The story remains one of the music world’s most unusual tales of the 1970s: an obscure debut LP by a Detroit singer-songwriter becomes a source of hope and inspiration to the anti-Apartheid movement in South Africa. Now, the story of Rodriguez and his cult album Cold Fact is the basis for Searching For Sugar Man, a riveting new documentary by filmmaker Malik Bendjelloul. Light In The Attic Records in partnership with Sony Legacy are honored to announce the release of the original motion picture soundtrack, comprising tracks from Cold Fact and its 1971 follow-up Coming From Reality – both reissued in 2008 and 2009 by Light In The Attic. The soundtrack begins with the otherworldly “Sugar Man” and acts as a primer to this long-overlooked musician’s fusion of gritty funk, political poetry and blissful psych-folk.Searching For Sugar Man, a Red Box Films & Passion Pictures Production in association with Canfield Pictures & The Documentary Company, distributed by Sony Pictures Classics in the U.S., was a big hit at this year’s Sundance Film Festival where it won the world documentary audience award and a special jury award, and then went on to screen at SXSW, Tribeca, and the Sheffield Doc Fest. The film opens in New York, Los Angeles, and London (via Studio Canal) on July 27th and will play in other cities throughout the coming months. For a complete release schedule, visit the film’s website: www.SearchingForSugarManMovie.com.
Back in the late ‘60s, Rodriguez was discovered in a Detroit bar by renowned producers Dennis Coffey and Mike Theodore. They recorded a 1970 album that they believed was going to secure his reputation as one of the greatest recording artists of his generation. Instead, Cold Fact bombed, and despite the release of a second LP, entitled Coming From Reality and produced by Steve Rowland, Rodriguez drifted into obscurity, even being subject to rumours that he had committed suicide by setting himself on fire onstage.Cold Fact took on a life of its own when a bootleg recording found its way into apartheid-era South Africa. Banned by the government, the album became a country-wide phenomenon over the next two decades, and the soundtrack to a resistance movement of liberal African youth. Back in Detroit, working in construction and renovation (he also ran for mayor), Rodriguez was totally unaware that he was not just a folk hero but a household name thousands of miles away.Decades later, two South African fans, Stephen ‘Sugar’ Segerman and Craig Bartholomew-Strydom set out to find out what really happened to their hero, and their investigation led them to a story more extraordinary than any of the many myths they’d heard. Their story forms the basis of Searching For Sugar Man.Both sides of the story, Rodriguez’s life in Detroit and the subsequent impact of his music in South Africa, proved fascinating to Stockholm-based documentary filmmaker Malik Bendjelloul. His short documentary films for Swedish Television’s international cultural weekly show Kobra became the basis for such films as Men Who Stare At Goats (George Clooney) and The Terminal (Tom Hanks). The evolution of the financing, production, and filming of Searching For Sugar Man is as fascinating and complex as the life of Rodriguez himself.“I describe myself as ‘musico-politico’,” Rodriguez said recently. “I was born and bred in Detroit, four blocks from the city center. Back then, I was influenced by the urban sounds that were going on around me all the time. Music is art and art is a cultural force. As far as my work from Detroit comparing to the South African Apartheid, the similarities echo. The placards of the 1970s in the United States read things like: We Want Jobs and Stop the War – I was looking at the music from a working class perspective that was relevant, as it turns out, to the kids in South Africa.”

The Italian funk god Luis Enriquez Bacalov is celebrated here with this unmissable 7-inch record, featuring two of his grooviest tracks ever: on the A-side, the legendary Carrefour is maybe his funkiest soundtrack piece, here released for the first time in its entirety, with an unexpected introduction via a powerful horn section, which was cut from the original 1976 RCA 7’’. Behold an eternal jazz-funk masterpiece with solid drum breaks and hip hop heavy beats, funky congas, wah wah guitar, psychedelic organ. This track was used for the 1976 movie “Colpita da improvviso benessere”, directed by Franco Giraldi, but was originally conceived for the 1974 movie “Sistemo l'America e torno” by Nanni Loy. For the B-side, we have chosen from this same score another killer groovy track which was already compiled on our Esterno Notte Volume 1 compilation. Sistemo L’America E Torno - SEQ. 7 has a tremendous rhythm section, a wonderful guitar riff, psychedelic flute, and stunning Hammond organ solos. This is another future classic from the golden age of Italian soundtracks, and an absolute must-have for any and all jazz-funk DJs worldwide!

