The land of the holy Balearic Blah Blah posse present another great limited package! First up is Angel - an ultra-rare demo version of a track by Italian pop legend Luc Bat. The original version of this track came out as a B-side of a 1973 single and is a fierce critique of the Catholic Church. This demo version only surfaced in the 2011 on unofficial CD for a mag dedicated to rare Italian music and was limited to 500 copies. Whereas the original had a sweet pop/tribal psychedic feel, this longer studio jam version has a totally different more ambient arrangement and atmosphere. Mars & Jupiter deliver three superb versions - the cleaned and tweaked ‘Numero Uno Vocal Mix’, the hypnotic loopy ‘Never Slave Mix’ and finally a long instrumental ‘Moonboot Footprint Dub’ which rises to a great crescendo. Also included is a chugging dreamy floor-friendly dub version of an Italian songstress’s Balearic classic. Don’t miss - these always sell out fast.

After a great response to their first two releases, the secret society called Balearic Blah Blah continue to dig deep for number three pulling out secret outtakes and unexpected forgotten classics from their extensive collections. First up is ‘Day Off’, an uber-Balearic cut sounding like a Jose Padilla-era Cafe Del Mar classic or maybe a warm-up track for Alfredo or Leo Mas at Amnesia in that heady summer of ’87. Next comes the brilliant Dub To Me’, a Compass Point Studio creation mixed by Robert Palmer and surfacing for the first time here on vinyl. ‘Pull Dub’ on the flip is another heavy Compass Point gem - an unreleased Larry Levan outtake, with crazy dubbed out guitars and synths lacing the Paradise Garage classic. Lastly we have a great extended version of a long-lost New Romantic floor-filler from one of the UK pioneers of electronic music - one for lovers of the Greg Wilson/Trevor Jackson sound. Limited edition.

Another quality Blah Blah vinyl has arrived full of Balearic beauties. "Fun Games" is a killer - a nice KBE extended edit of the impossible-to-find 80s original. With vocals and production sounding almost like a Sade track, lush keys, the exact right amount of marimbas and Spanish guitar , this is essential for any true collector of 80ties mediterranean. Next is "Run For Fun", one of those secret bar/warm up weapons from the forgotten Ibiza era that hits all the right notes, with a Compass Point Studio vibe, cosmic keys, smooth bass, reggae influenced drums plus added new guitars and production from KBE. "Chak Hahn" is an afro jazzy cosmic spaced out journey - pounding Tony Allen-like drums, jamming funky moog keys, a catchy female "La La " joining to make the perfect beach boogie. To round things off, comes some pure sunset material in that Cafe del Mar early 90ties / late 80ties style. "Blue Nile" has the feel of a forgotten Jose Padilla classic - Spanish and rhythmic guitars combine in a riff that is repeated perfectly, creating a soundscape for drifting off into the sunset Pat Metheny style. One for the true Balearic connoisseurs available on vinyl only - no digital. Strictly limited.
