100 copies only. Comes on blue transparent vinyl. Mastered by Helmut Erler at Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin. The next releases on Eotrax will round off a busy 2018 for the label and set out an exciting proposition for a future way of working and releasing music. In what will be an ongoing, curated collaboration series artists will be invited to make work together for the label, without restrictions on genre, style or aesthetics. An open environment of collaboration and experimentation which will then be released by the label. To launch this series label head Eomac teams up with four different artists over four slabs of vinyl, to be released sequentially over four months. The collaborations are improvised and composed, wild and emotive, unexpected and expected and all of them resulting in music that would never have been made by either artist individually.First up is a two-tracker from techno powerhouse and self confessed ‘noisician’ Paula Temple and Eomac. On the A-side the synth heavy ‘Gestirn’ takes inspiration from Autechre’s classic ‘Eutow’, driving forward with a broken beat while celestial melodic lines reach skyward to unknown realms. The B-side introduces a wilder beast, with the ferocious, pummeling techno of ‘Kralle’.Further collaborations in this first series will come from multi-instrumentalist Seán Carpio, Motus Records boss Demian Licht and sonic renegade Kamikaze Space Program.

Eomac expands the roster of his recently inaugurated Eotrax imprint with the introduction of two forerunners in Berlin's techno scene: Kaltès and Nene H. Both have built respected reputations as exciting artists to watch, as Kaltès organizes Tresor Berlin's female:pressure-affiliated party series and Nene H. turned heads with her Fountain Of Fire performance at Berlin Atonal Festival. Their collaborative record, the Protest EP, presents a call to arms and an empowered take on gnarly techno with a stormy industrial underbelly. For Kaltès and Nene H., the music channels a current zeitgeist. A wail—a rallying cry—appears on each track and provides the record's central motif. In that sense the theme acts as a statement to which each featured artist contributed, including the two remixers: Orphx's Christina Sealey and the Irish Eotrax alum LAIR. It's a howl of anguish, but not from heartache or misery; it's a defiant, determined and empowered battle cry. On "Persist", staunch kicks summon the vocal from a swamp of metallic textures, while on "Resist" it's placed at the center of a thundering black hole, drawing the listener in deeper. In the hands of Christina Sealey, it becomes a smoldering element in a rolling EBM cruiser, whereas LAIR spreads it over a backdrop of shifting ambient textures and dark celestial grumbles.

Over two tracks they have a created a rich tapestry of of disparate ideas that manage to flow and move together harmoniously. The A-side ‘VV Cephei’ combines processed choral samples with rhythms at different tempi to paint a picture of far off galaxies, light particles travelling forever through space. The B-side ‘Algol’ continues this trajectory into the deepest, darkest reaches of known and unknown universes. With records already out from Paula Temple and Seán Carpio, the series will close in December with the final chapter from sonic renegade Kamikaze Space Programme.

100 copies only. Comes on grey transparent vinyl. The collaborations are improvised and composed, wild and emotive, unexpected and expected and all of them resulting in music that would never have been made by either artist individually. Second in the series takes a turn into more abstract territory with a session of improvised electronics from Irish composer and multi-instrumentalist Seán Carpio and Eomac. Using digital and analogue signals the two have created a dense ecology of feedback, pulsating clicks, irregular rhythms and noise over seven tracks. Though highly processed and distorted this is music that hints at the natural world - unexplored micro ecologies and environs beyond our senses. With the first record already out from Paula Temple and Eomac, further collaborations are yet to come from Motus Records boss Demian Licht and sonic renegade Kamikaze Space Programme.

Eomac is back in 2018 with a brand new album. After an intentionally quiet release schedule in 2017 to focus on developing a new label and presenting a monthly show on Radar Radio, he returns to the album format with the 11-track ‘Reconnect’.It is his third studio album proper and the first on his burgeoning Eotrax imprint.Continuing where ‘Bedouin Trax’ and ‘Temple of the Jaguar’ left off, ‘Reconnect’ moves even further from the contemporary dancefloor and club environment and deep into uncharted territory. Drawing influence from traditional Irish music, Haitian voodoo drumming, the raw old-school jungle of Source Direct and the abstract rhythms of Autechre, Eomac has crafted a dense, multi-layered and polyrhythmic exploration of percussion, texture and movement.Inspired by ideas of ancient ecstatic dances and reconnecting with the wild nature that exists in us all, the album imagines how we might cast off the layers of conditioning and all the limitations that keep us from being fully ourselves. In reconnecting with who we truly are - with earth, mother, nature, spirit and moving away from lies, illusions, dogma and the conditioning we receive in a society that sees us as consumers and objects instead of people - maybe we can find the connections that are needed to embrace a more equal, tolerant future. Maybe we can find the courage and motivation needed to begin dismantling the greed-based, white-male-dominated structures that hold us back.