Rome, Aventino, one of the most amazing neighborhoods in the South area of the capital city. In an old garage, fully stored and preserved, tons of 1/4 inch tapes represent the monumental and brilliant work of one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century: the master Piero Piccioni. Caring for, listening to, and taking stock is his son, Jason. We asked him to select three out of many; three chapters of the master’s work, three scores to be rescued and brought to the light in all their expressive and communicative power. Camille 2000 would be the first in the ongoing series. Never published until today on vinyl, it was carefully transferred from the original masters and embellished with several alternative takes and fragments that remained unpublished until now. The work of restoration was performed by Giuliano Radiciotti, while the mastering was made by multi Grammy winner Brian Lucey. "I remember when I heard this music for the very first time in my father's studio in the early 90s. It was truly something revolutionary. It sounded so contemporary that it seems it was written in those days. Can't believe it was twenty years before then, instead!"

Bruno Nicolai is a leading figure in the world of Italian soundtracks although he is primarily known for being the most important of Ennio Morricone’s collaborators and his orchestra conductor in the period of Morricone's greatest production (60‘ and 70’s). But Nicolai's solo works are certainly not of lesser artistic relevance. Tempo sospeso (Suspended Time) is one of the most representative albums in this sense that it was produced by Nicolai in 1975 without any filters or restrictions, in the period of his greatest artistic maturity. The style of his thriller soundtracks of the time, such as The Red Queen Kills Seven Times, Your Vice Is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key, The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave, and Eyeball, is evident here, as well as the vibe of the "electrified" western, largely for the acid fuzz guitar of Alessandro Alessandroni. The instrumentation is varied and the Maestro plays piano, harpsichord, organ, and synth. What is presented here is library music that is definitely above average. The new graphic design of this edition was created by Daniel Martin Diaz from Tucson, Arizona, known for his symbolist works that have been published in The LA Times, NY Times, Juxtapoz, High Fructose, and Low Rider Magazine, as well as four of his own art books. Inside the LP is a free postcard/photo of Maestro Nicolai, a portrait in front of his MOOG. Cover in solid cardboard.

Previously issued on Fontana in 1973 withthe title "Atmosfera", this is certainly one of thetop wanted Italian jazz LP for any seriouscollector, featuring a five-star collective of marvelous musicians such as GiovanniTommaso (bass), Franco Tonani (drums), Angelo Baroncini (guitar), Antonello Vannucchi(organ), Franco D'Andrea (piano), Gianni Basso (Tenor Saxophone), Dino Piana(trombone), Cicci Santucci (trumpet). The result is a pysch and dark jazz- funk sound thatperfectly fits the anxious descent looking human psyche's labyrinth. One of the best, still underrated, Italian soundtracks ever and one of the mostunforgettable Italian jazz sessions of the 70s. One of the rarest and most sought-after Italian holy grail soundtracks ever is finally back from the grave! Originally released in 1966 on Beat Records (45-BT 024), the KRIMINAL main theme was written by Romano Mussolini (Raymond Full in the opening credits) and Roberto Pregadio for this sleazy crime-pop movie directed by Umberto Lenzi, and based on the cult Italian comic hero. Actually, this could be considered one of the best swinging jazz-beat themes from the 60s, with its wonderful horn, acid vox continental organ, and terrific rhythmic guitar. On the B-side, we have another jewel from 1960s Italian spy-pop cinema: the main theme of “Il cobra” (from the Mario Sequi’s movie). This swinging and uptempo jazz-beat piece, written and conducted by the Spanish composer Antón García Abril, is a poisonous shake with a supergroovy mood – a double-sided floor-filler, not to be missed by any serious soul-jazz DJ.

