotomy is a collaboration between Belgium’s Sleeperhold Publications, Brooklyn-based musician Patricia (Max Ravitz) and the Dutch artist Louis Reith. This output is the result of a long process of contemplation, discussion and elimination which gave us a record that encapsulates both Patricia’s sense for hardware production and dance floor rawness. Describing this release is not a simple task. So we’ll just tell it like it is: it’s a record that slows down and, in this process, reveals its mystery. The Strange Case of Tone Drop Out Volume 4 I have tried to recount this most peculiar of musical cases many times before but with each attempt some strange ailment has struck me dumb. I feel that if I put fingers to keyboard I might at least be able to help other revellers, less fortunate than myself to share my wicked fate. One late summer evening I had the good fortune to stumble upon a weighty tome entitled Tone Drop Out Volume 4. Mastered to perfection by Craig Bratley, I further discovered that this substantial slab of vinyl was in fact an unholy conduit to the very rave gods I had tried to flee some ten years previously. The first incantation was a mesmerising, muffled bleeping prayer, a killer bass line squelching to perfection, summoned forth by Dawl, a guise he entitled Caught With A Spray Can. This was indeed not for the faint-hearted and I could only wonder what dark messages were hidden in that glorious aural graffiti. As I plunged further into my personal valley of delirium, I found a track born of John Lilly’s LSD-25 induced pareidolia. This Jungian synchronicity, this addiction to rave whoops was none other than the Corporeal Face, the alter ego of a London DJ, an entity claiming to be Joe Roberts, whose adventures had taken him from Detroit after hours to Berlin boat parties. Phantasies skewed those hardcore tropes I had known in my youth and secured my passage on board a trippy, breakbeat, techno ride that alternated between cascading ecstasy and a macabre bass that I had no intention of ever departing from. Yet depart I did. My transcendental state plunged me further into new realms of consciousness as I became immersed in Peaks Transparent, a four/four shuffler that pounded my spirit across the sonic peaks and troughs built by synths and pads, a monument to the non compos mentis World of Batter, better known by his id, Miles Davies. What were those haunting vocals that teased me from beyond the veil of my inner most shadow aspect? Would they set me free or forever imprison me in their enigma? Secretly I wished for the latter. Do Ears Have Eyes? My journey to the astral plane saw me ride the Valkyrie with The He-Men. We had travelled the sea of tranquillity together many times before but this time they were attempting to conjure the mighty Sub Com, a spirit track that builds upon their weird fascination with squelching acid and rolling basslines that ebb and flow like the cosmic swirls and eddies of quasi mythology. Once through this pulsating tunnel of tick and boom I found myself reborn in a strange apartment looking at a shadow over Innsmouth. I had narrowly escaped a rave seizure such was the power invoked by my extended play but my adventures were just beginning… as in the name of the e.p this is our fourth vinyl release. and dare i say it my favourite. To mark this occassion not only do you have Dawl and The He-Men on this e.p you also have Corporeal face aka Joe Roberts a new firm member of the dropout family and World of batter aka Miles Davies the better half (ha ha ), of our friends Ears have Eyes , who themselves have had many great releases and people we will be working close with for long to come especially in the party side of things. this ep is not for the light hearted its a breakbeat / rave extravaganza.would like to give a massive shout to Craig bratley for mastering all these trax , done a great job, big up respec. Dawl track Caught with a spraycan - quality breakbeat from dawl as always , with tearing drums and mesmerising muffled bleeps rolling along, then comes that killer bassline to beef this ever moving squelching floor filling banger along, as always top dog dawl produces the goods. Corporeal Face - Phantasies - another breakbeat rave monster, tearing dark bass line and the wo wo wo wo reminiscing the losts -Gonzo, roll along before the bleeps and then floor stopping vocal kicks in THE PHANTASY , another cracking dancefloor filler, after hearing this you can see why joe is now part of our family respec . World of Batter - Peaks transparent - this is a totally mesmerising four four shuffler, wicked beat pounding through, with a muffled background voice there just enough to haunt you, while the synths and pads roll and build up and down. so happy to have ears have eyes in our crew quality fellas talented producers. The He-Men - Sub Com - Kicking off with a straight four four beat and rolfs wobble board then comes the percussion and our trademark little noises that introduce the squelchy acid bassline, rolling along with noises coming in and out all the way as the acid builds , before tick tick boom comes the full on rave synths and hardcore break beat that elevates this tune and proper bangs it out, before then very gradually goin back to four four and acid to calm ya down a bit before have have a rave seisure.

So it was time to release some more of this large bulk of data that has been lurking on storage devices for years. Mothball Record presents the first collaboration between Hysteric (Public Possession, Fuego International, Bordello A Parigi) and the prolific Shelter (from Plaisir Partagé and International Feel), who are now working together as H&S. Both known for their edit skills and obscure taste, they now bring us dark balearic versions of two underground Italo killers. With strong new beat influences, and two versions of each track for added flexibility, this record can fit easily in different sets. Limited 300 copies with slick 80s design.

Blind Delon surprised last year to everyone with their sold out debut EP “Edouard”, a work full of darkwave soul but with a very fresh and modern sound as well. This second work “Maniaque” just confirm them as one of the best french acts of the alternative scene, again we are going to find post- punk classical influences updated on a very attractive and personal way, but as well low tempo minimal techno monsters and even naïf pop. It's a sure super seller. All tracks has been remastered by Eric Van Wonterghem at Prodam Studio (Berlin).

