Compiled over 17 years by friend Jason Willett, Hearing Aid is a collection of American Lo-Fi hero Stevie's songs that cover a wide range of variety: pop genius, sublime instrumental country surf, electronix experiments, bizarre spoken-word theater, dark disc rock, field recordings. This is one of the only readily available releases and 95% of the tracks have never been available. It features 32 songs from his deep cassette archive that were recorded from the late '60's to the early '80's, over 87 minutes of audio. R. Stevie has also just released a split single with low-fi master wunderkind, Ariel Pink. Stevie (son of Bob Moore and nephew of Scotty Moore (Elvis Presley's bassist) is also on the cover of THE WIRE for the June 2012 issue. This compilation of rare tracks comes in deluxe gatefold sleeve and an insert that features 284 images of Stevie.