"Mark il poliziotto" (Blood, Sweat and Fear) is a 1975 movie directed byStelvio Massi, the first of a successful trilogy featuring Franco Gasparri asmain character in the role of drug squad commissioner Mark; the actor hadbeen borrowed from the world of photonovels, typical Italian photographicstories published on several magazines that saw him as protagonist forseveral years. The film is one of the most successful examples of the'Italo-crime' genre under many points of view: the plot, the script, thebreathtaking chases and shootouts and, last but not least, the soundtrack. The music for "Mark il poliziotto" was written by Stelvio Cipriani, who hadalready worked with Massi the previous year for "Squadra volante"(Emergency squad). An extremely prolific composer, he can undoubtedly beplaced next to Micalizzi, Bacalov and Morricone for the quantity andespecially the quality and importance of his works.More than many others, this soundtrack is pervaded, in its most energetictracks, by a strong funky groove that recalls the typical sound of the US'blaxploitation' phenomenon; the classical/orchestral component isn't presenthere, in favor of a mix of rock music, wind instruments and keyboards likeHammond and Harpsichord. Everything is, as usual, perfectly balanced withmore smooth and reflective tracks such as "Tenerezza", "Lei e la madre","Nella stanza di lei" and "Porte chiuse".A great Italian 'poliziottesco' classic, originally released in '75 by CinevoxRecord and never reissued on LP to date. This edition, curated by AMSRecords, contains a second take of the song "La fine di Cobb" as a bonustrack, a front cover faithful to the original one and a completely new artworkthat includes extensive liner notes and reproductions of flyers and lobbycards of the film.

Animated sci-fi masterpiece La Planète Sauvage (a.k.a. Fantastic Planet), winner at Cannes Film Festival in 1973, is a bizarre and beautiful film. Towering blue-skinned figures, tiny humanoids in the midst of revolt, and drug-induced Tantric sex transport viewers to a truly magical setting. Composer Alain Goraguer creates an equally hypnotic score from a palette of effects-laden guitars, flutes, Fender Rhodes and strings. While the lush arrangements are reminiscent of Goraguer’s collaborations with Serge Gainsbourg in the 1960s, space-age synth flourishes suggest a more psychedelic era. Moody vignettes flow together in tense, slow-paced funk rhythms and Baroque textures. It comes as no surprise that La Planète Sauvage has been cited as an influence on contemporary artists such as French duo Air and American hip-hop producers J Dilla and Madlib. Gorgeous, interplanetary soundscapes resemble the surreal meeting point between Pink Floyd’s Obscured by Clouds and Broadcast’s Future Crayon. This long out-of-print vinyl release features the original soundtrack recording and newly designed artwork. Recommended for fans of Ennio Morricone, Basil Kirchin and David Axelrod.

After 40 years since its theatrical release, presented here for the first time on vinyl is the phenomenal soundtrack for IL GATTO DAGLI OCCHI DI GIADA (also known as ‘Watch Me When I Kill’) - directed by Antonio Bido (director of THE BLOODSTAINED SHADOW). This top-notch score is undeniably catchy, yet has its creepy moments. The film’s score was created by a supergroup specifically formed for this project and consisted of Adriano Monteduro (vocals and guitar; known for his 1974 record in which he was accompanied by prog band Reale Accademia Di Musica), Glauco Borelli (bass, already in Alberomotore), the well-known composer Mauro Lusini and Gianfranco Coletta who, besides being one of the pioneers of Italian psychedelia with Chetro and Co., was also a founding member of the Banco del Mutuo Soccorso. They chose the name Trans Europa Express with direct reference to Kraftwerk, who released their seminal record with the same title a few months prior.‘Watch Me When I Kill’ certainly has the compositional techniques and instrumentation related to Italian prog, but only less attentive and interested listeners might dismiss it as mere "Goblin-esque”: eerie sound interludes percussion, carillon, piano pieces, distorted and mystical screams, an old tunes in gramophone style, moments of (seemingly) tranquility and rock. The cyclical repetition and varied vaguely Goblin-ian guitar, cadenced by a pressing bass (which occasionally resembles that of Pink Floyd’s “One of These Days”), and a spectral and creepy scat vocal gives the listener pleasant moments of both fear and hypnotic tension. The LP comes packaged in a heavy cardboard cover with hollow cat eyes and a yellow inner-sleeve with photos from the set provided by director Antonio Bido.