Mint Condition - A brand new record label focussed on excavating the outer fringes of classic House and Techno. Unreleased mixes, classics and overlooked gems mined from the last 20+ of contemporary dance music are the order of the day. From Chicago, Detroit and New York to London and beyond, Mint Condition have got their expert digging hats on to bring you exclusive heat and those rarer than rare jams that have been on your wants list for years! Dig in....Detroit's Keith Tucker is a man of many names, the man behind AUX-88, Alien FM, DJ K-1, Optic Nerve and more. If you have even a vague interest in the Motor City's electronic output of the last 20+ years his name will be instantly recognisable as someone who turns out the highest calibre Electro and Techno jams, the type of records that look towards the future for inspiration, existing in the subterranea and sharing the same artistic vision of artists like Juan Atkins Drexciya, Erik Travis, Shake, DJ Stingray and many more. Originally released on Scottish imprint Seventh Sign recordings in 2005 'Detroit Saved My Soul' is a modern classic. It features all the hallmarks of classic 313 Techno and Electro which is to be expected with Tucker behind the boards. First cut 'It's A Mood (Detroit Saved My Soul)' is minimalism done right - stripped back drums with minor synth stabs punctuating flurries of vocoders and KT's voice describing the D as he sees it to us via the medium of music. Killer stuff. 'Elektronik' is up next, almost classically A-U-X sounding, pure Electro beats for the heads. Fast paced machine Funk from 50 years time beamed back to 2017 to tell us what's really up. Oh, watch that bassline, you could get into trouble. Finishing the EP we are treated to 'My Mental State', a slower paced, psychedelic Electro cut with killer drums and rim-shots featuring, again, KT's vox weaving in and out of the mix asking 'where are you, what are you doing?'. Absolutely essential tracks from a modern day Techno legend. Essential stuff.'Detroit Saved My Soul' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Keith Tucker / Seventh Sign recordings for 2017 and remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at your new favourite reissue label - Mint Condition!

What is Amateur Space Jazz? One could call it a Lo-Fi Minimal Wavish version of Cosmic Space Jazz and anything closely related to it; from spiritual soul, G-Funk, Ethiopian jazz to ambient and everything in between; no knowledge of musical theory is required. Played with a D.I.Y punk approach on crappy digital synthesizers - preferably with dubious renditions of real instruments. Warmed up to the right temperature with some offbeat effectsbox. Multitracking is a technique widely used.to Create a "one person band with all its members oneself's multidimensional copies in time." The release comes with a 24 page graphic novel written and drawn by Danny Wolfers himself and a Nightwind Amateur Space Jazz gummy domed sticker. Let's enter world of Amateur Space Jazz.

Making his long awaited return to Salt Mines, Hymns produces a debut 12” flecked with restrained breakbeats, off-kilter rhythms and glistening pads. Opener ‘Water Acid’ is an eerie amalgamation of aquatic electro and tense emotion, built for a fractured dancefloor deep in the arctic ring. A2 ‘Searching For The Real’ provides a brief moment of introspection, before B-side leader ‘Heinz Harald Frentzen’ crashes down and amplifies the intensity with sharp breaks and rapid, stark percussion. Closing the release, title track ‘Waves of Nothing’ showcases Hymns at his best, utilising lonely synths and equally mechanical and organic percussion to create a sentimental, vulnerable climax.

The artist also known as DJ Rei Ayanami is back on the Berlin label with “From Antarctica With Love”. Under the stewardship of George Mavrikos, Nous Disques enjoyed their finest year to date in 2015, with the conclusion of the label’s Ethos series complemented by excellent 12″ releases from Call Super, YPY, O. Xander and Karen Gwyer. But all of the Nous Disques releases this year were under serious consideration with O. Xander a curious entry to the label’s discography. There remains a lack of information on O. Xander aside from the suggestion the artist resides in the icy climes of Antarctica and also operates under the name DJ Rei Ayanami. Some digging through the corners of the internet reveals this may be a fanciful notion, but the idea of O. Xander being the only hardware house exponent to hail from the South Pole remains with the news they are in line for a return to Nous. Taking the Ian Fleming-esque title “From Antarctica With Love”, the five-track 12-inch follows the Nous debut of Los Angeles-based Brazilian Jesse ‘Dreams’ Pimenta and a label compilation.

Nocturnal Emissions has been one of the best kept secrets of the industrial genre since the 1970s.Led by Nigel Ayers, the band was one of the first to use tape cutting, avant-garde art, and underground video works to create a stage experience that was being cultivated by like-mindedartists like Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire. The band moved on to using samplers and electronic noise in their early 80's work, creating a twisted funk sound that would go on to influence everyone from Foetus to Negativland. They still utilized their former tricks, upping the ante with extremist performance art and more professional video displays. The group avoided signing to a major label, instead focusing on releasing their own music more effectively. They followed this path into the 90's when they started www.earthlydelights.co.uk, an incredibly detailed website that promotes their various ideologies (they are strongly against the British monarchy and believe that citizens should have unlimited access to space travel) and constant release schedule. The band has released countless tapes and CDs of their material, and continues to unleash their noise through their website.

The 3 musketeers are back, pouring new life into two more obscure, Italian techno tracks from early 90s. Roby J’s track “Charming the Cobra,” also from the “Where am I?” EP, originally released on Interactive Test records, in 1991. A real trip between psychic percussions and trancey synths. The flip hosts Model Citizen, aka Gabry Fasano, another legend from the 90s Italian Progressive and Techno scene. “The right to Dance and Learn” is a perfect after-hour house track, with a trippy arpeggio and deep, somnolent chords. Both tracks have been extended by LOM, assuring maximum joy and mixing pleasure.