In March 2015, it was reported that Alexandre Desplat, who had worked with Edwards on the Godzilla reboot, would compose the score for “Rogue One”. Despite rumors that a contract had not been initially set in place by Lucasfilm, Desplat confirmed in an April 2016 interview that he would serve as composer for the film. However, in September 2016, it was announced that Michael Giacchino would be replacing Desplat as composer, after the film's reshoots altered the post-production schedule, and reportedly left Desplat no longer available.Giacchino only had four and a half weeks to compose the music for the film, beginning almost immediately after finishing production on Doctor Strange. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in November 2016, Giacchino stated: "It is a film that is in many ways a really great World War II movie, and I loved that about it. But it also has this huge, huge heart at the center of it, and that was the one thing I just didn't want to discount. Yes, it's an action movie, and it's a Star Wars film, and it has all the things that you would come to expect and love about that, but I didn't want to forget that it was also an incredibly emotional movie as well. That was what really pulled me in."Giacchino incorporated John Williams' themes from previous films into the score. All music was composed by Michael Giacchino except where noted. Giacchino, who has a history of using track titles that contain wordplay.

Limited edition for Record Store Day 2017!Limited edition on clear acid green vinyl!Goblin's name is very popular since the year of ""Profondo Rosso"" (1975), but even those who know them in depth ""Notturno"" remains an almost completely unknown chapter within their vast discography. The production the music was composed for was edited in two versions, a theatrical one released in 1983 and a television one in seven episodes that was broadcasted only three years later.Led at the time by Fabio Pignatelli (bass), Maurizio Guarini (keyboards) and Antonio Marangolo (saxophone), with the precious contribution of Derek Wilson (drums) and Marco Rinalduzzi (guitar) - from the line-up that had just recorded ""Volo"" - Goblin composed the music for ""Notturno"" already at the end of 1981, upon request by the RAI TV producers. The recorded material was then selected by Cinevox, that only in '83 published the film's soundtrack on LP: given the poor success of the film, also the soundtrack album went virtually unnoticed. It was a pity, because Goblin here returned to work in a field where they almost have no competitors, that of music for films, creating a work that is tense and melancholic at the same time, combining jazz-rock and fusion with the sounds of the early '80s; tension, however - which can't be missed in a spy movie - is always delivered by the soundtrack rock component. The essence of Goblin's music is completely enclosed in the beautiful ""Nocturne"", an opening track that swings among echoes of '007', references to the ""Zombi / Dawn of the Dead"" OST, energetic guitar riffs and synthesizers that dialogue with the keyboards.Re-released on CD a couple times, ""Notturno"" has never been reissued on vinyl before. This AMS Records edition, exclusively made for the Record Store Day 2017, expands the original tracklist with the addition of unreleased takes and with a completely different artwork and a poster that includes a presentation text and reproductions of rare material related to the movie. Although not excellent from the sole cinematographic point of view, musically ""Notturno"" is yet another jewel made by artists that had film music rushing in their blood!

Fire Walk With Me is an altogether more brooding affair than the Twin Peaks series soundtrack. Badalamenti won a grammy for the title track of this LP and it's not hard to see why- it's dangerous, and bursting with smokey jazz thanks to Jimmy Scott. We went back to the master tapes in the Warner Archives and had this recut to fit across two LPs as the score clocks in at 51 minutes. It sounds incredible and punchy, but super nuanced too. From the brooding opening bars of the main Fire Walk With Me Theme, Angelo Badalamenti's gorgeous, eerie score introduces us to a cinematic experience which significantly begins with the smashing of a television screen. Just as the Main Title from Blue Velvet echoed the Hitchcockian hues of Bernard Herrmann, so here we have just the slightest touch of Taxi Driver, as Jim Hynes' plaintive, keening trumpet soars above a landscape of melancholy keyboards, drawing us into a world which is at once alien and familiar. This release is housed in a 425-gsm gatefold sleeve inside a bespoke black die cut outer jacket with black spot varnish finish, complete with obi strip and sleeve notes by film critic Mark Kermode (approved by David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti The artwork got fully approved by the director as the audio got approved by the composerThe 180-gram „Cherry Pie“ vinyl 2LP got remastered by Tal Miller at Warner Archives, while laquers were cut by David Cheppa at Plush Vinyl.

The 1994 action-crime- thriller film directed by Luc Besson (“The Fifth Element”, “Lucy”) stars Jean Reno, Gary Oldman, and features the motion picture debut of Natalie Portman. In the film, Léon (Reno), a professional hitman, reluctantly takes in 12-year- old Mathilda (Portman), after her family is murdered by corrupt Drug Enforcement Administration agent, Norman Stansfield (Oldman). Léon and Mathilda form an unusual relationship, as she becomes his protégée and learns the hitman's trade. The release of this double-LP release marks the very first time the film score by composer Éric Serra has been released on vinyl. Combining both electronic and orchestral cues, Serra creates a score that is tense, yet beautiful, which compliments the film’s action sequences and the childhood innocence of Mathilda. In keeping with Waxwork Records’ tireless efforts to create the highest quality soundtrack and film score releases on vinyl, the audio for “Léon: The Professional” was sourced from the original master tapes and then re-mastered for vinyl by producer and former White Zombie guitarist, J. During the '60s and '70s, three distinguished gentlemen who had built their careers playing French-made exotic jazz (Roger Roger, Nino Nardini and orchestra leader Eddie Warner) met each evening in the Ganaro recording studio. They mainly experimented -or simply played- with keyboards that looked like prototypes of spaceships. Flying high on whimsical and joyful inspiration, the improbable trio used their strange instruments to sketch out the beginnings of something that, at that time, resembled the future of music. This collection presents some of the highlights that resulted from their light-hearted, electronic pop sessions.

Mondo celebrates the 30th anniversary of the “Castlevania” franchise with the premiere vinyl release of the original soundtrack to the 1989 Famicom / Nintendo Entertainment System Three-quel / Prequel: “Dracula's Curse”.“Dracula's Curse” is a dark horse for most beloved of the original NES / FAMICOM trilogy, as it was a happy marriage of the linear elements of the first “Castlevania” and the more exploratory elements of “Simon’s Quest” – a union that led to the introduction of multiple playable characters, multiple paths and multiple endings – that remain franchise staples even today. The story follows Trevor Belmont, Simon’s ancestor and his battles with the prince of darkness, along side three other warriors: Grant Danasty the Pirate, Sypha Belnades the Mystic, and Alucard, Dracula’s Son, who makes series debut here, and will play a more pivotal role in the games to come. The soundtrack to “Dracula's Curse” is important as well. Not only for fan favorite track ‘Beginning,’ a track you’d be nary to find excluded from any future “Dracula's Curse” game, but for the dynamic audio introduced on the Japanese version of the game. The VRC6 Audio chip contained in the Japanese version allowed for a wider array of sound channels, producing a brighter, fuller soundtrack than on the cartridge released in the US. The Nintendo Entertainment System could not process this level of audio, so the version released in the US needed to have the audio scaled back. Despite this audio handicap the US version is still terrific, and the superiority of the which version best is still a matter of debate to this day. No need to choose though, since Mondo’s vinyl re-issue contains both, spread across two LPs, housed in a gatefold jacket featuring amazing new artwork by Sachin Teng.

Franco Chiari, born in 1927 in Naples, was an eclectic artist who is considered a bit of a wildcard of keyboard instruments: he played the piano, accordion, synthesizer, vibraphone and marimba in both jazz and symphony. For three consecutive years (1957/58/59) he won the National Jazz referendum, was vibraphonist in the national TV Orchestra and participated in numerous important broadcasts. He received many awards in his career, and numerous are the artists who have wanted to play live alongside him, including Lionel Hampton, Stéphane Grappelli, Django Reinhardt, Piero Piccioni, Armando Trovajoli, Lelio Luttazzi, and more. In this album released in 1973, the most groovy in his career, and now the most wanted from collectors, he rearranges the compositions of Mario Bertolazzi electronically with the use of synthesizer on rhythms ranging from latin beats to funk. Numbered limited edition with digital downloads included and an amazing cover with splashes of paint, making each copy unique and unrepeatable.

The Ship to Shore Phonograph Company, One Way Static Records & Light In The Attic are proud to announce the release of the 'MANOS' Original Soundtrack and finally give this classic unreleased soundtrack a proper release! Welcome to the original soundtrack to Hal P. Warren's Manos: The Hands of Fate. While the film is often lambasted for being one of the worst of all time, the music by Robert Smith Jr. and Russ Huddleston is a decidedly offbeat and strangely compelling affair. Utilizing sparse, jazzy arrangements to act as counterpoint to the nearly incomprehensible happenings on screen, the music contributes heavily to the films surrealistic and nightmarish tone. Remastered from a recently discovered 35mm magnetic soundtrack, this album combines the music and dialog to the film to create the feeling on "a truly demented stream-of-consciousness radio play." (Scott Johannsson, The Damn Fine Podcast). In early 2015, the original 35mm soundtrack negative to MANOS: The Hands of Fate was discovered, giving fans a better look into the bizarre world of the film. After a restoration by Steve Addabbo at Shelter Island Sound in New York City, sonic imperfections still apply, but definite audio improvements have been made, including a drastic decrease in hiss and distortion. Ship to Shore PhonoCo. believes that this is the definitive audio edition of MANOS: The Hands of Fate.

Limited edition for Record Store Day 2017!One Way Static Records presents for the first time on vinyl and exclusively for Record Store Day 2017: “Metropolis”, ‘An Original Re-Score by Metavari’ for Fritz Lang’s 1927 cinematic classic.Metavari is the stage name of Indiana-based electronic musician Nathaniel David Utesch and is best described as the intersection of nostalgic electronics, ambient soundscapes and off-kilter synth pop music. Since 2008, Metavari have toured extensively in the US; sharing the stage with notable acts such as This Will Destroy You, Maserati, Tortoise, Titus Andronicus, Anamanaguchi, The Appleseed Cast & Small Black.Nathaniel is also publisher of the art and fiction zine, Ferocious Quarterly; and as one half of the Secretly Group art department has designed packaging for bands such as Suuns, Foxygen, Jens Lekman, Julianna Barwick and Tim Heidecker. It comes as no surprise that Nathaniel also took upon him the art direction for this release, all in the 1927 spirit & tradition of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis.Musically it all plays out like a dream, filled with midnight joyrides in stunt cars from Miami Vice. “Imagine Tangerine Dream's Edgar Froese at the wheel, David Lynch rummaging the glove compartment for matches and Phil Collins bound in the trunk."It all fits on here: hints of Twin Peaks, John Carpenter, the reoccurring Metropolis themes in combination with sparse live drums, an alto saxophone, vocals and the sounds of a 1981 ARP Odyssey Mark III. The sweet electro-pop tunes could easily underscore the next Nicolas Winding Refn film. Also, did we mention the fantastic homage to Lindsey Buckingham’s ‘Trouble’?The Metropolis re-score started as a cinema-commission & was performed alongside the film for a sold-out audience on Art House Theater Day 2016. Now it comes to vinyl for the first time, exclusively for Record Store Day 2017. Gorgeously packaged as a double LP edition with gold-foiled jacket artwork. Strictly limited to 1000 copies and a download card will also be included.

Mondo celebrates the 30th anniversary of the “Contra” franchise with the premiere vinyl release of the original soundtrack to the 1992 Super Nintendo sequel: “Contra 3: Alien Wars”.Set 3 years after the original, Red Falcon and his legion have returned to Earth, this time with the intent of launching a full-scale war against its inhabitants. It's up to Bill and Lance, our heroes to scale walls, ride motorcycles, and even cling to soaring missiles in an attempt to defeat the onslaught. The music of “Contra 3: The Alien Wars” is epic to say the least - the looping sequences of each level are longer, taking full advantage of the new audio capabilities available to the composers on the Super Nintendo. In some instances, like with 'Battle Runner' which operates on-the-rails for large stretches, it affords for the composers to have some sequences to go nearly two minutes before a single loop. The sweeping scope of these tracks leads to a chaos absent from the previous chapters of the run-and-gun series, while still obeying the structures and pacing of Video Game music... Just with more complex time signatures, and percussion patterns. This 30th anniversary edition features all 13 BGM tracks from the game.

While We’re Young is Noah Baumbach‘s sparkling follow-up to his 2012 hit Frances Ha. No film has better captured the weird, upended logic of urban sophisticates: the older ones embrace their iPads and Netflix, the young ones crave vinyl records and vintage VHS tapes. The soundtrack is filled with classics such as Paul McCartney‘s “1985” or David Bowie‘s “Golden Years.” The album also features an original score by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. The flm follows Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts as Josh and Cornelia, a childless New York married couple in their mid-forties. As their otherfriends all start having children, the couple gravitates toward a young hipster couple named Jamie (Adam Driver) and Darby (Amanda Seyfried). This vinyl release features the full soundtrack on 180gm black vinyl and a download card.

Fonit's "B 85", part of the legendary Serie Usignolo, which bears the signatures of the mysterious Coscia (perhaps a moniker of accordionist Gianni?) and Formini, is another cult library music release: an orchestral pop record whose tracks are curiously recommended to accompany 'viewings of vast parks, footage of agriculture, ads, moving crowds and congested traffic jams, American working-class districts' with hilarious titles such as "Dayda", "Schizzo", "Palmas", "Murlak" (which casts an incredible fuzz guitar), "Bronx" and "Ciresa Facaud". In two words: a must!

This is the complete original soundtrack (with all the outtakes) for one of the most iconic Italian 'polizzioteschi', the local answer to the Charles Bronson/Clint Eastwood mania of the 1970s. This project also marks the third collaboration between Jóhann Jóhannsson and Denis Villeneuve.

Recipient of multiple "Game of the Year" awards and countless 10/10 review scores, Undertale is amongst our most requested vinyl soundtracks. Ever. For good reason - as Toby Fox's original score accentuates the odyssey of Undertale beautifully - a nostalgic, chip-riffed plummet down a 16-bit rabbit hole. Allusions to classic RPGs like Earthbound and Final Fantasy are certainly obvious, but the magic of Undertale's music is that in the wake of all its retro references, it deftly crafts a unique, emotional identity all its own. Since the original soundtrack to Undertale contains over 100 tracks, we carefully curated the music to fit on this double vinyl set. Fret not, completionists - a digital download accompanies the vinyl, containing the entire, unabridged soundtrack.

Yuji Ohno is a Japanese jazz musician born in 1941. He’s principally known for his musical scoring of Japanese anime-television series, of which Lupin III and the feature film The Castle of Cagliostro are his most well known works. Ohno is also well-known as a member of a jazz trio with bassist Miroslav Vitous and drummer Lenny White. The tracks collected here for Lupin The Third: TV Special are oozing with seventies cool, exemplified by opener ‘Theme From Lupin III’: the snares shuffle, the pianos tease and the upright bass walks with all the swagger of a French master thief. Great funky tunes from the Japanese jazz master!

Recorded live at the Chicago Free Jazz Festival in 1988 and originally broadcast by National Public Radio, this performance features Sun Ra's Arkestra back in Chicago, almost 30 years after he first left for the fertile grounds of NYC, before settling in Philadelphia. It was in Chicago that Ra recorded some of his most legendary material for his own Saturn label, and it is one of the town's where Ra is clearly most comfortable and free, and this performance is indicative of that. An incredible live performance from the Arkestra, one of the longest running and most innovative groups of the 20th century.

The artistic achievement of Egisto Macchi was avant-garde not only for his immense talent and brilliance but for the quality that has managed to infuse every language he used, ranging from instrumental and symphonic music, musical theater, to library sounds more varied and articulated. Towering over all his passion and commitment, is the great inner need to break down the sectarian walls of thinking within categories. He had sensed that beauty could be located anywhere and that the biggest task entrusted to an artist was to leave the surface, always.

Directed by David Mackenzie, Hell or High Water is a heist film starring Ben Foster, Chris Pine and Jeff Bridges. The film is set in West Texas, in an area formerly known as Comancheria, and tells the story of two brothers who plan a bank robbery to save their family farm. The film was extremely well-received during its Premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Critics praised and applauded the memorable performances of its main protagonists and the composers’ moody and minimalist score. Nick Cave of the Bad Seeds and his musical partner Warren Ellis deliver a ravishing score perfectly fitting the dry and arid landscape in which the characters strive to survive. The soundtrack album also includes Blood, Sweat, and Murder (Scott H. Biram), Dollar Bill Blues (Townes Van Zandt), Outlaw State Of Mind (Chris Stapleton) and other country infused titles.

Michelangelo Antonioni´s 1961 masterpiece LA NOTTE is an atmospheric and enthralling movie starring the great Marcello Mastroianni, Jeanne Moreau and Monica Vitti and is the second entry in his famous “alienation trilogy” the central film of a trilogy beginning with “L’Avventura” (1960) and ending with “L’Eclisse” (1962). Antonioni’s composer-of-choice for the first and the third movies was Giovanni Fusco, however, Since LA NOTTE was shot in Milan, Antonioni’s initial idea was to hire a native composer, Giorgio Gaslini considering that there was a big difference between the jazz music that was being produced in the South and in the North of Italy.. Gaslini wrote his score while the film was being shot, making a cameo with his own orchestra in the party that serves as a background for the film. According to his recollections this ended up being the most bizarre and exciting experience of his career. The end result is fairly unique as well: a catalogue of ambience jazz music that boasts an unprecented phsycological thrust.
